Once I buy the policy, will I ever need to change my vehicle insurance coverage?

Auto insurance policies are extremely important and even mandatory to drive a vehicle legally. The rate of road accidents is on the rise, and so is the price people have to pay for medical treatments and repairs that follow after a car accident. All you need as a driver is a fuel-efficient car (for the rising gas prices), and brilliant car insurance coverage that comes at a low cost and offers great coverage.

But there comes a time when having the same auto insurance policy can lead you to lose money. A question that often gets asked is if you’ll ever need to change your vehicle insurance coverage. This article will answer this question in detail, letting you know when is the right time to switch auto insurance policies and when to avoid changing insurance policies.

When to Change Auto Insurance Policies

Finding the perfect auto insurance policy or company that suits your needs the best is one of the best things that can happen to your commuting expenditure. Saving money while being secure is truly a blessing. But there are times when you might have to change your auto insurance policies because staying with the same company might not be as beneficial for you as it used to be.

Here are some of the instances when you should consider buying auto insurance policies from a different company or switching to a different policy.

Better Rates, Better Coverage

One of the most compelling reasons why you chose an auto insurance company is because they offer great coverage at a great price. That is until some other company offers something better, and you should always look out for the best for yourself.

So when your policy period is about to expire and the time to renew the policy is close, just do a quick search and find the best car insurance policies that offer better coverage at an even better price. With time your auto insurance needs to change, so you need to change your auto insurance policies accordingly.

The great thing about the internet is that you can find great insurance companies online with your computer or your smartphone. Just do a specific search and compare multiple policies and companies. Choosing the best car insurance policy has never been easier.

For example, if you live in Georgia, look for affordable auto insurance quotes in Georgia online, and get all the relevant information about the different policies and plans. Select the one that suits your needs the best, as when it comes to auto insurance policies, price and coverage are both of equal importance.

Pay-Per-Mile Coverage

The changing world after the pandemic has shown people that you need not travel 20 miles every day to work. Work can be done from anywhere, even in your home with equal efficiency. This has led to many companies adopting hybrid work schedules wherein people go to the offices for a few days and work from home for the rest of the week.

This leads to reduced use of your car, and reduced use brings down the mileage of the car. If your car usage has reduced due to something similar, why not switch to pay-per-mile car insurance? This policy could help you save hundreds of dollars in insurance expenditure.

Pay-per-mile insurance takes a base rate which is calculated by looking at your driving record, insurance claims, and other factors. This base rate is then multiplied by your monthly mileage to calculate the rate of your insurance. The less you drive, the less you pay while having the security of auto insurance.

Buy pay-per-mile car insurance only if your mileage is low and you don’t drive more than 800 miles a year. If you drive more than 800 miles a year, stick to general car insurance.

Accidents and Insurance Claims

Road accidents and insurance claims will increase your auto insurance rates when you renew the policy unless you have bought an accident forgiveness add-on. So if you’ve recently had a car accident, or gotten a speeding ticket, be ready to pay more when you renew your auto insurance. Or avoid paying more by switching companies.

Every auto insurance company will charge you extra if you have had an accident or any traffic violations. But you can still save money by choosing the auto insurance company that charges the least for the specific violation. For example, some companies only increase the rates by 20% for speeding tickets, while others increase them by 45%.

When Not to Change

Changing auto insurance companies or policies might not be a great idea all the time. There are some cases when you should stick with your auto insurance company to get the most benefits and save money. Here are those instances.

No Claims Bonuses

If you have not made any auto insurance claim during your policy period, there’s a good chance that you’ll get no-claim bonuses. As the name suggests, if you do not make any claims, you get some discounts on the policy renewal price. It can range anywhere from 20% to as high as 50% (for not making claims in 2 or 3 consecutive years).

The terms and conditions of no-claim bonuses vary, so make sure you contact your car insurance company and know everything about it. It is better to collect no-claim bonuses and stick with the same company.

Multiple Car Insurance Policies

If you have bought car insurance policies for multiple cars from the same company, it is better to stick with the same company as switching can make you lose some great discounts and other benefits.

Minimal Price Difference

Switching auto insurance companies might be very tempting if you see a big price difference. But it’s not worth it if the price difference is minimal. If you see some other car insurance company offering the same policy at maybe $100-$150 cheaper, don’t get into the hassle of switching policies. Stick with your current insurer.

