Hardy Caprio x DigDat “Gluten Tag”

Fast rising British rapper Hardy Caprio has released new single ‘Guten Tag’ via Virgin EMI today.

A collaboration with formidable London rapper DigDat ‘Guten Tag’ is the latest track to be taken from Hardy’s highly anticipated debut album set for release this summer. The perfect recipe for a vibe filled summer the video was directed by previous collaborator Wowa and continues to tilt a hat at Hardy’s success.

Known as one of the game’s biggest hitters, DigDat’s tales from the jailhouse and the roads combined his immersive imagery and witty wordplay has established his place in the UK scene. The remix of his song ‘Air Force‘, featuring UK rap heavyweights Krept & Konan and K Trap, reached the Top 20 in the Official Singles Chart and made drill history in the process.

‘Guten Tag’ drops off the back of a stellar rise for Hardy Caprio. Most people would be absolutely delighted to either achieve a first-class degree in accountancy or to launch a thriving rap career. Incredibly Hardy Caprio did both at the same time.  After gatecrashing the UK rap scene, the charismatic young south Londoner has been on a vertical rise making waves and scoring chart hits with summery r’n’b-rap like Unsigned and Best Life, (both feat. One Acen), and the harder-edged dancefloor swagger of Rapper.  He has sold more than 1 million singles, sold out two national tours (many of which sold out within minutes of going on sale) and accomplished a gold and two silver records in one calendar year.

Earmarked by The Guardian as an artist who’s “on the edge of breakthrough” and GRM Daily as “a rapper that is going to blow” and described by The Independent as “poised to break into the mainstream”, Hardy has delivered on the hype, cementing his reputation as an upcoming British MC to watch.

Following the release of ‘Guten Tag’ x DigDat, this year will see Hardy perform at a string of festivals over the summer and release his debut album.

10 Ways to Monitor Your Drinking this Cinco de Mayo

1. Don’t drink on an empty stomach. Savor your meal before you start drinking an alcoholic beverage.

2. Do not overeat and Sip your drink. Enjoy your beverage.

3. Avoid binging. The definition of binging is 5 drinks or more in less than 4-5 hours.

4. Keep your consumption of drinks as low as possible – not more than 3 drinks for a man and 2 for a woman.

5. Alcoholic beverages are similar in alcohol content. One beer is equivalent to a glass of wine or a shot of liquor.

6. Find a driver. Don’t drive after drinking. It is hard to judge your blood alcohol level and its effects on your cognitive ability and reflexes.

7. If you are a diabetic or hypertensive, suffering from a heart or liver condition, take your daily medications, and check with your doctor to avoid alcohol interactions with your medications.

8. If you are going to use Tylenol, don’t exceed more than 3 grams in one day. Be aware that a lot of headache medicines or pain killers contain acetaminophen (Tylenol), so avoid accidental overdosing.

9. Don’t mix alcohol with other recreational drugs.

10. Space your beverages to allow your body the ability to metabolize what you ingested and avoid intoxication.

Cryptocurrency Payment Benefits For Depositing At Online Casinos

The Internet has changed this sphere completely, where cash once ruled all we know have a variety of ways we can store our money. Of all these methods there is one fairly new player that has been touted to takeover completely – crptocurrency.

This new way of using money has only been around for a decade, yet its popularity has skyrocketed, especially with young investors seeking to ride the wave of the next big thing. Alongside this more and more online gamblers are using cryptocurrencies to make deposits at online casinos. Click here now if you want to learn more about the online gambling industry and how people make their deposits. Cryptocurrencies often offer added security and can be easier to set aside in a gambling pot.

Security

In many respects the 21st Century has completely reshaped the way that many of us live our day-to-day lives, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the realm of money and banking.

One of the main crytocurrency payment benefits for depositing at online casinos is the added security associated with this ultra secure way of making payments. Indeed, the driving factor behind the development of this technology was to make financial transactions online much safer – hence the “crypto” in its name. One thing to remember here is that crptocurrencies are just as liable to hacking as something like conventional online banking, however due to their makeup it is a lot harder.

Something else that makes crytocurrency payments more safe than your average is that they offer complete and utter anonymity. You would be surprised at how much personal information is divulged through normal deposit techniques such as regular card payment. Now, a dependable online casino site could surely be trusted to keep such details private and confidential, however they are always liable to being hacked, and if that happens your personal data could fall into the wrong hands.

