Boca Raton Museum’s New Experience

Top Florida Officials Enjoy an Andean Celebration as Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru Makes its World Premiere Announcement at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Captivating Museum Experience Featuring 192 Artifacts, Including the Most-Impressive Collection of Andean Gold Ever to Travel the World, is Coming to Boca Raton in October!

This fall, South Floridians and tourists from across the globe will discover a culture that thrived in a mythical world thousands of years ago. World Heritage Exhibitions announced today the world premiere of Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru, opening on October 16, 2021. The first stop of a worldwide tour will take place at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Cityneon presents the exhibition with support from the Government of Peru, the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, and in partnership with Inkaterra Asociacion. The artifacts in the exhibition are on loan from Museo Larco in Lima, Peru, and Museo de Sitio Manuel Chávez Ballón in Aguas Calientes, Peru. 

Today’s world-premiere announcement provided authentic Andean entertainment throughout the Boca Raton Museum of Art featuring Miami-based Peruvian artists, including Peruvian music by Kuyayky, artwork by Roberto Carlos Olivia Hernandez, and ceramics by Polo Ramirez. Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer and Visit Florida Regional Partnership Manager Lindsey Norris were on-site today to welcome representatives of the exhibition and partner institutions. In addition, a welcoming video statement from Florida Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee was presented. PromPeru, the Peruvian tourism bureau, supported today’s event.

Featuring the most impressive Andean gold collection ever to travel the world, this enchanting museum experience highlights a stunning selection of 192 artifacts from royal tombs, including spectacular objects that belonged to noble Andean lords, many never-before-seen out of Peru. One of the exhibition’s highlights is a fully intact gold attire of a Chimú Emperor that dates to 1300 AD.

Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru will showcase Peruvian culture’s rich histories and traditions to the public like never before.

South Florida, known as the ‘Gateway to Latin America,’ is the ideal location to host this world premiere, and having the opportunity to present this exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art is truly a pleasure, described President and Chairman of World Heritage Exhibitions, Anthony Tann. This exhibition is exciting and engaging, and thus, we expect ‘Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru’ to be the largest cultural attraction throughout the region this fall.

During their visit to the exhibition, guests are taken to the mysterious city in the sky, built and abandoned within a century. They will continue on a journey through the vast expanse of Andean history, traveling alongside the mythical hero Ai Apaec, and discovering the mysteries of Andean cosmology.

‘Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru’ showcases the extraordinary and rich history of ancient Peru. It brings to life the various cultures that have lived in the land of the Incas and Machu Picchu over an astounding 3,000 years, stated President of Museo Larco, Andres Alvarez-Calderon.

Due to the current global pandemic, the need for social distancing, and other measures to prevent the coronavirus spread, the number of visitors allowed to visit Machu Picchu yearly has dipped to 250,000. This exhibition expands the ability to experience Machu Picchu to the world. Here, the first-ever virtual reality experience of Machu Picchu will be unveiled, allowing guests a window into the unrivaled beauty and flourishing landscape.

Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru will allow the stories and riches of Andean civilizations to travel the world, said Inkaterra Asociacion founder, Joe Koechlin. We could not be more delighted about sharing our history and culture with the people of South Florida and Beyond.

Beginning on October 16, 2021, at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru will start its limited run in South Florida before leaving the U.S. and embarking on a multi-country, worldwide tour. The state-of-the-art exhibition will encompass the entire museum, including all galleries on both floors. Exhibition ticket prices start at $19.95.

Bleachers will be performing Stop Making This Hurt on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 26th – making them the first full band to perform in-studio in over a year.

I fell into a dark place after a loss and then started to have that feeling of rage towards the depression – which is when you know there’s a way out. started looking at the people close to me in my life and finding all the ways we keep ourselves from breaking through. ‘Stop Making This Hurt’ started ringing more and more in my head. Then the pandemic hit and I got the band in a room and we played like we may never play again. at that point it took on another meaning. found myself banging at the door of the next phase of my life and to open brings up all the darkness from the past and what’s holding you back. i could intellectualize it for days but what i’m truly left with is a voice in my head shouting ‘Stop Making This Hurt’. 

Stop Making This Hurt is the first single and third offering from Bleachers’ forthcoming album and follows previously released tracks Chinatown feat. Bruce Springsteen and 45 which were met with mass critical praise in late 2020.

