Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is celebrating the return of the radical Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 – codenamed 103EX – to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood – the latest stop on a world tour for the marque’s revolutionary electric motor car.

Launched in 2016, this highly innovative car includes a fully electric drive train, completely autonomous drive and enhanced artificial intelligence. Wholly connected and entirely autonomous, it presents the marque’s uncompromised view of the future of luxury mobility.

Following its official unveiling at London’s Roundhouse, the car was briefly displayed at Goodwood before embarking on a global odyssey that has included appearances at customer and media events across the world.

103EX arrived at the Home of Rolls-Royce in its own bespoke transporter, accompanied by the specialist Experimental Vehicle Team who have maintained and prepared the vehicle throughout its long travels. And while the car’s return has been greeted with appropriate fanfare by the Goodwood workforce, its short journey into the showroom area was, naturally, completely soundless.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “We are delighted to welcome 103EX home to Goodwood. After almost four years on international duties, we felt it was time for the experimental model to return home. It is a chance for those who worked on the project to relive some great memories, and for people who have joined us more recently to discover one of the most important cars we have ever built.

“As our first fully autonomous electric vehicle, 103EX was a huge statement of intent. In its technical innovation, it showed unequivocally that Rolls-Royce regards electric power as the future of automotive propulsion. It also demonstrated our radical vision of effortless, autonomous, connected, spacious and beautiful luxury mobility, with each car as individual as the customer themselves.”

Rolls-Royce’s ‘Dine on the Line’

A major philanthropic event raised in excess of £1.7 million at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, on Saturday 21st September 2019. Rolls-Royce’s ‘Evelina Art for Allergy x Dine on the Line’ was held in support of allergy research by Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

The star of the show was undoubtedly a Phantom, a collaboration between Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and world-renowned artist Marc Quinn. The winning bidder of this headline lot is a valued collector of the marque. Marc Quinn will now create a bespoke artwork featuring the iris of the winning bidder’s daughter, using Rolls-Royce Phantom as his canvas. The highly personalised and creative work of art raised an auspicious £888k, with the generous patron excitedly bidding well over £1 million in total during the course of the evening. The artwork takes inspiration from Quinn’s on-going series of iris paintings, named We Share Our Chemistry with the Stars.

Torsten MüllerÖtvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, commented, “Rolls-Royce is deeply privileged to have worked with Evelina London on this exceptional event. We are thrilled that Marc Quinn’s artwork, using Phantom as the canvas, raised a fabulous £888,000 and are humbled that nearly £2million was raised in total throughout the evening for this centre of medical excellence in London.”

The auction, led by globally acknowledged art auctioneer Simon de Pury, saw art world cognoscenti and Rolls-Royce collectors bid at an unprecedented pace. The auctioneer extraordinaire likened the artwork to John Lennon’s Phantom V, describing it as “the 21st century equivalent” of the legendary psychedelic motor car. The audience agreed as the staggering amount continued to rise generating rapturous applause.

Other phenomenal auction lots attracted substantial bids. Works by some of the world’s most sought-after artists included works by British artists Jake & Dinos Chapman, David Yarrow, Harland Miller and Mary McCartney. Proceeds generated from the auction will be donated to Evelina London to fund vital allergy research.

The evening of art, automotive and culinary experiences began with a cocktail reception, where British artist Jonathan Huxley created a new artwork, live at the event. In addition, LA-based media artist Refik Anadol, commissioned for the Rolls-Royce Art Programme, treated guests to an exclusive preview of his new work entitled Art of Perfection: Data Painting. Anadol’s unique work of digital art used data sets relating to the colour of every Rolls-Royce motor car created at the Home of Rolls-Royce over the last ten years.

The evening included an exquisite and immersive dining experience, where guests enjoyed a menu carefully curated by world-renowned chef, Giorgio Locatelli.

Following the auction, singer-songwriter John Newman entertained guests, before DJ Fat Tony closed out an extraordinary evening of philanthropy.

The Rise of Mobile Slot Games

Slot games have held the attention of gamblers for decades. This is thanks to the exciting experience that they provide. Today, it has become possible to access these games anywhere and at any time. All thanks to the rise of the smartphone.

Mobile phones give you the chance to take your favourite games with you everywhere you go. Companies are now making new games in the form of apps. They have also been making changes to their websites with mobile users in mind. This has made Thor Slots mobile slot games more popular than ever.

The convenience of mobile slots

Convenience is one of the main reasons for this popularity. It has become easy to add funds using your mobile. This makes the whole process run a lot smoother and benefits the user.  Services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are also becoming more popular. This means that it’s simpler than ever to place a bet on the move. All it takes is the touch of a button for the money to be in your account and ready to go.

