Indie Rights Acquires UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Indie Rights has acquired the Sci-Fi Parody Adventure Feature Film “UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!,” which features over forty former “Star Trek” cast members, for domestic distribution and will represent the film for foreign sales with a launch at the 1st Virtual Cannes Film Market, announced husband and wife team Writer/Director Steven L. Fawcette and Producer Angelique Fawcette, of Archangel Films LA, who also stars in the film.

“Indie Rights is so excited to be featuring ‘UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!’ at Virtual Cannes. We’ll be screening the film for international buyers on June 24th. Snoop Dogg and Star Trek fans will love this plant-based, inter-galactic parody,” said Linda Nelson, CEO, Indie Rights.

Kevin Carlson voices the star of “UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!,” Kirk Stillwood, a puppet created by the Chiodo Brothers (who created all the “Team America: World Police” puppets). The film also features over forty former “Star Trek” actors from all the “Trek” series and “Trek” movies, a historic number of “Star Trek” stars and guest-stars in one film.

“UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!” is a Sci-Fi Parody Adventure which follows the crazy exploits of four off-beat astronauts (one is a marionette) who travel to the Moon on a rescue mission to determine the fate of two Space Agency comrades who have not been heard from in several days. The individuals they find at the Lunar Base are not whom they appear to be and nearly succeed in killing our heroes. Soon the astronauts find themselves trying to save the Earth from an invasion of Killer Plant Aliens.

“It has been a tremendous honor to produce ‘UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!’ and to be able to be intentionally inclusive and share a powerful message of true diversity within our film, in front of and behind the camera. We are immensely grateful for the actors, actresses, and crew who made a choice to join us on this amazing journey. Throughout the arduous wait, and the ups and downs, we are now also very grateful to Indie Rights for believing in our little-big film,” said Angelique Fawcette.

“UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!” also features Snoop Dogg as “Major LeGrande Bushe,” Michael Madsen as “The President,” and cameos by Gilbert Gottfried, Robert Davi as voice of “The Gardener of Fricken Forever”, a secret Marvel-style scene with Sam Asghari, Casper Smart, and Nadia Lanfranconi, and introducing Katarina Van Derham, Angelique Fawcette, and Singer/Songwriter Emily L. Stanton.

“I wrote the first draft screenplay of ‘UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!’ in college back in 1977, never realizing it would be with me to this day. Now it’s a testament to always listen to that inner voice, dismiss the naysayers, and will dreams to life. As an original “Star Trek” fan, it was a surreal experience and an honor to direct so many of these wonderful actors who I’ve admired for decades.

“‘UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!’ was made for the millions of “Trek” fans around the world, with fond memories and mad respect for Gene Roddenberry’s creation,” said Steven L. Fawcette, writer/director/executive producer.

The “UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!” original score is written and composed by the Emmy Award Winning (“Roots, pt. 1”), Oscar Nominated, TOS Trek composer Gerald Fried. Fried is the last living composer from the original ‘Star Trek’ series.

“We are grateful for our composer, Gerald Fried, who is 92 years old now, and for the 29-live piece orchestra who created most of the music for our soundtrack. Music is an important part of any film, and we are thrilled to announce that ahead of the film’s release, we’ll be releasing a song from our film titled, ‘After Today’ written and arranged by recording artist and actress, Emily L. Stanton,” said Angelique Fawcette.

On the 50th Anniversary of the debut of the Original Star Trek Series, September 7, 2016, an early cut of “UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!” as a work-in-progress was privately screened for the cast, crew, and investors at a SRO event at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

“I am thankful that we were able to have the early advance screening of a work-in-progress cut of ‘UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!’ on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the original “Star Trek” series back in 2016. Since then we have unfortunately lost Celeste Yarnall and Jack Donner. These were incredibly wonderful and talented people to work with. Thankfully, we have memories of them via film, for their families and fans,” said Steven L. Fawcette.

About Seth Rudetsky

Seth moved to New York in 1988 and started volunteering for God’s Love We Deliver, which brings meals to people with AIDS all across the city. He is decidedly not skilled at cooking and soon decided his talents could be better used elsewhere. At a holiday party in 1992, he connected with Hearts and Voices, an organization that brings live weekly performances to hospitalized people with AIDS. He started volunteering for them and has been a mainstay at many hospitals since 1992: Rivington House, Roosevelt Island Hospital, the prison ward at St. Clare’s Hospital and since 2005, he’s been playing the piano/booking singers at the Cardinal Cooke AIDS ward. Broadway folks love volunteering to sing and Seth’s patients have been serenaded by the likes of Audra MacDonald, Tituss Burgess and Betty Buckley! In 1998, Seth was asked to write the opening number for The Easter Bonnet Competition, which is the big spring fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. He did that for many years and then began hosting the Gypsy Of The Year Competition, which is the BC/EFA fall fundraiser (and resulted in him sharing a dressing room with Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman!).

In 2001, he produced and conducted “Dreamgirls” starring Heather Headley, Audra McDonald and Lillias White, the first fall concert for The Actors Fund, which was recorded on Nonesuch Records and raised almost $1 million for The Fund. He then did “Funny Girl” with Idina Menzel and Jane Krakowski, “Chess” with Adam Pascal and Josh Groban, “Hair” with Jennifer Hudson (Ghostlight Records, Grammy nomination), “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” with Terrence Mann and Jennifer Hudson and “On The Twentieth Century” with Marin Mazzie and Kathleen Turner. He also starred opposite Sutton Foster in The Actors Fund production of “They’re Playing Our Song” and hosted and played piano for an array of divas for their 2009 Nothing Like A Dame concert with Betty Buckley, Stephanie J. Block, Audra McDonald, Kelli O’Hara and Bebe Neuwirth.

