During its first week at radio, it became “#1 Most Added at Alternative.” Additionally, it debuted at #13 on the Billboard Dancechart. Dreamville Releases 1-888-88-DREAM

Like thieves in the night, Dreamville artists and its top executives swapped over their social media avatars to an image of a simple yellow brick wall. Late last night two teasers were posted to Dreamville’s Instagram previewing what was to come tonight — two hot tracks which come off the highly anticipated Dreamville compilation project via Interscope Records — Revenge of The Dreamers III. “Down Bad” and “Got Me” are a taste of what fans and friends can expect from the full project, to be released soon. 
“Down Bad” features a litany of fiery bars from the camp’s masterful lyricists, J.I.D, Bas, J. Cole and Olu from EARTHGANG, as well as a guest verse from Young Nudy; “Got Me” serves a sultry, summer drive-around vibe thanks to the dulcet tones of Dreamville’s R&B princess, Ari Lennox joined by Omen, Ty Dolla $ign and rapper Dreezy. McDonald’s accepts petition

Food activist and New York Times bestselling author Kathy Freston, who has led a national campaign for McDonald’s to add a plant-based burger to its menu, threw a massive party outside of McDonald’s headquarters in Chicago this afternoon, bringing 220,000 signatures from her Change.org petition calling for a vegan burger directly to McDonald’s. The petition delivery was accompanied by a carnival-like atmosphere, including Impossible Whopper taste tests, a Vegan Hamburglar, a balloon installation and more.

“We celebrated outside McDonald’s today to send the exact message that McDonald’s CEO said he wanted to hear: that customers were interested in a plant-based burger,” said Freston, who has been pushing McDonald’s for a plant-based burger for years. “Fast-food companies are adding plant-based options seemingly every week. How much more demand does McDonald’s need to hear before they listen to customers?”

Representatives from McDonald’s accepted petition starter Kathy Freston’s petition delivery today, but their Vice President of Global Communications, Michael Gonda, made this statement in response to the event: “As a customer obsessed, modern and progressive burger company, we’re committed to offering a variety of menu choices. That often starts by listening to customers to understand changing trends and evolving tastes—so any and all feedback is appreciated.”

“If feedback is what McDonald’s wants, feedback is what McDonald’s is going to continue to get,” said Tegan Gregory, Senior Campaigner at Change.org, the online petition platform where more than 220,000 people have signed a petition for McDonald’s to add a plant-based burger. “This petition is one of the largest food petitions in Change.org history, and even though McDonald’s refused to meet with activists today, they’re not going to be able to ignore the continuing demand for meat alternatives. Burger King, White Castle, Del Taco, Tim Horton’s and more are listening to customer demand, which is leaving everyone asking why McDonald’s is behind the curve.”

A recent study by GlobalData found that 70 percent of global consumers are lowering their meat intake or avoiding it altogether. Barclays predicts the market for meat substitutes could soar to US $140 billion over the next decade.

Valentino’s Latest Collaboration

Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino and Jun Takahashi of Undercover discuss how the reopening of the Valentino flagship store in Ginza, Japan brought the two designers together to create diverse and inclusive collections like never seen before.

 -Piccioli on collaborating with Takahashi: “The thing that interests me the most about collaborating with a designer like Jun is not the technical creative process in itself but the human exchange and, in our case, the cultural dialogue. That’s how you continuously learn and teach.”

-Takahashi on his inclusion of roses in the women’s collection: “Roses are beautiful, but they also have thorns. I am always attracted to this kind of duality, and this is at least why I chose them.”

Expert comment on Telegram cyber attack

Expert comment on Telegram cyber attack from Mark Skilton, Professor of Practice at Warwick Business School, who researches and consults on cyber security.

He said: “This type of attack is government censorship using cyber tools to block internet traffic. In this case it was massive overwhelming traffic noise targeting Telegram servers and networks to slow down the service in what is called ‘denial of service’.

“This was not a specific technology, but a distributed network attack on the internet ISP and NSP network providers. The strong encryption inside the Telegram app had no defence against the traffic level protocols and volume of traffic.

“To stop this type of attack would need new technology to block adversaries’ traffic before the network, something that is not possible if the Chinese government control and have access to that network currently. What typically happens is alternative telecoms networks might be used. But I suspect those too would be targeted for a full scale attack.

“However, we don’t know if it was a full wide scale internet attack or if it was a complete network wide attack. It seems some sophistication was used to target the Telegram app and user service. This may be a symptom of a more advanced distributed ‘denial of service’ acting as a swarm of attacks against specific targets.”

LAS VEGAS CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

Inaugural Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance Launches Video Announcing the First Vehicles to be Featured at the Exclusive Show on Oct. 26

This October, one of the most luxurious automotive experiences is cruising into the entertainment capital of the world for its inaugural year – the Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance (LVCE).

The event will be held Oct. 25 through Oct. 28 and will feature a curated collection of approximately 200 vehicles at DragonRidge Country Club at MacDonald Highlands. In addition to the car show on Saturday, Oct. 26, the four-day event will include an opening night gala at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center on Friday, Oct. 25, a Tour d’Elegance down the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday, Oct. 27 and a celebrity golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 28.

“Bringing a Concours d’Elegance to the entertainment capital of the world has always been a dream of mine and I couldn’t be more excited to show the Las Vegas community a collection of some of the most exquisite vehicles in the world,” said Stuart Sobek, Founder and Chairman of LVCE. “I’ve attended Concours d’Elegance events throughout the world for more than 30 years and I’m excited to launch an annual car show unlike any other in the country.”

