George Michael freedom uncut sony documentary via 360 MAGAZINE

GEORGE MICHAEL – FREEDOM UNCUT

Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing announced the premiere of GEORGE MICHAEL FREEDOM UNCUT, a deeply autobiographical feature documentary narrated by the late Grammy Award winner. GEORGE MICHAEL FREEDOM UNCUT will be released as a global cinema event on Wednesday, June 22. Details of participating countries and cinemas will be listed HERE from April 27.

Throughout the film, Michael reveals openly and honestly the two distinct sides of his life: his very public music career and his private personal life that cameras never truly saw. Michael was heavily involved in and dedicated to the making of this documentary before his tragic passing in 2016, making GEORGE MICHAEL FREEDOM UNCUT an incredibly special posthumous release and a poignant and moving tribute to his legacy.

The film delves into the turbulent period after Faith leading up to, during and after the making of his “Listen Without Prejudice: Vol 1” album in 1990. At this pivotal period of his life, Michael is able to fight for his artistic freedom and lead the way for others. He meets his first real love, Anselmo Feleppa and navigates both the heartbreak of Anselmo’s early tragic passing from an AIDS related illness and the devastating loss of his mother. GEORGE MICHAEL FREEDOM UNCUT is also a brilliant reminder of Michael’s outstanding musical genius during the Wham! years and throughout his solo career. The film features timeless duets with George’s favourite artists and explores how he influenced the cultural landscape of his generation as one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time.

Interwoven with exclusive, personal archival footage, this year’s theatrical release includes never-seen-before footage from one of the most iconic videos in music history, Freedom! ’90, directed by Oscar nominated David Fincher. The music video has been recently remastered in 4K and will screen in full ahead of the main feature in cinemas worldwide.

Produced by Big Geoff Overseas Limited in conjunction with Sony Music Entertainment and distributed theatrically worldwide by Trafalgar Releasing.

David Austin says, “The film is George’s final work. Narrated by George himself, it is the complete story.”

“George Michael was an inspiring artist whose story deserves to be shared on the big screen globally.” Tom Mackay, President, Premium Content, Sony Music Entertainment says, “In honor of George’s birthday this June, we are thrilled to be working with David Austin and our partners at Trafalgar Releasing to bring fans unprecedented access to his extraordinary life both on and off stage.”

Marc Allenby, CEO – Trafalgar Releasing says, “We are proud to be bringing George Michael’s final work to the big screen in this global cinema event. As an artist whose music continues to resonate across generations, this event will be a fitting tribute to George’s life and career, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate communally in cinemas worldwide.”

Seven Tips to Get Seen Faster by a Doctor

Doctors see so many patients every day of their careers, and they may find it challenging to tell whether you need to be seen right away or if you can wait for a bit. Still, when you need to be seen by a doctor, you have a few options to speed up the journey to getting evaluated.

1. Call Ahead

Some doctor’s offices may take call-ahead appointments. This feature is convenient when you need an opinion on something but are afraid of the wait times. Still, they may have you make an appointment, especially if they are busy or are observing more rigorous COVID-19 safety guidelines. With any luck, they’ll have one available for you the same day you call.

It couldn’t hurt to call ahead and ask about the waiting time. You want to prioritize your health, too, so staying out of a sick waiting room can keep you from catching a cold or virus. Even just giving your primary care facility a heads up that you’ll be coming in can help them prepare accordingly for an extra patient.

2. Utilize Telehealth

Many people couldn’t leave their homes without the risk of getting sick at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Doctors began to use electronic devices to communicate with their patients and continue their routine visits. More appointments became virtual even after the initial surge waned. Now, many people have checkups with their primary care physician, sessions with their therapist and more, all over video chat.

Telehealth visits offer convenience for the health care professional and their patient, as both can feel relaxed in an area of their choice while communicating via a device. About 90% of physicians enjoy meeting via video chat with their patients.

Your primary care doctor may offer telehealth visits. If you have a quick question, you may be able to schedule an appointment with them when times are slow, as they won’t have to prep a room or any devices for you.

3. Know Your Caregivers

Once you start going to a certain place, you begin to know people. You learn the names of the nurses, doctors, receptionists and anyone else you may come into contact with. If someone you don’t know answers the phone when you call, ask for one of your trusted caregivers by name. They may be more willing to squeeze you in for a last-minute appointment if they know you well.

If you don’t have the opportunity to talk to someone you know, be personable to the receptionist or other person who does answer your call. Get their name and begin a short conversation with them. Explain your concerns and why you need to be seen. They may be willing to squeeze in an appointment for you, but don’t be surprised if you have to wait a while like everyone else.

