Outdoors for Father’s Day

5 Reasons to Get Dad Outdoors More This Father’s Day

The Fishing Caddy, the world’s first all-in-one fishing system, helps make it more enjoyable for dads to enjoy the outdoors

If asked, most dads would say they would love to spend more time outdoors. Yet there are many things that keep them from being able to. Whether it’s the time they are spending at work, things that have to be done around the house, or life that gets in the way, they often don’t get as much time enjoying the great outdoors as they would like to. This Father’s Day, make it a point to help Dad get more time outside. Doing so comes with a host of benefits.

“One of the great things about The Fishing Caddy is that it helps make getting outside to fish easier,” explains Joe Pippins, creator and founder of The Fishing Caddy. “Whatever we can do to help people get outside and enjoy being in nature, the better off everyone will be. There are a lot of benefits to spending time in nature.”

Due to the pandemic, many people are changing how they entertain, and the types of activities they get involved in. Fishing makes for a good option, because it’s affordable and helps you naturally practice social distancing. By getting dads outside more this Father’s Day and all summer long, they will experience numerous benefits. There are many research studies that demonstrate the variety of benefits that people obtain from spending time in nature, even if it’s for short amounts of time.

Here are five reasons to get Dad outdoors more this summer:

  1. Reduce stress. A study published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports that there is growing evidence that exposure to natural environments can be associated with mental health benefits. It also reports that spending time outdoors can help with reducing stress and combating depression and anxiety.
  2. Boost memory and cognition. In another study in the same journal, researchers conducted an experiment with over 500 people and found that spending time out in nature improved cognitive performance. Essentially, spending time outdoors helps to clear the mind and help people think better.
  3. Increase happiness. When dad gets to spend more time outdoors, he will end up feeling happier. Research shows that spending time outside improves mood, which is something the whole family can benefit from.
  4. Improve health. A study published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that time spent outdoors increases physical activity, which helps to reduce the risk of chronic health conditions. By spending some time out in nature, families can help Dad to get healthier.
  5. Change it up. Over the last year, people have spent far too much time indoors. The pandemic had people changing their routines and often staying indoors. It’s time to get Dad outside for a while. A change of scenery will do everyone good.

“Just about anyone who spends time outdoors and especially fishing can attest to the fact that it helps you in many ways,” added Pippins. “Fishing gives you a way to relax, connect with nature, reduce stress, and just enjoy the moment. Our goal with The Fishing Caddy is to help families make it easier to get Dad outside this Father’s Day. He will thank you!”

Often times, people don’t know what to buy dad for Father’s Day. Rather than spend time trying to figure it out and running around getting items in different stores, The Fishing Caddy makes gift giving simple. It comes with everything dad needs to get fishing, including:

  • 1 padded swivel seat (place to sit comfortably)
  • 2 built-in rod holders (place to put his rods safely)
  • 2 ultra-bright LED lights for tying knots and revisiting at night
  • 1 XL Beverage Holder

It’s everything dad will need to relax, catch fish, and enjoy a peaceful day of family time with his loved ones. Mothers, wives and female family members are the catalyst to finding unique gifts that bring families together, and that’s what will happen when you get him The Fishing Caddy.

Those looking for a great Father’s Day activity this year may want to consider planning a special day outdoors for Dad. Pack a picnic lunch and find a spot near a lake or on a boat, where Dad can enjoy the time outdoors. Surprise him with The Fishing Caddy to top the experience off. This will motivate him to get outside more all summer long. The Fishing Caddy makes a great gift because it will help ensure that fishing trips are less stressful and will be enjoyed more because it’s been designed for organization and to improve the anglers’ experience.

The Fishing Caddy is an all-in-one system that people can easily take with them to go fishing. The system has been designed to help ensure that fishing trips are stress-free, simple, and easy to do. This increases the enjoyment level and makes people want to go more often. The product can be found online, as well as in over 3,800 locations of its newest partners, Walmart and Do It Best hardware stores. It was voted Top Made in the USA Outdoor Gift of 2017, beating out larger competition due to its novelty and modern design. The Fishing Caddy also comes with a two-year warranty.

The Fishing Caddy, which ranges in price from $69.95 to $129, was expertly designed for all types of fishing, and can be used by anglers of all ages. The caddy also comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee. The organization system gives people everything they need for a great fishing experience. The fishing system has been designed to help make fishing more enjoyable, and give people more time to fish, rather than track down and organize their tackle and supplies. To see a video of The Fishing Caddy benefits, visit: The Fishing Caddy on YouTube.

The Fishing Caddy is trusted by many large retailers and consistently earns a 5-star review from those who have tried it out. It can be found online, as well as at  Walmart, Do it Best, Ace Hardware, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, and Scheels locations, and at the company website.

