Cafuné – the NYC-based duo of singer/songwriter Sedona Schat and writer/producer Noah Yoo – have announced their signing to Elektra Records and shared an official music video for their breakout hit “Tek It.” Produced by Natia Sopromadze and directed by Frederick Venet of Crux Animation Studio, the anime music video for “Tek It” is streaming now on the band’s YouTube Channel.
Having amassed 45 million global streams to date, “Tek It” is featured on Cafuné’s debut album Running, which was released last July via their own Aurelians Club label. “Tek It” currently sits in the Top 5 on Billboard’s “Bubbling Under Hot 100” chart, and recently debuted on the UK’s “Official Singles Chart Top 100.” Furthermore, “Tek It” continues to grow at both Alternative and AAA radio formats, entering the Top 10 this week on Billboard’s “Hot Rock & Alternative Songs” chart while also debuting on Mediabase’s “Alternative Chart” this week at #38.
In other recent news, Cafuné have been announced as direct support to CHVRCHES on their upcoming North American headline tour. The coast-to-coast run is set to kick off on July 26th at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, LA and extend into the fall, concluding with a performance on October 3rd at the Knitting Factory in Boise, ID. For tickets and more information on Cafuné’s upcoming tour dates, visit www.wearecafune.xyz.
Sedona Schat and Noah Yoo have been recording alternative pop songs together as Cafuné since their days as NYU students in the mid-2010s. Self-produced and almost entirely recorded by the duo at their homes, mostly during the pandemic, their debut album Running is a record born in isolation. It peers out at a world that feels like it’s on the precipice of disaster, considering what it means to get older, to carve out a future for yourself. It’s a labor of the duo’s friendship, of doing the work and trying to figure out what the way forward is, even when it seems like there’s no end in sight. It’s a record of growing old and growing up, of making something you can move to—whether you’re alone in a room, in a sweaty club with all of your friends, or driving away to someplace better.
Soon, electric passenger ferries skimming above the surface across the seas may become a reality. At Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, a research team has created a unique method for further developing hydrofoils that can significantly increase the range of electric vessels and reduce the fuel consumption of fossil-powered ships by 80 per cent.
While the electrification of cars is well advanced, the world’s passenger ferries are still powered almost exclusively by fossil fuels. The limiting factor is battery capacity, which is not enough to power ships and ferries across longer distances. But now researchers at Chalmers and the marine research facility SSPA have succeeded in developing a method that can make the shipping industry significantly greener in the future. The focus is on hydrofoils that, like wings, lift the boat’s hull above the surface of the water and allow the boat to travel with considerably less water resistance. A technology that in recent years has revolutionised sailing, by which hydrofoils make elite sailors’ boats fly over the surface of the water at a very high speed. The researchers at Chalmers and SSPA now want to enable the sailboats’ hydrofoil principle to be used on larger passenger ferries as well, resulting in major benefits for the climate.
“The electrification of ferries cannot be done without drastically reducing their water resistance. This method will allow the development of new foil designs that can reduce resistance by up to 80 per cent, which in turn would significantly increase the range of a battery powered ship. In this way, we could also use electric ferries on longer distances in the future,” says research leader Arash Eslamdoost, Associate Professor in Applied Hydrodynamics at Chalmers and author of the study Fluid-Structure Interaction of a Foiling Craft published in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering.
Even for ships that today run on fossil fuels the climate benefit could be significant, as similar hydrofoil technology could reduce fuel consumption by no less than 80 per cent.
Unique measurement method arouses broad interest At the centre of the research project is a unique measurement technique that the researchers have put together in order to understand in detail how hydrofoils behave in the water when, for example, the load or speed increases or the positioning of the hydrofoil changes. Using the data collected from the experiments, the team has developed and validated a method to simulate and predict with great precision how the hydrofoil would behave under a variety of conditions. The method is unique of its kind and can now be used to develop the design of hydrofoils for electric powered hydrofoil ferries.
The study was conducted in collaboration with the research facility SSPA – one of only a few of its kind in the world – where Laura Marimon Giovannetti works as a researcher and project manager. She is the lead author of the study and has herself competed at the elite level for both the British and Italian national sailing teams. Today she is a research and development adviser to Sweden’s Olympic committee and the Swedish national team with her sights set on helping the team win more medals at the Olympics in 2024. Marimon Giovannetti sees many possibilities for the unique measurement method developed by the team:
“At the Americas Cup in San Francisco Bay in 2013, it was the first time we saw a 72-foot sailing boat learning how to “fly” using hydrofoils during the competition. And since then, we’ve seen a huge increase in sailing boats with hydrofoils. With this new method and knowledge we are able to bring together a range of different branches of engineering – naval architecture, advanced materials and aeronautics as well as renewable energy.”