4. Set up a Concierge Medicine Appointment

If you enjoy privacy and comfort in a medical setting, concierge medicine is probably for you. Memberships can give you unlimited access to 24/7 telehealth appointments and in-person visits without waiting times or extra costs. You might have to pay a hefty premium for concierge care, but you’re getting quality service that you have complete access to, no matter the time of day.

This subscription service can be handy for people who have to make trips to a doctor frequently or want a personal relationship with their health care provider. Your physician will be able to devote more time to you since they don’t have as many patients to care for. The quality of service will be better, and you’ll feel listened to. For example, mobile doctors in San Diego are part of this concierge medicine model, bringing personalized healthcare directly to your home or office. This ensures even greater flexibility and accessibility, making it an excellent option for those seeking comprehensive, on-demand medical attention.

5. Go to Urgent Care

Urgent care facilities near you are committed to bringing patients in, getting them diagnosed, preparing their treatment and sending them on their way, all in a timely manner. These clinics are typically open 24/7, so you can rely on them even when your primary care doctor isn’t taking appointments. They cater to people who might not have insurance or are underinsured, so everyone gets the appropriate medical care they need.

Your area should have a couple of urgent care facilities nearby. Some may require you to have appointments. Luckily, you may be able to call ahead or go to their website to book one without waiting.

6. Find a 24/7 Service

Many services offer access to a doctor via video chat at any hour of the day. These doctors may not be in the same area as you, but as long as you have stable internet access, they’ll be able to see and talk to you. You may have to pay a subscription fee, but it may be worth it, considering you can find a doctor any time you want.

The only downside with this option may be that you don’t always get to choose which doctor you will see. Even if you like the physician you receive, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to speak with them again when you have another question. Still, at a less than 20-minute wait for telehealth appointments, you can be sure a doctor will have your attention. You also get to skip the waiting times for in-person visits.

7. Head to the Emergency Room

If your situation really can’t wait, it’s best to head to the emergency room. Doing so might leave you with a few scary-looking bills, but your health and safety come above all else. A trip to the ER might benefit you, especially if you won’t be able to be seen by a doctor for a long time.

You should always go to the emergency room first if you think something is life-threatening, and anyone you call will likely tell you the same thing. However, if you have a concern that is not affecting your breathing or daily activities, stay on hold for a doctor rather than going to the emergency room. That allows them to save beds for people in more critical conditions than you.

Use your best judgment when determining whether you should head to the emergency room or wait for a doctor to see you at your primary care facility. Someone who lives with you should have an opinion, too. You know your body best, but if you’re downplaying or ignoring something, your loved one can inform you that you need to head to the ER. Much of it depends on knowing your body and understanding just how long you can wait to see a doctor.

How to Keep Your Truck in Tip-Top Shape

As a truck driver, it’s your responsibility to keep your truck in great shape. Failing to perform necessary maintenance and repair tasks can lead to breakdowns or unsafe driving.

Whether you have a regular fuel-based truck or you’re the proud owner of an electric vehicle, keeping your truck in optimal shape requires more than a quick clean and polish every few weeks. It requires you to respond to warning lights, keep the fluid levels topped up, and regularly check your tires.

If you spend the time looking after your truck, you can extend its lifespan and improve its functionality. Although it might cost you time and money in the short term, keeping your truck in tip-top shape can reduce your long-term expenses and stress.

Here are some top tips to help you keep your truck in perfect condition.

Inspect Your Truck Before and After a Trip

Simply taking a quick look around your truck before and after every journey you make can help you to spot minor problems before they get worse. You can catch any faults in time to fully fix them.

Spend some time inspecting all parts of the vehicle, including the doors, tires, and windows. If you find anything suspicious, you can either fix it yourself or take your truck to a mechanic.

Some faults can’t be fixed and trucks can eventually break down due to the constant wear and tear on all parts of the vehicle. In this case, you may need to get yourself a brand new truck. You can find an affordable international truck for sale online and have it delivered to your warehouse within a matter of weeks.

Keep the Tires Adequately Inflated

Tires are one of the most used parts of your truck so it’s important to look after them. Alongside inspecting your tires for punctures or damage, regularly check the inflation using a tire pressure gauge.

There is a legal minimum tire tread depth that your truck’s tires must meet. In most places, the minimum is a 1.6 mm tire tread depth. Failure to keep your tires inflated to this level can lead to large fines and an increased risk of accidents.

By inspecting your tires and keeping them in great shape, you can keep your truck rolling smoothly on the roads. Vehicle handling will be much easier and you’ll be more in control of your truck. Smooth driving will improve fuel efficiency, meaning you will spend less money filling up your fuel tank in between deliveries too.

