guccihighheels – Heartbreak Highway

Genre-defying artist, producer and songwriter guccihighwaters has released his major label debut EP, heartbreak highway. The six-track collection is available to stream and download via Public Consumption in partnership with Elektra Music Group HERE. To celebrate the EP’s arrival, guccihighwaters has unveiled a brand new official music video for intimate piano ballad, “believe.” Watch the Ross Ginsberg-directed visual on guccihighwaters‘ official YouTube channel HERE.

“My goal with this new EP was to showcase how much I’ve grown over the years, especially with my lyrics and vocals,” shares guccihighwaters. “I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with new sounds, and I truly believe this is my best music yet. I’m so glad to put it out into the world.”

In late 2021, guccihighwaters holed up in a Los Angeles studio with producer Courtney Ballard [Waterparks]. He absorbed the spirit of diverse inspirations, ranging from Lionel Richie‘s “Dancing on the Ceiling” and the Drive Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to The Weeknd. “Courtney played a bunch of eighties beats for me,” guccihighwaters recalls. “I was into a lot of synth-revival music, so it was cool to hear where it came from. I took the synths and the drum grooves and morphed my style to fit those elements. It felt natural.”

guccihighwaters announced his signing to Public Consumption last month alongside the release of tracks “crash my car” and “devil on my shoulder.” Earlier this month, he formally announced the heartbreak highway EP and unveiled the synth-driven single “the chase” alongside an official music video. Signifying a new era in guccihighwaters’ ever-evolving sound, the EP’s early releases arrived to immediate praise from Alt Press, Consequence, Ones To Watch and more.

guccihighwaters is currently on the road in North America supporting nothing, nowhere. The 25-city trek kicked off last month and will conclude on May 27 in New York, NY at Irving Plaza. The bill also includes Poorstacy, carolesdaughter and Snarls. This fall, guccihighwaters will support nothing, nowhere. on tour in the UK and Europe. A complete list of upcoming tour dates can be found HERE

heartbreak highway follows guccihighwaters’ 2021 album joke’s on you. Arriving to widespread acclaim, KERRANG! promised, “Whatever genre you label the tunes, the music of guccihighwaters doesn’t joke around when it comes to conveying emotion in its rawest form.” Alt Press lauded the “accomplished artist poised to be a star,” while Ones To Watch proclaimed, “the sounds from singer/producer Morgan Murphy are as raw as it gets.” Billboard applauded standout single “rock bottom” [feat. nothing, nowhere.] as “the highlight of guccihighwaters’ joke’s on you album,” and NME praised the track as “an introspective blend of alt-rock and dark hip-hop flourishes—a marked progression from the online emo scene.”

About guccihighwaters

guccihighwaters glides through a soundscape familiar enough to catch your attention, yet futuristic enough to hold it. The artist, singer, and producer not only blurs the lines between alternative, R&B and hip-hop, but also the boundaries between yesterday, today and tomorrow. Growing up in between Long Beach, NY and Ireland, he maintained a diehard passion for music. After discovering Yung Lean at 18-year-old, he crafted beats all night. A year into this evening ritual, he picked up a microphone and penned lyrics to anesthetize the pain of his first breakup. His first collection of songs comprised the post death EP in 2017. Among many standouts, the fan favorite “i’m so sick of this” gathered 51.6 million Spotify streams and counting. In its wake, he unleashed music at a prolific pace, including multiple EPs and his 2021 full-length debut, jokes on you. Along the way, he toured with Lund, Lil Lotus, Smrtdeath, guardin, and nothing, nowhere.

paris jackson – lighthouse

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress and activist paris jackson unveiled her brand-new single entitled “lighthouse” out now via Republic Records—listen to “lighthouse” HERE. The song was produced by singer, songwriter, musician and producer Butch Walker

The single is released alongside the official music video, which was inspired by the iconic video for Nirvana‘s “Sliver.” In the video, paris pays homage with a photo of Kurt Cobain—a full circle moment to the original video. Watch the “lighthouse” video HERE.