Paving the way for hydrofoils on electric ferries Hydrofoil technology is not in itself a novelty, but was developed as early as the 60s and 70s. Back then the focus was on getting boats to travel at as fast as possible and the hydrofoils were made of steel, a heavy material with higher maintenance costs. Today’s modern hydrofoils are made of carbon fibre, a much lighter and stiffer material that can maintain its rigidity even under high loads – and can be tailored to the expected loads. Part of the research project was therefore to fully understand how a carbon fibre structure behaves underwater during different operational conditions. The research team’s method developed in association with modern technology is now paving the way for the use of carbon fibre hydrofoils on larger passenger ships that can travel in a safe, controlled and climate-friendly way even at low speeds.
“You want the foil to be as efficient as possible, which means carrying as much weight as possible at as low a speed as possible with the least resistance. Our next goal is to use this method when designing more efficient hydrofoils for ferries in the future,” says Eslamdoost.

There are many reasons why we travel. To escape the daily grind, to see the world, and learn about different cultures and traditions. But one of the main reasons we travel is to have fun!
A vacation gives you a chance to relax and rejuvenate yourself. However, it can be easy to get stuck in a rut while on holiday. Whether traveling with family or friends, making your trip fun and memorable is important.
If you’re looking for some excitement during your next vacation, here are some great ideas:
Go Hiking
Hiking is great exercise, and it’s also a fun way to see new places. If you have time during your trip, consider hiking through the woods or along a mountain trail. It is also a great way to take in nature, which is one of the best ways to relax after a stressful day.
Many hiking trails worldwide offer beautiful views of mountains, lakes, and other natural wonders! Some hiking trails even lead up mountains to get closer views of glaciers or waterfalls.
Board games are a great way to get people together. You can play Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, or any other game in your collection. Even without a large group of friends and family, you can play on a computer or with a friend over the internet.
If you want to fancy more of a thrill, try out some online casino games! There are plenty of them, and you can play with only an internet connection. Popular types include slots, live dealers, table games, and video poker.
The good thing about these games is that you can access them depending on your location. If you are in Canada, try searching for the best online casinos in Canada. If you go on a vacation and never do anything but sit on the beach, you will have difficulty remembering anything about it. So next time, do things that are memorable.
Directed by Bedroom projects (The1975) and Ben Chappell (Arctic Monkeys, Nine Inch Nails), the cinematic visual sees the Gucci-styled band cast in their own script for blockbuster single Supermodel. Combining classic elements of Tarantino and Hitchcock, the band perfectly captures the song’s fierce mood and playful lyrics as a series of catastrophic events unfold.
Måneskin writes, “We wanted to pay tribute to our favorite ‘90s movies in the Supermodel music video. We tried to capture a cinematic vibe about an enigmatic character in the track and we wanted the visual to reflect that. After we came up with the idea, we worked closely with the directors and Ben to recreate frame shots and sequences from our favorite 90s films. We had so much fun filming scenes that reminded us of a detective B-movie.”
Bedroom comments, “The Måneskin video was a project that was inspired by the references of a mixture of 90s films like Run Lola Run, Reservoir Dogs, as well as, Hitchcock and a bit of 1950s Hollywood. The macguffin of the mysterious purse was something out of Marnie or Pulp fiction. Shot on Super 16.”
“This video came about after a week of sitting around the pool in LA with the band thumbing through 90s Vogue magazines and talking about our favorite 90s movies. We tried to sneak in as many small references as we could throughout the video,”Ben Chappell adds.
Produced with pop prodigy Max Martin and his team, ‘Supermodel’ is a California-soaked rock anthem, loosely based on characters they met during their time in LA. “You want to hang out with this supermodel, but you might get in trouble. It’s like cigarettes: you love them but you know they’re gonna fucking kill you.” the band described in their newly unveiled NME Big Readcover interview.
