Chloe speaks passionately to the song’s message of empowerment:

‘Come This Far’ is for anyone who has faced adversity. For anyone who has come from nothing… struggled and fought for their voice to be heard. For anyone who has manifested their own path and created their own destiny. I want anyone who hears this song to experience two minutes and fifty-seven seconds of bold faced encouragement to achieve every single one of their wildest dreams and then some.”

On Tuesday May 22, she makes a triumphant return to the season finale of NBC’s The Voice in order to perform the song for the first time on network television.

Nashville native Chloe Kohanski was the season 13 winner of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning “The Voice.” She captured the hearts of millions on the show, but this was no overnight sensation. From the time she was a young girl, Chloe always wanted to pursue music. The road wasn’t easy. Early on she fronted several local bands but nothing ever seemed to stick. Chloe took a leap faith and auditioned for “The Voice,” season 13. Since winning the show, it has been a nonstop whirlwind. Currently, Chloe is in the studio working on her debut release. The new music will showcase her distinctly raspy vocal style and pay tribute to her rock and roll heroes. Stay tuned for new music via Republic Records soon.

Why Dakota’s Thriving Economy Could Be a Good Bet

There are a number of factors that help decide whether a location is likely to be prosperous should you decide to set up home there. A recent study by Play USA took a look at all 52 states in the US and came up with a list of the ones that are thriving economically.

While states such as Alaska and Nevada may not be worth the gamble, you might be surprised to find that North Dakota, Washington and Massachusetts made it to the top of the table. All three have the fastest economic growth over the last decade and, according to the research, could well be pretty good places to settle down.

It’s long been known that the state of the economy in the location where you live is closely linked to your potential financial wellbeing. If you’re tempted by the prospect of the big city, however, you may be perplexed to find that New York lags a way behind states such as North Dakota.

The research looked at different parameters including growth in GDP, the rise in students going to college and percentage increases in house prices. Along with the number of new business that have started over the last ten years and levels of household income and employment opportunities, the list gives a good idea which states are currently the most prosperous in a purely economic sense.

The Top Five States With the Best Economic Prospects

  1. North Dakota: With a growth of 5.83% in new businesses and GDP up by 7.36%, it’s a surprise to find this state on the list. Growth has been driven by the oil industry over the last decade and this has led to a strong economic profile compared to many other states.

  2. Washington: Employment is up by just over 3% in the Garden State and household income has increased by 3.39% over the last ten years, some of which has been driven by the development in the information sector.

  3. Massachusetts: The state has seen a 3.42% increase in college admissions, which usually means that economic health is good, as well as boost to GDP of over 4%. Local household income took a big rise just before the financial crisis and jumped up 6%. Overall, it’s risen by 3.69% in the last ten years.

  4. California: You might expect this state to be on the list and that’s born out by a college admission growth of over 7%. Employment has also increased in a pretty healthy manner and is up by 3.35%.

  5. Missouri: Another surprise on the list, a 5.46% rise in new businesses indicates this state is the place to set up a company. Much of this has been due to high tech industries moving into the area.

The research was carried out using 6 measurements that point to good economic health between 2007 and 2018. You can view the full infographic on the Play USA website as well as download more detailed information about the performance of different states.

ALEX DA KID RELEASES NEW SINGLE “GO”

FEATURING H.E.R. & RAPSODY, AN ARTIST DISCOVERED WITH THE HELP OF AI

THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF SINGLES TO BE RELEASED SOON

NEW YORK, NY (May 18, 2018) — Continuing a tradition of blazing trails and breaking ground, Emmy® and GRAMMY® Award-winning music producer, songwriter, and KIDinaKORNER C.E.O./Founder Alex Da Kidmakes history once again.

In partnership with IBM and Spotify, Alex’s latest single, entitled “Go,” features an artist discovered with the help of IBM’s AI technology, Watson.

Get the song HERE via Republic Records.

