Numskull Reincarnates Horror Classics in New Merch

HALLOWEEN 2020… SCREAM IF YOU WANNA PADDLE FASTER!

Remember hiding behind the sofa watching this lot, The Exorcist, IT, Beetlejuice and The Lost Boys? Prepare for some quackifying horrors this Halloween as Numskull Designs brings some iconic, horror movie characters back to life, in the form of TUBBZ cosplaying ducks.

The haunting doesn’t stop there, Numskull has called the Ghostbusters and there’s a range of Ghostbusters merchandise for this Halloween, so tool up!

TUBBZ – tub of horrors

The TUBBZ Bloodbath range is quackingly creepy, Regan, Beetlejuice, Pennywise and David & Michael were terrifying the first time around, but now they’ve been reincarnated and they have come back as… ducks, aaargh!

Regan, The Exorcist – the duck devil is a devil with bells on, what has he done to Regan?  Her head has spun around and the devil is clearly in her eyes, The Exorcist clearly has his work cut out.

Beetlejuice – his dress sense hasn’t improved over time.  His duckpower, means he can exorcise people, don’t make his Halloween a success, swim away as fast as you can.

David, The Lost Boys – there’s no mistaking David’s 80’s hair and as for those fangs, no duck stands a chance.

Michael, The Lost Boys  he is in pre vampire state, but don’t be fooled he has been turned, just wait until the sun goes down. Garlic at the ready!

Pennywise, IT – there is nothing remotely funny about this clown.  Scaring us all witless since the late 80’s, you do not want to encounter this bad boy on Halloween. Too bad he’s coming anyway.

TCM To Celebrate Legendary Actress Olivia de Havilland

A 24-Hour programming tribute to Olivia de Havilland will air on August 23rd with Summer Under The Stars.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will celebrate the life and career of iconic actress Olivia de Havilland with a 24-hour programming tribute on Sunday, August 23 as part of its Summer Under The Stars series. De Havilland, who passed away on July 26 at the age of 104, was known for her enduring work in the classic movie era. Acting in more than 45 feature films, she earned five Academy Award® nominations, including Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her memorable turn as Melanie Hamilton Wilkes in Gone With the Wind (1940). She earned two Academy Award® wins for Best Actress in a Leading Role for To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949).

Off screen, her enduring legacy was the establishment of the informally named “De Havilland Law”, one of the most significant and far-reaching legal rulings in Hollywood. In 1943, de Havilland filed a lawsuit against her studio, Warner Bros., after it attempted to extend her seven-year contract. De Havilland’s eventual court victory helped shift the power away from the big studios into the hands of individual stars and talent agencies.

Club C x Tom & Jerry ($100): For fans who don’t pick sides, or those who simply love the show, two additional Club C x Tom & Jerry models highlight the cartoon in its entirety. DIRTY JOHN

ERIC BANA CAST OPPOSITE CONNIE BRITTON IN BRAVO MEDIA’S ‘DIRTY JOHN’

From Universal Cable Productions, in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, Bana To Play John Meehan

Eric Bana (MUNICH and currently starring in THE FORGIVEN) is set to star opposite Connie Britton (NASHVILLE, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) in the first season of Bravo Media’s scripted anthology series DIRTY JOHN, based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.  Marking his U.S. television debut, Bana will star as John Meehan, a handsome and romantic charmer who sweeps Debra Newell (Britton) off her feet and pulls her into his web of lies.  The series chronicles the true story of how a romance with Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation.  DIRTY JOHN is produced by Universal Cable Productions (UCP), in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, and will be executive produced and written by Alexandra Cunningham (CHANCE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES). Richard Suckle and Charles Roven will serve as executive producers for Atlas Entertainment; Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen and Chris Argentieri will serve as executive producers for Los Angeles Times Studios; Britton and Bana will also serve as executive producers.

Bana was first introduced to American audiences in the title role of Mark “Chopper” Read in the feature film CHOPPER, which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and was then released in the U.S. to critical notice after its Australian success. Bana earned awards from the Australian Film Critics Circle and the Australian Film Institute for his portrayal of “Chopper.”

Bana was seen co-starring in Ridley Scott’s BLACK HAWK DOWN as Delta Sgt. First Class “Hoot” Gibson, one of a group of elite US soldiers opposite Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor and Tom Sizemore. The war epic, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Sony, is based on journalist Mark Bowden’s best-selling account of the 1993 US mission in Mogadishu, Somalia. Shortly thereafter, Eric starred as the title role of Bruce Banner in THE HULK for director Ang Lee and Universal Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics character. He was also featured as Hector the Prince of Troy in Warner Bros.’ TROY, for director Wolfgang Peterson.  The film was based on Homer’s “The Iliad”, and co-starred Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom.  The following year, he starred in Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed MUNICH, about the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Bana’s other credits include J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster hit STAR TREK, Judd Apatow’s FUNNY PEOPLE opposite Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill, the action-thriller HANNA with Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett, and LONE SURVIVOR alongside Mark Wahlberg. He can currently be seen in THE FORGIVEN, opposite Forest Whitaker, directed by Roland Joffe.

GALLANT x GENTLEMAN

GRAMMY Award-nominated critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, and R&B iconoclast GALLANT returns with a preview track entitled “Gentleman” today. Get it HERE via Mind of A Genius/Warner Bros. Records. Watch the video HERE.

Representing a palpable and powerful evolution, the track conjures the spirits of late nineties and early two-thousands R&B within a sphere of cinematic production cooked up by frequent collaborator and producer Stint [Banks, Santigold]. Over a minimalist hum, the artist’s seductive and show-stopping falsetto blazes brightly and brilliantly.

Additionally, he unveiled a stunning music video awash in dark blue hues for “Gentleman.” Built around tight angles and extreme close-ups, the physicality of the clip evokes the single’s energy and showcases what he calls, “My take on a nineties bedroom jam.”

“Gentleman” is Gallant’s first release since 2016’s full-length debut, Ology, which earned a GRAMMY Award nod in the category of “Best Urban Contemporary Album” at the 2017 ceremony. Most importantly, it heralds the arrival of his anxiously awaited sophomore album, coming very soon. Keeping things personal, he even personally shared what’s to come with a fan on Twitter, allowing her to break the news.

Tonight, he headlines an intimate sold out performance at Public Arts in New York followed by shows at National Sawdust April 5 and the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Cemetery April 17.

Within the next weeks, he’ll uncover his first single “Doesn’t Matter,” from his forthcoming album. Stay tuned.

Balancing vulnerability and vitality as well as sentimentality and seduction, Gallant proved himself to be an iconoclastic presence for R&B upon emerging in 2014. His breakout debut Ology landed a GRAMMY nomination for “Best Urban Contemporary Album,” bowed in the Top 25 of the BillboardTop 200, placed on Entertainment Weekly’s “25 Best Albums of 2016 (So Far),” garnered a coveted 7.5/10 score courtesy of Pitchfork, and incited applause from The Guardian, Q, and more. Between touring with John Legend and gracing the stage at Coachella, he delivered unforgettable performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Later with Jools Holland, and NBC’s Today, to name a few. Impressively, the single clocked over 33 million Spotify streams and counting. With all of these accolades, he laid the foundation to make a big and bold statement with his forthcoming second offering.