Also, mobile slot games are now very intuitive.  Gone are the run of the mill machines that you’d find in a casino. Today, games will make use of your phone’s touchscreen, meaning that they’ve never been simpler to play. This also means slots can include various features and mini-games.

Easy access to online slots

The increased availability of free Wi-Fi has also been an important factor. As has the increased speed and reliability of mobile data.  It’s no longer a struggle to access the internet when you’re not at home, so people are playing everywhere they go. Anytime they’re bored, they can load up their favourite slots and play to their heart’s content.

People who have never even set foot in a casino have been drawn to mobile slot games as a result of this convenience. At their core, these games are nothing but a fun way to pass the time. In that way, they’re just like any other smartphone app on the market. But they come with the added excitement of winning some real cash.

Some companies have even chosen to provide special bonuses to mobile users. This encourages them to use the platform.  Companies today are investing a lot of money to make sure their mobile games are as good as they can be. So, it makes sense that they’d provide users with some extra incentive to play.

In summary, the mobile platform provides users with some important benefits. Better games, improved convenience and the chance to win no matter where they are or what they’re doing. It is without a doubt the quickest and easiest way to enjoy your favourite slots.

It also makes it easier to discover new, mobile-exclusive games. These can provide features that traditional slots can’t offer and will entice users. All these factors benefit the players. So, as a result, they have flocked to mobile slot games. And just like everything mobile, they have only risen in popularity as time has gone on.

ANANYA JOINS FORCES WITH SEAN KINGSTON FOR ‘DAY GOES BY’

SPOTIFYAPPLE

WATCH VIDEO

Rising pop sensation Ananya Birla and multi-platinum Jamaican/American hitmaker Sean Kingston and have released their highly anticipated single “Day Goes By”, out now via Universal Music/Island Records.

The infectious anthem, which premiered on Billboard earlier this week, arrives with a magnetic video directed by Mike Ho (Chris Brown, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj) which sees Kingston’s trademark reggae-R’n’B fusion blend perfectly with Ananya’s unmistakeable pop vocals as the duo trade verses on seduction and infatuation.

Kingston first took the world by storm with his debut single “Beautiful Girls” back in 2009. He linked up with Ananya, the only homegrown artist to go platinum singing in English in India, when they shared the stage for his 2018 worldwide tour. Their mutual artistic admiration led them to the studio in LA for their first creative collaboration.

Co-written by Sean and Ananya and self-produced, “Day Goes By” marks one of the first major pop collaborations between a US and Indian artist.

Kingston, whose forthcoming album, “Made In Jamaica, is set to feature Chris Brown, Tinashe and Justin Bieber, said: “It was so beautiful and easy to work with Ananya. We linked up in India and she played me a few of her records and Immediately I knew our sound together would be dope!!”

Speaking about how the single came about, Ananya added “Day Goes By is for anyone who’s lost their mind in love… It’s been brewing for a little while now: Sean and I knew we wanted to make something that captures that intoxicating feeling, and also make it super fun – something that people could dance to. When we got into the studio it all came together so quickly and organically. Sean’s an amazing collaborator and there was always such a positive vibe. I’m so excited to share it with the world!”

It has been a big year for both artists. Kingston just finished a sell-out 17 show world tour and released his latest track “Peace of Mind” in April. Ananya, who has racked up nearly 200 million streams since signing with Universal in 2016 and was recently named as one of GQ’s most influential Young Indians, dropped her debut EP “Fingerprint”in May which included the hit single “Blackout” feat Vector and WurlD. This month, she opened for Wiz Khalifa on his India tour.

BANE HAUNTED HOUSE

By Vaughn Lowery

Face your fears head on. Bane Haunted House holds no prisoners. Dark and carnivorous entities grab, push and scream at you. It’s like being in an insane asylum pumped with a ton of MEDs while trying to sail through a tormented maze. Every step of this 3-level 40,000 square foot former nightclub (Pacha NYC) will have you literally shitting in your pants or better yet pleading, “Mercy!”

Some of our team members couldn’t keep themselves together long enough to make it through while others managed to make it out alive. Many were unscathed, but be prepared to get soiled as you will have to crawl, kneel and push through some obstructions. You may even be spun around a few times – a sneakerhead’s nightmare. Moreover, we’ve been to some relatively challenging ‘horror nights’ like Universal Studios but this will have you piss in your pants while sweating your balls off. Of course, some tours of the house can be with 2 or 3 people; however, on our journey it was barely one per party.

In short, even if you’ve ever skydived out of a plane at 10,000 feet in South Africa and/or zip lined in Costa Rica at 1000 feet above ground while travelling 35 to 55mph, this meticulously designed space will still frighten the bejesus out of you. Last year Bane Haunted House had approximately 30,000 people attend while they were nestled in their New Jersey location. This year they expect door attendance to double with their newly appointed West Side Highway position.

