ComplexCon Family Style Food Fest 2025

ComplexCon‘s Family Style Food Fest returns for another year of the most sought after eats, fashion, and art at Los Angeles Historic Park. Family Style is known for bridging cuisine and culture into bespoke experiences and tasteful moments. With kid friendly soccer games, designer merch, free food/liquor samples, and the air fragrant with rich aromas, it was the most upscale park hangout.

360 Magazine had the pleasure of partaking in the day’s festivities, noting some familiar faves like Howlin’ Ray’s chicken sando (in collab with brand Undefeated) and Häagen-Dazs icecream introducing a new Belgian Wafflecone flavor. Bubbling fashion line, 424, partnered with Indian fusion hotspot, Badmaash, serving steak frites, wine, all under a shaded sit-down dining experience.

Some new restaurants the team tried included New York based, Potluck Club, and their Cantonese-American style chicken with scallion biscuit. The spice from the pickled jalapenos conjured a savory hot burst of flavor with remnants of sweetness from their chili-plum jam.

Another favorite was Bricks & Wood x Two Hommés who fused Jamaican & Japanese cuisine for a mouthwatering beef noodle soup cooked to perfection. With immaculately seasoned broth and beef ever so tender, this is a must-try worth raving to your friends over.

Rapper-actor Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) was not only in attendance but also serving the new “pink moment” drink at the Jellyman booth. He originally helped start the boba tea flagship location in Silverlake with its presence buzzing across the neighborhoods for its unique flavors.

Marathon Burger, Interscope Records, and so many other brands were scattered about the lawn. Attendees had the option of purchasing GA or VIP tickets, with VIP including their own private section, open bar, and exclusive tastings. ComplexCon once again showed up with the tunes, bites, and trending collabs to close out the .

Ice Cube Releases Man Up 12th Studio Album

‘After Man Down, you gotta Man Up. I’ve been watching the climate of the culture lately, and I see a lot of overly sensitive people out there. I felt like it was time to share some street knowledge about what it really means to stand up and man up in a way that speaks to responsibility, resilience, and truth. This project is the right message for the times we’re living in because everybody’s being tested. And when life tests you, you either fold up or you Man Up.’Ice Cube

Entertainment mogul, entrepreneur, legend, and hip-hop icon Ice Cube returns with his 12th studio album, Man Up, out now via Lench Mob Records/Hitmaker Distribution on all digital streaming platforms. The 14-track set, executed by Ice Cube and executive-produced Tony Draper, follows last year’s critically acclaimed, chart-topping Man Down, and reaffirms Cube’s place as one of hip-hop’s most fearless truth-tellers and cultural commentators.

Man Up pairs unflinching lyricism with Cube’s signature West Coast grit to confront misconceptions and demand accountability—from institutions, communities, and ourselves. The project is a powerful social commentary that speaks directly to a moment where everyone is being tested, challenging listeners to rise, not retreat.

Highlights include the lead single, “Before Hip Hop,” a powerful statement track rejecting the lazy narrative that blames rap for systemic problems that predate the genre; “Act My Age” featuring Scarface, a generational summit meeting of rap royalty; “California Dreamin,” which flips Patrice Rushen’s “Forget Me Nots” into a sun-baked West Coast reality check; and “It’s My Ego 3Mix” with Nova Scotia’s Quake Matthews, winner of Cube’s viral fan-verse challenge—pulling fans directly into Cube’s creative process.

The release of Man Up arrives as Cube readies his Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour, celebrating 40 years of groundbreaking music. Kicking off Tuesday, September 16, in Denver, CO, the run will showcase new music alongside timeless classics including “It Was a Good Day,” “Check Yo Self,” and “You Can Do It.” Tickets for the tour are available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com.

“I’ve always stood on speaking truth to power and making music that reflects reality,” says Ice Cube. “Man Up is about accountability, resilience, and reminding people where the real problems come from. Hip hop didn’t create the struggle — it gave us the language to call it out.”

9 Creative Ideas for Thanksgiving Party

Thanksgiving is a special time when family, friends, and food unite. While it has its own traditions, adding creative touches can make the celebration unforgettable.

The right mix of entertainment, décor, and thoughtful details can turn any gathering into a memorable event.