Wonderworks New Exhibit Good Vibrations

Good Vibrations – WonderWorks Orlando New Exhibit on Earthquakes Named by Teachers during Teacher Appreciation Month

WonderWorks Orlando has an array of exhibits that help educate people about science. And it’s latest exhibit on earthquakes called Good Vibrations, opens May 28th. Good Vibrations will spotlight Tuckaleechee Caverns, and how they document seismic activity around the world. The new exhibit was a topic request from educators, so it seemed appropriate that they also name the exhibit.  Teachers are invited to see this exhibit for free during WonderWorks Teacher Appreciation Month celebration.

This is a fascinating new exhibit about earthquakes and all types of tectonic movement around the globe, says Brian Wayne, general manager of WonderWorks Orlando. It’s a great time for teachers to stop in and check it out and enjoy some time exploring all we have to offer.

The Tuckaleechee Caverns are located deep under the Smoky Mountains, in Townsend, Tenn. People can visit the caverns, but they also play an important role in the safety of our country. They have the most sensitive seismic station on Earth, accurately and precisely tracking tectonic movement all around the planet. The information collected includes activity from earthquakes and even when nuclear weapons are being tested.

Once the information is collected, it is quickly transmitted directly to the Department of Defense; Geneva, Switzerland; and Vienna, Austria. The information is obtained and shared so quickly that it’s passed on within 300ths of a millisecond. Visitors will learn about the important natural wonder that gathers so much information around the world.

Good Vibrations meets educational standards for learning about earthquakes and seismic activity. As a way to celebrate teachers and support staff during Teacher Appreciation Month, both teachers and support staff will receive free admission during May 2021 by showing a valid school ID. Additionally, up to four of their accompanying guests will receive 50% off admission.

“We are excited to invite teachers, support staff, and their families this month, as well as others, to check out the new Earthquake exhibit,” added Wayne. “This exhibit will surprise you and make you want to plan a trip to the Tuckaleechee Caverns.”

Additional on-site and community programs include the WonderWorks WonderKids event, virtual learning labs, FLO-Art Florida Youth Art Gallery, science fair partnerships, online science information and worksheets and a homeschool program. WonderWorks Orlando also offers various STEM activities, including virtual learning labs, on-site exhibits, activities and more. To learn more about the programs offered at WonderWorks Orlando, visit their website.

To get additional information about Teacher Appreciation Month, visit the site here.

Due to the continued county-wide mask restriction in Orlando, guests will need to bring one with them or buy one upon arrival. WonderWorks has COVID-19 safety protocols, including reduced capacity and hours, enhanced cleaning efforts, social distancing measures, hand sanitizer stations, employee health screenings and employee personal protective equipment (PPE). Guests are encouraged to review all safety rules before their visit on the web page devoted to COVID-19 here

5 Popular Activities during Lunch Break

Spending lunch breaks in the best possible way could be one of the best things one could do for his or her body. Although this could be challenging as it’s time for eating but it is important to shape those feeding habits. Some of the common activities include funny traits like eating whirl typing during lunch breaks and so on.

The major – have a lunch

The real definition of the word lunch-break in the diet if I may say. This is an exclusive time where you are supposed to re-energize your body so as to be able to handle the remaining part of the day with ease.

Most people go by the word at this time and do a favor to their bodies by going for lunch, most people go to favorite places where they will get served with the foodstuff of assorted varieties. It is advised that at this time you get your meal and relax a bit before continuing with daily chores.

Get in touch with your friends

This one of the best times to catch up with most of your old friends who you might have missed for some long period of time. Meeting such people will keep reminding you of the small duties you might have left on the way and it shall be high time to talk of the same. These will remind you of accomplishing such missions which are positive to your side.

Have a rest-watch your favorite blog

It is also a good time for you to take a rest after lunch of course. Then it is equally important for you to keep a keen eye on your social activities including what you do on the internet. At this time, it is recommended that you spend your time effectively and one way of doing this is by going through your blog posts.

You may update a post or even go through a few of your past postings to see how people responded to that and so on. This will help you to keep a good track of your blog posting.

Try your luck and spin some slots

In other words, gambling could as well utilize your lunch break well. You can land on any reputable casino and register to start enjoying this nice gambling feeling. Slots are the best in this short period of time and could earn you some cash even at casinos with 5 dollars deposits in a short period of time. You may land huge prizes here like a number of cash prizes and free spins.

All these come together with numerous promotions and tournaments which can make the experience more than what you had previously expected.

Be healthy and go for a walk

You may decide to add extra years to what you have by simply having a free walk as part of your exercise to enhance your health status. The lunch hour break could be utilized in a way you might decide to go for a nature walk and so you will be keeping your body fit. This also keeps your brains fresh and energetic to handle the remaining part of the day with ease. You can also try to check some entertainment in Wellington or in any other city.

