MDee Beauty

MDee Beauty has lipsticks, matte liquid lipsticks, and lip glosses developed for every skin type. MDee Beauty uses paraben-free ingredients, pampers lips, including vitamin E, shea butter and avocado oil, keeping lips smooth and moisturized, for long-lasting results. While founder Deidra Smith was choosing the colors and tints, she kept in mind daily life for the everyday woman, regardless of ethnicity. For summer lipstick trends, Deidra recommends using bold reds and sultry pinks, with a pop bright orange and some neutrals.

She says, You can wear your hair pulled back in a cute ponytail, down curly or straight, with a natural glam face and a natural, yet golden eye. Apply concealer on lips first, along with a red/pink lip pencil for bold look.

Smith also recommends preventing lipstick stains on teeth by rubbing translucent powder over lipstick application or taking one finger in between lips and pulling through. This will remove product inside of lips and prevent it from transferring to teeth.

Which is the best MDee product for long-lasting wear? Matte lipstick is ideal for full day wear and minimal smudging. What Mdee products to blend? Glosses and lipsticks pair amazingly together. You can match any color for a glam lip slay or  pair a casually glam graphic tee, distressed jean and pump heel for a fierce girls night or sexy slip dress and kitten heel for a hot date night.

For a natural shine, apply one or two coats onto the center of lips and brush towards the outer corners. The product is buildable, so if you desire more color, add another coat. The cost of the lipsticks are $12 and the lip glosses are $14. The liquid lipsticks are $19.

F-wheel A5 Electric Bike illustrated by Heather Skovlund for 360 Magazine

F-wheel A5 Electric Bike

By: Heather Skovlund x Vaughn Lowery

The F-wheel A5 electric bike has all the perks to an e-bike that you could dream of having while headed to your destination. It sports 14-inch wheels, an ergonomically designed frame, seating for adults and kids, and is easy to maneuver and store tight spaces with its folding capabilities. While you’re likely to see tons of these types of e-bikes zipping around just about any city in China, it’s a fairly extraordinary e-bike in the US.

Curb Appeal

Affiliates of 360 Magazine had the opportunity to test the capability of the F-wheel A5 e-bike. The A5 is sleek and holds a trendy appearance with its 14-inch wheels and minimalist aluminum alloy frame. The A5 is designed for dense urban living with its durability, upgraded seat, and back seat perfect for transporting cargo (with bungee cords) or even a second person/child. The F-wheel is available in three colors: black, red, and white. This sleek e-bike is available in F-wheel A5 Standard as well as F-wheel A5 Deluxe. To customize the look of your new ride, look no further than Gabe Majalca, mastermind of Good Vibe Gliders for an enhanced flare.

Performance

With the amazing durability of the F-wheel A5, you will be able to sightsee in style and go shopping on a whim. The powerful 350W 48V motor will get you to your destination with ease with a max speed of 25KM/H. The F-wheel runs on a 7.5AH battery that is portable and removable, which is fantastic for charging. The added suspensions work nicely for a smoother ride with a noticeable difference in the seat post suspension. The acceleration is powerful, it has been reviewed at around 500W continuous and up to 750W peak for speeds. There are three different riding modes with the A5: Pure Electric Mode, Boost Mode, and Manpower Mode. The F-wheel A5 Deluxe is equipped with a LG lithium battery with a capacity of up to 21AH, with a BMS battery management system to help battery life up to 180KM.

Technology

As previously mentioned, the A5 has three different riding modes. The first, Pure Electric Mode, allows you to ride with no cycling of the pedals. The second, Boost Mode, allows you to pedal with an assist from the power source. Lastly, Manpower Mode, enables you to ride like a human-powered bicycle – no need to power on. There is a power display and real-time speed display in addition to the different modes offered: eco, medium and high. The A5 comes with two keys as well as two fobs to easily start the e-bike up. There is also an extra removable battery. The front and rear brakes work well as well as the front lights and taillights. There is a light on the back of the bike that lights up “EBIKE” which adds a subtle touch of flare to the bike. This e-bike is low maintenance without a derailleur or gears. The 14-inch tires are in a mag wheel – there are no spokes that need to be tuned or that will break. The F-wheel A5 weighs 22.5KG and easily folds up for easier transportation such as when you’re heading into an elevator, riding the Amtrack, climbing stairs or simply placing the e-bike in your apartment. Just simply fold the handlebars down, fold the frame in the front, fold the pedals down, remove the seat and you’re set. There are also sensors on the A5 to notify you if someone or something is too close the bike along with a lock on the battery.

Competition

Competition is very limited with the sleek improvements of the F-wheel A5 electric bike (formally DYU Smart Electric Bike D3). Priced at $700 and worth every cent. The closest competitor is the EB7 Elite Commuter from Swagtron. The next competitor would be the Flido D25 Folding Electric Commuter Bike. The electric bike trend has been on the rise due to communities embracing the go “green” activity. A review left on DYU’s website from Clayton Kent states that the A5 is the “perfect commuter bike enduring at least 70 NYC blocks a day” as well as “it has saved me a lot of money not having to use the train”. With the new improvements to the design and overall functionality to the F-wheel A5 electric bike, it is sure to be the front runner for delivery workers, professionals, and kids at heart.

