SHM – PARADISE AGAIN

Global supergroup Swedish House Mafia have just announced that their long awaited debut full length Paradise Again is set for release April 15 via Republic Records, just before the trio head back to the desert for a landmark performance at this year’s Coachella Festival. In conjunction with the announcement, the band have shared a new single and accompanying music video for “Redlight,” an obsidian club banger featuring a stunning vocal performance by the legendary Sting, recreating one of the most classic refrains from his storied oeuvre. The new song was preceded by other album singles “It Gets Better,” “Lifetime (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & 070 Shake),” and their collaboration with pop auteur The Weeknd “Moth To a Flame.”

Details of the album release, initially teased in a cover story for Billboard Magazine last Summer, were announced earlier today via a cover story for SPIN in which the trio detail their history and the winding path that culminated into Paradise Again (read it here). The run up to the album has been riddled with highlights, including a special performance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, a landmark performance at the MTV VMAs pre-show, and their recent nomination for iHeartRadio’s Dance Artist of the Year (more info here) and the success of their “Sacrifice” single with The Weeknd.’

This Summer Swedish House Mafia will head out on an international tour produced by Live Nation, their first proper run since 2012. In addition to their special performances at Coachella, the 2022 jaunt includes arenas across the United States and Europe – full dates below.

Premium Timepieces Feature 25 Individually Polished Components Assembled Precisely for a Timepiece that Showcases Craftsmanship

Casio introduces the newest additions to its pinnacle G-SHOCK MR-G lineup with the launch of the MRGB5000 series. With the new models, the MRGB5000D-1 and MRGB5000B-1, the trademark square shape of the original G-SHOCK DW5000 is elevated to provide shock resistance with the addition of premium materials and the artisan craftsmanship and quality that the MR-G series represents. The enhanced bezel and case have been constructed of 25 individual components with Sallaz polishing applied to each part prior to assembly, giving the watches a stunning, elegant finish.

The new MRGB5000 models pay homage to the original G-SHOCK, DW5000C, by retaining the iconic brick pattern and red outline of the original G-SHOCK dial design. The MRGB5000B-1 is crafted with a DLC coating on the case and band to deliver enhanced wear resistance and a sleek, all-black look that pays tribute to G-SHOCK’s signature brand color. Gold-colored ion plating on the buttons and screw-lock case back evoke the refinement of the MR-G series as well. The silver-colored MRGB5000D-1 is made with a titanium carbide finish to enhance the beauty of its bezel and band.

The bezels of the new timepieces are made from premium materials, such as COBARION, a cobalt-chrome alloy that is four times harder than titanium and is part of a 25-piece Multi-Guard Structure, specifically developed for the MRGB5000, to protect the module with superior shock-absorption by incorporating flat springs and resin buffers between the components of the watch. Additionally, Ti64 is used for the case and the band employs DAT55G, a titanium alloy about three times harder than pure titanium to further enhance the absolute toughness of the models.

In addition, the MRGB5000D-1 and MRGB5000B-1 boast premium G-SHOCK technical features including Bluetooth® functionality that allows the watch to be connected to a smartphone via the CASIO Watches app, MULTIBAND 6 Atomic Timekeeping, Tough Solar Charging, Super LED illumination, and more.

What to Do When Your Car Breaks Down

Breaking down is many people’s worst nightmare and it can completely ruin your day. Having to pull your car over to the side of the road and wait in the rain for help is not what you expect to be doing when you set off on your journey.

Aside from being an unenjoyable and embarrassing experience, a breakdown can be costly, whether you have a fuel-based or electric vehicle. If it has been caused by an underlying issue in your car, you could end up spending hundreds getting it fixed.

If your vehicle has never broken down before, you might have no idea how to deal with it. But knowing what to do when your car breaks down can save you a lot of time if and when it happens.

Here are some top tips on what you should do in the event of a breakdown.

Move Your Car to the Side of the Road

Whether you’re driving on a main road, side road, or motorway, your priority must be to get your car out of the road. Put your hazard lights on and move your vehicle to the side of the road or the hard shoulder.

Once your car is safely out of the way of other vehicles, everybody should vacate the car. If you’re traveling with animals, keep them safe in the car.

It’s not always possible to push your vehicle onto the hard shoulder if you’re driving on the motorway. If this is the case, stay in the car with your seatbelt fastened, put your hazard lights on, and call the emergency services.

