Saint Rien Releases Visuals for Why2

Saint Rien drops highly anticipated visuals for new age hit single, Why 2.

Saint Rien’s solo career is steadily climbing thanks to a handful of hip pop tunes released since the start of 2021. Tell The Truth and Like You were the first two singles laying down a solid foundation for what was coming next.

Today, Saint Rien is releasing the much-awaited visuals for his latest hit, Why2. Highlighting his catchy yet soft vocals while spellbinding us with unexpected changes halfway through the song, the rising artist’s Why2 is once again displaying the acute intuition and vision of his creative spirit.

The music video is written, directed, and produced by Saint Rien, and features his actual partner, Stephanie Flockhart, captured in the clip as his lover. The couple appears on screen in a bed floating over diverse backgrounds. Saint is wide awake while the girl sleeps soundly. The sea, cosmos, or city streets all scroll behind the flying bed, creating a magical atmosphere in which the couple finds themselves isolated from the world.
Why2 is a song that sees Saint share a moment of his life when, despite having everything he could ask for and more, the demons inside his mind tormented him all night.

About this time in his life, Saint shares: “Even when you seemingly have it all, the perfect person to share your life with, a single thought can torment you. Anxiety follows you through every up and down in your life but no one entertains the option that you might not be okay if you ‘should be.’”

Born in Australia and currently residing in Los Angeles, Saint Rien is a former frontman and key songwriter of the Australian Post-Hardcore sensation Storm the Sky. He has now switched lanes and embarked on a blossoming solo career that’s only just getting started.

Lady London – Never

Drumming up critical acclaim as an illustrious artist in a few short years, with destiny for greatness, Lady London shares with the world her new single and accompanying cinematic visual “Never.” The Nigel Uno-produced track serves as a therapeutic release from the New York-born, New Jersey-raised rapper chronicling the vast amount of trials she’s endured that ultimately shapes her to be the resilient woman that she is today.

“Never” is now available to stream/ purchase /share on all streaming music service platforms now. The official music video premiered on YouTube last week.

London shared a special note to fans and followers last week as she unveiled details of today’s momentous release: “This record is my first child—the very first song I recorded the day I landed back in LA & discovered I had lost two years’ worth of my only material on my hard drive. Every song I recorded in my entire career was on that disk. I bled my soul on this record. I speak of my journey through this vicious industry. I speak on the horrors of social media notoriety and even my past relationship. God placed his hand on this record because, for the very first time, I made it for me.”

Earlier this year, Lady London released her heavy-hitting track “Money Over,” which takes on an infectious Barrington Levy sample and pays homage to her West Indian/ Caribbean roots. Rap icon Cardi B praised the track as she took to social media and stated London is “the most slept on.” “Money Over” is currently at 500,000 + views on YouTube. Watch HERE

A few short months ago, the world got a chance to meet the rising star on a national level for the BET Awards as she delivered an empowering message rooted around the Black Lives Matter movement made to inspire the world—and so it did. The Genius presented performance caught co-signs immediately after from Diddy, Revolt TV, and more as most became immediately captivated by her distinct and dynamic flow.

About Lady London

Having earned her Bachelor of Science from Howard University, and Master of Science from the University of Southern California, Lady London is both a noun and an adjective: a person, a feeling, and state of being. An innovator, tastemaker, emerging songwriter, and published author, making her way through Los Angeles with East Coast style. A true pioneer of academia paired with street witt and style, fully dedicating her works to the women not constricted by boundaries, and the men who aren’t discouraged by that.

OMB Bloodbath – Don’t Do It

OMB Bloodbath released the music video for her new single: “Don’t Do It.” They not only honor the rapper’s home but they provide a glance into Bloodbath’s life with loved ones who keep her grounded. Directed by Jon Primo and Edgar Esteves, Bloodbath enjoys some fashionable moments while rightfully parading her Blackness as she cruises through the streets of Houston. These moments also come with a sombering sentiment. Bloodbath’s late mentor George Floyd is honored throughout the visuals as she performs with glee in front of his iconic mural. While bittersweet, Bloodbath has previously shared her inspiring friendship with Floyd in an editorial for Billboard. “He had a good aura about him. You look at a dude that big and think he has to be some type of extra-hard gangsta, but he was the exact opposite,” she said at the time of his death. “That’s why you hear a lot of people call him the gentle giant. He had a heart of gold.”