The song channels unbridled nineties rock energy as it harnesses the power of a classic alternative dynamic with a twist of its own. paris’ hypnotic verses give way to a chantable chorus, “I can feel the lights go low, but I don’t wanna let go now, maybe if I turn around you’ll see me, and what you used to be,” before a hummable guitar solo.

On the song, paris says, “I continued to write about this same old heartbreak that wilted is about. A lot of the new songs coming out are similar stories about the same person and heartbreak. I guess I’m just exploring different feelings. wilted was a more melancholy record, and now I’m exploring more of the anger…”

paris recently lit up SXSW with her debut performance at the festival, landing looks from Billboard, The Recording Academy’s Grammy U and more. Back in 2020, she delivered her debut album, wilted, joined by collaborators Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. Upon arrival, it captured #1 on the iTunes US Alternative Albums Chart and incited the applause of NPR, Rolling Stone, Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, E! News, People, NME, NYLON, Refinery29, WWD and more. Additionally, she ignited late-night television with an emotionally charged rendition of “let down” on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!. paris remained prolific in 2021 with The Struts’ collaboration “Low Key In Love,” before sharing the lost EP as a surprise gift for her fans in early 2022. Now, paris jackson re-introduces herself with an honest and raw signature sound.

UKRAINIAN artist, painter, professor via 360 MAGAZINE

Yana Bystrova

Yana Bystrova is a third-generation Ukrainian artist, born to create undeniably conceptual, enticing pieces of art. Having her body of work showcased in galleries around the world, Yana has continuously stunned audiences with her meticulous creations full of color, concept and mixed media.

Listen to Yana’s full conversation with the 360 team on the 360 MAG Podcast HERE.

No stranger to pouring her countries rich history into her designs, we now see Yana’s paintings amongst the traveling exhibition Painting in Excess: Kyiv’s Art Revival, 1985 – 1993,” originally set to be showcased in her homeland of Ukraine.

Engulfed in the world of artistry since before she can remember, Yana often questions whether she had a choice on becoming an artist. Her professional ability has been evident from a young age; with Yana’s mother often telling a story about a painting she created in her adolescence. The piece, showcased at a children’s museum, was suddenly stolen from their home. Yana created the painting at the mere age of three years old.

Having doubted her position as an artist, Yana, too, experimented with differing professions before returning to her craft. She dabbled in design and programming, in which she gained mass success with. Nonetheless, she knew that the corporate environment did not suit her appropriately and went back to her original passion for creating art.

Amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine, Yana has been deeply affected by the destruction to her country. A daunting task, Yana spoke about the devastation she felt from hearing about the Russian invasion when stating, “It is horrible, I was in shock and very disoriented in the beginning [of the war].”

Yana’s thoughts pour into her work, evoking a new era of her works. She finds that her most recent paintings are a version of the distilled reality of the situation at hand. Each hue used in her art represents something deeper than the color wheel could ever encompass, it exemplifies the weight of Ukraine on Yana’s heart.

She often considers the conflict endured by everyone affected by the war; those who have fled and those who are still in the country. The situation at hand in Ukraine has had an everlasting affect on her personal and professional wellbeing.

“[It is] one thing is to be a tourist; another thing is to be a refugee.”

Her latest participation in the new exhibition “Painting in Excess: Kyiv’s Art Revival, 1985 – 1993” was organized a few years back, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Held at the Coral Gables Museum through October of 2022, the showing was originally conceived by the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers. The project embraces a life of its own, taking a new shape and meaning modernly with the tragedy occuring in Ukraine.

Yana utilizes delicate use of color to personify her artistry, creating new narratives. In the way that verbal communication only accounts for a small portion of human interaction, Yana attributes color to bridging these gaps and expressing what cannot be stated in words. Often investigating new mediums for her artistry, Yana carefully crafts art that is theoretical and impactful.

