The Game Show "Password" Returns with Jimmy Fallon and Keke Palmer via NBC for use by 360 MAGAZINE

NBC – PASSWORD

Legendary game show “Password” returns to NBC with a fresh new edition starring Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Keke Palmer along with a stellar lineup of celebrity guests including: Yvette Nicole Brown, Tony Hale, Jon Hamm, Chelsea Handler, Heidi Klum, Joel McHale, Chrissy Metz, Martin Short, J.B. Smoove and Meghan Trainor.

The series kicks off with a two-night premiere event on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock. The premiere features Fallon and Hamm competing in an episode dedicated to the late Betty White, a frequent player of the game and wife of the original “Password” host Allen Ludden.

In each of the hour-long episodes, a celebrity and Fallon will pair up with contestants over two games. Players from each team guess a secret password using only one-word clues in an effort to take home up to $25,000.

The season also features legacy contestants from 1980’s versions of “Password” as they try their luck once again to see if they still have what it takes to win.

Password” in recent years found a new generation of fans on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The trailblazing series established itself as the original celebrity word game when it launched in 1961 and showcased hundreds of celebrity guests and generated several spinoffs over the course of six decades. NBC revived the show in 1979 and 1984 prior to becoming a hit game on both “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “The Tonight Show.”

Password” is produced by Fremantle in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Electric Hot Dog. Jimmy Fallon, Jim Juvonen, and Fremantle serve as executive producers along with John Quinn, who also serves as showrunner.

Kae Tempest × Kevin Abstract – More Pressure

British spoken word artist, rapper, poet, novelist, and playwright Kae Tempest revealed their new single “More Pressure” with Kevin Abstract. The song is from their upcoming album The Line Is a Curve set for release on April 8th via American Recordings/Republic Records. It is the fourth album from the Lewisham-based artist and has been produced by long-term collaborator Dan Carey alongside executive production by Rick Rubin.

The Line Is a Curve follows Tempest’s widely adored 2019 album The Book of Traps & Lessons, which received praise from the likes of NPR, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, and many more, and saw Kae perform live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Tempest and Abstract’s shared friend and collaborator Rick Rubin played The Book of Traps & Lessons in his studio, and they had reached out to Kae afterward to thank them for the inspiration, leading to the exciting collaboration on “More Pressure.” The Line Is A Curve also follows Tempest’s critically acclaimed 2021 play Paradise, which premiered at the National Theatre in London last year.

About The Album

After the experience of touring The Book of Traps & Lessons around the U.S., U.K., and Europe, Tempest realized that they wanted The Line Is a Curve to be a communicative record. The concept manifested itself both in the contributions of other artists—including the aforementioned Kevin Abstract, Lianne La Havas, Grian Chatten of Fontaines DC, ássia, and Confucius MC—and during the recording process, when Tempest decided to do three vocal takes in one day, to three different generations of people; “a man of 78 who I’d never met, a woman of 29, the poet Bridget Minamore, who is a good friend of mine, and then to three young fans of 12, 15, and 16 who had responded to a social media post.”

Featuring artwork shot by renowned photographer Wolfgang Tillmans (Frank Oceans’ blond), the album is best described by Tempest themselves:

“‘The Line Is a Curve’ is about letting go. Of shame, anxiety, isolation, and falling instead into surrender. Embracing the cyclical nature of time, growth, love. This “letting go” can hopefully be felt across the record. In the musicality, the instrumentation, the lyricism, the delivery, the cover art. In the way it ends where it begins and begins where it ends. I knew I wanted my face on the sleeve. Throughout the duration of my creative life, I have been hungry for the spotlight and desperately uncomfortable in it. For the last couple of records, I wanted to disappear completely from the album covers, the videos, the front-facing aspects of this industry. A lot of that was about my shame but I masked it behind a genuine desire for my work to speak for itself, without me up front, commodifying what felt so rare to me and sacred. I was, at times, annoyed that in order to put the work out, I had to put myself out. But this time around, I understand it differently. I want people to feel welcomed into this record, by me, the person who made it, and I have let go of some of my airier concerns. I feel more grounded in what I’m trying to do, who I am as an artist and as a person and what I have to offer. I feel less shame in my body because I am not hiding from the world anymore. I wanted to show my face, and I dreamed of it being Wolfgang Tillmans who took the portrait.”

About Kae Thompson

With four studio albums, a novel, their first work of non-fiction (On Connection), three plays, and five collections of poetry to their name, Kae Tempest has firmly established themselves as one of the most unique, thought-provoking, and critically acclaimed voices of their generation. With the release of The Line Is a Curve in 2022, that reputation is only set to grow exponentially.