New Maserati MC20 Cielo convertible Quail debut announced via 360 MAGAZINE

Maserati MC20 Cielo

Maserati MC20 Cielo made its North American debut today with an unveiling ceremony during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, a prestigious automotive event in California. The Quail, part of the influential “Car Week” in the town of Monterey, was the perfect backdrop to share the open-topped version of Maserati’s newest super sports car with North American audiences.

Global Chief Executive Officer, Davide Grasso, was in attendance for the ceremony alongside Maserati Americas CEO, Bill Peffer, and Head of Maserati Design, Klaus Busse. Crowds of excited VIP guests and members of the media enjoyed the unveiling during a press conference which also showcased the new Maserati Grecale Trofeo SUV, and the Maserati MC20 Coupe. Thousands of guests were able to experience the MC20 Cielo during this year’s annual summer gathering, which has become a pivotal part of United States car culture.

Cielo — which means “sky” in Italian — is the spyder version of the new MC20 super sports car and offers a perfect mix of sportiness and luxury. Unique to the convertible segment, the Cielo features an innovative retractable glass roof with a state-of-the-art electrochromic (smart glass) window that can instantly be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button on a central screen. The roof uses Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology to provide a multi-faceted driving experience: it can be all-encompassing with the roof closed and opaque, offer a unique “sky feeling” when the roof is transparent, and allow for a holistic experience with the top down.

The MC20 itself represents a renaissance for the Trident brand as Maserati’s first super sports car in more than a decade. The soul of the MC20 is the revolutionary new Nettuno engine, a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 delivering 630 horsepower (621 U.S. hp) at 7,500 rpm and producing 538 lb-ft of torque from 3,000 rpm. It also marks Maserati’s return to producing its own engines and, notably, is the first engine destined for the road to use an innovative pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin spark plugs, a technology derived from Formula 1 racing.

The MC20 Cielo was developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab and is produced at the historic plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena, making it 100% Made in Italy.

Anitta and Missy Elliott release song via 360 Magazine

Anitta × Missy

Continuing a massive year, history-making Brazilian global pop superstar Anitta serves up a sexy new single entitled “Lobby” with Missy Elliott. Listen to “Lobby” HERE and check out the video directed by Arrad HERE.

The “Lobby” video made its broadcast premiere this morning on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and on the Paramount Times Square billboards. The track heralds the arrival of the Deluxe Edition of her critically acclaimed new album and Warner Records debut, Versions Of Me, on August 25.

Anitta initially teased “Lobby” with a clip on TikTok, inciting widespread anticipation from fans worldwide. On the track, a dancefloor-ready disco beat and thumping bassline give way to her instantly infectious chorus, “Kiss me from the roof to the lobby. Meanwhile, the legendary Missy Elliott pulls up with a classic verse highlighted by quotable double entendre and her inimitable flow. Anitta drummed up excitement with an early Instagram post of her and Missy Elliott where she admitted, “I honestly can’t believe what’s happening right now.

Earlier this month, she teased Versions of Me (Deluxe Edition) with the sizzling and seductive music video for the single “Gata.” In addition to trending on YouTube, it has already gathered over 4.5 million views and counting. Director Giovanni Bianco notably helmed the video.

Making headlines, Anitta garnered her career-first nomination for the MTV VMAs in the category of “Best Latin” for “Envolver.” She emerged as “the first Brazilian to be nominated for a solo project in the history of the VMAs.” Beyond the nod, she will make her “Envolver” broadcast performance premiere at the August 28 ceremony. Be sure to tune in!

Anitta has exceeded one benchmark after another during this historic year. She not only emerged as “the first female Brazilian solo act to perform at Coachella,” but she also earned a Guinness World Record as “the first Latin solo artist to reach #1 on the Spotify Daily Global 100” with “Envolver.” The latter also remains “the highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 by a Brazilian soloist this century.”

Beyond nearing 1 billion streams, Versions of Me has incited unanimous critical applause. In a 4-out-of-5 star review, Rolling Stone hailed it as a “Bewitching global dance-floor experience,”and Stereogum summed it up best, “Anitta is coming for all of your awards.” With another 4-out-of-5 star rating,  NME crowned it “a searingly ambitious affair from a star who knows exactly what she wants,” and Billboard proclaimed, “Versions of Me is both retrospective and reflective, where Anitta is nothing but an open book.”