Clean Your Truck Regularly

As simple as it may sound, giving your truck a good scrub is important for its maintenance. Washing the exterior and interior of the truck will keep it looking and smelling fresh.

A well-cleaned vehicle creates a great first impression on customers and conveys your professionalism as a company. You don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive liquids and special sponges. Regular car soap and warm water will do the trick.

Ontario’s Online Gambling Market Launches in April

Ontario’s government has officially launched its first phase of the province’s new regulation scheme for online gambling. In a news release, the government says the law will regulate online gambling in a manner similar to brick-and-mortar sites and will give “a safe and responsible path to a more dynamic industry.” The law allows commercial online gambling in the province for the first time. The Progressive Conservative government says it also has several announcements planned for the coming days, including details about the upcoming launch of an online games room, a new provincial licensing regime for casinos, and an investment agreement for an online poker site. Starting from April, gamblers can enjoy a safe and risk-free gambling experience at top casinos from CasinoLuck.ca ratings and reviews.

Government of Ontario Supports Growth of Industry and Protects Ontario Players

Gambling online has exploded in Ontario in the past two years, and the provincial government has introduced a system of regulation and oversight to ensure that consumers have a safe and responsible path to a more dynamic industry. The first phase of the law went into effect on April, 4 and allows licensed commercial online gambling.

Finance Minister Dwight Duncan stated:

“This legislation will introduce significant new revenues into Ontario’s gaming and economic development strategy while protecting the integrity of Ontario’s gaming operations. Regulating online gambling in Ontario as it does in Ontario brick-and-mortar casinos will ensure that the government has the right tools to protect Ontario’s people from criminals and that gaming is conducted in a manner that is fair to all Ontarians. I thank all those who have worked hard to make this important and significant change in Ontario’s gaming policy.”

The legislation received Royal Assent will provide Ontario-licensed online gambling companies with a regulated business environment, which includes an independent regulator, licensing, taxation, and consumer protections. The new framework aligns Ontario’s regulatory policies and approaches with those of other jurisdictions. This is something that a well-versed casino veteran Mason Barrington believes to bring the online gambling segment in Canada to a new level. Being an experienced gambler, Mason knows what he is saying.

The government’s regulation of online gambling includes the following statements:

  • A new independent Gambling Commissioner will be responsible for ensuring that the integrity of Ontario’s licensed online gambling activities is maintained and protected;
  • The OAG (Ontario’s Anti-Gambling Enforcement Unit) will continue to investigate and prosecute those who attempt to use online gambling to commit fraud or money laundering;
  • Regulations will ensure fair and consistent rules and policies are applied to online gambling and are administered independently from licensed online gambling operators;
  • The government will invest $70 million annually into the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for the next four years and will increase those revenues to $130 million annually;
  • Revenues from the new online gambling system will be used for things like health care and education. Ontario is the only jurisdiction in the country to guarantee that revenue from a regulated online gambling system goes to health care and education;
  • The province will collect at least $30 million annually from fees paid by online gambling companies;
  • Ontario’s legal age to gamble online will be set at 18 years.

Starting from April, licensed online gambling companies are allowed to offer internet-based gambling activities in Ontario. Licensed online gambling companies can provide their products and services under the existing regulations set by the OLG and other gambling companies. They will need to comply with the existing rules which include:

  • Minimum age of 18 years to gamble online;
  • No player can receive the same cash payment for the same product more than once;
  • Payment to players must be in accordance with a players bank account;
  • Licensed online casinos must comply with the Gambling Bill and with the OLG Code;
  • All online gambling services must be independently administered, regulated, and audited by an approved independent audit firm.

Gambling companies operating in Ontario must submit their application and receive their licenses prior to February 1, 2012.

Gaming Minister Christine Elliott noted:

“Since online gambling has grown into a $3.7 billion industry in Ontario, we knew we had to act to protect players and bring fairness and responsibility into Ontario’s online gambling industry. As a result of the extensive consultations, we have had with both industry players and gaming experts, and the careful considerations we have taken into account, the government has adopted the online gambling policy we believe is best in the province.”

Online gambling is the fastest-growing segment of the gaming industry in Ontario. As the government’s policy is consistent with similar legislation implemented by the government in other jurisdictions, this new legal framework will provide a safe and responsible pathway for online gambling in Ontario. This is the next phase of Ontario’s policy development for the emerging online gaming industry.

The government also is announcing several important announcements in the coming days:

In response to concerns from consumers and retailers, the government will be announcing a new initiative that will set a minimum retail price for video lottery tickets and online games in Ontario. This will allow retailers to offer the same price for their products, but with a minimum price to ensure consumers are able to access these games. Retailers have expressed concerns that the minimum price for games will not apply to brick-and-mortar casinos in the province. The government will be announcing a new voluntary agreement that allows brick-and-mortar casinos to sell products at a fixed price in a retail format.