Financial Responsibility

Another benefit to using cryptocurrencies to make your deposit at online casinos is that this method can go a long way in ensuring you stay financially responsible. It is incredibly easy to deposit some additional money from your card if you’re having a bad spell on the slots and need a monetary pick-me-up to keep going. Whilst this may seem good at the time it is actually something that has been instrumental in the rise of problem gambling.

On the other hand, with cryptocurrencies the deposit you make will often be a very strictly rigid amount because of the complexities of obtaining more. It can enable gamblers with financial control problems to set aside a pot of money for gambling and stick to it with absolute rigidity.

Future Investment

Many experts hail the use of crpyocurrencies across the board, they see them as the next development of money used across the world – we may as well get acquainted with it sooner rather than later. In a few decades time it will be the first users of cryptocurrencies that stand to gain the most, something as simple as making your online casino deposits with crypto could pay off handsomely in the future.

Student Invention Gives Patients the Breath of Life

Natalie Dickman squeezed the bag again and again in an effort to revive a victim of cardiac arrest. After a mere 3 minutes, she could squeeze no more.

“The patient had been down for 30 minutes and there wasn’t much hope, unfortunately,” said the Rice University student, a soon-to-be graduate of the Brown School of Engineering, who was covering a shift with Houston EMS as required by a Rice class in emergency medical techniques. “I was allowed to bag, but they make you switch in EMS settings because they know you won’t be as accurate once you hit that 2-to-3-minute mark. You get really tired.”

She thought about that often over the last year when she and her senior teammates worked at Rice’s Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen (OEDK) to perfect a cost-effective device that automates the compression of manual bag valve masks, which feed fresh air to the lungs of intubated patients.

The senior capstone design team — bioengineering students Dickman, Carolina De Santiago, Karen Vasquez Ruiz and Aravind Sundaramraj, mechanical engineering and computational and applied mathematics student Tim Nonet and mechanical engineering student Madison Nasteff — is known as “Take a Breather.”

The team has developed a system that compresses the bags for hours, rather than minutes, with settings to feed the right amount of air to adults, children and infants. The device seems simple — a box with paddles that rhythmically squeeze the bulb a programmed amount – but the engineering behind it is not.

The students used a $25, off-the-shelf motor and $5 microcontroller to power and program the rack-and-pinion device made primarily of plastic parts 3D-printed at the OEDK. They hope their use of inexpensive materials and the growing availability of 3D printers will make their machines easy to repair on-site.

They anticipate the device, which cost them $117 in parts to build, will be most useful in low-resource hospitals or during emergencies when there aren’t enough portable ventilators to meet the need.

Dr. Rohith Malya, an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, brought the problem to the OEDK after witnessing family members at the Kwai River Christian Hospital in Thailand, where he is director of emergency medical services, squeezing intubation bags for hours on end to keep loved ones alive.

“There is no reliable ventilation,” said Malya, who spends a month at the hospital every year. “Once we intubate somebody, the family has to bag the patient. But the family will get tired after a day and say, ‘They’re not getting better right now, just pull the tube and see what happens.’ And then the patient dies.”

Malya previously worked with Rice engineering students to develop a syringe regulating pump, and did not hesitate to bring a new idea to the OEDK.

“The bag mask is ubiquitous, like the syringe,” he said. “Nothing has challenged it for 80 years. It’s stood the test of time, it’s reliable and it’s simple. And now we’re adding a modification to the original device so families don’t have to make those decisions.

“This will broaden the access to mechanical ventilation to a tremendous part of the world that doesn’t have typical ventilators,” said Malya, who plans to take the proof-of-concept device to Thailand for field testing next spring.

The device is much smaller than the sophisticated ventilators found in American hospitals and portable versions used in emergency situations. Critically, it has to be able to operate for long stretches. In its most recent test, the team ran the device for more than 11 hours without human intervention.

The students expect another Rice team will build a more robust version next year, and hope it will eventually be manufactured for use in low-resource and emergency settings. They anticipate a better-sealed and filtered box will be more suitable for hot, dusty environments, and said future designs should include more sophisticated controls.

