Stand the Rain via Republic Records for use by 360 Magazine

G Herbo – Stand the Rain

Unleashing the heat at a prolific pace, chart-topping phenom and platinum-selling G Herbo uncovers the music video for his latest single “Stand The Rain (Mad Max).” Watch it HERE. It’s available on his critically acclaimed chart-topping new album, 25, out now. Listen to 25: HERE

The black-and-white (and green) visual shot by No More Heroes opens with Herbo reading his own “30 Under 30” cover story in Forbes. However, the action unfolds in frenetic fashion as the clip follows him to church, the basketball court, and the gun range as he delivers each successive rhyme with more intensity than the last. No matter what, he’ll make you feel like you can “Stand The Rain” too.

It also arrives on the heels of the music video for “Cold World,” which has already clocked 2.4 million YouTube views and counting. Of the track, Complex claimed Herbo “is reaching new heights” as it also attracted plugs from The Source, Revolt, AllHipHop, and many more.

25 recently crashed the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200. It not only became his second straight bow in the Top 10 of the chart, but it also emerged as his highest debut yet. It has amassed over 182 million streams and earned widespread praise. Starring on its latest cover, KAZI Magazine went as far as to christen him “Chicago’s Street Rap Messiah,” and HYPEBEAST dubbed it, “Arguably the rapper’s most vulnerable record to date.

G Herbo opens up like never before on the record. Complex hailed it as “a confessional album that opens a window into his world at the quarter-century mark.” His raps rip deeper, while the hooks hit harder than ever. He’s delivered a project that speaks to the struggles of the Windy City and this generation while showing it’s possible to build an empire.

As such, G Herbo has assembled his biggest, boldest, and the best body of work to date with 25. Among these 19 tracks, he recruited a cohort of A-list collaborators, including Polo G and Lil Tjay on “Cry No More,” 21 Savage on “T.O.P.”, and The Kid LAROI and Gunna on “You Can’t.” Through and through, his authoritative flows, incisive choruses, and raw heart shine.

He bulldozed a path for the project earlier this year with “Break Yoself,” and “Really Like That.” The FADER attested, “The tracks feel like siblings with their gunmetal-black sounds and visions of violence and wealth, though I can imagine turning up to ‘Really Like That’.” Plus, 25 boasts the fan-favorite “Statement,” nearing 10 million streams.

G Herbo is back, and he’s ready to flip the game upside down once and for all on 25. Merch including T-Shirts, Hoodies, and CD’s are available to shop HERE.

About G HERBO

After quietly grinding for years out of his native Chicago, G Herbo established himself as not only a platinum-selling, chart-topping phenomenon, but also as a staunch mental health advocate and proponent for change in the black community. Following a string of acclaimed projects, his critically celebrated third album PTSD bowed at #7 on the Billboard Top 200, received praise from Rolling Stone as “his most vulnerable album to date,” and yielded one of the most important songs of 2020—the platinum-certified title track “PTSD” [feat. Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, & Chance the Rapper]. Additionally, he launched the Swervin’ Through Stress youth mental health program which was recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30. To further his commitment to championing these causes, he is also remodeling an old, shuttered, public elementary school into a community center in Chicago. In 2021, he reached new heights yet again. His fourth full-length offering, 25, soared to the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200, marking his second consecutive Top 10 and highest debut to date. Racking up hundreds of millions of streams right out of the gate, Pitchfork attested, “As Chicago’s G Herbo has gotten older, his music has become more urgent,” while he adorned KAZI’s cover. Simultaneously, he appeared on multiple #1 albums such as Pop Smoke’s Faith [“Run Down”] and The Kid LAROI’s F*CKLOVE3+:OVER YOU  [“Don’t Leave Me”] as well as collaborating with Dave East and Harry Fraud. With a larger-than-life fanbase, G Herbo has shared the stage with everyone from Miley Cyrus to Marshmello.

Lil Tecca × Aminé – Gametime

Representing a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Republic Records, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Xbox present the music video for “Gametime” by Lil Tecca and Aminé—from the Space Jam: A New Legacy Official Soundtrack. Watch the music video for “Gametime”—HERE.

In celebration of the upcoming film, Xbox invited fans from around the world to submit their ideas for an original Space Jam: A New Legacy–themed video game. The result is “Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Game,” a basketball beat ‘em up reminiscent of classic arcade games of the ‘90’s.

For the “Gametime” music video, Xbox animated Lil Tecca into the newest member of the Tune Squad as a character in the arcade-style game, on-screen. During a key sequence, the multi-platinum New York rapper faces the Goon Squad alongside none other than basketball superstar, LeBron James. In addition to “Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Game,” the music video showcases an exclusive Tune Squad Xbox Wireless Controller and a custom Bugs Bunny Xbox Series S Console. The integration marks a full circle moment for Tecca who started rapping and honing his craft while on Xbox Live.

