Lastly, a distinguished member of the Alpha Phi Alphi Fraternity, Incorporated (Alpha Chapter).

‘The Mannequin Challenge soundtrack continues to break barriers.’Vaughn Lowery

Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd has officially joined music’s most elite club: the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded their viral smash hit Black Beatles featuring Gucci Mane a Diamond certification, signifying over 10 million units sold in the United States.

Originally released in 2016 and featured on their second studio album SremmLife 2 via Eardrummer Records/Interscope Records, “Black Beatles” not only topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks but also became the soundtrack to the global #MannequinChallenge phenomenon, cementing its place in cultural and internet history. Now, nearly a decade later, it has achieved one of music’s highest honors.

This milestone is just one of several for the Mississippi-born brothers, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, who continue to leave an indelible mark on the music industry. In addition to the Diamond certification for “Black Beatles,” Rae Sremmurd has several big hits that are also RIAA-certified including: “No Type” (7× Platinum), “Come Get Her” (5× Platinum), “This Could Be Us” (4× Platinum), “Throw Sum Mo” (3× Platinum) “No Flex Zone” (3× Platinum), “My X” (Gold), “Up Like Trump” (Gold).

The rap heavyweights’ albums have left their mark on the music landscape. The duo’s first two projects, 2015’s SremmLife and the following year’s SremmLife 2, were each certified Platinum. Their third effort, SR3MM, from 2018, was groundbreaking in its own way, a triple-disc set that allowed each brother to have his own LP’s worth of space to work solo before joining forces again. It featured the 3x platinum-selling single “Powerglide” and the platinum-selling single “Guatemala.” The album also included guest appearances by Juicy J, Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell, The Weeknd, and more.

Sremmurd’s fourth studio album SREMM 4 LIFE was released in 2023 and peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart while also landing on Rolling Stone’s The 100 Best Albums of 2023 list at No. 95.

COINBASE CELEBRATES PARTNERSHIP WITH ASTON MARTIN ARAMCO FORMULA ONE™ TEAM  AND DEBUTS A GIANT F1 INSPIRED HELMET IN LONDON AHEAD OF BRITISH GRAND PRIX WEEKEND

Coinbase is celebrating its partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team by taking to the streets of London with a larger-than-life installation – a giant Coinbase race helmet  that will tour London by crane lorry before arriving at Covent Garden on July 3rd for the public to interact with ahead of the British Grand Prix weekend.

The activation marks Coinbase’s continued support for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™team.. The larger-than-life helmet, nearly 10-feet tall, and painted Coinbase electric blue, will be driven through iconic parts of the city, before arriving at Covent Garden .

The activation is part of a multi-day experience curated by Coinbase to bring fans closer to the world of Formula 1 ® while celebrating the power of community, technology, and the future of finance.

As part of the experience, the helmet will be on public display in Covent Garden on 3 July from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Fans will have the opportunity to see the installation up close and explore an exclusive Coinbase x Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team merchandise collection featuring limited-edition long sleeve shirts, racing caps, jumpsuits, embroidered patches, enamel pins, and collectible sticker packs. Coinbase’s campaign will also include an OOH takeover of the BFI IMAX at Waterloo Station, Europe’s largest OOH canvas, capping Coinbase’ creative takeover of London.

Hailed upon release by Rolling Stone as “the best thing to come out of St. Louis since Redd Foxx,” by NME as the “album of the year so far,” and by People, who proclaimed that Nelly “marked his hometown of St. Louis as a major contender,” Country Grammar debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 and soon vaulted to No. 1. Summer allure, strictly Italian aesthetics, and a sense of lightness. The new Men’s Spring/Summer 2026 Collection speaks of a completely personal and authentic approach to style and of a wardrobe with a versatile soul, perfectly suited for everyday life.

The protagonist of the collection is the pyjama, which thanks to surprising combinations with unexpected aesthetic harmony, becomes casual, cosmopolitan, but also chic and elegant.

Part of the brand’s DNA brought to the runway in the 90’s, the pyjama is presented here in its classic, exquisitely Italian interpretation, in lightweight cotton jacquard with vertical stripes.

Swedish 27-year-old, born and raised in Gothenburg, indie recording artist Gabriella ‘Gabi’ Goldman, is positioned to become the secular R&B act of her generation.

After taking vocal lessons from a coach for a decade or so, Goldman realized that she had a talent that she needed to share with the world. Her voice reminds me of powerhouses SZA and Raye.