For its efforts this year, the team won two prizes at the school’s annual Engineering Design Showcase, the Willy Revolution Award for Outstanding Innovation and the best interdisciplinary engineering design award. But the real payoff would be seeing the device further developed and deployed around the world.

“If they can get it working fully in that kind of environment, this will be saving lives,” Nasteff said.

ROCKETMAN: Music From The Motion Picture

Interscope Records will release ROCKETMAN: Music From The Motion Picture. The set sees celebrated producer and composer Giles Martin re-interpreting and re-imagining Elton John’s iconic hits, tailoring the music specifically to support the narrative of Paramount Pictures’ upcoming major motion picture, ROCKETMAN, with a truly show stopping vocal performance from lead actor Taron Egerton.   The first track from the album, “Rocket Man,” was Zane Lowe’s World Record today on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Fans can pre-order ROCKETMAN: Music From The Motion Picture now and receive “Rocket Man” instantly.  The video for “Rocket Man” premiered today on Good Morning America.  Watch the video HERE.

Elton John says: “It was so important that the music I composed and recorded had to be sung by Taron. I wanted his interpretation of me, through Bernie’s lyrics & my music – not just acting. I left Taron in the hands of Giles Martin, who I trusted implicitly because he’s brilliant. I didn’t want to be in Taron’s shadows, watching over the process, I trusted them to do what they needed to do, artistically, and listening back I’ve been astonished with the results. Getting the music right was the most important thing, as the songs in the film are integral to the story.”

“The beauty of having Elton involved with the film is we’ve been able to work with him to see how far we can take these classic songs” says Taron Egerton. “Giles Martin has impeccable taste and massive skills to bring the songs to a place where they are faithful and daring as well.”

“The great thing about Elton is that he is a true artist and he wants people to expand on his work – he wants interpretations done, it’s refreshing for him, says Giles Martin.  “We had scope to play around with things and think how we address the songs. The songs are the story of the movie, the heartbeat of what happens. Once the songs start a whole world opens up. In Taron I’ve never known a singer who dedicates himself so much to the process. I don’t think anyone else could have played Elton.”

Tasked with taking Elton’s unparalleled back catalogue and reimagining it to fit the film’s narrative, soundtrack producer Martin worked closely with the filmmakers, supervising all the music for the production and pulling a vocal masterclass from Egerton in the studio. From transforming Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting’ into an epic ensemble piece, to morphing ‘I Want Love’ into a heart-breaking moment of conflict around little Reggie’s family meal, each track has been sculpted to form a unique part of the narrative of this most incredible of stories. The soundtrack also contains a brand-new Elton John and Bernie Taupincomposition ‘(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again’ performed by Elton and Taron Egerton. ROCKETMAN: Music From The Motion Picture is produced by Giles Martin (except “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” is co-produced by Giles Martin and Greg Kurstin)and was recorded between 2017 and 2019 at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios. Executive Album Producers are Elton John, David Furnish, Matthew Vaughan and Dexter Fletcher.

ROCKETMAN: Music From The Motion Picture will come in a standard and deluxe version of the album and is available for pre-order now at http://smarturl.it/RocketmanSoundtrack.  A Target CD version will feature two exclusive tracks – “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down In Me” (Taron only) and “Breakin’ Down The Walls If Heartache”.   Pre-order the Target cd starting May 2 at Target stores or online at Target.com.

Paramount Pictures presents, in association with New Republic Pictures, A Marv Films/Rocket Pictures production ROCKETMAN; an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. The film follows the fantastical journey of transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John. This inspirational story – set to Elton John’s most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton – tells the universally relatable story of how a small-town boy became one of the most iconic figures in pop culture. ROCKETMAN also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother. Instyle June Cover Stars

Instyle June Issue On sale May 17th

The cast of Big Little Lies is covering InStyle’s June issue with 5 separate covers: Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz and Laura Dern.

The lives of the cast have overlapped in myriad ways. Nicole and Reese have a production partnership (Big Little Lies is their brainchild). Reese starred with Laura in Wild. Laura starred with Shailene in The Fault in Our Stars. Shailene starred with Zoë in Divergent. Nicole has known Zoë since she dated her father, Lenny Kravitz, 16 years ago. And so it goes. These women’s relationships run much deeper than “ensemble cast”; rather, they have influenced and enriched each other’s lives.

