A couple of decades ago, when video games burst into the mainstream audience for good, everyone could have guessed that gaming would soon become an important part of the entertainment industry. The campaign will begin in late December at the earliest, and the regular season may be shortened so that the normal October-June timeframe can be in-play for 2021-22.
