Reebok Drops PREDATOR-Inspired DMX Shoe

Celebrating the latest installment in the Predator film franchise, Reebok has partnered with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products to produce a meticulously detailed cinematic collectible.

The DMX RUN 10 is a battle-hardened veteran in Reebok’s platoon of iconic sneaker models. For this particular mission, the dynamic DMX design was equipped with a shimmering lenticular camouflage material that mimics the Predator’s invisibility cloak as it rampages through the jungle.

Reebok’s classic Vector logo peers out from the top of the tongues like alien eyes piercing the night, while the yellow mesh gusset is an abstract nod to the Predator’s non-combat attire. The inner tongues feature ‘over here’ and ‘turn around’ printed in the creature’s native language. Inscribed with military coordinates in handwritten red ink, the transparent midsole overlays are another crisp nod to covert operations.

Eerie iridescent soles conceal more than just Reebok’s patented DMX tech. Black out the lights to witness glow-in-the-dark graphics inspired by the film’s finale when water short-circuits the Predator’s operating system. A ghoulish ‘spine trophy’ souvenir hangs from the laces as a tribute to theoriginal Predator film from 1987.

The custom packaging is also rich in designer detailing. Heatmap overlays imitate the Predator’s thermal-imaging vision, while the box itself is booby-trapped with hidden messages that will appeal to sci-fi boffins and diehard fans alike.

The 20th Century Fox x Reebok DMX RUN 10 is priced at $200 and will be released September 14th at extrabutter.com, reebok.com and Reebok Certified Network retailers worldwide.

The Reebok sneaker coincides with the September 14th opening of The Predator.

Klingande x Exchange LA

By Krishan Narsinghani

360 Magazine had the opportunity in joining Exchange LA for their Labor Day Weekend bash featuring DJ Klingande. The 25,000 square feet venue includes three separate floors and a vegas-style club atmosphere. In VIP, a top floor overlooks the stage with lounges and private bars. The club boasts a younger diverse demographic that celebrates all guests on their evening out.

Klingande, known as Cédric Steinmylle, is a French tropical house DJ known for his melodic uplifting sound. Klingande incorporates Swedish lyrics into his music as well as his stage name, that translates to “chiming” or “to sound”. The DJ took over the night with originals and crowd favorites, shifting from deep house to EDM. The 360 team personally enjoyed watching the live saxophone player who gave each song a funky twist.

With confetti falling from the sky, the evening ended at 2:00am. Klingande is a showstopper breaking the surface of the house music world.

2018 Camaro 2 SS

By Anthony Sovinsky + Vaughn Lowery

The 2018 Camaro 2 SS defines the modern day muscle car. It thrusts power with a new focus on aerodynamics and handling. Its overstated presence remains true, but with enhanced design features – it has the auto world watching.

The vehicle features the 1LE track package finished in a silver ice metallic coating with a prominent front grille ending at a point. It sports a sleek black mesh grille and vents that are strategically positioned on the hood to enhance the breathing and cooling mechanisms. The stance is wide and athletic, thanks to the 20” forged aluminum wheels, in combination with aggressive sized fenders for increased handling capabilities.

Let’s take our attention to the rear of the vehicle. The taillights are streamlined to accent the masculine contours and racing additions. This includes a black finished spoiler and chrome polished quad pipes that sing the sweet melody of a manually shifted 6.2 liter V8 putting down 455HP to the crank.

As of late, 360 MAGAZINE had the opportunity to pilot the Chevy on a variety of escapades around Los Angeles county. To begin, the team traveled to the first annual Brunch Life Festival in Long Beach. The fest featured a variety of different restaurants from Long Beach, Orange County and LA serving anything from gourmet burgers to delectable desserts.

At Sneaker Con LA held in Anaheim, 360 had the pleasure of interviewing the design manager for Global Chevrolet Color and Trim, Brett Goliff. Sneaker Con was the perfect location to meet Brett as his love for sneakers and street wear is unparalleled – a passion that has blossomed since 1993. Before his career at Chevrolet, Brett worked as a shoe designer for New Balance. His design philosophy is simple. “Form follows function,” said Golliff. “Successful design is nothing without a purpose and reason for being. It should always be routed in function. Once you have the function you are solving for, make it look beautiful.”

Before his current role, Golliff focused on Chevrolet performance vehicles. His most recent work can be seen on the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro and seventh-generation Corvette, including the new 2019 Corvette ZR1, the most capable Corvette made to this date.