Versions of Me has exploded as the ultimate global Latin music experience of 2022, and she’s about to unleash its definitive version next week.

In April, Anitta released Versions of Me to praise from the likes of The New York Times, and more. The 15-track album was released in Spanish, English, and Portuguese and holds the record of biggest streaming week for a Brazilian artist on Spotify, with over 40 million streams. Following the album’s release, Anitta performed at Coachella where, as Variety proclaimed,  she “wowed” the crowd with a 45-minute set that featured a “mind-boggling mixture of genres, emphasizing the Brazilian and Latin music that rose her to stardom.”

Anitta is managed by Brandon Silverstein/Founder of S10 Entertainment.

Tana – Hell Yeah

Gearing up for another massive moment, 15-year-old phenomenon tana (f/k/a BabySantana) serves up a new single and music video entitled “hell yeah” today via Galactic Records/Republic Records. Listen to “hell yeah”HERE. Watch the music video for “hell yeah”HERE.

The track’s otherworldly and off-kilter production offsets his dynamic melodic flow. He cuts through the beat with ethereal melodies and an engaging and entrancing hook. The accompanying visual seamlessly captures this sonic ebb and flow.

It arrives in the wake of “swagging like this” with Lancey Foux and “nyc.” The latter reeled in over 1.3 million Spotify streams in addition to receiving critical acclaim. Right out of the gate, office raved, “[tana], who is known for his brief but genius tracks and adds ‘NYC’ to the list of songs you wish were longer” and hailed the track as “filled with a frenzy of hard-hitting lyrics from his prodigal mind.

Recently, he concluded a full-scale North American tour with multiplatinum chart-topping rap phenoemnon Lil Tecca. Next up, he will appear at Rolling Loud Toronto September 9-11 and Rolling Loud New York September 23-25 before supporting Tecca on tour across Europe.

Earlier this year, tana’s “off the leash!” feat. yvngxchris & Luisss racked up north of 26.2 million Spotify streams. Daily Chiefers applauded it as a “fucking banger” and urged, “each drop is seemingly better than the previous one.” DJ Booth touted it among the “Best Songs of the Week” and wrote, Santana declares himself ‘off the leash, which has the young Georgia rapper gnashing through crunchy production and features from yvngxchris and Luisss.

With catchy chameleonic flows, a predilection for otherworldly melodies, and skill that far belies his age, 15-year-old rapper and creator tana roots his vision in versatility. The Columbus, GA native presents an ambitious perspective on hip-hop, separating himself from the pack by disregarding convention and pushing past every boundary. As a kid, tana instantly gravitated towards music, listening to everyone from Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz to Soulja Boy and Pitbull. By 12-years-old, he taught himself how to record, working out of a tiny bedroom closet in complete D.I.Y. fashion. Under initial the name BabySantana, he slowly, but surely gained traction on Soundcloud with a series of uploads. Lil Tecca jumped on his “Prada (Remix), and Pitchfork showed love to the collaboration in 2020. He parlayed this momentum into an explosion with “Antisocial” [feat. Slump6s], gathering 76.1 million Spotify streams and 5.6 million YouTube views. Its sequel “Antisocial 2” [feat. Slump6sYung FazoXhuloooSSGKOBE] posted up 23 million Spotify streams as “14” [with KA$HDAMI] reeled in another 24 million Spotify streams. Concurrently, XXL summed up his rise, “more and more artists are grasping hip-hop earlier than ever, and creating it in their own way. BabySantana surely fits the bill.” After amassing hundreds of millions of streams and earning acclaim, he emerges as an inimitable force on his 2022 debut project, and more to come.

Emeline debuts new single strut via 360 Magazine

EMELINE – STRUT

Artist on the rise, EMELINE returns today with her strong-minded and sensually charged new single “Strut” and its accompanying video. Listen HERE and check out the visual HERE.

Co-written by EMELINE, “Strut” finds the Los Angeles-based artist fully owning her sexuality and turning the track’s chorus into a supremely catchy statement of freedom: “I don’t do the walk of shame, I strut.” A dance-ready anthem of self-celebration, “Strut” follows the Rhode Island-born singer/songwriter’s viral smash hit “cinderella’s dead” — an early-2022 release that is fast approaching 100 million combined global streams, over 500 million TikTok views and hit the Top 20 of the Spotify Daily Viral chart and Top 25 on the US Spotify Viral 50 chart. In June, EMELINE was also featured in the Queer Music Week edition of MTV News Presents: Rising.