Anyone whom has binge watched Jason and Freddy should drop by. No excuses.

Steps to Take Following a Car Accident

Car travel has become so commonplace in everyday life that it is easy to take peaceful car rides for granted and ignore the potential hazards cars create. No one wants to imagine being involved in a car accident. If you’re in need of representation in Georgia, contact a car accident attorney in Cumming. But in the unfortunate event you ever are in an accident, you should always remember to take these steps to ensure any claims you may want to make against whomever caused the accident are preserved:

Do Your Best to Remain Calm

Yes, this one is much more easily said than done. Your heart is probably racing. You are probably upset or angry with the person who caused the accident, and you may be in physical pain. Even so, you must do everything you can to keep your cool if you want the accident and, down the line, your claim against whomever is responsible, to be handled properly.

Check to See If Anyone in Your Car—Including You—Is or May Be Injured

Car accidents can lead to all types of injuries. Some are minor, some are of life-altering severity and some are so catastrophic they can lead to death. You may not realize you are injured until hours, days or even weeks after an accident. Once the dust has settled, check yourself for any signs of injury, such as scrapes, scratches, skin discoloration, bumps anywhere on your body, blood or anything else that feels or appears abnormal. If you are physically able to do so, you should call the police. If you need emergency medical treatment, tell the operator to send an ambulance to the scene. You should also begin taking pictures of your car and of any injuries you believe you sustained.

If You Feel Up to It, See If Anyone Outside Your Car Is Injured

If you feel you can exit your car without risking any further injury to yourself or anyone else, check on the driver and any passengers in all other vehicles involved. They will likely appreciate your concern, and this will give you an opportunity to assess their physical and mental state in the moment if they claim any injuries later. When you check on them, exchange car insurance information with all the other drivers involved in the accident and talk to anyone who witnessed the accident.

Call the Police and Talk to the Responding Police Personnel When They Arrive

Calling the police is essential. When they arrive, they will take statements from all the drivers and witnesses, record each driver’s insurance information, make note of any citations being issued, issue citations and write a comprehensive report. It is important to make sure the responding police personnel get as much information about the accident as possible to determine who caused it and what penalty will be assessed to whomever is responsible. They will also likely ask if you need emergency medical care. If you do want medical attention, they will call an ambulance staffed with emergency medical technicians to the scene. Just to be on the safe side, you should let medical personnel examine you.

Take Pictures of Everything—Yes, Everything

You should take as many pictures of the cars and people involved in the accident as you can. These pictures will be extremely valuable as evidence of the accident’s severity and as evidence of any injuries you sustained. Without this type of evidence, even the best personal injury lawyer will be starting off at a disadvantage in proving your case. Taking pictures of the scene can be beneficial, too, to provide context when you describe the accident later.

Go to the Emergency Room, Even If Only As a Precautionary Measure

Even if you are not in pain and you do not feel any different than normal, you should go to the emergency room to be examined. Deciding you feel fine at the scene, declining treatment and then realizing you need to be treated after the fact is the last thing you want. Beyond the inconvenience of then having to get to the emergency room or an urgent-care facility on your own, there is a chance your injuries will have worsened in the time since the accident.

Contact an Experienced Car Accident Attorney

You want someone with experience in the courtroom and someone who knows how to recover the money clients are owed. When you select an attorney, you should choose the Los Angeles car accident attorney who will be your most effective advocate both in court and in negotiating with insurance companies. Contact West Coast Trial Lawyers for additional information about how to select the best personal injury lawyer.

File Your Insurance Claims

This is where getting insurance information from any other drivers involved in the accident will pay off. If you do not have their information, you cannot file a claim for damages with their car insurance company and recover for your injuries. An experienced car accident attorney will be able to guide you through the claim process. Without this information, even the best personal injury attorney will have difficulty collecting your damages from the at-fault person or persons.

Be Diligent with Respect to Continuing Medical Treatment for Your Injuries

Listen to your doctors. Attend your follow-up appointments with them. They will discharge you from their care when they believe you are well enough to do without it. Do not try to manage your own care. Your doctors have your best interest in mind and will treat you until you have reached maximum medical improvement.

Take Your Car Accident Attorney’s Advice

The process of recovering damages from at-fault drivers after an accident seems daunting. When an experienced Los Angeles accident attorney is representing you, you will have peace of mind in knowing your attorney has a thorough understanding of the judicial system and knows how to handle your claim. The ability to receive thoughtful advice from a seasoned professional is one of the biggest advantages of having an accident attorney to represent you. Trust your attorney’s judgment and listen to the advice your attorney provides. In the end, when your claim is resolved, you will be happy you did.