Amongst her upcoming exhibitions, Yana has a New York residency opening on June 3. Entitled “Yana Bystrova: Approaching a Chaotic Reality,” the showing will be held at Gallery Arte Azulejo. A gallery walk will be sported on June 16 as well.

Working out increases blood flow to your brain and can boost the size of your hippocampus, which shrinks as you age. Getting some form of movement for 30 minutes a day can drastically improve your memory and cognition.

Studies have shown benefits from most types of exercise, including aerobics, weight training, yoga, pilates, tai chi and dancing. If you don’t have the time or ability to complete a full workout, start small and break your movement into chunks throughout the day.

  1. Schedule Yearly Exams

Yearly check-ups with your primary care doctor can catch any number of health-related issues. During your appointment, you may undergo a brief neurological exam to assess your balance, mental stability, muscle strength and reflexes. Any problems with these signs or your vitals would tip your provider off to a more significant problem and hopefully get you the early intervention you need.

  1. Watch Cardiovascular Health

Heart conditions can negatively impact brain health. High blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar are risk factors for dementia and other cognitive problems associated with aging. Also, blood clots keep oxygen from getting to parts of the brain and can cause a stroke, which can lead to permanent damage or death.

Regular checkups with your primary care physician and cardiologist can help you gain control over cardiovascular problems.

  1. Get Quality Sleep

One of the best things you can do for your brain is to give it time to repair itself. While you sleep, your brain clears out toxins that can cause Alzheimer’s and dementia. It also converts short-term memories into long-term and clears out any unnecessary information. Getting 7-9 consecutive hours of sleep at night also improves cognition, focus and mood.

To get the best night’s sleep, don’t eat stimulating foods within a few hours of bedtime, turn off electronics an hour before bed and have a consistent nighttime routine designed to help you wind down and go to bed at the same time each night.

  1. Quit Smoking

Smoking negatively affects many of your body’s systems, including your brain. Smokers are more likely to suffer a stroke, dementia and cancer and tend to have more rapid age-related brain volume loss.

The good news is quitting can reverse these adverse effects. Within 5-15 years, most of the increased risks level out with nonsmokers. Stopping this habit as soon as possible limits the potential for severe and lasting health problems.

  1. Protect Your Head

Accidents happen, which is why you need to take extra safety precautions. Head trauma doesn’t even have to cause a concussion to be detrimental to your overall brain health. If you’re in an accident, doctors will perform a diagnostic to check your mental capabilities. Taking a little extra time to buckle your seatbelt or put on a helmet can help you prevent serious head injury and loss of brain function.

Early signs of brain injury include blurred vision, fatigue, nausea, confusion and problems with balance and coordination. Repeat head injuries worsen these problems and can lead to long-term brain problems, including impaired cognition and memory loss.

  1. Limit Alcohol Intake

Compulsive or binge drinking can lead to severe brain health problems. Heavy alcohol consumption changes the brain’s chemistry almost immediately, with slurred speech, decreasing coordination, slow reflexes and lowered inhibitions.

Over time, the chemical changes add up and cause permanent brain damage leading to stroke, poor blood flow to the brain, decreased brain volume, memory problems and mental health issues.

  1. Eat Brain-Healthy Foods

Studies have shown following the Mediterranean diet correlates with a lowered risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s. This way of eating focuses on whole foods, lean meats, healthy fats and plenty of seafood. Healthy fats are a key ingredient for brain health, improving cellular function and keeping it younger for longer. Extra-virgin olive oil, walnuts and fatty fish are just a few great choices.

Foods rich in antioxidants help fight inflammation and improve brain health. Some powerhouse options include blueberries, pumpkin seeds, broccoli and dark chocolate.

  1. Learn Something New

When learning a new skill or improving an old one, your brain creates new connections between cells. These pathways make it difficult for brain disease to work its way in. Engaging your brain and stimulating it builds “muscles” like weight training for our bodies.