In a departure from the slow-burning dark-pop of “cinderella’s dead,” “Strut” brings EMELINE’s breathy vocals and sophisticated wordplay to a high-energy backdrop of diamond-hard beats, glistening synth, and retro-flavored horns. Both playful and unapologetic, the result is the latest proof of EMELINE’s gift for transforming self-reflection into spellbinding songs with a powerful impact.

Co-directed by EMELINE and Kate Zamudio, the video for “Strut” follows the free-spirited phenomenon as she struts along city streets, endlessly turning heads with her unbridled confidence. A glorious explosion of pink, the visual also captures EMELINE making out in a vintage car and an old-school phone booth, ultimately inspiring the scandalized bystanders to shake off their inhibitions and dance along with her.

EMELINE has announced a string of US shows in October, with performances at NYC’s Mercury Lounge, Chicago’s Schubas Tavern and the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles- tickets available here and dates are below.

Along with “cinderella’s dead” (hailed by Ones To Watch as an “irresistible anthem to rediscovering yourself”), EMELINE’s past output includes “what it means to be a girl” (a December release that speaks out on her experience as a young woman in a dangerously toxic culture) and “this is how i learn to say no” (a massively inspiring anthem for setting boundaries and reclaiming your power) which immediately established EMELINE as a self-possessed artist who’s entirely fearless when it comes to speaking her truth.

A multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar and piano, EMELINE first broke through with her hypnotic single “flowers & sex”: a June 2021 release that hit #4 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 chart, surpassed 10 million global streams within just eight weeks, landed on nearly 30 Spotify editorial playlists, and earned critical praise from outlets like Earmilk and Paper (who noted that the “blunt pop anthem…arrives at a time when people are craving a little self-love and a lot of sexual pleasure after a year of endless isolation”). With her gritty honesty and empowered vulnerability, EMELINE is now at work on more new music driven by her mission of uplifting and supporting women everywhere.

San Roman gets messy with new single via 360 MAGAZINE

SAN ROMAN

SAN ROMAN, the solo music project of multi-disciplinary artist Alexa San Román, shares her brand new single, “Messy.” The song is the title track off her forthcoming debut album, set for release later this year. Written by Alexa herself, “Messy” is a nostalgic, pop/rock anthem that reflects on the mess that our lives can sometimes be and that even though it can feel frustrating and like you’re never going to get out of that mess, you just have to push through to the otherside. Listen to “Messy” now HERE.

SAN ROMAN also shares the accompanying self-directed and self-edited video for the track, which is premiering now on The Honey Pop. Viewers are taken through the halls of her childhood home as she provides the backing instrumentals for the track, only furthering the DIY approach to Alexa’s new solo project. Watch the video now HERE.

About the song, Alexa says, “The title track of my upcoming album, ‘Messy’ is about running in place. That feeling when you try to punch something underwater & the moment of slight amusement when things are so bad you can’t help but to laugh. It’s finding the motivation to nonetheless still get up outta bed and wade through the metaphorical mess. ‘When my world fell down around me, I caught fire but I’ll be fine.’”

“Messy” follows her debut single, “Stay Where You Are,” a hard-hitting alt/rock song about people who don’t want to put in the work to change their bad habits, and blame everyone else in the process.

Born in Los Angeles & raised in New York, Alexa began her music career in 2005 when she received her first guitar as a Christmas gift. Growing up on Long Island, NY her first steps into music were through the hardcore scene, earning her first role of guitarist at 16 in the local favorite Love, Robot. Soon after the band realized her vocal chops were being overlooked she was promoted to front woman and the band would go on to enjoy 10 more years of success with her at the helm, eventually breaking into the coveted Warped Tour scene and gaining fans around the world. It was during this time she started honing in on her visual talents, filming music videos for her own band and eventually breaking out to do others. To this day alongside her musical endeavors she is in high demand as a director and has shot for Journeys, D’Addario, Hopeless Records, Fearless Records and countless independent artists.

After laying the foundation for her future in music and growing up alongside Love, Robot the group disbanded and thus was the birth of her second project, the alt-rock duo group Heirsound. Here she would continue with her signature brand of music- strong yet melodic guitar leads and thoughtful emotional lyricism and find success and a fanbase that to this day is still consuming their music. Following three successful EPs the duo posted a public farewell statement and went their separate ways.