Co-Founded by eyewear industry vet Kimberly Van Schoyck-Riojas and corporate finance expert Rebecca Lay, the brand is positioned to become a top global, all-inclusive brand. The first to market Global Fit extends beyond the traditional one size fits all approach to address the issue of fit for every shape, size, and gender. Each retailing for $159, the core collection introduces hand-crafted silhouettes in three sizes that unify style and function to create eyewear that is built to be lived in and lasting. Built on the idea “Under One Sun,” Yunizon will donate a portion of all proceeds to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Traditional eyewear brands produce glasses by using general fit guidelines focused on Asian, Universal, Standard, and European fit. Yunizon’s unique Global Fit creates an enhanced, accurate and comfortable design that appeals to a diverse society. Mastering a tailored fit by having three distinct head widths in each style, slide prevention nose pads, modified temple design, ultra-lightweight premium materials, and reduced pantoscopic angle for cheekbone comfort create a perfect fitting pair of frames. Yunizon utilizes light weight, shatter proof, and premium quality CR-39 lenses in all sunglasses.

Yunizonco-founder, Kimberly Van Schoyck-Riojas states, “Having worked in the eyewear industry as a senior product designer for over 15 years, I’ve seen sunglasses go from fashion accessory to daily wear. When sunglasses were purely an accessory, comfort and fit didn’t matter as much. However, given how consumer behavior has changed, particularly with millennials, it is critically important that today’s sunglasses are both trendy and comfortable. Yunizon is uncompromising on style with an unmatched focus on fit.”

In addition to being highly considerate of fit, all Yunizon products are gender neutral, aligning with the brand’s values of free expression and inclusivity. Yunizon Looks to go beyond the traditional approach and disrupt the eyewear industry with their universal designs, innovative fit and high-quality products that appeal to today’s diverse society.

H&M STUDIO SS19

H&M UNVEILS H&M STUDIO SS19 – AN ADVENTUROUS, GLAMOROUS COLLECTION FUELED BY WANDERLUST

Today, H&M unveils the campaign for the H&M Studio SS19 collection, “The Glam Explorer”, styled by Géraldine Saglio and photographed by Lachlan Bailey against the dramatic backdrop of Arizona. Inspired by a glamorous adventurer, the campaign sets the tone for H&M’s decision to swap the Paris Fashion Week catwalk for the Sedona, Arizona desert, where the SS19 collection will debut in an immersive theater format. The unique storyline can be followed on #HMStudio and the collection will be available to purchase beginning on March 21st on hm.com and in select H&M stores.

“The H&M Studio SS19 collection caters to a glamorous, adventurous spirit: we’re designing for a woman who doesn’t want to limit herself. She might be going to a party one evening in a sequined skirt, but the next morning she’s up early to go to yoga in her metallic-stripe leggings – so we’re thrilled to be able to present the collection in Sedona, Arizona, channelling the glamorous explorer spirit that infuses the clothes,” says Pernilla Wohlfahrt , Design Director H&M

“Working on SS19 with the H&M Studio team has been a very satisfying project for me. We wanted to capture the mix of high glamour and nature in its wildest form, inspired by the famous 1975 French movie, Le Sauvage, with Catherine Deneuve as a runaway bride on a tropical island. The combination of high glamour and more utilitarian pieces feels very ‘me’ – I like to dress in this way and I hope other women will too,” says, Géraldine Saglio, stylist and creative consultant

Taking a free-spirited glam explorer as its muse, the SS19 collection offers a versatile mix of thrilling, statement pieces with low-key, utility-led separates. With mood board references that include the vibrantly-hued mineral ponds of Utah, the collection’s key pieces comprise of a rainbow-hued printed dress, a decadent sequin-splattered skirt, and a structured utility jacket – all of which spell effortless glamour.

ABOUT H&M STUDIO

H&M Studio is H&M’s biannual, most fashion-forward collection. Created by a dedicated design team, the limited-edition collection of trend-led looks and statement pieces has in the past been unveiled during Paris Fashion Week with a runway show. In 2019 it will adopt an innovative immersive theatre format.

PETA x Coalition LA

PETA x Coalition LA unites the largest animal rights organization in the world and the premium outerwear brand with 20-years of cruelty-free manufacturing experience! The collaboration is working with retailers to design custom fashion-forward outerwear capsules made from premium vegan materials. The two animal rights advocates launched the collaboration late last year with a limited-edition “Go With The Faux” vegan leather jacket.

Due to the success of this initial collaboration jacket, PETA x Coalition LA will be offering retailers the chance to design and carry a custom fashion-forward outerwear capsule made from premium vegan materials. The collaboration has had the support of WWDMAGIC from the start and will be debuting this custom production service to their buyers first at this coming February show.