Doing a daily crossword, playing a strategy game and reading are easy ways to get your brain working. Stimulating conversations is another good one. Also, you could pick up a new hobby like cooking, gardening or rock climbing. If you have the resources, learning a new language is highly beneficial.

  1. Make Time for Friends and Family

Spending time with a close circle of friends and family can help combat depression, which is known to impact the way your brain functions. Also, socializing stimulates blood flow to different areas of the brain. Chatting with friends could keep your mind young and strong.

Simply talking to and seeing a loved one can help improve your mental and brain health. However, if you want to get the largest benefit, combine socialization with an activity to enhance your brain’s strength. To meet new people, you could join a club or organization that matches your interests or spend some time volunteering.

  1. Manage Mental Health

Your mental health can affect your daily life and your long-term brain health. Everyone deals with stress from time to time, but chronic stress leads to inflammation that can cause permanent brain damage. Combat this by seeing a doctor or therapist in combination with meditation, journaling, yoga and slow outdoor walks.

Depression and anxiety literally change the size of parts of your brain. Depression alone causes the hippocampus to get smaller, which reduces your ability to remember things clearly. Prolonged untreated depression is a risk factor for Alzheimer’s. Depression and anxiety together increase the size of the amygdala, which is responsible for your fight or flight response and emotions, making you more likely to experience panic attacks and other panic disorders.

2023 2023 Toyota Sienna marks the model’s first quarter-century of success and celebrates with a limited-availability 25th Anniversary Edition via 360 MAGAZINE

2023 Toyota Sienna

2023 Toyota Sienna marks the model’s first quarter-century of success and celebrates with a limited-availability 25th Anniversary Edition. Based on the sport-infused XSE grade, the special model gains additional luxury cabin features from the Limited grade and adds exclusive exterior and interior trim. Toyota will build just 2,525 of these models for the U.S., making this a “gotta have it” minivan.

Toyota has sold more than 2.2 million Sienna models since its debut in 1997. The fourth-generation Sienna debuted for the 2021 model year, offering hybrid power exclusively and giving customers the benefit of Toyota’s 20+ years of global hybrid leadership and well documented quality, durability and reliability. The 2023 Sienna lays down impressive numbers. Its Toyota Hybrid System II delivers 245 total system horsepower and earns the vehicle an EPA-estimated 36 combined MPG fuel economy (front-wheel drive).

The Hybrid-exclusive strategy has been a winner for Sienna, which was the top-selling minivan in America for 2021, capturing 35% of the segment. The new-generation Sienna offers the choice in front-wheel drive or Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive, which employs a separate rear electric motor rather than a heavy AWD transfer case and space-robbing driveshaft to the rear wheels. As a result, EPA-estimated combined fuel economy is 35 MPG, nearly matching the 36 combined MPG for front wheel drive.

Happy Silver Anniversary

The ultra-sporty XSE model on which the 25th Anniversary Edition amps up the sporty factor with available dark 20-in. split-5-spoke wheels, bolder looking front and rear bumpers, black-painted caps and a sport-tuned suspension that are unique to the XSE. The Sienna 25th Anniversary Edition is available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and includes the XSE Plus Package, which equips the Sienna 25th Anniversary Edition with roof rails, Premium Audio with JBL speakers and navigation, wireless charging and a 1500-watt converter.

Appropriately for the occasion, the Sienna  25th Anniversary Edition is available in Celestial Silver, with Wind Chill Pearl as a second color choice. Special black badging and exterior trim, including mirrors caps and shark fin antenna, accents the two available exterior colors.

From there, this celebration model adds a slew of features from the Limited grade, including the exterior mirrors with memory, auto-dimming, puddle lights, power-fold and reverse-tilt down function. Inside, the Limited also donates black leather-trimmed seating with silver-colored stitching, including heated and ventilated front seats with memory. The Limited’s memory steering column and second-row seats with ottomans enhance onboard comfort, and illuminated door sills greet front occupants. Special “25th Anniversary” floormats treat the feet, and an exclusive black key fob cover with silver-colored stitching features a “25th Anniversary” badge.

