Tonight, the Atlanta Braves paid tribute to Atlanta icon and eight-time GRAMMY award-winning artist and storyteller USHER, with an USHER Bobblehead gate giveaway, USHER x Braves retail collection, specialty one-night-only themed food truck, ceremonial first pitch, and celebration at Truist Park.

The first 15,000 fans through the gates received a bobblehead designed by USHER, featuring the “Peace Up, A-Town” gesture. But the celebration started long before the fans entered the gates of Truist Park. Fans arrived at The Battery Atlanta hours before the game, enjoying a set by DJ Mars, USHER’s Tour DJ, and a ‘Coming Home Diner’ food truck, whose name pays homage to USHER’s first release as an independent artist. Menu items were inspired by hit songs from USHER’s albums, such as ‘OMG’ – Fried Fish and Grits, ‘My Way’ – Lemon Pepper Wet Chicken Wings, ‘Yeah’ – Shrimp and Grits, and more. USHER visited with fans in the Threads by the Braves Clubhouse Store in The Battery Atlanta, showing off his new retail line that launched today as part of the Braves Collab Collection, hyped up the crowd with the ceremonial ‘Open the Gates’ celebration, and threw out tonight’s ceremonial first pitch before the Braves went on to beat the New York Mets, 5-0.

Louis Vuitton introduces the LV BUTTERSOFT Sneaker created by Pharrell Williams. Unveiled as part of the Fall-Winter 2025 Men’s Collection, the emblematic runner fuses the studies of streetwear and dandyism central to the practice of the Men’s Creative Director.

House Ambassador Callum Turner fronts the campaign in a series of portraits, which seamlessly blend the British actor’s charismatic artistic flair with the LV BUTTERSOFT Sneaker’s characteristic expression. Proposed in twenty-four variations, the LV BUTTERSOFT Sneaker takes its name from the buttery leather in which it is crafted. 

The sneakers are presented in a wealth of colourways and compositions – from deep nuances to light pastels – including versions adorned with the Louis Vuitton Monogram. The sneaker also carries an LV logo on the side of the upper and a Phriendship silhouette of Pharrell Williams’ face on the tongue.

On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 2025, LuisaViaRoma celebrated with EENK the launch of the Fall-Winter 2025 collection with a cocktail party and DJ set attended by a selected group of press, talents and friends of the brands, together with the famous K-Pop artist Youngjae from GOT7, set in the LuisaViaRoma store in Florence.

EENK’s keyword for the FW25 Collection is B for Binding. The starting point for EENK is a book. The brand paid attention to the process and result of how words come together to form sentences, how sentences are connected to form a story, and how sheets of paper are bound together to form a book. 

The EENK collection, which is dedicated to harmoniously combining multiple cultures, eras, stories and genders within a single garment and a single season, bears a similarity to the binding of a book. Director Hyemee Lee was also fascinated by the worldview of conceptual artist Sooja Kim this season. After seeing Kim’s exhibition “To Breathe-Constellation” at the Bourse de Commerce-Pinault Collection in Paris, she fell in love with the modernization of traditional Korean aesthetics and the way Kim embraces and connects multiple concepts. She also found common ground with EENK’s philosophy in this approach. Kim’s choice of thread and needle as a tool for painting, expanding the canvas into infinite space, and exploring the connection to the universe are all in line with her work, as the three-dimensional garments that she created by weaving two-dimensional fabrics with thread and needle build an individual’s identity. This has resulted in a series that coexists as one, such as a dress with a silhouette that resembles a bookcase with layers of fabric blowing in the breeze, and an outerwear that combines a shirt and jacket into a single item. Kim’s stainless steel works, knit sweaters with patterns resembling sculptural scrolls, and knotted bags reminiscent of “The Bottari Project” are a tribute to a master who revisits traditional aesthetics with a modern eye. We hope that this B for Binding will be a collection that combines EENK’s philosophy and the artist’s worldview into a single book. 

This collaboration perfectly embodies LuisaViaRoma’s commitment to discovering emerging brands while maintaining the elegance and sophistication of high-end fashion.

This project takes on even more meaning as EENK is the first Korean brand to create a pop-up corner at the LuisaViaRoma store, presenting its FW25 collection during Pitti Immagine Uomo 2025.