  • Reese: I had a conversation last week that I never would have had seven years ago. It was about compensation: what a woman would make on a project versus what a guy in a similar position would make. I went to the mat for that woman. She’ll never know I made that call or had that conversation with the head of a studio. But I said to him, “This is the comp. This white guy over here is making this amount of money, and she’s done this, that, and the other with such success—and you’re asking for her to have a third of that. That’s not OK with me.”
  • Shailene: In my early 20s I got rid of everything I owned and lived out of a carry-on. I loved it. As I got older I really craved a home, but now I find myself hungry for constant change again.
  • Zoe: I dealt with eating disorders in high school and my early 20s. I always felt like I needed to look like a supermodel to do my job, which I don’t. The supermodels are doing it quite well. But when you’re starting your career, you think you have to be the hot girl who can play some guy’s girl- friend. And then you work more, and you grow up. With Big Little Lies, we were all so hungry to play real characters. It’s not about what we look like, it’s about what we feel like.
  • Laura Dern: Not at all. “Ambition” was a dirty word for women when I was a little girl. Women who are ambitious are cold, calculating, and unsexy—that was the idea presented to my generation. To be sexy was to be demure, subservient even. And I was raised by actresses, like my mother [Diane Ladd], my godmother Shelley Winters, my mom’s friend Jane Fonda, and Gena Rowlands. I saw powerful women as artists or daring to challenge the medical profession and fighting to be doctors—but they weren’t in a boardroom. They weren’t CEOs. That’s where the pants came in. And women didn’t wear pants, so they couldn’t do that.
  • Nicole Kidman: Other people are o doing things like having a girls’ weekend. I don’t have that because I go home. I want to be with my children and my husband [singer-songwriter Keith Urban]. I will sort of get lost in a character or whatever I’m doing, but I’m constantly working to keep that balance. …… I go home to hug my kids. Literally, I’ll go in and snuggle them. They’ll always be waiting up. I’ll hug my husband too. The greatest thing our family priest told us very early on in our marriage was, “Always kiss hello and kiss goodbye.” It just keeps you connected.

Today (May 2), Shaggy will debut the album’s latest single “You” featuring the 19-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter Alexander Stewart with a performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS. Next week, the duo will grace the stage of ABC’s Good Morning America on Wednesday, May 8 followed by performances on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Tuesday, May 14 and Strahan & Sara on Friday, May 17. Wah Gwaan?! is Shaggy’s most personal album to date and an emblematic display of his rich sound influenced by all styles of music. He embodies his Jamaican roots on dancehall tracks like “Caribbean Way,” “Frenemy,” “Ketch Mi Up” and “Money Up” ft. Noah Powa. Shaggy balances the seductive energy of rising dancehall superstar Shenseea and GRAMMY-nominated R&B powerhouse vocalist Stacy Barthe on “Super Natural.” His musical worlds collide on “Body Good” ft. Nicky Jam, one of the biggest acts out of the urban Latino scene. Shaggy continues to spread his contagious joy on “Use Me” and “Makeup Sex” ft. Nyanda and reveals his introspective side on “Wrong Room,” an ode about his mother. The artist expands his global reach with the irresistible smash “You” ft. Alexander Stewart and “When She Loves Me” ft. Rayvon. Shaggy and Rayvon have a long hit-making history, spawning ‘90s & ‘00s mega anthems “In The Summertime,” “Angel” and “Big Up.” Shaggy also taps a diverse range of producers including the legendary dancehall brothers Tony CD Kelly and Dave Kelly, Martin Kierszenbaum (Sting, Lady Gaga), iLLWayno (Nicki Minaj, Nas, 2 Chainz), Kizzo and Costi Official. Wah Gwaan?! represents a robust musical journey by a musician/songwriter/entertainer/armed forces veteran that invites the listener in with vibrancy, urgency and hope. Most of all, it captures the Caribbean-forged, energy-infused, adventure-informed musical impulses of a one-of-kind original: Shaggy.

Shaggy will tour throughout the spring and summer. He will also join Sting for a series of shows spanning across the UK in late May performing songs off their recent GRAMMY winner for Best Reggae Album, entitled 44/876, as well as their own respective greatest hits, together.