Here are nine creative ideas for Thanksgiving parties that combine fun, warmth, and a touch of surprise.

1. Make Your Space Cozy and Creative with Décor

Decorating sets the mood for your Thanksgiving party. Go beyond the usual pumpkins and leaves for a festive and stylish ambiance.

  • Table Layered Settings: Use textured placements, chargers, and cloth napkins to elevate your dining table. Mix rustic elements, such as wood and burlap, with elegant touches like gold cutlery or glassware.
  • DIY Centerpieces: Fill mason jars with wheat stalks, cranberries, or floating candles for a personal touch and great conversation starters.
  • Warm Lighting: Hang fairy lights around the dining area or place lanterns by the entrance to create a warm and cozy glow.

Consider your décor as part of the experience. A well-designed space invites guests to linger and immerse themselves in the Thanksgiving spirit.

2. Host a Unique Thanksgiving Menu

Thanksgiving meals are heartwarming, but there’s no rule to stick solely to traditional recipes. Creative twists can add excitement!

  • Interactive Food Stations: Create a mashed potato bar with toppings like caramelized onions, cheese, bacon, and herbs.
  • Mini Desserts: Offer a variety of sweets like mini tarts, parfaits, and pumpkin spice cupcakes for guests to sample.
  • Global Influences: Incorporate international flavors, such as cranberry chutney with Indian spices or Mexican-style roasted corn.

The turkey is the centerpiece, but variety ensures every guest finds something they love, making your party memorable.

3. Plan Some Interactive Games and Activities

Thanksgiving is about togetherness, and playful activities help guests of all ages stay engaged.

  • Grateful Gift Jars: Provide slips of paper for guests to write what they’re thankful for and read them aloud after dinner.
  • Scavenger Hunt: Hide themed clues around your house or yard for a fun activity that kids will love, and adults may want to join in too.
  • Murder Mystery: Hosting a murder mystery party can bring more charm and excitement to your parties. However, you can even get a murder mystery party kit pack which includes everything you need to play with your friends.
  • Board Games & Puzzles: Stock a corner with games for guests who enjoy quieter entertainment.

4. Make a DIY Beverage Bar

Drinks can enhance any celebration, and a DIY beverage bar allows guests to customize their drinks creatively.

  • Hot Drink Station: Serve hot cider, hot chocolate, or mulled wine with toppings like whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, and marshmallows.
  • Mocktail Corner: Combine sparkling water with fruit juices and festive garnishes for non-drinkers and kids.
  • Signature Cocktail: Develop a Thanksgiving-inspired cocktail, such as a cranberry mojito or spiced apple sangria, and name it after your family or event theme.

This not only sparks lively conversations but also takes the pressure off you to constantly serve drinks.

5. Create a Gratitude Wall or Board

Creating a Gratitude Wall or Board is a wonderful way to foster positivity and appreciation within a group or community.

This interactive display allows individuals to share what they are thankful for, promoting a sense of connection and encouraging mindfulness.

To set up your Gratitude Wall, gather materials such as a large board or a wall space, along with sticky notes, markers, or pins.

Invite participants to write down their expressions of gratitude and attach them to the board.

6. Include Live Entertainment or DIY Performances

Live entertainment brings joy! Encourage family and friends to showcase their talents during gatherings.

  • Musical Performances: Invite a guest for guitar, piano, or seasonal songs.
  • Comedy Hour: Kids can perform a mini skit or comedy routine.
  • Trivia Game: Host a Thanksgiving trivia challenge with small prizes.

If you want professional entertainment, hire a local musician or magician. However, the most meaningful performances often come from people in your own circle.

7. Design a Photo-Worthy Space

Guests enjoy taking photos, and setting up a photo area makes it more fun.

  • Backdrop Ideas: Consider utilizing a blanket in fall colors, incorporating string lights, or setting up themed banners to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Props: Enhance the festive spirit by providing items such as pilgrim hats, turkey cutouts, or cheerful signs for guests to hold during photos.
  • Polaroid or Instant Camera: Encourage guests to capture memories by allowing them to take instant photos, which they can take home as souvenirs from the event.

Adding engaging activities into your party not only enhances the overall experience but also guarantees that you will capture numerous memorable moments throughout the event.