About OMB Bloodbath

Representing Houston’s historic Third Ward, OMB Bloodbath is in a class of her own. While 2020 was a wild ride for everyone, it was OMB Bloodbath’s pivotal year. Her hustle paid off, when Blood secured a deal with 10:22 PM and Love Renaissance (LVRN), in partnership with Interscope Records.  The release of “Dropout” with fellow Houston star Maxo Kream fanned the flames for what was to come. The song cracked 750K organic views in no time on YouTube and is currently inching towards a million. Also, Bloodbath’s “For Me” became a TikTok favorite. The Chase B and Ken The Man assisted single is also enjoying a ride to the 2 million mark on YouTube, making it her biggest record to date. “My whole hood is rooting for me, my city’s rooting for me. I’m just taking in every moment of it, working hard, and keeping it going,” she explains.

Rob49 – 4 God

Buzzing New Orleans artist Rob49 delivers his widely anticipated full-length project 4 God. The masterfully produced body of work features Rob’s signature Louisiana slang, delivered with a gruff musical cadence that is a refreshingly new sound out of New Orleans–shot through with the velocity of contemporary trap styles. 4 God’ is out now on all digital retailers HERE.

About Rob49

Rob49 arrived on the scene fully-formed, as though he’d been practicing for his first studio session his whole life. The deep-voiced New Orleans artist started rapping officially only a short while ago, but you wouldn’t know it—already people are calling him “baby Soulja Slim” for his magnetic presence and confidence on the mic. Listening to songs like the local anthem “Pent House,” it’s clear these sorts of accolades are earned. Across his propulsive flows, Rob raps with a natural energy and an easy assuredness, putting on for his neighborhood and remembering those he’s lost.

From early in his life, Rob49 had the DIY mentality instilled in him. Born in New Orleans in 1999, and growing up at the intersection of projects in the 4th and 9th Wards (that’s where the “49” in his rap handle comes from), Rob had to adapt to the harsh realities of his environment on his own, part of where the energy in his music originates. That energy has translated to co-signs from Say Cheese founder Shawn Cotton and Mississippi State basketball star Lamar Peters. Since his first studio session, he’s put in work, culling beats from YouTube and local producers. In 2020 alone he put out three propulsive tapes—4our the World, Vulture, and Krazy Man—building buzz in his city. It’s no mystery: on each project he sounds unbelievably poised and possessed by the beat, breathlessly digging into stories about his hood and come-up.

Ebhoni – Rep It

Unfiltered and unapologetic, Toronto’s “bad gyal” Ebhoni shares her latest visual for “Rep It.”. Directed by Jake & Oliver Productions, “Rep It” showcases the 21-year-old in her truest and most authentic form as she commands the screen with her confident “bad bitch” demeanor on full display. Ebhoni channels 90’s R&B nostalgia giving viewers an inside look on Toronto fashion, glam and culture. Watch HERE.

Framing the dissolution of a relationship that never was, her honest lyrics are a candid complement to the track that generates an emotional resonance beyond it’s barely two-minute run time. A product of both faded nighttime and the melancholic reflection of the morning after, Ebhoni’s matter-of-fact verses remain in the same harshly ephemeral gleam that highlights her own personal heartbreak into an evocative anecdote that feels both universally relatable and unexpectedly transcendent.

About Ebhoni

Ebhoni is a Canadian musician and model. Originally from Toronto and moving to Oshawa after her parents’ divorce, she was a Youtuber, doing covers of Beyonce and Keyshia Cole songs before releasing her debut EP, Mood Rings at seventeen in 2017 and her next EP X earlier this year. She has also modeled for Savage X Fenty and Adidas.

George O’Hanlon – The Weight

Singer-songwriter George O’Hanlon released his new single, “The Weight” on Harvest Records. Listen HERE.

Following on from his acclaimed debut single, “The Storm,” “The Weight” is an intense, slow burning piece of music, comprising an elegant guitar refrain, evocative strings and centered on George’s powerful vocal. It’s a song with a real emotional depth which draws the listener in.

“‘The Weight’ is a song about trying to be there for someone even if you’re not around and haven’t been for a while” George elaborates. “Or it’s about falling out of love with someone but wanting to stay with them because of the good parts of the relationship. Or it’s about falling in love with someone but you’re not sure they feel the same way back. Or it’s about none of those things or maybe all of them.”

The release of the single coincides with George’s debut Mahogany session. Featuring stripped back performances of both “The Storm” and “The Weight,” the session is a brilliant showcase of George’s power as a live performer.

Even though O’Hanlon is still only just starting out he’s already picking up early support from the likes of Abi McMcarthy at BBC Introducing and Jack Saunders at Radio 1.

Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke, O’Hanlon’s song-writing is both literary and deeply personal, incorporating his own life experiences into his work while framing them from different perspectives.

Over the last few years O’Hanlon has been refining his playing and songwriting and is now ready to share his music with the world. Following a few early gigs on the college circuit, George expanded out into a series of shows at grassroots venues, adding additional players to his live show and honing his live performance.

Given the sheer power of his music, O’Hanlon looks set to establish himself as an exciting new talent throughout 2021!
