Int’l Model + Influencer Angelina Galt

Q: How difficult was it to get signed to a major agency?

A: In some ways it was difficult and, in some ways, not. When I was starting my carrier and nobody has heard my name, it was difficult to get in the loop. But having worked really hard and built up a large portfolio I was able to sign with my first agency. After that first agency, other agencies have opened up doors to me. It all depends on the amount of work that you are willing you put in.

Q: Have you always had a mother agent? If so, what are the advantages of having one?

A: I didn’t always have a mother agency, but I am now signed to one on a short contract. Having a mother agent is very helpful in the beginning as it can connect you to agencies around the world. They are like the middleman.

Q: Where did you inherit your innate style?

A: I have always experimented with style from a young age. I went through almost every “phase” of dressing up that you can imagine and, in the end, found my sweet spot. My current style is a mix of everything I have tried and truly reflects my inner self. Style isn’t money and it can’t be bought with it.

Q: What was it like growing up in your hometown? Do you ever visit and do they recognize you?

A: I never quite got to grow up in my hometown. I was born in Russia then moved to Thailand at the age of 2. Thailand is a beautiful and unique place that has thought me things I would have never learned elsewhere. Sadly, I have not gotten a chance to Visit since we left to come to America. I hope to go back for a trip in the near future.

Q: How did you book your first cover? Through agency or publicist?

A: Neither, I booked my first cover through my manager. While we were building up my portfolio, a magazine reached out to us asking to have a shoot and interview, to which of course I said yes!

Q: What’s next for you?

A: I plan to sign with multiple agencies around the world. I also am currently working on my Angelina Galt foundation, that helps talented children reach their goals.

Q: Any community service involvement?

A: The Angelina Galt Foundation is a non-profit organization made only to raise money for children. While doing community service is a great way of giving back to the world, I wanted to start my own foundation.

Q: What words of advice would offer aspiring talent and models?

A: First of all, believe in yourself. Seriously. No matter what anybody says and no matter how many times you think you have failed. Keep fighting for it and it will be yours. Enjoy yourself at all times and be the best that you can. Don’t pretend to be anyone else to get noticed because you want people to fall in love with you. If you become your authentic self, people will be drawn to that kind of energy.

Local Natives Concert Review

On Saturday night, a five-piece-indie-rock band, Local Natives brought the energy to the Palladium with their symphonic tones, unique instrumentals, and airy soft lyrics. The LA native band played multiple songs throughout the night from their new album Violet Streets. This album explores adulthood, love, and friendships.

The band opened the show with a piece called “Vogue” from their album Violet Streets. The band then quickly livened up the audience by singing one of their older songs, “Sun Hands” in which lead singer, Taylor Rice jumped into the sea of screaming fans to crowd surf.

The fans continued screaming throughout the show, especially once the band played the song, “Fountains of Youth”, which was a song released in November of 2016, right before the elections took place.

The group finished their set with the song “When Am I Gonna Lose You”, which lead singer, Rice, explained was an ode to love. As the LA native boy band announced their last song, the crowd was in tears. The phrase “encore” could be heard from miles away. The band came back on to perform a few more songs until they had to say their last goodbye.

Complete with stunning light shows, seamless transitions, and phenomenal vocals, the Local Natives seemed to impress the crowd.

To go back to a dive bar with Bud Light and connect with my fans in an intimate setting is something I could not have been more excited to do.”

Unique Stress-Relief Methods You Should Try

Over 40 percent of Americans report dealing with stress on a daily basis. Working a full-time job and raising a family can be overwhelming at times. Waiting too long to get a handle on your stress can result in physical and mental health issues.

Finding a hobby is a great way to take your mind off of stress. Most people completely focus on the enjoyment of performing an activity they love, which allows them to focus less on what is going on at work or with their personal finances.

Here are some unique stress relief methods you may want to try out.

Going to the Gun Range Can Be Enjoyable

Are you looking for a hobby that can offer a rush of adrenaline? If so, going to the gun range on a regular basis may be just what you need. Establishments like Bellevue Gun Club offer a safe and enjoyable environment for their clients to shoot guns in.

Not only can you take up gun shooting as a hobby, but you can actually compete as well. If you enjoy it enough, you can even consider getting your own firearm license and purchasing a gun along with finding secure gun storage. If you feel like you have what it takes to be the best shooter in your area, start to participate in tournaments. Even if you don’t win, you can make some new friends and make memories in one of these competitions.

If you feel like you have what it takes to be the best shooter in your area, start to participate in tournaments. Even if you don’t win, you can make some new friends and make memories in one of these competitions.

Taking a Trip Can Help You Get Away From Stress

Getting up and going to work day in and day out can start to wear on a person after a while. If you feel like you are stuck in a routine and need a break from the hustle and bustle of your daily life, then taking a vacation is probably a good idea. Luckily, there are tons of vacation destinations to choose from.

If you are trying to be economical, you need to do some research about accommodations in the area you will be visiting. Websites like Airbnb offer luxurious homes for a very affordable rate. The key to having a good vacation rental experience is checking the reviews the property in question has received. Taking the time to look at these reviews can help you avoid getting taken advantage of.

Let’s Get Physical

If you are looking for a way to blow off some steam after a rough day in the office, you need to think about hitting the gym. Not only can working out help you reduce the amount of stress in your life, but it can also help you get into great shape. Participating in more extreme workouts like kickboxing or even the ever-popular CrossFit can be a lot of fun.

When you are working out at a fever pace, you will not have time to dwell on the stress in your life. If you can afford it, you may want to invest in a personal trainer.

Volunteering Is a Great Idea

Do you have a number of social causes that you are passionate about? If you answered yes, then volunteering to help with these causes is a great way to reduce stress.

Not only will you be helping yourself by relieving stress, but you will also be helping your fellow man. Most charitable organizations are always looking for a helping hand, which means you should have no problem finding volunteer opportunities in your area.

Being Consistent Is Key

If you don’t stick with your new hobby, you will be unable to reap the stress-relief benefits this activity can provide. This is why you need to focus on being consistent regardless of the hobby you choose.

K-Syran performs

In K-Syran‘s Words:

What a week! From my shoot in a studio in London where I stayed 3 hours in a pool filming underwater shots in the beautiful Three Graces dresses, to flying to Malaga for my Manilva Pride gig.

Spain is beautiful with it’s gorgeous coast line and delicious food.
I arrived the day before so that I could get to enjoy swimming in the sea.
On the big day, Saturday, I was picked up by a lovely man who volunteered to help out. This is why I love performing for GayPride; it’s a celebration of love and everyone is so generous and helpful. The tech went brilliantly with super talented producer Dan Boots and team from Intimacy Records attending, checking sound and images. I didn’t get to meet my dancers but lucky to finally meet amazing Christian Lee Dun who organises Manilva Pride.

We were all picked up at around ten thirty, I was dolled up in my striking green K-Syran designer dress by renowned Zaid Farouki and jewlery by Esfir Jewels – I felt like a diva! There were thousands of people already attending cheering and having a wonderful time.

I had the best time ever on stage with them and the loving fun audience cheering us on. Such a thrill to perform my own songs live in front of an audience who are so warm and generous and to see them dancing to my tunes makes me feel that all the work I do is defiantly worth it!