He is the afternoon Broadway host on SiriusXM Radio and recently co-wrote and co-starred in “Disaster!” on Broadway, which was co-produced by his husband, James. He was also a co-producer on the Broadway for Orlando recording of “What the World Needs Now Is Love” and Voices for the Voiceless, he and his husband’s annual foster care event on Broadway.

As a writer, he was nominated for three Emmy awards for comedy writing on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and is the author of “My Awesome Awful Popularity Plan” and “The Rise and Fall of a Theater Geek” (published by Random House), a young adult series about a teenaged gay kid named Justin Goldblatt, who’s obsessed with theater and sports a Jewfro.

In response to concerns that marginalized people would suffer after 2016’s presidential election, along with his husband James, Seth conceived and hosted a concert series called Concert for America. The first concert was held at The Town Hall in New York, New York January 20, 2017.

Concert For America features brilliant, inspiring performances by films stars like Rosie Perez, TV stars like Piper Perabo, comedians like Caroline Rhea, recording artists like Melissa Manchester, Broadway stars like Brian Stokes Mitchell and legendary icons like Chita Rivera and Barry Manilow.

About James Wesley

In 2015, after devastating cuts were imposed on the only two foster care organizations working with older children and youth in New York City, James conceived and co-produced Voices for the Voiceless on Broadway starring Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski, Megan Hilty, Antwone Fisher, Charlene Tilton, Caroline Rhea, Darren Criss, Alec Mapa, Kate Shindle, and Eden Espinosa. It shined a spotlight on foster care in a unique and entertaining way, combining celebrity, music, and everyday people sharing their stories. The concert raised $500,000 for You Gotta Believe! and the Council on Adoptable Children.

The following year, the concert returned to Broadway, starring Chita Rivera, Rosie Perez, Stephanie Mills, Gloria Gaynor, Liz Callaway, and Sherri Saum, among many others.

In response to concerns that marginalized people would suffer after 2016’s presidential election, James produced and hosted a concert series called Concert for America. The first concert was held at The Town Hall in New York, New York January 20, 2017. Over the course of the series, entertainment’s biggest stars generously lent their voices to raise money for national organizations dedicated to protecting civil rights, women’s health, and environmental protection.

As a writer, he wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway play, “Unbroken Circle”, starring Eve Plumb and Tony nominees Anika Larsen and Jennifer Simard. He also wrote “Art and Science”, a comedy-drama dealing with the generational differences between two gay men. It starred Tony nominees Tony Sheldon and John Tartaglia.

James was also proud to be one of the lead producers on Broadway of his husband’s musical, “Disaster!”

James and Seth are the proud recipients of the National Leadership Award from the LGBTQ Task Force for their work on Broadway for Orlando’s What the World Needs Now is Love.

ERIC BANA CAST OPPOSITE CONNIE BRITTON IN BRAVO MEDIA’S ‘DIRTY JOHN’

From Universal Cable Productions, in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, Bana To Play John Meehan

Eric Bana (MUNICH and currently starring in THE FORGIVEN) is set to star opposite Connie Britton (NASHVILLE, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) in the first season of Bravo Media’s scripted anthology series DIRTY JOHN, based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.  Marking his U.S. television debut, Bana will star as John Meehan, a handsome and romantic charmer who sweeps Debra Newell (Britton) off her feet and pulls her into his web of lies.  The series chronicles the true story of how a romance with Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation.  DIRTY JOHN is produced by Universal Cable Productions (UCP), in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, and will be executive produced and written by Alexandra Cunningham (CHANCE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES). Richard Suckle and Charles Roven will serve as executive producers for Atlas Entertainment; Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen and Chris Argentieri will serve as executive producers for Los Angeles Times Studios; Britton and Bana will also serve as executive producers.

Bana was first introduced to American audiences in the title role of Mark “Chopper” Read in the feature film CHOPPER, which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and was then released in the U.S. to critical notice after its Australian success. Bana earned awards from the Australian Film Critics Circle and the Australian Film Institute for his portrayal of “Chopper.”

Bana was seen co-starring in Ridley Scott’s BLACK HAWK DOWN as Delta Sgt. First Class “Hoot” Gibson, one of a group of elite US soldiers opposite Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor and Tom Sizemore. The war epic, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Sony, is based on journalist Mark Bowden’s best-selling account of the 1993 US mission in Mogadishu, Somalia. Shortly thereafter, Eric starred as the title role of Bruce Banner in THE HULK for director Ang Lee and Universal Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics character. He was also featured as Hector the Prince of Troy in Warner Bros.’ TROY, for director Wolfgang Peterson.  The film was based on Homer’s “The Iliad”, and co-starred Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom.  The following year, he starred in Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed MUNICH, about the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Bana’s other credits include J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster hit STAR TREK, Judd Apatow’s FUNNY PEOPLE opposite Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill, the action-thriller HANNA with Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett, and LONE SURVIVOR alongside Mark Wahlberg. “This is really unlike anything our fans have ever seen,” said Julie Gerola, VP/GM Marketing & Digital Operations at Marvel. “By allowing fans to connect with each other over the characters they love, Quidd brings Marvel to life in an entirely new way.”

Whether it’s a concert poster, a sports jersey, or limited-edition Spider-Man GIFs on your iPhone, our collections are a fun way for us to express ourselves as individuals.”