The creation of “Go” sets a new standard for the music industry at large. To identify the perfect artist for his collaboration—rather than employ century-old A&R methods or spend countless hours casing the internet for new voices—Alex enlisted the help of IBM Watson. The technology allowed Alex to work smarter and more efficiently to uncover talent, changing the concept of A&R forever.

Initially, critically acclaimed songstress H.E.R. jumped at the chance to join forces with Alex. With those two key pieces in place, IBM proved instrumental in finding the song’s missing piece.

IBM Developer, Joshua Carr, worked closely with Alex to gain insight into his vision and sensibility to drive discovery. Carr created a custom Watson solution to aid Alex’s search. A technology and entertainment industry first, Watson learned the language of music from the producer’s natural speech.

Based on a subset of Spotify data, provided by Tim Ganss of Spotify Music Intelligence, Watson pored over enormous amounts of unstructured data like articles, social media, interviews and fan sentiment to help Alex uncover Rapsody as the best artist for his new track. From the tiny town of Snow Hill, North Carolina, Rapsody is known for her intricate rhyme patterns, metaphors, and wordplay.

Now, the vibrant and vital “Go” comes to life as an organic union between Alex, H.E.R., Rapsody, and the Watson Artist Discovery Tool and a game-changing moment.

This is the first in the series of numerous singles to be released soon. Stay tuned for more very soon.

Royal Wedding Cars

The British have always understood that a royal wedding is about more than tradition and pageantry. It’s also a chance to show off United Kingdom industry, especially its cars.

The wedding Saturday between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became the latest chance to display some of the very best out of the royal garage, both vintage and modern.

That means storied British names like Rolls-Royce and Bentley for the bride and the royal family.

Of course, these days the world’s auto industry is more complicated. Rolls-Royce is owned by Germany’s BMW. Bentley is part of Volkswagen. And Jaguar and Land Rover are part of India’s Tata Motors.

In everyday life, Harry has been seen driving other European brands in recent years, like a German Audi.

St. George’s Chapel

Everyone is talking about the royal wedding. The dress, the bouquet, the beautiful couple – the list goes on. But, if St George’s Chapel isn’t on your list, it should be. It is considered as one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Its elaborate stone fan vaulting is hailed as being one of the best in the world. St George’s Chapel at Winsdor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. St George’s is governed by the Dean and Canons of Winsdor and it seats approximately 800 people.

The chapel was established in the 14th century by King Edward III and it has been the location of many royal ceremonies, weddings and burials. The Chapel is located in the Lower Ward.

Royal Wedding Bouquet

Prince Harry played a huge role in preparing for Meghan Markle’s bouquet as he had picked some of the flowers himself from their private garden at Kensington Palace. The bouquet was designed by florist Philippa Craddock. What’s really sweet is that Prince Harry had included some of Princess Diana’s favorite flowers. Forget-Me-Nots were chosen by the couple to be included as a part of their wedding in the loving memory of Princess Diana. Other flowers that were seen in the bouquet were sweet peas, lily of the valley, astilbe, jasmine, astrantia, and myrtle (a royal tradition). The flowers were delicately bound together by a raw silk ribbon.

Royal Wedding

Below is an exclusive first-hand commentary from royal wedding expert and British bridal designer, Caroline Castigliano, who was on-site at Windsor Castle covering the royal wedding. She has included commentary on her thoughts of Meghan’s wedding dress and how it compares to past Royal wedding gowns.

What do you think of the outfit overall – dress, veil/tiara, shoes etc?

We have been counting down the days speculating the Royal dress designer and Meghan has made her moment in history wearing Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller…

Meghan has made her entrance in a minimal gown and have certainly differentiated herself from Kate who did it all in lace! Meghan has brought the splendor here with a long veil…

Meghan looks thoroughly modern with her choice of gown and has given her nod to the Royal family and Queen by following the Royal tradition of covering her shoulders and a long sleeve! She entered St Georges Chapel – a moment of history in a simplistic style…

The dress is a boat neck wedding dress is a wonderful style. It’s a wide neckline that follows the curve of the collarbone and ends at the shoulders.

Her hair is gorgeous in a low swept bun!