After her five year hiatus from music since Heirsound’s disbandment, Alexa San Román is back with a fervor, adapting her last name as her newest project’s name and moving forward with only one bandmate- herself. SAN ROMAN is a culmination of years of musical experience and at the same time a fresh start for the singer. Citing loss and the pain of watching time pass as some of her main inspiration, her newest record is a diary entry put on play, loud. San Román’s newest venture is the arrival of an artist that is finally ready to stand alone.

Quail Debut

“Each commission represents a distinct design reflecting an aspect of what Phantom means to its ultimate owner. Many Phantom owners achieve their success through new ideas, unconventional methods, and their own relentless self-belief. The ‘Maverick’ Bespoke persona demonstrates how Phantom adapts to the modern age, asserting a creative, independent character.” Jonathan Simms, Head of Bespoke, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars showcases Phantom Series II for the first time in North America at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The stunning commission was unveiled by Rolls-Royce Motors Cars Chief Executive Officer, Torsten Müller-Ötvös. Phantom Series II, the newest expression of the marque’s pinnacle motor car, proposes the broadest range of Bespoke opportunities ever offered by the House of Rolls-Royce.

The designers at Rolls-Royce created Phantom to provide the ultimate blank canvas. To demonstrate the power of Bespoke design with Phantom Series II, the unique Bespoke commission showcased at The Quail has been coined ‘Maverick’ by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke designers.

Phantom’s new expression features two unique Bespoke elements, utilising light and extending the impact of the iconic Starlight Headliner to the exterior. The Pantheon Grille is now illuminated, with each metal vane specifically finished to provide a subtle glow. The headlights are graced with 580 intricate laser-cut bezel starlights. Combined, these create a visual connection with the iconic Starlight Headliner inside and add to Phantom’s nighttime presence.

The exterior is finished in a classic Rolls-Royce two-tone colourway with Black over Monteverde green highlighting a bold, hand applied Peony Pink coachline. The coachline set against the darker colours draws inspiration from the interior colour design. Upon opening the coach doors, one encounters an interior suite of Scivaro Grey offset by a vibrant colour pop from large swatches in Peony Pink. The Obsydian Ayous open pore wood and canadel panelling present a contemporary yet warm look and feel. The Gallery in this special commission features a world first with a unique embroidery design finished in Scivaro Grey with a Peony Pink thread.

Tony Stark aka iron man from marvel via 360 Magazine

IRON MAN

On the eve of the character’s 60th anniversary, Iron Man will begin a new era this December. Writer Gerry Duggan (X-Men) and artist Juan Frigeri (Avengers) will kick off a new run of IRON MAN’s solo title that will bring Tony Stark to his darkest depths only to rise greater than ever before! INVINCIBLE IRON MAN will follow Christopher Cantwell’s thought-provoking run on the title that concludes in November’s IRON MAN #750, the upcoming milestone issue that will give fans their first glimpse of what’s to come in this new chapter. The ongoing series will begin with Tony reflecting on the highs and lows of his 60 years of history, including digging up some classic armors and confronting old wounds, to overcome a devastating defeat at the hands of a Marvel villain who’s been making big waves throughout the Marvel Universe recently.

It all ends here? Tony Stark, the genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist, has lost it all: his wealth…his fame…his friends. But Stark doesn’t realize he still has so much more to lose, especially when a mystery villain puts out a hit on him! Every assassin around the Marvel Universe has come out of the shadows for Tony — and he has no idea who hired them! Will this cavalcade of killers close the book on Iron Man? It’s the beginning of the end, as the Golden Avenger must fight for his life and find out what it really means to hit rock bottom.

“It’s my privilege to try and follow Christopher Cantwell and his collaborators’ stellar run on IRON MAN heading into an anniversary year,” Duggan said. “Juan and I are going to introduce a new menace that is gunning for Tony Stark and his greatest creation. We have an epic tale for Stark and plans for old foes, including flashbacks to some of his classic armors. How about a little Silver Centurion for his diamond anniversary? Armor up, you’re gonna need it.”

Creative Director Berit Gilma inside 360 MAGAZINE

BERIT GILMA

Rising creative director and artist Berit Gilma is making her multi-disciplinary talents known on Danny Elfman‘s latest project, the upcoming remix album Bigger. Messier.