Sienna’s Journey

As minivans entered the market and gained popularity in the eighties and nineties, Toyota first imported its rear-drive Van and then the more market-suitable Previa. Meanwhile, Toyota was preparing a much more focused entry, and it arrived for 1998: the Sienna.

The Sienna proved to be right on target for the market, and through each design generation has evolved to a state of family vehicle perfection. Here’s a look at how it got there.

First-Generation: 1998-2003

Designed expressly for the U.S. market, the 1998 Sienna was assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. in Georgetown, Kentucky. Toyota called the first Sienna “The Camry of Minivans,” and for good reasons. Firstly, it was based on a larger version of the Camry’s front-wheel drive platform, which ensured an excellent balance of handling agility and ride comfort. Also, the Sienna was designed to give buyers the same combination of quality, user-friendly operation and value that had made the Camry so popular.

The first Sienna was 193.5 inches long on a 114-inch wheelbase, making it easy to maneuver and park. The powertrain paired a 3.0-liter, 194-horsepower V6 with a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. The 1998-2003 Sienna had an EPA-estimated 17 city MPG / 23 highway MPG / 19 combined MPG fuel economy ratings.

The Sienna offered the choice of 7- or 8-seat configurations and provided renowned Toyota value in CE, LE and XLE grades. A driver’s side sliding rear door was standard on LE and XLE and optional for CE, and the XLE offered optional leather-trimmed seats.

Toyota engineered the first Sienna with the safety that family van buyers sought. Anti-lock brakes were standard, and Sienna was one of the few vans at the time to offer available front seat-mounted side torso airbags and Vehicle Stability Control. The first Sienna achieved the highest rating (“Good”) in all six IIHS frontal crash tests.

Second-Generation: 2004-2010

Customers loved the first-gen Sienna so much, they wanted more … more room, more versatility, more power and more safety. The second-gen Sienna for 2004 delivered on all counts. The chief engineer for the new model, Yuji Yokoya, and his family drove a first-gen Sienna throughout North America and met with minivan owners to gain a deeper understanding of how owners used these vehicles in daily life. Influenced by that input, the second-gen Sienna introduced for 2004 grew significantly to offer more room and versatility. Wheelbase and length both increased by five inches, and the new Sienna was also four inches wider and 1.6 inches higher than the first-generation model.

The second-gen Sienna debuted an all-wheel drive option, and the Sienna would remain the only minivan to offer AWD for many years. All models gained a 3.3-liter V6 with 230 horsepower, teamed to a new 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings increased to 17/25/20 EPA-estimated MPG for the front-wheel drive model.

Seating and cargo room increased all around. Notably, as minivans were frequently used for trips to warehouse stores, the Sienna could now easily carry 4×8-foot sheets of plywood. The second-gen Sienna debuted a luxurious new Limited trim. And, recognizing the value of keeping passengers entertained, Toyota offered an optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system with two 110V outlets.

In the safety category, side curtain airbags, optional on certain 2004-2005 trims, became standard on all for 2006. Vehicle Stability Control was made standard for all models in 2008. Continuous evolution brought new features such as Bluetooth wireless tech for hands-free phone use and music streaming, a power-folding third row, rear view camera, rear parking sensors and navigation. For 2007, the Sienna received a 266-horsepower 3.5-liter V6.

Third Generation: 2011-2019

The third-generation Sienna introduced for 2011 ushered in a bolder design, along with a growing roster of luxury and tech features. The design emerged from Toyota’s CALTY studios, with engineering handled by Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as in Japan. Sized the same as the second-gen Sienna, the new model added versatility.

A new 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine became standard but was discontinued after two years. The 3.5-liter V6 continued and was paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. For 2018, power jumped to 296 horsepower with the addition of Toyota’s D4-S direct fuel injection, and an eight-speed automatic replaced the six-speed. EPA fuel economy estimates with this combination were 18 city / 24 highway / 20 combined.