Meghan is a fresh young American with a million dollar smile the cameras love and she looks fantastic entering the British establishment in a fantastic gown.

Meghan is going into a family that has been seen in the public eye for 1,000 years and has definitely made her mark with this wedding gown…which is quite remarkable in the way it’s so simplistic compared to other dressed we have seen on Diana and Kate!

Meghan has had the World in suspense with what she will wear, and with such high expectations on her she has not failed to disappoint…

Meghan has certainly created a name for herself fashion wise – she is following in the footsteps of Diana who was a fashion icon in the public eye for 16 years… and has done a fabulous modern job!

Royal brides are normally expected to support British designers in the UK rather than choosing designer abroad but Meghan has gone with a French luxury design house here which is a different choice from other Royal brides…

The whole wedding is picture perfect and fairytale like with all of the bridesmaids looking fabulous!

Is it what you expected/predicated?

I believed the gown would be a very straight, fitted dress, with a big 9-foot train coming off the dress from the side to create the drama. I did think she would have a bit of lace and there is some lace detailing on the veils.

I predicted Meghan would have some kind of edge to her wedding dress, but I was certain Meghan’s dress would be classic, elegant with traditional features. I predicted Meghan would give a big nod to the Queen and Royal family with covered shoulders, a long sleeve and high back. But I was expecting Meghan would show her personality by wearing a fitted dress and we haven’t seen a Royal wearing a fitted gown for a long while… I thought a fitted gown would be the way Meghan showed her personality alongside respecting Royal tradition when it comes to Royal gowns. The gown is certainly more fitted than other brides we have seen!

Initially we thought the gown would be Ralph & Russo, but the brand has been in the press a great deal ahead of the wedding, which is an unusual move if they were actually the designer. Ralph & Russo gowns are super expensive so wearing a 100k gown may have seemed ostentations to the public.

Yesterday, our bets were on Stella McCartney, but as Oprah and Amal Clooney both arrived wearing Stella, that was a surprise to us and we thought it must be a different designer if they are wearing Stella… I thought Stella was such a perfect for Meghan as Stella used organic fabrics and her ethos is very much the same as Meghan!

Meghan has totally surprised us wearing Claire Waight, Givenchy! This was totally not talked about in the press at all and they kept it all top secret!

How does it compare to the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress?

The Duchess of Cambridge’s dress was one of lace decorum – she looked super elegant as a bride and Kate gave us a Royal dress to remember.

Meghan has totally differentiated her style here by wearing a plain gown rather than lace and the shaping is totally different as well!

Meghan has a totally different style to Kate when it comes to her hair, Kate loves a good blow dry whereas Meghan prefers wearing her hair up!

Is the dress similar to any other royal wedding gowns? (eg Kate’s was compared to Princess Grace of Monaco’s.)

Kate Middleton’s gown took a style lead from Grace Kelly’s dress, the intricate applique bodice and sleeves of Catherine’s mirrored the wedding. The similarities don’t end there, both gowns shared a high-waist, full-skirt and a long dramatic train and both wore a sheer veil and diamond tiara!

I would say that Meghan has gone quite, Wallis Simpson (almost royalty) – Wallis dress was designed by Mainbocher, it was very modern in its time, much like the look Meghan has gone for. The gown was made of a crepe silk and featured a long slim skirt much like Meghan has gone for here! Wallis was known has a fashion weapon and was a super glamorous art deco women!

How does Meghan’s dress compare to the one she wore in Suits and the dress at her first wedding?

This is the first time we’ve seen a Royal bride very publicly in a wedding gown – since Meghan’s on screen character Rachel on Suits got married. Meghan’s gown is totally the opposite to what we saw in Suits, which was a v-neck gown by Anne Barge, an Atlanta based designer. Her wedding look in Suits was quite bohemian and Princess like compared with Meghan’s demure look today! In complete contrast the wedding gown on Suits was beaded and accessorized with a black belt and Meghan has gone the total opposite today with a minimal accessories and a plain look! Her gown in Suits was certainly sassy but she has had to please the Queen and country today and opt for tradition!