The vehicles showcased in this video are: legendary automotive designer Peter Brock’s Superformance Cobra Daytona Coupe, a white 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Roadster, a 1933 Lincoln KA Rumble Seat Roadster and a white 2017 Acura NSX.

Additionally, one vehicle that will be making an iconic return to Las Vegas that will be featured in the show is Frank Sinatra’s very own 1961 Dual Ghia L.6.4 Hardtop. The vehicle will be heading down from the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nev. for the inaugural LVCE.

2019 LS Hybrid: The Rolls-Royce of Lexus

If you are in the market for an elegant yet bespoke type of vehicle, you definitely should consider the 2019 Lexus LS 500h. As of late, we decided to take this extremely luxurious sedan on a drive around the NYC metropolitan area to rendezvous with our east coast counterparts. Unlike the 2019 Audi A8L, 2019 BMW 740e or 2018 Mercedes-Benz S650, 2019 Lexus LS 500h is a vehicle which is filled with passion, performance and a boat load of technology.

Design

The design team was inspired by traditional Japanese design and culture for the 2019 Lexus LS 500h, offering meticulous craftsmanship with an array of appointments and newly pronounced spindle grille. Outside – the silhouette is sleek and athletic. Inside – the art wood herringbone, ambient lighting and hand pleated trim (reminiscent of origami) makes everyone who enters the cabin feel like Japanese royalty.

It’s astonishing how the company’s master craftspeople were able to fabricate their idea from a single piece of mesh (interlocking L-shaped pieces) into a reality. The complex process of its mouth started with the designer’s pen, and then a computer rendering took it further. But most importantly, the fine-tuning of the final production mold utilized Lexus Takumi craftsman Yasuhiro Nakashima’s highly trained hand. He helped it become more evocative and daring.

Technology

LS Hybrid is loaded with a vast amount of features which are comparable to many top luxury manufacturers such as Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Lexus Enform Remote, Rear-seat Touchscreen Controls, Satellite radio, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth capability and Remote Touchpad. Additionally, if you enjoy concert hall sound while driving, upgrade to the Mark Levinson Quantum Logic audio system. With this immersive 2400-watt audio package, the LS 500h provides an unprecedented listening experience for every person in the vehicle. This can be attributed to their 16 channels, 23-speaker injected surround system (four in the ceiling speakers and the largest subwoofer the manufacturer has ever used).

The LS 500 was built on the platform of the high-performance LC coupe, the LS 500 features Lexus’s first-ever twin-turbocharged engine. LS 500 has shared the same turbocharged V6 engine with the newest Audi A8L. However, LS 500h has 354hp with 257 lb-ft of torque (achieving 0 to 60 in just 5.1 secs in RWD or 5.2 secs in AWD). After six generations, the purveyors of this prestige hybrid sedan managed to maintain the industry’s leading benchmark in its class. It’s the first multi-stage hybrid luxury sedan and, contains the instinctive feel of a 10-speed automatic transmission, the most responsive and fastest LS Hybrid with a potent 354 valve Atkinson-cycle gas engine alongside of compact dual electric motors. Their lightest and most compact self battery. If you select different drive modes (from ECO to sport) you can transform from a town car into a spunky 4 seat space ship which rockets into action. With a 22.2 gallon tank, this 3.5L 6cyl gas/electric EVT flagship gets up to 25 mpg city/33 mpg highway.

Safety

LS 500h comes with anti-lock brakes and AWD which aids the vehicle’s ability to turn while braking, effortlessly gripping/stopping on most road conditions/terrains. Also, this model comes well-equipped with airbags: front, knee, overhead and seat side impact for the driver and their co-pilot. Another safety feature worth mentioning are the seat belt pretensioners which automatically tighten straps when abruptly coming to a halt.

Have you ever been on a road trip with traffic and consistently worrying about the sudden stops of the front car? There are no more worries when it comes to 2019 Lexus LS 500h. This model contains features like drivers assist, lane departure assist, park assist and the 360 backup camera which will assist you the best while driving on the highway as well as backing up on tiny roads. While driving in Manhattan in bumper to bumper traffic with pedestrians on all sides, tons of sensors and alerts warned us as people/vehicles (within our blind spots) approached the vehicle. The aforementioned came in handy as this vehicle has a longer wheelbase than its predecessor.

Ergonomics/Additional Features

Best of all, the driver’s seat (28-way adjustable) has 7-massage options for both you and the passenger. This is important for driver’s fatigue on long drives and helps circulate the blood in the lower/upper extremities. Even more, the model also has powered operated privacy screens in the back to block out the sun. Moreover, this model allows you to raise higher and lower by the press of a button so that you can avoid unnecessary scraping while driving up steep driveways.

Not to mention, with the executive package the backseats automatically recline when passengers enter (with ottoman). The climate concierge allows for massage features along with heated/cooling, ventilated seats for added comfort. Most of which can be controlled with the rear seat controls. If this doesn’t make you feel like an emperor/empress, we don’t know what will.

In short, the 2019 Lexus LS 500h is a perfect match for someone whom likes to drive and to be driven – a high profile executive, celebrity and/or a member of an elite dynasty. At approximately $107,000, this vehicle will provoke a certain level of importance. Instead of driving to meetings, most likely meetings will be held inside of it. It’s quiet, smooth suspension as well as hospitable yet intuitive tech make it one of the best in it’s class.