Following on the heels of Måneskin’s recent Billboard Music Award win for Top Rock Song of the Year, “Supermodel” is quickly following the same trajectory onto the airwaves of U.S. Rock Radio – just debuting as the top new entry on Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart. To further demonstrate the song’s allure, the band recently performed its U.S. TV debut on The Tonight Show, with Jimmy Fallon actually joining in with the band. Not only has the clip become one of the most watched recent videos on the program’s YouTube page, quickly notching over 1 million views, but it has already been scheduled for a repeat airing THIS WEEK on June 2.
Multi-platinum producer DJ Snake kicks off his next era of music with the highly anticipated dancefloor anthem “Disco Maghreb,” available today via Interscope Records. Listen to “Disco Maghreb”—HERE.Watch the accompanying cinematic music video—HERE.
For the first time in his career, after accumulating over 35 billion-plus audio streams and selling out shows worldwide, DJ Snake finally reveals a more intimate side of his personality and life through this release. The song reflects his cultural background, deep love for North African music, and his family roots. The artistic visionary specifically chose the title “Disco Maghreb” after the legendary Algerian music label and record shop of the same name. He proves he can live up to the name’s legacy with the straight banger at the crossroads of Western dance vibes and Arabic sounds.
The accompanying blockbuster-level music video was shot in Algeria utilizing the talents of a local team, paying homage to DJ Snake’s influences for the record. With the help of Romain Gavras (M.I.A., Jay-Z, Kanye West, Jamie XX, Justice) executive producing the visual, he created a video representation that is just as iconic and powerful as the song itself. “Disco Maghreb” evinces the energy of the globalized youth, traditional dances, and a spirit of jubilation on screen. At the same time, it captures the angst and yearning for freedom exhibited by an over-connected generation of young women and men from the Middle East, North Africa, and everywhere.
The song arrives just in time to set the stage for DJ Snake’s upcoming headlining show at Paris Saint Germain’s Parc Des Prince on June 11th. As a huge football fan / supporter of Paris-Saint-Germain, DJ Snake is returning to his hometown as the first to bring concerts to life at the legendary venue, which has not hosted a musical event for over 10 years. Tickets for the record-breaking event are on sale now HERE.
Announced this past weekend at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, Yoda will star in a brand-new Marvel Comics limited series this October. A ten-issue epic, STAR WARS: YODA will take place during Yoda’s self-imposed exile on Dagobah as he reflects on past adventures. The centuries-spanning saga will be divided into three arcs by three separate creative teams, each set during key moments in the Jedi Master’s long and legendary life.
New York Times bestselling author Cavan Scott and artist Nico Leon will kick things off with a story set during the Star Wars: The High Republic era. They’ll be followed by writers Jody Houser and Marc Guggenheim and artists Luke Ross and Alessandro Miracolo with stories set just before the Prequel Trilogy and near the end of the Clone Wars. Scott and Leon will return to complete the saga in the final issue. Yoda’s first-ever solo comic series, STAR WARS: YODA will reveal unexplored aspects of the Jedi Master’s storied history and shed new light on the mystery that surrounded the iconic character since his debut.
“I’ve been lucky to write Yoda in various projects over the last few years, most notably in Dooku: Jedi Lost, and every time I write him my love for him deepens,” Scott told StarWars.com. “It’s fair to say that my study at home is a shrine for three Star Wars icons: there are a lot of Obi-Wan figures; many, many, many, MANY pieces of Ewok merchandise (do I love those murder bears more than the Lepi? Don’t tell Jaxxon, but there’s every chance!); and then there is Yoda. The little guy is everywhere, in models, in art, and in lots of LEGO. Yoda casts a long shadow over anything he appears in, and writing him is a privilege and a responsibility I take seriously.”
“I’ve been wanting to do a Yoda book since I started working on the STAR WARS titles,” Editor Mark Paniccia added. “Yoda is a very special character to me as he is to everyone working on this series. We all have our hearts and souls in this and I hope the fans enjoy it as much as we have putting it together. It’s really unique and I’m very proud of it.”
Check out Phil Noto’s cover for the debut issue below and see the legendary Jedi Master like you never have before when STAR WARS: YODA #1 arrives in October! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

In the jungle of mighty e-bikes, Himiway has released its latest fat tire, the Zebra. With its broad shoulders and brawny physique, it effortlessly straddles various terrains. At the $1800-$2300 price point. It is the predecessor for the Cruiser, gracefully tackling errands on a daily concrete safari.
Coming in as the lowest price point from Himiway, the Zebra is an affordable option for e-bike lovers in search of a compelling creature. Suitable for the average commuter or the adventuresome, the Zebra has an array of features that set it apart from the rest.
