ALESSO – SOMEBODY TO USE

Today marks the premiere of “Somebody To Use,” the exhilarating new single from GRAMMY-nominated producer/dance artist Alesso. “Somebody To Use” comes with a toxic mix ready for the clubs too. Watch the new video HERE.

In a glorious moment of worlds colliding, “Somebody To Use” once again proves Alesso’s incredible talent for merging the massively catchy melodies and raw emotion of pop with the forward-thinking sound design of boundary-pushing dance music. Built on a heavenly backdrop of glistening synth and gorgeously cascading beats, the track surges forward with an unstoppable energy paired with velvety vocals. The result: a full-tilt anthem that invites both total surrender and pure catharsis. Already familiar to fans, Alesso has teased and performed the highly anticipated “Somebody to Use” on his sets for the past two years.

“Somebody To Use” arrives as the follow-up to “Chasing Stars,” Alesso’s collaboration with Marshmello, featuring GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter/guitarist James Bay. Soon after premiering in August alongside a beautifully surreal video directed by Jake Jelicich (Dua Lipa, Niall Horan), “Chasing Stars” shot to #10 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart, ultimately spending 11 weeks there. The original track was followed by a VIP mix from Alesso (available HERE) and the breathtakingly intimate ”Chasing Stars (Stripped) [feat. James Bay]” (listen HERE).

Aside from “Chasing Stars” Alesso takes part in the Blade Runner: Black Lotus Soundtrack with Danna Paola on “Rescue Me“ and recently partnered with OneOf – the green NFT platform built for the music community – to release his debut NFT collection “Cosmic Genesis.”

ABOUT ALESSO

A global maverick in the dance world, Alesso has repeatedly proven that his influence transcends boundaries and crosses over into countless genres to that end, he’s collaborated with such eclectic artists as OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Liam Payne, Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, Anitta, and more. With his past hits including the platinum-certified “If I Lose Myself“ and gold-certified “Under Control,” the Sweden native has also found major success with “Calling (Lose My Mind),” which topped the Billboard US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. On Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, his massive breakup anthem “Let Me Go” collaboration with Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line reached No. 9, while “Is That Me” peaked at No. 25. In 2020, he released a pair of hit singles: “Midnight,” featuring former One Direction member Liam Payne, and “THE END“ with goth-pop singer/songwriter Charlotte Lawrence. To date, he’s performed at international festivals ranging from Tomorrowland to Ultra Music Festival to Electric Daisy Carnival, with his national TV experience including closing out GMA’s Summer Concert Series, performing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and taking the stage at the AMAs.

ED SHEERAN – BAD HABITS

GLOBAL SUPERSTAR ED SHEERAN RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE BAD HABITS ALONGSIDE CINEMATIC DAVE MEYERS-DIRECTED OFFICIAL VIDEO

ACCLAIMED SINGER/SONGWRITER SET FOR WEEK-LONG RESIDENCY ON THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN BEGINNING THIS MONDAY, JUNE 28

Global superstar Ed Sheeran officially returns with his new single Bad Habitsalongside the Dave Meyers-directed official video.

Spending the last few years out of the spotlight following his record-breaking two-year Divide tour and the arrival of his first daughter, Ed Sheeran marks his official return with the euphoric, song-of-summer contender, Bad Habits. Sheeran is an artist who motors on nonconformity, with Bad Habits; landing as something unexpected yet wholly his; a testament to a forward-thinking artist who continues to push his art into new dimensions. Deploying an up-tempo, guitar-laced summer anthem, Bad Habits is a song that channels escapist energy and most importantly makes you want to dance. Ed co-wrote and co-produced Bad Habits with long-time collaborators, Johnny McDaid (Shape of You) and FRED (No.6 Collaborations Project).

In the accompanying official video – directed by Dave Meyers (Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar) – we see Ed as we’ve never seen him before as he depicts an alter-ego vampire character. Trading his distinct ginger hair for bleached white and his teeth for fangs, the dark-humor narrative serves as a metaphor for “bad habits” as Ed embarks on a wild night out alongside his crew of ghouls, before morphing back to his real self the next morning, ginger hair intact, as the sun rises over him. The official video made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live/MTVU/MTV’s global network of channels today, as was also trailed on ViacomCBS Times Square billboard.

Ed Sheeran says, “Feels great to be back with my new single. I wanted the video for Bad Habits to play on the nature of habits in a fantastical way, so I decided on vampires. It was mega fun getting into character except for the heights (that wasn’t so fun). Enjoy x

To celebrate the release of Bad Habits, Ed will be performing live today from Ipswich Town’s Portman Road, his home team’s football stadium in Suffolk, England – for TikTok’s UEFA Euro 2020 show, streaming globally on TikTok starting at 4pm EST today. Directed by long-time collaborator, Emil Nava, today’s performance will see Sheeran performing Bad Habits live, for the first time ever, as well as fan favorites.

Adding to all this excitement, Sheeran is set for a week-long residency on The Late Late Show with James Corden, starting this Monday, June 28th (check local listings). During his residency, Sheeran will not only perform some of his biggest hits, live in-studio, each night, kicking off with the television debut of Bad Habits, but will also sit down for a chat with Corden and feature in the show’s comedy segments throughout the week.