“Ten years ago if you told me I’d be in an Xbox game with the G.O.A.T. himself, I wouldn’t believe it,” commented Tecca. “This is the biggest dream come true, and I’m so thankful Bron, Xbox, and Space Jam: A New Legacy invited me to the party.”

“We’ve got a rap superstar, an iconic film franchise, and the greatest athlete of this generation in one video,” added Marcos Waltenberg, Director of Xbox Global Partnerships. “We’ve never done anything of this magnitude between sports, music, film, and video games. It’s a watershed moment for Xbox, and we’re honored to be a part of it.”

The “Space Jam: A New Legacy–The Game” launched globally on July 1 exclusively into Xbox Game Pass Perks for a limited time. The game will be available free-to-play for all fans through the Microsoft Store on Xbox on Thursday, July 15.

Morgan Wallen Album Art

Morgan Wallen Announces Dangerous: The Double Album

As announced last night via his social media, Big Loud/Republic Records’ Morgan Wallen will release his highly-anticipated sophomore album, Dangerous: The Double Album, on January 8, 2021. The vast, 30-track double album is nearly three years in the making, written largely by Wallen throughout the chapter of his career that has established him as “the fastest rising young star in the country” according to Variety.

With the project’s arsenal of writers ranging from storytelling titans Ashley Gorley, Shane McAnally, Hillary Lindsey, Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, to two of Wallen’s biggest musical inspirations Eric Church and Jason Isbell, to his closest musical confidants HARDY, ERNEST and Ryan Vojtesak (aka Charlie Handsome), Dangerous: The Double Album further establishes the signature sound crafted by Wallen and producer Joey Moi on his #1 PLATINUM debut, If I Know Me.

The double shot holds both of Wallen’s current Country radio singles – Top 3 “More Than My Hometown” and Top 30 “7 Summers” – as well as his critically acclaimed cover of Isbell’s “Cover Me Up,” New Year’s surprise release “This Bar,” and the countrified album version of 3X PLATINUM Diplo collaboration, “Heartless.”

“As y’all may have heard, I announced a double album last night, and I couldn’t be more excited about it,” shares Wallen. “The ‘double album’ idea started off as just a joke between me and my manager because we had accumulated so many songs over the past couple of years. Then quarantine hit, and we realized it might actually be possible to have enough time to make it happen.”

“I also ended up writing quite a few more songs during the quarantine with some of my good buddies. After a few months of production and fine-tuning, I am so proud of what we came up with,” Wallen continued. “I know 32 (eventual) songs sounds like a lot to digest, but I truly did my best to make sure there’s not a song that I would press “next” on.”

“I also wanted the songs to speak to multiple phases of life and have multiple different sounds based on my influences and based on what I enjoy,’ said Wallen. “The three songs that we will put out next week will hopefully encapsulate a lot of the project for you and hold you off until January. Thank y’all!!”

Kim Viera releases new single “AY AY AY” feat. Pitbull

Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Kim Viera releases her brand new singleAy Ay Ay feat. Pitbull today.

Listen to “Ay Ay Ay”: HERE

Kim’s sultry vocals ride over the summer-ready production verse by verse leading up to an addictive catchy hook. The Pitbull collaboration adds an extra flair creating a dance-ready hit.

In many ways, Kim Viera was destined to merge cultures in her music. Growing up of Puerto Rican descent in an artist-friendly New York household, her parents both worked in the entertainment industry. Dad launched, owned, and operated a live production company, and Mom could be heard as a backup singer for Willie Colon, Ruben Bladés, and more. Yearly vacations in Puerto Rico represented that balance as the travel mixtape spanned Selena, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, La India, Sia, Brandy, and Whitney Houston. A vocal powerhouse, she made her introduction on viral hits alongside YouTube mega-star Kurt Schneider in between writing for superstars such as Lil Wayne. In 2016, she landed a major label deal with Republic Records and made waves by contributing “Tribe” to the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Pitch Perfect 3. This anthem quickly clocked 1.8 million Spotify streams. Along the way, she honed her “American Latina” style and set fire with her single “Como” feat. Daddy Yankee. It exploded as an international smash with 40.8 million cumulative streams and counting, while the music video surpassed 24 million views in under a year. Meanwhile, she garnered acclaim from Billboard and NPR who pegged it among “Our Favorite Latin Songs This Week, upon release, setting the stage for her first 2019 anthem “Here For Ya” and now “Ay Ay Ay” feat. Pitbull.