Statement From SAG-AFTRA Concerning Groundbreaking New York A.I. Legislation

N.Y. Legislature Passes Bill Requiring Disclaimers for Use of Synthetic Performers in Advertising

In a historic move marking a new era of transparency in artificial intelligence use in advertising, the New York Legislature has passed A.8887-B (Rosenthal)/S.8420-A (Gianaris). This bill is the first law in the country, and possibly the world, to mandate disclaimers when consumers are being sold to by people generated by artificial intelligence or “synthetic performers.” The legislation requires anyone who produces or creates an advertisement to conspicuously disclose if that advertisement includes a synthetic human. If you are being sold to by a machine, you will know it. 

SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said, “In the age of deepfakes, it’s essential that consumers be informed when an individual they’re seeing in advertisements is not an authentic human. We must continue to acknowledge and defend the value of real human expertise and artistry in all media and creative work. SAG-AFTRA applauds state Sen. Michael Gianaris, Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal and the New York Legislature for championing this vital step toward a future that centers truth and accountability.”

Generative artificial intelligence models present unique opportunities and create serious risks. To maintain trust in a digital world, we need guardrails on certain synthetic creations. This bill is narrowly tailored to target the use of synthetic humans in advertisements. People deserve to know who is selling to them, and this bill provides that safeguard.

This bill arrives amid increasing concerns over the proliferation of generative A.I. in media, where hyper-realistic clones, deepfake influencers and A.I. spokespersons have blurred the line between real and fake. This bill puts consumers first, providing a level of accountability and trust urgently needed in the digital world. We hope this is the first of many more to come. 

We look forward to Gov. Hochul is signing the bill into law.

First released in June 2024, LVERS is inspired by the warmth, enhancement and opportunity emitted by the sun. Taycan Turbo GT sets new production EV lap record at Road Atlanta

The Taycan Turbo GT eclipses the record set by the Taycan Turbo S over four years ago

The Taycan Turbo GT has set a new benchmark lap time for a production EV at Road Atlanta. In conjunction with the available Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS NF0 summer performance tires – developed and homologated specifically for the Taycan Turbo GT – and the optional Weissach Package, professional race car driver and Porsche Cars North America brand ambassador Patrick Long completed a lap in an impressive time of 1:27.15 minutes. 

  • The Taycan Turbo GT, piloted by Patrick Long, beats previous record set by the Taycan Turbo S in 2020 by 6.73 seconds
  • Despite a damp track, the improved technology in the car and tires helped the Taycan set a new benchmark for EV performance

“The new Taycan was so easy to get up to speed, and the brakes were amazing, there was absolutely no compromise in feel or power,” said Long after his first lap of the track. 

For comparison, a Taycan Turbo S went around Road Atlanta in 1:33.88 minutes on the 2.54-mile track at the end of 2020, less than five years earlier, showing the improvement that was made to the battery, motors, suspension, and tires over just half a generation. 

After his record run, Long had this to say, “I expected the steering feel, connection, and feedback, but I didn’t expect how powerful the Active Ride suspension would be in counteracting pitch, roll, and squat. Road Atlanta puts a lot of load into a car, and the hydraulics kept up with it without any issues, and made sure the tires were always at their best.”

Background: 
The record was set on May 28, 2025 with continuously changing weather conditions. At the time of the record run, the conditions were in the mid 70’s, with moderate cloud cover, and winds 3-5 mph from the North. Persistent rain in the morning meant track conditions would not be ideal. But thanks to a break in the clouds and a consistent breeze from the North, the track ended up patchy damp in some spots, but mostly dry during the run.

Long had this to say after the lapping session; “To be on the safe side, we experimented with traction and stability control settings, Sport PSM and off, and found the car to work just fine with it in Sport; you could see the traction control working on the dash, but it was totally seamless from the drivers seat. And finally, Attack Mode is intense, I never have felt such a smooth but intense burst of usable power in anything, including race cars!”

The car that ran the record is a stock production 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Weissach Package and Pirelli Trofeo RS tires. It features an exterior color of Purple Sky and the GT Interior Package with accents in GT Silver. It was also optioned with the Illuminated Light Strip. Starting tire pressures were set to 37psi both front and rear, and the starting battery State of Charge was 97%. Track Endurance Mode was enabled prior to the run to reduce the starting temperature of the battery to 68 degrees F. Two attempts were made, and though both attempts broke the record, the second run was the faster run.