The young Austrian-born artist based between Los Angeles and Berlin creative-directed the record, released on August 12, as well as Elfman’s 2021 album Big Mess. She led all visual elements of both releases and co-curated the lineup of remixers that would transform Elfman’s tracks on Bigger. Messier

Gilma’s expertise in digital art and new technologies was pivotal for Elfman’s renaissance, helping him return to his artistic roots in alternative music while collaborating with underground and established artists alike. Best known for the new wave band Oingo Boingo and his TV and movie scoring work, Elfman’s uproarious, career-spanning set at Coachella, went viral earlier this year.

For the latest remix to drop from the new album, Gilma invited Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten) to rework “In Time,” bringing together two legends of alternative music for the first time as well as co-producing the track. Gilma conceived the collaboration after having returned to Berlin, where Bargeld lives, from Los Angeles during the COVID pandemic.

“We tried to bring exciting musicians on board to completely rethink Danny’s songs,” says Gilma. “Legends as well as contemporary, young artists from various genres. Living in Berlin for so long, I’ve always been a Einstürzende Neubauten admirer. As underground icons, they inspired the international music scene and many bands to come. Danny and Blixa are both true artistic souls. They both started with similar interests, and just due to their cultural contexts went very different journeys. By introducing them to each other, I thought something magical could happened – and it did.”

The striking video for “In Time” is inspired by Gilma and Elfman’s mutual fascination with AI systems in art. Gilma invited Italian AV artist LOREM to reinterpret the album’s visuals with artificial intelligence.

Says Gilma, “I have worked with LOREM before and love his art. Both Blixa and Danny were excited about the idea to let an artificial intelligence “dream” the video using the lyrics. The outcome is an endless moving pull through a dream-scape of an AI trying to make sense of what was given to it.”

Previously-released tracks from the album include noise-rapper GHOSTEMANE’s remix of “Native Intelligence,” by Elfman and Trent Reznor. Other remixers and collaborators include legends such as Iggy Pop, along with Squarepusher, Zach Hill (Death Grips), Boy Harsher, HEALTH, and many more.

Gilma thoroughly defined the aesthetic direction of Bigger. Messier. – her vision brought together a curated list of artists, who worked with cutting-edge technology such as 3D scanning, CGI, and artificial intelligence to digitally manipulate Danny’s body. Warping and twisting his form into something grotesque and sinister, the visuals are perfectly complimenting the rocker’s dark musical vision. These artworks were used on album covers, packaging, and as backing visuals during Elfman’s live performances.

Bigger. Messier. was released today. Watch the video for “In Time (feat. Blixa Bargeld)” here.

About Berit Gilma

Berit Gwendolyn Gilma has made a career out of chasing what lurks in the shadows. Born and raised in Austria, at 21 she moved to Berlin and quickly fell into the city’s underground scene. While exploring the German capital’s pulsating music and arts scene she befriended hacktivists and artists working on the bleeding edge of tech, criticizing pervasive global surveillance systems. She holds a BA degree from the University of the Arts Berlin, where she studied New Media Arts under celebrated Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei

Her path diverged in 2016 when she met world-famous Hollywood composer and musician Danny Elfman. They bonded over a shared interest in the weirder side of pop culture, and after earning a Fulbright Scholarship and moving to Los Angeles to pursue an MFA at the UCLA Design Media Arts Department, she became Elfman’s creative director. As he prepared to re-enter the music industry after a long hiatus as a solo artist, Elfman turned to Gilma as a collaborator. She provided creative and art direction for Elfman’s album Big Mess, introducing him to contemporary digital artists and new technologies such as 3D scanning and artificial intelligence to produce cutting edge visuals that were used throughout the album art and music videos. Her latest project with Elfman is the remix album Bigger. Messier., for which she co-curated a lineup of legendary collaborators including Iggy PopTrent ReznorBlixa Bargeld and exciting young talents like GhostemaneHEALTHBoy Harsher and many others.

In her artistic work Gilma has explored the aesthetics of secrecy. Her MFA degree examined the intersection of art and science, and she has also studied at the New School in New York and RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She often returns home to Graz as the art curator of the city’s Elevate Festival, a destination for contemporary art and electronic music. What unites all of Berit Gilma’s activities is a sensitivity for the dark arts, carving for herself a unique niche where sound and vision merge at the forefront of technology.