The government will also be announcing plans to provide a safe environment for online poker in the province. A government-appointed Independent Advisory Board will be established and will conduct an independent review of the industry. The Board will examine issues, such as the regulation of online poker, gambling addiction, and the effectiveness of self-exclusion policies, and will make recommendations to the government on a regulatory approach for online poker, including the licensing of new companies and the continued operation of existing companies. The Advisory Board will also be developing a strategy for a new Ontario online games room, which is expected to be launched early next year.

Final Say

Ontario’s new regulations for online gambling are consistent with those in place in other jurisdictions. In the province, revenues will be invested in health care and education. Gambling-related revenues will be collected and controlled by the Ministry of Finance and distributed as required by law. The government will maintain an annual review of the new system to ensure that it meets the needs of the Ontario economy and to protect the integrity of the gaming sector.

Ontario is currently one of the most competitive jurisdictions for online gambling in North America. The local government’s modernized gaming regulations will ensure that Ontario will continue to lead the way as the province that develops and regulates a safe and dynamic online gambling industry.

Lyn Lapid announced debut EP via 360 MAGAZINE

Lyn Lapid – The Outsider

After releasing a slew of viral singles over the past year, breakout songstress Lyn Lapid drops her long-awaited debut EP The Outsider today—listen HERE. The EP, dedicated to all “the outsiders” like Lyn, features 8-songs, including her new single “Pager” alongside fan favorites like “In My Mind,” “I Guess That Was Goodbye,” and the title track “The Outsider.” See the full tracklist below.

On the EP, Lyn says, “I would best describe ‘The Outsider’ as a collection of the different parts of myself that I discovered growing up, and how I learned to accept and set myself apart from the community I grew up in and the people I encountered throughout my life. The focus track of the EP, ‘Pager,’ perfectly encapsulates that sort of idea I had, and it’s the one track on the EP where I specifically talk about the kind of community I grew up in. I grew up in an academically rigorous and competitive community where careers in the fine arts were highly stigmatized and discouraged, so you can imagine the kind of reaction I got when I decided not to go to college and pursue a career as a musician; it was kinda awful, and I got a lot of backhanded comments. I knew that music was my true passion ever since I was little, and eventually I figured I could never win everyone over with the choice I made for myself. I learned to stick with the people who truly got behind me and cut ties with anyone who didn’t.”

She continues, “The other tracks on ‘The Outsider’ all talk about the different ways I felt like an outsider growing up and how I learned to cut ties with the toxic people in my life and find the ones who continue to support me today. I hope that anyone who listens to ‘The Outsider’ knows that there will always be a circle of people who will fully accept who you are, and all you gotta do is go out there and find them.”

This spring, the 19-year-old singer and songwriter will support Ricky Montgomery on his headline tour across North America—see the list of upcoming dates below. This follows Lyn’s previous live shows with Eric Nam and Claire Rosinkranz this past winter.

Surpassing 284 million global streams across her catalogue and amassing 5 million TikTok followers to date, Lyn has affirmed herself as one to watch in 2022 with The Outsider. Stay tuned for more exciting news to come from her this year.

A classically trained musician, unpredictable vocal dynamo, and fearless genre-breaker, Lyn Lapid asserts herself as an individual through and through. At 19-years-old, the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and member of vocal collective EARCANDY has unassumingly emerged as an unapologetic and undeniable voice for her generation. In 2018, Lyn posted a ukulele and vocal cover of “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. on YouTube. She went on to deliver D.I.Y. YouTube renditions of everyone from Ariana Grande and Sabrina Claudio to Edith Piaf and Sarah McLachlan, amassing 60 million-plus views and counting on her channel. In late 2019, Lyn launched her TikTok page, building an audience of 5 million followers and over 1 billion views at a rapid pace. Meanwhile, a snippet of her first original, “Producer Man,” exploded. Produced by Dan Nigro [Olivia Rodrigo, Conan Gray, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lewis Capaldi, Sky Ferreira, Empress Of], the song has gathered over 70 million views and 8 million likes thus far and emerged as “the most-viewed unreleased demo on a TikTok video in 2020.” Following “Producer Man”’s breakout success, Lyn debuted a string of viral releases in 2021, including “Itsy Bitsy,” “Infinite,” and “In My Mind.” Not to mention, she received co-signs from Billie EilishBTS’ Jungkook, and Sabrina Carpenter, amassed over 284 million global streams to date, and has been praised by the likes of Rolling StoneBuzzfeedE!