8. Delight Your Guests with Custom Party Favors

Party favors don’t have to be extravagant to create a memorable experience for your guests. In fact, it’s the small, thoughtful gifts that often resonate the most, leaving a lasting impression long after the celebration is over. Let the little touches speak volumes about how much you appreciate their presence!

9. End Up Everything with a Cozy Tradition

Wrap up the evening with a cherished tradition:

  • Outdoor Fire Pit: Roast marshmallows and sip cider under the stars.
  • Storytelling Circle: Share family stories or childhood Thanksgiving memories.
  • Movie Night: Enjoy a cozy Thanksgiving-themed film to relax.

These traditions make holidays timeless. However, the addition of personal touches ensures guests leave with warm hearts and happy memories.

Conclusion

Throwing a Thanksgiving party goes beyond cooking a turkey and setting the table. It’s about fostering an atmosphere of gratitude and togetherness. There are countless ways to make your gathering unforgettable.

These nine creative ideas combine everything to elevate your celebration. and leave guests talking long after the holiday.

This year, give your loved ones an experience, not just a meal. When creativity meets tradition, Thanksgiving transforms into unforgettable memories.

Why Is My Personal Injury Case Going to Trial? Key Insights for Victims

Most personal injury cases settle out of court, leaving many victims confused when their attorneys recommend taking cases to trial instead of accepting settlement offers. The decision to go to trial isn’t made lightly because litigation involves additional time, expense, and uncertainty that most people prefer to avoid.

Many clients ask, “why is my personal injury case going to trial?” when they assumed their case would settle like most others they hear about. Often, the answer involves lowball insurance offers, disputed liability, or high damages that deserve jury consideration rather than accepting inadequate compensation through settlement.

Understanding why some cases need trials helps victims make informed decisions about settlement offers while recognizing when fighting in court serves their long-term interests better than quick resolutions. Trials seek fairness when negotiation fails to produce just outcomes for seriously injured people.

When Insurance Companies Refuse Fair Offers

Insurance companies sometimes refuse to offer reasonable settlements even when liability is clear and damages are well-documented, forcing victims to seek justice through jury trials. These companies calculate that many people will accept lowball offers rather than enduring the stress and uncertainty of litigation.

Systematic lowball offers from certain insurers create patterns that experienced attorneys recognize and counter through trial strategies designed to achieve fair compensation. Some insurance companies have corporate policies that encourage fighting cases rather than paying fair settlements, requiring legal pressure to change their approach.

Bad faith insurance practices including unreasonable claim denials, delayed investigations, and inadequate settlement offers often require trials to hold insurers accountable for their conduct. Judges and juries can punish insurance companies for bad faith behavior through enhanced damage awards that exceed simple compensation.

Economic calculations by insurance companies sometimes favor trial risks over fair settlements when they believe legal costs will be less than adequate compensation. These corporate decisions prioritize shareholder profits over fair treatment of accident victims, requiring judicial intervention to achieve justice.

Complex Medical Causation and Contested Expert Testimony

Disputed medical causation cases often require trials when insurance companies hire experts who contradict treating physicians about injury causes and future medical needs. These battles of experts can only be resolved through jury trials where both sides present their evidence for evaluation.

Pre-existing condition arguments by insurance companies attempt to blame current problems on previous injuries rather than recent accidents, requiring medical expert testimony that juries must evaluate. These complex medical issues often can’t be resolved through settlement negotiations alone.

Degenerative condition claims by insurance companies argue that accident victims would have developed similar problems anyway due to aging or genetic factors, requiring expert medical testimony to establish the accident’s role in accelerating or causing symptoms. These scientific disputes need jury resolution.

Future medical care projections often involve disagreements between medical experts about ongoing treatment needs and costs that settlement negotiations can’t resolve. Life care planners and medical economists provide conflicting testimony that requires jury evaluation to determine fair compensation.

Jury Valuation vs. Actuarial Settlement Math

Pain and suffering damages resist precise calculation, making jury evaluation necessary when insurance company formulas produce inadequate compensation for serious injuries. Juries consider human impact that actuarial calculations can’t capture through mathematical formulas alone.

