LONDON WEST HOLLYWOOD HOTEL

London West Hollywood Hotel in Beverly Hills held an exclusive rooftop event to celebrate the launch of their summer 2017 collaboration, the Bikini Bar, with clothing brand For Love & Lemons (FL&L).


During this event, guests sipped on the customized For Love and Lemons Lemon Drop Cocktail, snacked on hor d’oeuvres,  and also got their picture taken at the Hive Social Lab ‘Selfie’ booth. Guests included actors Drake Bell and Janet Von and fashion influencers Divani Vasil and Julie Hartwell. From now until the end of September, the hotel will be offering guests “Bikini Bar Menus” in all of their suites. Guests can browse through the curated selection of For Love and Lemons swimwear and call the front desk to have specific pieces sent up. Guests can then try on their pieces from the comfort of their room while sipping on the complimentary For Love and Lemons cocktail. Purchases can be made over the phone or at the hotel’s Alex Roldan boutique. Day visitors can still shop the FL&L selection at the boutique.

Marvel Legacy Re-Introduces Marvel Value Stamps

REGGAE AMBASSADORS THIRD WORLD RELEASE NEW SINGLE “EYES ARE UP ON YOU”

 Celebrating over 40 years in music, one of the most pivotal reggae bands of all time Third World will drop their new single “Eyes Are Up On You” (out July 28, 2017) off their
upcoming full-length album. The song and album are both produced by Damian Marley and will be released on Ghetto Youths International.

Third World’s bassist Richard Daley explains why this musical process comes full circle. “I had the honor of working with Bob Marley back in the 70s doing some recording in London and how remicinensent it is as I sit in the studio working with Damian Marley. It is the same feeling and vibe, as we record and produce songs like “Eyes Are Up On You” and others. It is a great musical moment.”

Damian Marley adds to the excitement and says “I’m proud to be working with my uncles!”

The song, which will be accompanied by a lyric music video to follow. is a reminder that actions speak louder than words. “Eyes are up on you, careful what you do, someone is watching you” states the melodic chorus. The single artwork, inspired by Caribbean-influenced street art, is created by Oakland-based artist Ras Terms, a key figure in Miami’s 80s & 90s graffiti scene who is of Puerto Rican and Colombian descent.

‘The Complex Cover’ Features LANA DEL REY

Alphachanneling’s sensual compositions reference ancient, tantric, Taoist, Hindu and Buddhist tropes. Jerry Saltz exclaimed “there’s an outsider-ish Henri Rousseau quality… Sigmar Polke’s easiness of line and simplicity.” Alphachanneling describes the work as “a devotional prayer to the feminine principal.”

La Guarimba International Film Festival Promotional Movie Posters

La Guarimba is a short film and illustration festival in southern Italy that will celebrate its fifth edition from 7th to 11th of August in Amantea, Calabria (Italy) and has between its partners VIMEO.

 

Every year we call 30 international illustrators to make a poster with our monkey and our slogan (Bringing the cinema back to the people and the people back to the cinema). During the days of the festival, the exhibition takes place in La Grotta (The Cave), a beautiful natural park where centuries ago instead of trees and grass there use to be the sea.

 

Curated by illustrator Sara Fratini, this year’s posters showcase the incredible use of color, art, typography, layout, and design by illustrators from all over the world. Get inspired and check out the posters below from artists like Sarah Clifford, Joanna Hellgren, Daisy Zuo, Carolina Celas, Leonard Peng, Popy Matigot, Barbora Idesová, Caridibuja, Scott C., Erik Svetoft, Max Fiedler a.k.a Mexer, Ilka Meszely, David McMillan, Federica Ubaldo, Daniel Jamie Williams and 15 other artists.