Pirelli Announces New Tire Launch

PIRELLI RUN FLAT: 20 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY BORN OUT OF RALLYING: NOW APPLIED TO COMFORT, SUSTAINABILITY AND NEW ELECTRIC MOBILITY

MORE THAN 1000 DIFFERENT TYPES OF RUN FLAT TIRES DEVELOPED, MORE THAN 70 MILLION TIRES PRODUCED AND OVER 50 CAR MODELS ON THE ROAD WITH THIS TECHNOLOGY

The principal benefit of Pirelli’s run flat technology – introduced to select Pirelli road tires in 2001 using the lessons learned from rallying – is to allow drivers to continue driving for a while after most punctures, rather than being stranded by the side of the road. Rallying is where this technology was tried and tested for the first time, with tires featuring a reinforced structure designed to allow driving after a puncture, which would otherwise cost several minutes in the heat of intense competition on a wide variety of roads.

NEW MATERIALS AND PROCESSES TO INCREASE COMFORT AND SUSTAINABILITY

Non-stop research and development into new materials and processes has helped Pirelli to improve driving comfort in recent years for cars equipped with Run Flat tires. Thanks to new technology in the tire’s structure, as well as advances in the materials used, increased comfort for drivers and better rolling resistance, with reduced fuel consumption and fewer emissions, are possible. These tires are built to absorb bumps in the road, and they offer similar levels of comfort as standard tires, but with the key advantage of being designed to allow continued driving up to 50 miles at 50 miles per hour (mph) to seek assistance after most puncture events – even with reduced air pressure. The particular suspension characteristics of vehicles equipped with Run Flat tires as original equipment should encourage the driver to always use tires with this technology, including as replacement tires when needed, to maximize the performance of the car.

USEFUL TECHNOLOGY FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES, WITH AN EYE TOWARDS THE FUTURE

Spare tires are not usually available in electric cars, in order to free up more space for batteries. That’s why several vehicle manufacturers choose extended mobility solutions such as Run Flat or Seal Inside to minimize inconvenience and allow the driver to get to a shop in the event of most punctures. Run Flat tires are designed to allow motorists, including those with electric vehicles, to continue driving up to 50 miles at up to 50 mph without loss of air pressure, even after most punctures. Run Flat technology is also expected to play an important role in future autonomous driving systems, by helping the vehicle remain operative in most road hazard events.

OVER 1,000 DIFFERENT VERSIONS DEVELOPED AND MORE THAN 70 MILLION RUN FLAT TIRES PRODUCED

Over the last 20 years, Pirelli’s engineers have developed more than 1,000 different types of tires featuring run flat technology, which are built to allow drivers to keep driving for up to 50 miles at a maximum speed of up to 50mph. It’s a solution that has been adopted by many different manufacturers, who have requested run flat tires as original equipment on their new vehicles – such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Alfa Romeo. Throughout these two decades, Pirelli has produced more than 70 million run flat tires, including summer, winter and all-season tires – some of which have been fitted to the most powerful and prestigious cars of recent times, including the entire BMW and Mini range, a substantial part of the Mercedes range, the Alfa Romeo Giulia, Audi Q5 and Q7.

A WIDE RANGE AVAILABLE

There are more than a dozen premium and prestige vehicle car manufacturers that use Pirelli tires with run flat technology today, including Audi, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce. This technology is available on more than 50 models of Pirelli tires homologated as original equipment for use by car vehicle manufacturers. All these tires carry ‘run flat’ markings on the sidewalls, together with markings denoting the individual vehicle manufacturer they are intended for. On some tires, this technology is combined with Pirelli Elect and PNCS noise-cancelling technology. The former is dedicated to electric vehicles and is focused on low rolling resistance, reduced tire noise, grip, and a structure designed to support the weight of a battery-powered vehicle. PNCS is instead focused on reduction of perceived tire noise inside the cabin, thanks to the use of special sound-absorbing sponge on the inside of the tire. Pirelli Seal Inside is yet another technology made available by Pirelli. In the event of a puncture in most portions of the tire, a sealing substance inside the tire forms a seal around the foreign object as soon as it penetrates the tire, preventing air from escaping and the tire from losing pressure. When the foreign object is extracted, the same material seals up the edges of the resulting hole, until the tire can be repaired, so drivers can carry on driving in control and comfort.

Pirelli’s high-end Run Flat tires are the result of Pirelli’s innovative MIRS production process, which is entirely controlled by computer with ‘raw’ tires made using robots offering a final result with high standards of quality and reliability. Pirelli’s self-supporting run flat system uses special reinforcements inserted into the internal sidewalls, which are designed to sustain the lateral and transversal loads on the car even in the absence of tire pressure.