Call Your Breakdown Provider

Many people try and wave down a passing car in the hopes that the driver will be able to help. Many people carry a pair of vehicle boosting cables in their cars that can be used to jump-start other vehicles.

However, it isn’t always possible to flag somebody down. Even if you do, there’s no guaranteeing that they will have the right equipment to get your car started again.

If you have a breakdown provider, now is the time to call them. You will need the details of your vehicle and your location. If you aren’t sure where you are, try to find significant landmarks that you can point out to the person on the phone.

Once you have called your breakdown provider, sit and wait. Don’t try to repair anything or move your car elsewhere. You have to be patient and stay put!

If you don’t have a mobile phone with you, try and walk to the nearest emergency phone. These will be clearly defined and they should be placed at regular intervals along the highway.

Your breakdown provider may take 30 minutes or they may take several hours to reach you. When they arrive, they will l fix your car by the side of the road and help you to get going.

If you’re returning to a busy motorway, you’ll need to build up your speed on the hard shoulder so that you can safely merge back in with the oncoming traffic.

As with previous adidas x IVY PARK offerings, this latest collection features distinct looks with inclusive and in gender-neutral sizing in fashion styles, performance gear, footwear, and accessories.  The line is available online at adidas.com on February 9th and February 10th in selection stores globally.

The Campaign

This cinematic campaign focuses on the guiding thematic color behind the collection. In the Western world, red is commonly associated with love, romance and sensuality. While in the East, red is attributed to good fortune and joy. Wherever you are, it’s clear that this color represents positivity. The concept is centered around bringing people together from all different backgrounds through this one color that’s sentimental to so many. This theme is illustrated through enhanced lighting, bold yet minimal production design, elevated styling and most importantly the international cast. Cultural cues from specific iconography and symbols are explored in visual motifs with sensitivity and intention. IVY PARK pays homage to various cultures inspired by this color, incorporating red through a futuristic yet authentic lens.

The campaign is led by a diverse cast of models, including actress and model Karrueche Tran, model and actor Tyson Beckford, singer/songwriter, actor Troye Sivan, model and actress Shu Pei and actress/comedian Naomi Watanabe.

The Collection

No matter how you define it, love – most importantly love of one’s self – is at the core of IVY PARK’s newest drop. Is all entertainment online in modern times?

The way in which we all receive, view, and enjoy entertainment has completely changed over the last couple of decades as technological advancements have seemingly made traditional methods appear to become outdated, old-fashioned, and even obsolete in some cases.

Indeed, when you think of the traditional forms of entertainment, some may begin to think about methods such as books, radio, and even traditional TV as many no longer watch it in the same way that they used to.

Gamers will have noticed that video games have been able to evolve just as much as the other traditional forms of entertainment in the modern era, as they are able to experience some of the ultimate gaming experiences that were not available to them just a few years ago.

No matter how old you are or where you live, Pinterest is the best place to find inspiration, because billions of ideas come from all over the world.

The number of searches for “artistic makeup” is up 106% and 142% in the respective age groups for women in their twenties and thirties. Pinterest is mainly used by women to get to know one another and express their personalities. A good way to do this is to use their face as a canvas. Meanwhile, women over sixty are seeking a natural makeup (+77%). On the other hand, women in their twenties are more likely to opt for a 1960s style, with (+59%) bold makeup. The older the woman, the more bold the makeup.

Women in their late thirties and forties search for “makeup videos” (up 131% and 150% respectively) and older women, who look up “eye makeup tutorials” (74% and 140% respectively). Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa is celebrating a milestone 100 years in July 2022, creating memorable vacations for guests at its stunning lakeside location deep in the Wyoming backcountry of the Shoshone National Forest since its construction in 1922 as a stopover for travelers to Yellowstone National Park. The year was 1922: President Warren G. Harding spoke at the dedication of the newly commissioned Lincoln Memorial. Construction began on the original Yankee Stadium. The Girl Scouts started making their very first sugar cookies to sell door to door, and Prohibition trudged on. Meanwhile, the year also saw the creation of a much-needed stopover for travelers heading to Yellowstone National Park, a comfortable haven for outdoor adventure in a perfect mountain destination. The resulting Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa celebrates its centennial anniversary this July. Initially called the Two-Gwo-Tee Inn, the Shoshone word for “spear,” the 100-year-old lodge is nestled in the Rocky Mountain wilds of Wyoming adjacent to 300-acre alpine Brooks Lake. That ideal location quickly helped the original remote inn transform into a dude ranch and then into the luxury guest ranch and all-inclusive resort it is today.