Standard features included three-zone climate control, three power ports, power door locks and remote keyless entry. As a fun surprise, a new SE model grade added some sport sedan verve to the driving experience. Front styling was even bolder, with side skirting that visually lowered the vehicle and smoked taillights that made a distinctive statement. Specially tuned suspension, revised steering and 19-inch alloy wheels boosted agility and driving engagement. This was the minivan with attitude.

The third-gen Sienna brought a major advance in active safety for 2015 with optional Pre-Collision System and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) was made standard for all model grades in 2018. TSS-P included Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Automatic High Beams.

Additional safety features included a rear-view camera with 180-degree view, driver’s knee airbag and Toyota Safety Connect. On the luxury and user tech side, the Smart Key System with Push-Button Start added new convenience, and the available second-row sliding Lounge Seating could slide up to 23 inches rearward to open up enormous legroom.

The Sienna’s Entune 3.0 multimedia system included a live-traffic map, while the higher grades also featured Wi-Fi connectivity for up to five devices. An available 11.6-inch dual-view rear seat entertainment system was a real passenger pleaser.

Fourth Generation: 2020-

Toyota reimagined the fourth-generation Sienna to support a wider array of life stages and activities than the typical minivan. That included answering the call for more luxury, multimedia and outdoors-amenable features.

Assembled in the U.S., the fourth-generation Sienna was designed by the combined effort of CALTY’s Newport Beach, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, studios. It is built around an all-new minivan structure based on Toyota’s versatile TNGA-K Platform architecture, and the evocative design was influenced by the bold and robust character of SUVs.

The Sienna delivers a confident, agile driving experience with exemplary ride comfort, thanks in large part to the TNGA-K Platform combined with a trailing-arm multi-link rear suspension. The sporty XSE and lavish Platinum grades fill their wheel wells with standard 20-inch aluminum clad wheels with P235/50R20 tires for FWD. (All-Wheel Drive versions have 18-inch wheels.)

The 2023 Sienna line includes LE, XLE, sporty XSE, outdoors-oriented Woodland Edition, luxurious Limited and ultra-plush Platinum trims. The Woodland Edition introduced for 2022 combines adventure-inspired rugged styling, a standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive System and increased ground clearance to take family fun further afield.

The 2023 Sienna offers many available premium features across the model line (depending on model grade), such as kick-open and closed sliding side doors and rear gate, four-zone climate control system, heated second-row Super-Long Slide captain’s chairs with ottomans, power tilt and telescoping steering column with heated steering wheel, 10-in. color head-up display and 12-speaker JBL® Premium Audio system.

All 2023 Sienna models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (TSS 2.0), a comprehensive active safety system that includes:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Lane Tracing Assist
  • Road Sign Assist

The Sienna LE and some XLE models come equipped in 8-seat configurations with a stowable middle seat. The Super-Long Slide second-row captain’s chairs in some 7-seat models slide 25 inches, providing ample legroom and flexibility to maximize comfort, especially when used with the available ottoman feature. (Standard for 25th Anniversary Edition, Limited and Platinum and available for certain others.)

Cutting-edge visibility tech and the available Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan provides a live, 360-degree view to help the driver see potential obstacles.

The 2023 Sienna offers a smorgasbord of connectivity and entertainment, with versatile Toyota Audio systems providing something for everyone. The base Toyota Audio system in the LE grade is jam-packed with features, including a 9-in. touchscreen, six speakers, Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa compatibility, seven USB media ports, hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology, SiriusXM® with 3-month Platinum Plan trial subscription and Safety Connect® with 1-year trial and Wi-Fi Connect with up to 3 GB within a one-month trial.

And, did we mention an up to EPA-estimated 36 combined MPG rating and available Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive. That is the anatomy of a minivan innovator and leader.