On May 30, Goldman, a Brilliant Minds nominee, just released her last single, Nostalgia, which was written by herself and James Newman and produced by Stuart Crichton, from her debut EP For Myself, which was released on Redvolution Music. Memorable moments in her life are woven together melodiously. She taps into her cerebral to explore issues related to mental health and self-awareness. The newly launched heart-wrenching yet spellbinding track paints a dismal picture of someone trying to release the loss of love. Daily drunk texting intermixed with massive amounts of uncertainty about what the future holds on a relationship front. The singer-songwriter effortlessly executed the lyrics with extreme vulnerability while showcasing her sultry, soulful vocal acrobatics. Dive deeper into her soundtrack. Professionally packaged, she is an ingenue with a credible acting resume and an insatiable desire to entertain. GABI GOLDMAN Q+A

Have you faced any difficulties as an independent recording artist with their own label? Can you share a few of your most memorable moments during your journey? Any major accomplishments or losses?

That’s not an easy question to answer. It’s really tough, I’m not gonna lie. I began at a young age. At 16, my manager at the time started arranging meetings and sessions in Stockholm during the weekends (i’m from gothenburg), and later on trips to LA, meeting record labels, A&Rs etc. I never in a million years thought I’d go independent after that, but that was the natural result after that experience. I’m beyond grateful for that, not only for learning and doing it myself but also for the knowledge I now possess. I’ve cried myself to sleep endless nights, feeling panicked and alone, but then I’m just as happy when I get booked for huge shows and events and get the attention and recognition I always longed for. It is true that it goes both ways. I’m proud. 

What is your goal with this cinematic body of work now that your debut EP For Myself has been completed with Nostalgia? Tour? Do you have any plans to shoot a video? Have any songs been used in films or TV shows?

Yes, my visual team and I did a project alongside my EP. We created one-minute clips for every song, which tells a story throughout the whole EP. I have not yet posted the last clip for Nostalgia, I am still holding onto that one for a little longer. A teaser can be found on my Instagram here.

If you had the chance to collaborate with any artist in the world, who would you choose and why?

I think I and 070 Shake could do something cool. Or the weekend, KWN even. I love Raye, but we might be too close in sound. If Amy Winehouse was alive, she would be HER! I apologize for my ADHD… This one was too challenging.

Brilliant Minds nominated you, and you became a finalist for Brilliant Sounds. Can you remember where you were or what you were doing when you were informed of this honor? What was your initial reaction to this? Who was the initial person you contacted?

Yes, it’s funny you asked. During the day of the job, I was in the bathroom at my sales advisory job and felt extremely glamorous! I couldn’t call anyone, but I was jumping up and down while texting my family in our group chat. Don’t give up your day job 😉

Would you like to share anything we haven’t discussed? What advice do you have for aspiring artists? Community involvement? Do you have any current causes or organizations that you’re donating your name or likeness to?

Don’t be too hard on yourself (I tell myself that every day). Don’t be what people expect you to be. Don’t listen to people telling you that you’re too much, too little, or too everywhere. You’re you, and that’s okay. Life is too short. Do what you want, someone will understand and believe in it.

Whitney Houston Achieves 11 New RIAA Certifications

The estate of Whitney E. Houston announces eleven new certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

During her historic 40th anniversary in music and entertainment, Houston is the first African American Recording Artist to have three RIAA Diamond-Certified Albums.

The Estate of Whitney E. Houston today announces the eleven new certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) of the global icon Whitney Houston. This year marks the historic 40th Anniversary of Houston’s career in music and entertainment (February 14, 2025 through February 14, 2026).

In the era of digital streaming, Whitney Houston still remains on top with record-breaking sales from her Arista Records music recordings, including her combined physical sales, digital downloads, and on demand audio and video streams. Houston’s eleven new U.S. RIAA certifications include one album, The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album (19x Platinum) and ten of her biggest and most iconic songs: “I Will Always Love You,” (11x Platinum); “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” (8x Platinum); “I Have Nothing” (4x Platinum); “Higher Love” with Kygo [released on Kygo/RCA Records] and “How Will I Know” (each song is 3x Platinum); “Heartbreak Hotel,” “My Love Is Your Love” and “Saving All My Love” (each song is 2x Platinum); and “Run To You” and “Count On Me” (each song is Platinum).

Additionally, Houston is the first African American artist to have three RIAA Diamond-certified albums (10x Platinum for each album) including her self-titled debut album, Whitney Houston; her second studio album, Whitney, and The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album.

These new RIAA certifications only include the U.S. numbers and do not include certifications from the 195 countries worldwide. In the U.S. alone, Houston’s RIAA certified units total 114.5 million across 38 titles (27 singles plus 11 albums).