The AS Plus line of Pirelli tires have been specifically designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of larger vehicles like crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks. As a result of the pandemic, CEO Pietro Berardi explained that Pirelli has put more investment into researching their customer base and design innovations than ever before in the past year. The head of Pirelli’s North American Marketing team added that in their research for the Scorpion AS Plus 3, designers were able to use 3D modelling and simulation in order to create the most optimal tread design for the best handling and grip on both tight turns and high speeds. The 3D models are a huge innovation in the design and manufacturing of tires, as designers were able to see in real time the differences in type of treads in different environments as well as comparing how they’d each hold up over time. 

Using 3D technology, Pirelli was able to design the Scorpion AS Plus 3 to optimize quietness and comfortability, road-hugging grip, and all-season performance that motorheads and thrill-seekers will depend on. The tires are designed for all North American crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks and come in a wide variety of thirty seven different sizes. They even have custom-fit tires for popular vehicles like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and F-150 for customer’s ease and convenience.

Says Rudimental’s Amir Amor, Experiment. That’s one of the defining factors I’ve learned — you can get something from the most unlikely places.  Adds bandmate Kesi Dyden, When we heard the original version of The Fratellis’ track we were remixing, we were like, wow. It’s a great song, but it’s so different from what we make, and our sound. It’s quite exciting for us to step out of our comfort zone.

The Fratellis performed Need A Little Love on The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio, where they also performed a live version of Baccara’s 70s classic Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which has become a viral hit reaching 200k views on YouTube. The band will release a studio version of the song to coincide with Scotland’s appearance in the delayed Euro 2020 football tournament.

Inhaler Announces 2022 Tour

INHALER ANNOUNCE MARCH 2022 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR, TICKETS ON SALE MAY 21, Dublin Quartet To Release Debut Album It Won’t Always Be Like This July 9th

Inhaler announce their North American tour kicking off March 4, 2022 in Atlanta at Terminal West and wrapping up March 31, 2022 in Los Angeles at The Belasco Theatre (see below for complete itinerary).   Tickets are available to the general public on May 21 at 10am local time. Tickets can be purchased here.  The Dublin quartet’s first full-length, It Won’t Always Be Like This, will be released on July 9th on Interscope Records and is available to pre-order here. It’s a record that sees Elijah Hewson (vocals and guitar), Josh Jenkinson (guitar), Robert Keating (bass) and Ryan McMahon (drums) turn their early promise into something special, an album teeming with expansive indie-rock grooves and soaring anthems. We really had the opportunity to explore our sound, says Hewson.

We’re extremely happy to announce our next American venture, says Inhaler. Hard to believe we’ve gone this long without each other.  Can’t wait to play you new music.

The album includes the single Cheer Up Baby, a swooping, epic singalong alongside early fan favorites My Honest Face and title track It Won’t Always Be Like This. Inhaler made their U.S. television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden in March where they performed  Cheer Up Baby.  Inhaler has amassed a diehard fan base despite only releasing a handful of singles which have been streamed over 52 million times.   

Inhaler will play a full tour of the UK and Ireland later this year before heading to the states for their March 2022 North American headline tour.  The dates in September, October and December include brand new UK tour dates alongside the band’s rescheduled tour of Ireland. Inhaler formed while still at school in Dublin, bonding over a love of Joy Division, The Stone Roses, Kings Of Leon, The Strokes, Interpol, The Cure and more. Meduza Debuts Single at Museum Fiasco

Museum Fiasco, located inside AREA15 in Las Vegas, debuted the release of Meduza’s newest single last night on Thursday, May 13, in collaboration with Playmodes Studio and Insomniac Records. The first-known music launch in a contemporary art museum, the new track, Headrush, played in sync with a light show produced by Playmodes Studio, the group behind the concept and audiovisual contents of Museum Fiasco’s current exhibitions.   

The Headrush experience will continue to play from 10 p.m. – midnight from Friday, May 14, through Sunday, May 30. Best recognized for hit track featuring Dermot Kennedy, Paradise, which has over 500 million streams and has remained on the Global Top 50 playlist on Spotify for 15 weeks straight, Meduza is made up of Luca de Gregorio, Mattia Vitale and Simone Giani, who attended the event in Las Vegas.

Today, Volbeat announces the European/UK vinyl release of Hokus Bonus: a vinyl-only compilation of ‘bonus tracks’ from special editions of the band’s previous albums, many of which have never been available on vinyl before. The LP, limited to 6K numbered copies, features cover art from long-time Volbeat illustrator Karsten Sand and will be pressed on yellow smoke vinyl.