Questlove × The Balvenie

Quest for Craft, a new digital series created by Questlove in partnership with The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky, debuts today. The series explores the convergence of craft and creativity, and in episode one, Questlove is joined by Saturday Night Live comedian Michael Che to explore the theme of chaos and discuss how unpredictability and disorder play a role in their respective crafts.

You can watch the full first episode on The Balvenie’s YouTube page

Questlove shares his thoughts on the debut episode, saying “What is chaos? When we say the word, we think of what’s unregulated, uncontrollable, surprising. Most artists and craftspeople say that they want to avoid it. But should they? In this episode, I talk to the Saturday Night Live co-head writer and stand-up comedian Michael Che, and the two of us look at the ways in which chaos can be a fuel for creativity.”

The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been perfecting the craft of whisky making for nearly 130 years, remaining fascinated by the creative processes and deep intrinsic values that elevate something from great to exceptional.

“I share a synergistic passion with The Balvenie on the importance of inspiration, passion and dedication to creativity and the making process. Our partnership is founded on an exploration into creative minds that invest their time, focus, and soul and into creating something singular and distinctive,” said Questlove. “Quest for Craft is about the pursuit of ultimate craftsmanship. In each episode, I dive deep into conversation with creatives who I have admired for their unique perspective, process, and productivity.”

Season One of Quest for Craft:

Common × Seun Kuti × Black Thought – When We Move

Seun Kuti, son of Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti and an Afrobeat legend in his own right, accompanied superstar American rappers Common and Black Thought on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 19th.

The trio debuted “When We Move,” the first single from Common’s upcoming album A Beautiful Revolution (Pt. 2), available September 10th. The track features Seun as a vocalist and saxophonist alongside Black Thought, cofounder and MC of The Tonight Show house band The Roots. A sequel to the 2020 release of A Beautiful Revolution (Pt. 1), Pt. 2 highlights talents such as multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Brittany Howard, singer PJ, guitarist and singer Marcus King, guitarist Isaiah Sharkey, and poet Morgan Parker.

Seun joined the studio performance at Rockefeller Plaza virtually from the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, Nigeria, where he played live. Founded by Fela, the original Afrika Shrine was a club that served as a cultural gathering spot from its 1972 opening until his death in 1997. The Kuti family built the New Afrika Shrine in 2000, creating a newer and larger community hub in the same ethos as the Shrine.

Led by Fela’s daughter Yeni, The New Shrine features weekly performances from his son Femi and monthly performances from Seun alongside Egypt 80, his father’s former band that he now leads. It is also the host of Felabration, a weeklong music festival created in memory of Fela and held during his birthday annually. The 24/7 venue is a massive draw for visiting musicians, including Bootsy Collins, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Skepta, and Bono.

Merging the history of African jazz, soul, and funk music with the contemporary hip hop and rap scene, Seun and Common celebrate the longstanding influence of Black culture. While Pt. 1 was intended to “channel all of our pain and outrage into something productive, inspirational, and good,” said Common to Rolling Stone. “Pt. 2 was created with hope and inspiration in mind,” said his recent statement. “The spirit of the album was meant to emulate what a greater day would sound and feel like.”

With Marvel’s 4D experience, guests can feel a part of the movie with 3D film technologies including experiential sensory effects. Viewers are put in the middle of the action when viewing this incredible 4D film. Feel the wind and water, and even smells the same scents at the same time as your favorite heroes in the movie.

Guests are invited to face their greatest nightmares in the Coney Island Carnival Carnage Game. This 7D, multi-sensory experience invites guests to shoot lasers at enemies, ride carnival attractions, and spin the Wheel of Misfortune–all while running from killer clowns. This adrenaline-packed nightmare promises a rich gaming experience that may keep you awake at night–that is, if you can escape.

All of Madame Tussauds’ zones and experiences allow guests to get up more close and personal with their favorite Hollywood celebrities and figures than ever before. Madame Tussauds is available for group visits, school visits, corporate events, and even birthday parties. We went on a Friday afternoon, and had a blast exploring the five stories of experiential fun. The figures we found most lifelike were Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. All three figures of Michael Jackson impressed us, and we loved seeing his evolution through time. Our favorite zone was Ghostbusters– the subway set mirrored NYC’s own actual subways, which felt both surreal and cinematic. Those interested in visiting Madame Tussauds can visit this website for ticket purchase and further details. The wax museum is currently operating at reduced capacity and is following all COVID-19 protocols.

Teyana Taylor * New Album

TEYANA TAYLOR RELEASES THE ALBUM TODAY VIA G.O.O.D. MUSIC/DEF JAM RECORDINGS.