Driving a manual car in traffic can be frustrating, however the Camaro’s smooth clutch and short shifter made the repetitive shifting in stop-and-go traffic a breeze. In addition, it is more spacious than a coupe, as a group of four can fit with ease. The versatility to function as both a pure sports vehicle and luxury vehicle make the Camaro an ideal commuter car.

The Camaro 2SS’s 1LE track package will cost an additional $7,000USD. It highlights a variety of performance additions, including magnetic ride control, beefed up 20” wheels (Summer tires only), Recaro performance front bucket seats, electronic limited slip differential, dual mode performance exhaust, suede finished flat bottom sport steering wheel and shift knob, satin black blade spoil, satin black hood wrap, satin black front splitter and Brembo performance brakes with red calipers – talk abut bang for your buck.

With no access to a track, the trip shifted to a driving hotspot, Mulholland drive – a road which can expose the inadequacy in handling with some of the most elite vehicles in production. When put to the test, the beauty performed as intended, handling narrow twists and turns of the canyon with grace. Thanks to magnetic ride control, body roll is virtually absent staying extremely flat in back-to-back turns almost as if it was riding on rails – a feeling usually experienced in its European counterpart. Moreover, with the rev matching feature activated, the 6.2L V8 will keep power consistent when down shifting heading into a turn that provides more acceleration and traction while exiting. This is a neat feature for those who have not yet learned the intricacies of a manually shifted vehicle, making it enjoyable for even the novice enthusiast.

The interior is simple, allowing the driver to focus on what really matters – the road. It features a Chevrolet Mylink audio system with navigation ($495USD) on an 8-inch diagonal touch screen that is also compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Drive. Furthermore, one can opt for the performance data and video recorder ($1300USD) that can record several metrics and provide feedback on the driver’s performance.

Valued at $42,000USD for the base model and an additional $7,000USD for the 1LE track package plus extra features available upon request, the total comes to a modest $51,790USD for a full blown track super star. The noteworthy 2018 Camaro is a steal for anyone looking to acquire an entry level sport vehicle.

Madison Ryann Ward Shares Video For “Mirror”

Today, rising vocalist and songwriter Madison Ryann Ward shares the video for her debut single “Mirror”—watch and share HERERefinery29 praises the video saying, “The powerful visuals of the music video match Ward’s soulful, smooth vocals.”

“Mirror” was released earlier this spring after Ward was featured recording the track with producer Rick Rubin in his Malibu studio on Jay-Z’s episode of the hit Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman. When Letterman asks Ward about her objective in making music, she replies, “Just to be honest. And to move people in a way that they’ve never been moved before.”

Inspired by artists from many different genres, Madison Ryann Ward combines bluesy, soulful melodies with folk, rap and gospel influenced lyricism to create a classic sound that remains all her own. Having grown up in a creative family in Oklahoma, Ward was exposed to music at a young age, which would come to inform her distinct style. Gospel hymnal songs were her first experience with music as she listened to her mother play piano in the church choir until age eight. When she was twelve, her father opened a BBQ and blues joint where she spent her teenage summers waiting tables while the likes of Billie Holiday, Etta James and Bessie Smith bumped through the restaurant speakers.

However, music was not always the path Ward had in mind. Having played sports all her life, excelling in volleyball, basketball, golf and track, she decided to play collegiate volleyball at Oklahoma University and planned to play professionally overseas after graduation. But when a group of athletes heard her singing Aretha Franklin’s “Chain Of Fools” in the cafeteria and posted a clip on Twitter, the video went viral after being picked up by WorldStarHipHop. The response Ward received prompted her to consider a shift towards making music professionally. Ward took songwriting trips to Nashville, eventually moving there for a year before splitting her time between the studio in New York and Los Angeles, where she signed with management followed by a label deal with legendary producer Rick Rubin. “Mirror” sets the stage for more new music from Madison Ryann Ward in 2018.

Alexx A-Game Releases “Double” Featuring Tory Lanez

“The inspiration behind the track “Double” came from a thought process I had and a theory I developed from it. For me to be as great as I want to be then I have to put in twice as much work as there are challenges. In other words, the grind must out weigh the struggles for me to surpass them. From there I developed the concept of doubling up on everything positive so I can overwrite the negative” says Alexx – A -Game.

The track, which gives you a ‘neo-pop’ style will definitely appeal to a wide array of music lovers. Both artists compliment each other on the track presenting a song, which will definitely be heard on your airwaves.

Since its recent release, Double has received features in major international and national platforms such as Source Magazine, Riddim Magazine, HipHopWeekly, just to name a few. With the initial traction around the single, many are saying this will be the single to get Alexx A Game into the international scene and solidify Tory Lanez in the Caribbean market due to the refreshing style he brings across on this track.  over 5 years and is finally attaining the recognition and notoriety he deserves.