“We felt it was important to partner strategically with Coalition LA to bring awareness to all of the WWDMAGIC buyers to know that they too have cruelty-free options when it comes to buying,” said Kelly Helfman, President of WWDMAGIC.

What’s to come:

• Conscious fashion is a focus this show and WWDMAGIC will highlight this important issue to the B2B world at MAGIC

• This year’s show bag will be made from PETA x Coalition LA’s premium vegan leather and will be available to attendees

• PETA x Coalition LA will present a Vegan Fashion Panel on the main floor that will dive into the rise of the conscious consumer and how brands are taking steps toward accommodating the growing cruelty-free fashion market.

• Tuesday, February 5th at 10:30AM – WWD Social House

Conscious Fashion Choices Are Getting Trendy

This panel will dive into the rise of the conscious consumer and how brands are taking steps toward accommodating the growing cruelty-free fashion market.

We’ll be talking with celebrity animal rights activist Daniella Monet, vegan fashion influencer Molly Tuttle, and PETA’s Fashion Campaigns Manager Christina Sewell on the benefits of offering more sustainable options for your shoppers. As a secondary point, all attendees will get the opportunity to look up-close at a vegan materials portfolio swatch books that contain the latest fabric technology such as Pinatex pineapple leather, mushroom leather, and faux fur made with recycled plastic bottles!

“The PETA x Coalition LA collaboration is uniquely positioned to move retailers across the nation towards a more mindful buying behavior, due to the fact that this is PETA’s first campaign with a wholesale manufacturer,” said Darci Wong, Creative Director of Coalition LA.

The challenges of building your own swimming pool

There are a few reasons why swimming pools have become so incredibly popular among homeowners. The first is, very obviously, the enjoyment factor. There’s nothing quite like having your own pool in the warmest months. The other is that having your own pool is great for relaxation and exercise, and a fantastic way of taking greater control over your fitness and health. However, there are some challenges involved with building your own swimming pool, and you should never start building your pool without assessing these factors first. Plan the right way and your pool could be the addition to your property that you always dreamed of.

Talk to experts
Property experts should always be your first port of call. Talk to local realtors about property prices in your area. They will know how much value a pool will add to your property. It could be that there is a little call for it in your area, but the majority of homes will be able to ask a slightly higher price with the addition of a pool.

  • For most people, a pool addition won’t add a significant amount to the overall property value, although it may well increase your property taxes.
  • You should be aiming at spending no more than 15% of your property’s total value, or you run the risk of overspending.

Setting up in advance
You will need to prepare if you decide to go ahead with your pool. Unless you have an army of helpers with shovels, it’s a good idea to make use of a mechanical digger. Pools can take a long time to dig by hand, and you’ll reduce your overall time with some industrial help. The other factor you’ll need to consider is what to do with the excess soil. You’re going to need to rid yourself of that soil, and this could be a big job. It’s often worth contacting a local dumpster company, with Dumpster Maxx offering a variety of Roll Off Dumpster Denver options to choose from. Make sure that you have the right equipment in place to prevent wasted time on your pool.

Design considerations
There are a number of different pool types available, so don’t just dive into a decision. Look at infinity pools and lap pools for the current trends, but you can even design your own style. Look at the space that you have available and think about local materials that are available for lower costs. Those materials can contribute a lot to your overall pool pricing, so if you can reduce the amount you pay due to local availability, all the better. The average pool can cost anywhere from $10k to $60k, so it’s important that you know your budget and work to the limitations that you set yourself.

Planning permission
In the majority of cases, a swimming pool is classified as a permitted development. You will need to remain within the boundaries of your property and behind the building line of your front-facing property. If you’re going for the addition of a designated building to cover your pool, you will usually have to stick to one-story only, although some states differ in their guidelines. Check with experts in local housing laws to make sure that you aren’t stopped halfway through your project.
Worst case scenario, you can always go with an popular pool alternative.

Vaeda Black

Through its sensational choreography from Tony Nominated and Emmy Winning AC Ciulla and the visual prowess of Director James Morano, Singer/Songwriter Vaeda Black has released her brand new video – “Suicide Love”! Based on her original concept, she credits Ciulla and Morano for their ability to bring her vision to life.

With the release of her latest single, “Suicide Love,” Vaeda Black takes the juxtaposition of two seemingly opposite topics and weaves them together to create a dark love story that illustrates the idea of being vulnerable and “showing yourself to another person and letting them love you.”

She says, “It actually started with a text message from my ex-boyfriend while we were together probably about a year ago. I don’t remember exactly what we were talking about, but he wrote ‘that’s called suicide, love.’ Something about those two words next to each other really struck me; they’re so different. I kept thinking it would be such an interesting way to express love, passion and deep wanting, so I wrote a song around it.” The combination of those two distinct feelings gives the song a truly unique sound and style.