The Bronx is our favorite testing ground due to its steep hills, deep potholes, and ominous sinkholes. Putting the Zebra to the ultimate test, we’ve discovered the true selling points of the e-bike.
Curb Appeal
The Himiway sports a strong design, renowned for its sleek, black look. The use of the stripes along the body resembles the look of the real-life animal, turning heads left and right. Not quite yet the king of the jungle, the Zebra allows users to take on the jungle in a classic and robust form furnished with lustrous styling. Available in a separate colorway of graphite or slate gray, the e-bike has the look of a true beast. Himiway shows that functionality and reliability can be as captivating as a wild animal in their natural habitat.
Design
Sporting a comfortable dismount, you’ll never having to tilt the unit sideways, making the Zebra is excellent for all sizes. The integrated rear light and 48V LED headlamp is bright, creating flawless visibility. Its hoofs are 26 × 4 so you can courageously clear many road obstacles such as sinking in mud or snow and slipping on the ground. The alloy pedals showcase reflectors for added awareness to surrounding beings. Beware of abnormally high curbs with metal lips, its spokes are vulnerable to them. Unlike its Cobra counterpart’s textured skin, it is mane has been swapped out for a foot-long raised sticker. Though both the Himiway’s could be seen sneaking around the savanna, the Zebra stands out among the pack with a chic look.
Showcasing a 960Wh battery and 52 5000mAh cells, range, stability, and safety are maximized to the fullest potential. Navigating rich terrains or just riding around the concrete jungle is easy when one charge of the Zebra will last you up to 60 miles with over 80+ miles in pedal assist. The 7-gear shift system along with pedal assist climbs ascending asphalt in dry or inclement weather. The faux-leather handle grips rival sweaty palms, though they’re easily replaceable. Understeering is unavoidable but doesn’t greatly impact overall performance.
The battery itself is large and heavy. Luckily, it’s very easy to remove and charge when need be; you only need to insert and twist the provided key. The Zebra has an impressive range of 60 to 80 miles without pedaling, with maximized power at 750W with 86Nm max motor torque. Comparable to the extreme force of the true animal running at speeds up to 40mph, we see the motorized form reach speeds of up to 23mph. The charging time is about 7 hours until fully charge.
Performance
We see an elevation of strength to graze through grounds with the extreme 750W gear hub motor equipped with an inner ring. Created to endure the roughest landscape out there, navigating just got a whole lot easier with the advancement on the profound motor. Energy can be seamlessly dispersed throughout the layout of the e-bike, allowing for us to 86Nm max torque.
The braking system performs beautifully. Tektro 180MM hydraulic disc brakes help force the model to a stop and for something as heavy as the Himiway is, it’s able to stop and start again effectively and easily.
Durability
While reliable, it’s also one of the heaviest of its class, weighing a whopping 79 pounds. Compare that to the Cruiser, which only weighs 72 pounds. The latter can hold 400 pounds, fifty greater than the former. In addition, Himiway employs high quality 6061 aluminum to give the bike unparalleled durability.
Its reserved fork accommodates wider tires which allows you to upgrade to 4.8-inch tires. The integrated design gives you protection from inclement weather, eliminating up to 98% of common mechanical failures.
The 26-inch Kenda fat tires allow for great traction, which ensures minimum sliding on the ground and plummeting through messy landscape. We’ve found that the smooth grip is perfect for light terrains.
Ergonomics/Safety
Himiway’s Zebra utilizes a soft tail adjustable seat, allowing for easy access to tweak seat height. Crafted to fit those between 5’3 to 6’3, the e-bike showcases both a step over and step thru model, catering to differing demographics. The step through, formerly an attribute of an effeminate frame, allows for great weight redistribution, which the male buyer has taken notice in.
Riding with the Zebra reminisces wildlife quests that are full of smooth yet thrilling. No matter where your journey may take you, Himiway confirms that you won’t get too dirty along the way. With front and back fenders, the e-bike comes fully equipped to protect from water, rain, and rough terrain. Keeping your clothing and the e-bike’s exterior fresh and clean, the fenders provide added ease. The rear rack conveniently allows for easy storage while on a mail or grocery run. The heavy-duty aluminum kickstand firmly poses itself while running other errands as well.
While a little heavy, the Zebra is amazing for those who yearn for long distance, light terrain adventures.