Catastrophic injury cases often exceed insurance company settlement authority because regional claims adjusters aren’t authorized to offer compensation that reflects the true scope of lifetime damages. These high-value cases require corporate approval that companies often refuse, forcing trial resolution.

Comparative negligence disputes about fault percentages can dramatically affect case values in ways that settlement negotiations can’t resolve fairly. Juries must evaluate evidence about accident causation and assign fault percentages that determine final compensation amounts.

Economic loss calculations involving lost earning capacity, reduced life expectancy, and future medical inflation create complex valuations that insurance companies often dispute. These sophisticated economic analyses require jury consideration when parties can’t agree on appropriate methodologies or assumptions.

Life at Trial: Preparation, Testimony, and Risks

Extensive preparation periods before trial involve witness preparation, exhibit creation, and legal research that can take months to complete properly. Trials require comprehensive presentation of evidence that settlement negotiations don’t demand, making preparation crucial for success.

Client testimony becomes central to trial outcomes because juries want to hear directly from injured victims about how accidents affected their lives. This personal testimony often proves more persuasive than medical records or expert opinions alone.

Expert witness battles define many personal injury trials as both sides present competing opinions about medical causation, economic losses, and accident reconstruction. Jury evaluation of expert credibility often determines case outcomes more than legal arguments.

Verdict uncertainty creates risks for both sides because juries might award more or less than settlement offers, making trial decisions involve calculated gambles about achieving better outcomes. These risks must be weighed against the certainty of known settlement amounts.

Conclusion

Trials become necessary when settlement negotiations fail to produce fair compensation for seriously injured accident victims who deserve adequate financial recovery. The decision to go to trial reflects strategic calculations about achieving justice rather than accepting inadequate insurance company offers.

Understanding trial dynamics helps victims make informed decisions about settlement offers while recognizing when fighting in court serves their interests better than quick resolutions. Some cases simply can’t be resolved fairly without jury intervention to evaluate evidence and determine appropriate compensation.

The litigation process seeks justice through careful presentation of evidence to impartial juries who can evaluate complex medical, economic, and legal issues that settlement negotiations can’t resolve adequately. Trials represent the ultimate accountability mechanism when insurance companies refuse to treat accident victims fairly.

Divorce in Connecticut article via 360 MAGAZINE.

Common Mistakes to Avoid During a Connecticut Divorce

Divorce in Connecticut brings its own set of complexities, from navigating property division laws to understanding custody requirements. The legal landscape covers everything from asset distribution to support calculations, and there’s plenty of room for confusion when you’re trying to figure it all out.

When you’re dealing with the emotional weight of ending a marriage, it’s incredibly easy to make decisions that’ll come back to haunt you later. Many of these problems happen because people rush through the process, miss important legal details, or simply don’t know what their rights and obligations actually are. Getting clear answers to common questions that arise during a divorce can save you from serious setbacks.

We’ll walk through the biggest mistakes people make during Connecticut divorces, covering financial fumbles, custody oversights, and why skipping professional guidance usually backfires in most cases.

Not Understanding Connecticut’s Divorce Laws

Connecticut has specific residency requirements that catch some people off guard. You or your spouse need to have lived in the state for at least 12 months before filing, unless the marriage happened in Connecticut or the reason for divorce occurred after moving here. Missing this detail can delay your entire case.

The state follows equitable distribution for property, which doesn’t mean a 50-50 split. Courts consider factors like marriage length, each spouse’s income, and contributions to the household when dividing assets. Many people assume they’ll automatically get half of everything, then feel blindsided when the judge sees things differently.

Understanding your rights upfront prevents nasty surprises later. Connecticut allows no-fault divorce based on irretrievable breakdown, but knowing the grounds and procedures helps you prepare properly rather than scrambling to catch up mid-process.

Mishandling Financial Disclosures

Complete honesty about finances isn’t optional in Connecticut divorce proceedings. You’re required to provide detailed records of income, assets, debts, and expenses. Leaving out bank accounts, retirement funds, or investment portfolios can seriously damage your credibility with the judge.

Some spouses try hiding assets or downplaying their value, thinking they’ll come out ahead. This strategy usually backfires spectacularly. Connecticut courts have tools to uncover hidden money, and when they find it, the consequences go beyond just losing those assets.