Teyana Taylor has dropped her highly anticipated third LP, THE ALBUM, today via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings. THE ALBUM features special guests Rick Ross, Erykah Badu, Quavo, Missy Elliott, Future, Big Sean & more.

Stream THE ALBUM HERE

Tapped by Pitchfork as one of the “most anticipated albums of the summer, THE ALBUM also features Teyana’s new graduation anthem “Made It,” pegged by NPR as a “a triumphant, isolation-proof anthem for the Class of 2020,” the Janet Jackson-approved viral sensation “Bare Wit Me” the Kanye West-produced “We Got Love.” and “How You Want It? (HYWI?)” featuring King Combs.

Since 2018’s KTSE, Teyana’s star has continued to rise; from her successful career as video director and continued investment in her production company, The Aunties, to her acting and modeling career, to a string of scintillating self-directed singles and videos, including “Morning” with Kehlani. THE ALBUM is poised to take her to the next level.

THE ALBUM is the highly anticipated successor to K.T.S.E. (June 2018), Teyana’s second album, one of the five G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam albums produced by Kanye West during his 2018 sojourn in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. K.T.S.E. (acronym for Keep That Same Energy) set off an 18-month chain reaction for Teyana, starting with its summertime Top 10 R&B smash “Gonna Love Me.” She performed “Gonna Love Me” (in a medley with “Rose In Harlem,”another K.T.S.E. track) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Hip-hop audiences embraced the “Gonna Love Me” remix featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon, whose video was directed by Teyana. K.T.S.E. spun off a hot new single and video for Teyana in early 2019, the explicit “WTP (Work This P***y).”The video was nominated for “Best Dance Performance” at the 32nd annual BET Soul Train Awards. The third single from K.T.S.E. was the evocative “Issues/Hold On.” After slaying the audience with the song live on Ellen in April 2019, Teyana was surprised on-air when Ellen presented her with the RIAA gold award plaque for “Gonna Love Me,” bringing it all full circle.

About TEYANA TAYLOR:

Being a jack of trades has enabled Teyana Taylor to become a master of all. From her smoky melodic vocals to her dynamic dance moves, the R&B superstar entertainer dips in dives between her talents as singer, songwriter, producer, director, dancer/choreographer, actor, fitness guru, model, and mother. When it comes to describing herself, the Harlem native can only think of one word: Everything.

“I literally can do everything. I never look at anything as being impossible,” she explains. “I exhaust all options to make what happen when I need to make happen.” Her mantra made her an early favorite to artists like Pharrell, who she signed her first deal with, and later choreographed videos for artists like Beyoncé and Jay-Z. In 2014, Teyana’s love for the arts and R&B earned her the title of the first woman signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.

Between R&B’s identity crisis in the 2010s, Teyana dropped her debut album VII, with tracks like “Maybe” (featuring Yo Gotti and Pusha T) and the sultry “Just Different” shaping her musical persona. The critically acclaimed album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 2014, cementing her position in today’s modern R&B field. “I fought for that raw, hood necessary R&B and now I feel like it’s better than ever,” she says.

After spicing up the R&B charts, Teyana was blessed with the arrival of her daughter Junie with husband and NBA star Iman Shumpert in 2015. “I do all of this for my baby. She’s who I do it for,” she says about Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., her main source of inspiration. “I always show her how to be a leader and a businesswoman. I want her to believe that she can be anything she wants to be and it not be a shocker that she’s a female doing it all.” Soon after, Teyana went on to star in the internet-breaking video for Kanye West’s “Fade,” and scored her first MTV Moonman for “Best Choreography” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

But it wasn’t until the release of her second album project K.T.S.E.(released June 2018) that the world caught up with Teyana’s talents. With her all-female production company The Aunties, Teyana self-directed videos for “WTP,” the RIAA gold-selling single “Gonna Love Me,” (whose remix features Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon), and recently, “Issues/Hold On.”

Teyana has also directed videos for her peers like T.I. (“You”), Monica (“Commitment”), and Lil Duval (“Pull Up” featuring Ty Dolla $ign) with fans like Ms. Lauryn Hill and Elton John praising her boss moves. Part of what makes Teyana stand out from the rest is her ability to move with precision and poise in everything she does.

From the studio to the stage, every idea is a project with the singer front and center with a vision all her own. With her musical inspirations like Aaliyah, Teena Marie, Mint Condition and Janet Jackson speaking to her soul, Teyana is aware her mission is larger than life. “I’m working on me every day and I think that’s my purpose,” she says, comparing her life to a never-ending book. “I’m still going, still mastering and being a better me.”