Constant exercises keep our bloodstream flowing hence allowing sufficient exchange of oxygen in the blood, this gives us extra energy to work and remain in good health condition. By the time you resume your duty, you will be set to work as the time you have spent walking must-have in a way or the other freed up most of the issues you could be having in mind

Conclusion

Lunch breaks could be spent in the best productive ways as discussed above to achieve good health standards. All these could have a positive effect on anyone practicing it at a time. Our health is more important than anything and so our bodies require the best we can offer.

NYBG Autumnal Celebrations

For New Yorkers and visitors alike, the grandeur of the fall season is just 20 minutes from midtown Manhattan and The New York Botanical Garden. NYBG is the perfect place to experience the splendor of fall with the Great Pumpkin Path, scarecrow decorations, and awe-inspiring Japanese chrysanthemums in breath-taking shapes and styles in and around the Conservatory. Explore the seasonal bounty of the Edible Academy, which is also reopening just in time for fall, and traverse the winding trails of the 50-acre, old-growth Thain Family Forest to view the changing colors and textures of autumn in the weeks ahead.

Hordes of gourds await discovery along the twists and turns of NYBG’s Great Pumpkin Path all month long. In particular, on October 24th, giant pumpkins that are some of the largest in the world arrive and will be on view through the first of November. These humongous pumpkins, some weighing more than 2,000 pounds, have been nurtured from seed by doting growers and brought to the Garden in collaboration with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth.

Another highlight at NYBG are the displays spotlighting kiku in and around the Conservatory and Visitor Center. Highly skilled NYBG horticulturists spent 11 months growing and caring for these chrysanthemums (kiku in Japanese) that were cultivated from single cuttings, pinched back, and tied to frames. Flower buds develop as nights grow longer, and in fall, the plants burst into bloom in modern and ancient styles such as ogiku (single stem), kengai (cascade), and ozukuri (thousand bloom). For guests who can’t make it to the gardens in person, New York Botanical Gardens offers a virtual look into the changing hues with the NYBG Fall Color Cam.

New York Botanical Gardens offer perfectly festive and COVID-friendly activities and protocols. The new, limited timed-entry ticketing system staggers visitors’ arrivals, promotes social distancing, and mitigates the risk of crowding in high-traffic areas. In addition, advance purchase of timed tickets is required to ensure the safety of guests. On top of these changes, new measures include requiring staff and visitors to wear masks, increasing sanitization of public and staff areas, and daily health screenings for on-site staff.

Enjoy the beauties that fall has to offer while staying safe and healthy with NYBG today! Check out their available tickets here and prepare a lovely and colorful trip to the beautiful gardens.

Saudi Summer

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has unveiled a new campaign, called Saudi Summer, to encourage residents to explore the Kingdom this year, in lieu of a holiday abroad, following the lifting of lockdown restrictions due to Covid-19.

The campaign launch follows extensive research* by STA, revealing that 57 percent of Saudi residents are concerned about travelling on holiday by plane, but 85 percent are still planning to take a break of around ten days this year. 78 percent expressed curiosity in exploring their country.

“Saudi Summer comes as a wonderful opportunity to discover multiple tourist destinations in KSA, alongside its historical, natural and cultural treasures. The campaign also contributes to enhancing efforts by the Ministry of Tourism to revive the tourism sector, which was most affected by the repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis,” said His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the STA.

Starting from 25 June and running until 30 September 2020, the Saudi Summer campaign is promoting ten locations across the nation. The ten areas are: Jeddah and KAEC; Abha; Tabuk; Khobar, Dammam and Ahsa; Al Baha; Al Taif; Yanbu and Umluj; and Riyadh.

Together, these locations offer fertile valleys, quiet beaches, dense forests, cool climates, mountain peaks, buzzing cities, historic villages and more. Travelers are encouraged to visit multiple destinations to take advantage of the different packages and activities available, from sea trips and diving, to museum visits and hiking.

“The tourism sector resumes its activities with a renewed spirit and great hopes for moving forward at an accelerated pace, to achieve our aspirations in harmony with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to pursue economic diversification, attract investments, increase revenues and create job opportunities for citizens,” said H.E. Ahmed Al Khateeb.

Saudi Summer is led by the STA in close collaboration with the private sector. The STA’s main role is to position the Kingdom as one of the leading tourism destinations in the world, by developing its tourism product and promoting it on a global scale.

Highlights include an art tour and talk with New York City Writing Project; a step tutorial with the Panthers Step Team from Bard High School Early College; collage and printmaking with El Museo del Barrio; ‘NamaShakespeare’ yoga with Titan Theatre Company; digital zine-making and an exploration of the impact of COVID-19 on incarcerated youth with Art and Resistance Through Education (ARTE); Poetry writing with Urban Word NYC; a fashion party with The Studio Museum in Harlem; and The Met will have a variety of art-making activities including flower crowns and tote bag DIY, ‘Teens Meme The Met’ activity and the Museum’s popular “Balcony Bar at Home,” with the quartet ETHEL, will feature teen musicians.