Currently Alexx A-Game is continuing to work with international producers and artists and set to make a major announcement in the coming weeks. “I’m working assiduously with my family and team to become the leader and game-changer I set out to be. I am a musician first and that is the discipline and difference that I feel will help me as an artist to rise above the mediocrity of the Jamaican music industry as it is”.

Pirelli Supplier Awards 2018

Sustainability, innovation and quality of service were the key elements for the Pirelli Supplier Awards 2018, the annual occasion when the Company awards 9 suppliers from its global supply chain of over 10,000. The Supplier Awards reward those suppliers who shine for their ability to make the Pirelli supply chain even more sustainable and enhance qualitative excellence, making Pirelli’s products more High Value, in line with the Group’s strategy.

Today the awards for the suppliers who distinguished themselves over the last year were presented by Chief Purchasing Officer, Matteo Battaini and the Chief Sustainability and Risk Governance Officer, Filippo Bettini, at a ceremony at Pirelli’s headquarters in Milan. The awards were given to nine suppliers in the areas of raw materials, services and machinery.

In the 2018 edition, the most frequently seen factors include innovation, quality of service and sustainability, which had its own specific award. Pirelli’s supply chain has been constructed to guarantee product innovation, process digitalization and long term competitiveness, where respect for the environment and attention to the value of people are considered a primary levers of growth.

Pirelli’s efforts towards a sustainable purchasing strategy were recognized by the confirmation that Pirelli’s supply system was in compliance with the UNI ISO 20400 rule, conferred in February 2018 by SGS Italia S.p.A. – one of the leading companies globally for inspection, verification, analysis and certification services. Pirelli is thus the first company in the automotive industry to have received this confirmation of compliance. The ISO 20400 constitutes the most important international guideline in the matter of supply chain sustainable governance, where the economic, social and environmental responsibility are integrated into the Company’s strategies, organization and purchasing processes.

The winners of the Pirelli Supplier Awards 2018 include:

It is essential that they share values such as innovation, quality, customer care, product and process sustainability and attention to brand value. And, in an ever more dynamic market context, goals must also be shared, such as cost rationalization, speed of adapting to new technology and implementation of best practices in sustainable management. Today Pirelli’s procurement involves the management of around 10,000 suppliers for a total expenditure of 3.2 billion euro in 2017, mainly on raw materials (46%), services (36%), machinery (13%) and consumption materials (3%).”

The Shakes Debut Music Video

Hailing from the depths of Orange County, CA, Indie-alt collective The Shakes debut the official music video for “With Every Moment”.

The beautifully crafted video was shot and directed by Benny Gigliardi, who does justice for the track. Which stems from frontman and songwriter Sean Perry’s harrowing near-death experience, cited as the main influence for the EP. Benny, who is known for his work with up and coming artists such as Super Whatevr and Hearts and Lions, goes on to describe his process of bringing his vision into fruition:

“It was such a blessing and a pleasure to get to direct this video. I’ve known Sean and Cameron for a couple of years now and we’ve been talking about doing a video ever since we met and I’m so thankful we waited as long as we did. I didn’t necessarily have a storyline in mind for the video, I just wanted to create something visually stunning that would compliment the song and sell an 80’s vibe but also keep it original. Sometimes the best ideas come in the simplest ways, but you also have to be fearless with your approach. But if it doesn’t scare you, where’s the fun in that? It brought me joy to bring this song to life and I hope it does the same for all who see it. This is just the beginning for the Shakes and I’m honored to get to work with them and watch them grow.

The video, does indeed capture Perry’s unique sound which blends 80’s inspired grooves with infectious “Britpop” influenced lyrics and melodies. Comes right on the heels of the young collectives highly anticipated debut EP, released independently on July 23rd, 2018. The Shakes who have had a big year so far since their big break performance at The Troubadour, opening for The Strike earlier this year. Followed by many other key shows throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Upon the EP’s release, not only were loyal cult followers thrilled, but also a new segment of listeners across the country. Partly due to key, infectious tracks such as “Scumptious” immediately pulling over 200,000 plays through streaming with praise from a wide range of well established music blogs online. You can check out the full EP for yourself on all streaming platforms.

With support from larger artists within the scene, such as Francois Comtois of Young The Giant. Whom featured on their debut single “Somebody” last year. THE SHAKES, aim to be a new refreshing voice within the rock scene and don’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. Already in the works on their next single “Six Feet Below”, coming early this fall.

You can view the cinematic video via youtube and IGTV on their instagram: @theshakesmusic which is cultivated with cinematic tones that are undeniably captivating.