Furthermore, Sheeran will deliver an all-new, live performance for the 2021 iHeartRadio KIIS FM Wango Tango, hosted by Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, June 30 at 7pm PT/10pm ET. The virtual event will stream exclusively on LiveXLive.com and broadcast on more than 95 iHeartRadio stations across the country.

Bad Habits marks Sheeran’s first official release since 2019’s Platinum-certified, GRAMMY-nominated No.6 Collaborations Project, which includes the multi-platinum, chart-topping hits I Don’t Care (with Justin Bieber) and Beautiful People (feat. Khalid), and features guest appearances from 22 of his favorite artists including Travis Scott, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Cardi B and Camila Cabello, just to name a few.

Ed Sheeran is currently recording his new album.

Jeremy Zucker Makes Late Night Television Debut with “supercuts”

Last night, Platinum-Certified singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker made his late night television debut performing his new single “supercuts” on The Late Late Show with James Corden—watch the performance HERE!

The live performance, shot socially distanced at New York’s MAISON 10 art gallery, brings Zucker’s feel-good summertime anthem to life. In just a few short weeks, “supercuts” has amassed over 10 million global streams nearly 2 million lyric video views, as the song was hailed by UPROXX as a “feel-good single” and praised by HYPEBAE as “a bright, summer anthem.”

“supercuts” was co-written and co-produced by Jeremy and Max Martin’s MXM camp in Stockholm, Sweden. Sunny guitar strums back-and-forth, as Zucker candidly details being in a relationship that you know is inevitably going to fail. Minimal instrumentation and bright chords offset the sing-song hook, “I don’t want to make your momma cry at dinner and see her at the mall next winter, at Supercuts, she hates my guts, well alright.”

Stay tuned for more to come from Jeremy Zucker very soon!

“….a fantastically ambitious collection of songs, one more direct and intimate than many previous Snow Patrol offerings…“Wildness” signals a triumphant Snow Patrol return.” -Associated Press

This morning, Snow Patrol debut the music video for their song “Soon,” from their album Wildness. Directed by Brett Simon, who has helmed videos for every track on the album, ‘Soon’ is a poignant snapshot of Gary Lightbody and his father, who is suffering from dementia. Lightbody revealed: “Soon’ is about my dad. Three years ago he was diagnosed with dementia. I wanted to write a song that connected us both and let him know I was with him and would be always. The video we made for this (directed by Brett Simon) is me and my dad sitting together watching old home movies. Filming it with him was one of the best days I ever spent with my dad and I’m so grateful he got to share in the day and spend some time in my world. It meant everything to me.” Watch the video for “Soon” here. For more information about how music and technology can improve the lives of the elderly suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s, visit Music & Memory here.

Recently, Snow Patrol have confirmed 8 headlining dates in the UK and Ireland throughout December and January. The band will perform in cities including Dublin, London, and Belfast (full dates below), and tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 8th at 9am Local Time here. Snow Patrol has also confirmed that they will support Ed Sheeran on 24 North American stadium dates, which will kick off at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on Saturday August 18th. The tour will stop in cities including Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas (full dates below), and tickets for all dates are on sale now and available here.

Snow Patrol’s album Wildness, their first album in seven years, is out now and available for purchase on all formats here. To celebrate the release of Wildness, Snow Patrol debuted new music videos for “A Youth Written In Fire,” “Life and Death,” “Wild Horses,” and “A Dark Switch.” The band has previously released music videos for “Empress” “What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?,” “Life On Earth,” and “Don’t Give In,” and you can watch them all here. Additionally, Ed Sheeran showed his support in an Instagram video here.

Snow Patrol recently returned to “Later… With Jools Holland” where they debuted a live rendition of “Empress,” along with performances of “Life On Earth,” “Heal Me,” and “Chasing Cars.” Snow Patrol also appeared as musical guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on April 19th and The Late Late Show With James Corden on April 24th and performed “Don’t Give In,” the first single from the album.

Snow Patrol has launched a Spotify playlister website where fans around the world can create their own playlist of Snow Patrol songs throughout the band’s catalogue and share these playlists with a friend. When sharing the playlist, the fan marks his/her location as well as the recipient’s location on a global map. Check it out and create your own playlist at http://playlist.snowpatrol.com
Since their 1998 debut, Songs for Polarbears, Snow Patrol has racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, five UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy, BRIT Award and Mercury Music Prize nominated. After their Fallen Empires tour ended in 2012, band members —which also include multi-instrumentalist Johnny McDaid, guitarist Nathan Connolly, bassist Paul Wilson, and drummer Jonny Quinn — decided to take a step back from the band, and focus on their own projects. Gary Lightbody continued his work with his Tired Pony side project with members of Belle and Sebastian, R.E.M, Reindeer Section and Fresh Young Fellows and moved to Los Angeles to begin writing songs for movies (including “This Is How You Walk On” for 2017’s Gifted), and doing a number of high-profile co-writes with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Biffy Clyro, and One Direction. Taking this extended break from Snow Patrol proved to be a source of inspiration, and writing songs that were not pulled directly from his own psyche helped heal what Lightbody considered to be not so much writer’s block as life block.