Your financial transparency directly affects property division and support decisions. Judges remember when someone wasn’t forthcoming, and that broken trust influences their rulings on other matters. Being upfront from the start protects your reputation and ensures fair treatment throughout the case.

Overlooking Custody and Parenting Plans

Getting caught up in conflict with your ex often means losing sight of what actually matters for your kids. Connecticut courts prioritize the children’s best interests, not which parent can make the strongest argument against the other. Focusing on blame and past grievances rarely helps your custody case.

Many parents propose unrealistic schedules that sound good on paper but fall apart in practice. If you’re asking for arrangements that don’t work with school, activities, or work schedules, you’re setting everyone up for failure. Courts prefer practical plans that actually function in real life.

Having a detailed, court-approved parenting plan isn’t just paperwork. It’s your roadmap for co-parenting success and protects both parents when disagreements arise later. Skipping this step or rushing through it creates ongoing headaches that could’ve been avoided with proper planning upfront.

Letting Emotions Drive Decisions

The urge to rush into agreements just to get everything over with is understandable, but it often leads to regret. Divorce terms affect your life for years to come, so decisions made in the heat of emotional turmoil rarely serve your long-term interests. Taking time to think things through pays off.

Using divorce proceedings to get back at your spouse typically backfires. Connecticut judges see right through vengeful behavior, and it reflects poorly on your character. Courts want to see mature adults who can focus on practical solutions, not someone looking to settle scores.

Keeping the bigger picture in mind helps you make smarter choices. What feels satisfying in the moment might cost you significantly down the road. Getting some emotional distance before making major decisions protects your future financial security and relationship with your children.

Skipping Legal or Professional Help

Handling your own divorce might seem like a money-saving move, but it’s often penny-wise and pound-foolish. Connecticut divorce law involves complicated statutes, court procedures, and paperwork requirements that trip up even educated people. One missed deadline or filing error can derail your entire case.

Beyond legal representation, financial advisors and custody evaluators bring valuable expertise to complex situations. They help you understand the long-term implications of different settlement options and can spot issues you might miss on your own.

Professional guidance prevents costly mistakes that are much harder to fix later. The money you spend on qualified help upfront typically saves you much more in the long run by avoiding problems, delays, and unfavorable outcomes that could’ve been prevented with proper representation.

Conclusion

The most damaging mistakes in Connecticut divorces usually involve misunderstanding state laws, botching financial disclosures, neglecting proper custody planning, making emotional decisions, and trying to handle everything alone. Each of these errors can significantly impact your financial future and relationship with your children.

Avoiding these common pitfalls makes the entire process smoother and less stressful. When you understand the legal requirements, stay organized with your finances, focus on your kids’ needs, keep emotions in check, and get professional help when needed, you’re setting yourself up for success.

Preparation, awareness, and good professional guidance protect both your legal rights and your long-term stability. Connecticut divorce doesn’t have to be a disaster if you know what mistakes to avoid and take the right steps from the beginning.

The new wing system significantly enhances riding stability. In combination with ergonomically optimized control grips, it assures a ride that remains perfectly controllable even at high speeds: intense, precise, and confident.

Unprecedented high-speed thanks to the new Performance Board

If you’re aiming for peak performance, the optional Performance Board is the ultimate upgrade. Mounted on the rear of the SEABOB, it adds extra stability especially at top speeds. It doesn’t just elevate the upper body; it elevates the entire riding experience so that rather than gliding, riders fly across the water.

Design meets emotion: Lamborghini DNA on water

The design language is bold and unexpected. Every line echoes Lamborghini’s iconic design, from aerodynamic edges to the unmistakable silhouette and bold stance. Exclusive paint finishes in original Lamborghini colors; premium materials; and a digital cockpit styled like a super sports car underscore its automotive DNA. Even the start button evokes the typical Lamborghini feeling. The SEABOB for Automobili Lamborghini brings Italian automotive flair to the open sea: a brave aesthetic statement for those who live for speed and follow the concept of ‘fun to drive’.

Original Lamborghini paint finishes offered are: Arancio Egon, Verde Gea, Grigio Lynx, Verde Selvans, Giallo, Bianco Siderale.
