Today, award-winning globally renowned electronic music producer NETSKY shares a new club anthem “Ice Cold” [feat. David Guetta] via Republic Records and Casablanca Records. Get it HERE. Watch official visualizer HERE.

“Ice Cold” opens the duality of upcoming Palmtrees & Powerlines, the two-part project that explores both NETSKY’s magnetic brand of pop music (on Palmtrees) and his genre-bending innovation as a creator of club tracks (onPowerlines). “Ice Cold”, with its dancefloor vibes, finds its home in Powerlines, where previously released “Téquila Limonada” feat. A.CHAL, aligns with Palmtrees. Each song from Palmtrees & Powerlines will find a place within one of these two worlds NETSKY has built.

About their “Ice Cold” collaboration, Guetta excitedly said, “Working with NETSKY on this track was amazing. He’s such a great producer, and I’m really happy with the end result.

NETSKY recently produced two cuts on the Guetta’s recent album 7, including “Light Headed” [feat. Sia] and “Battle” [feat. Faouzia].

“’Ice Cold’ was such a fun song to make.” NETSKY adds about the new song, “I remember both Stargate and David Guetta making me crank up this demo in a LA studio and all of us vibing to it together. Working with David was amazing, it was inspiring seeing his work routine and energy in studio and I’m so excited to be releasing this single today.”

Stay tuned for more to come from Palmtrees & Powerlines.

ABOUT NETSKY:
NETSKY quietly emerged as not only Belgium’s hottest musical export this decade, but also as a tried-and-true electronic music trendsetter. Beyond standout sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Pukkelpop, and beyond, he drew a capacity crowd of 18,000 in 2017 in Antwerp’s Sportpaleis Arena. He envisioned and ignited “Netsky & Friends” as an extension of his creative influence, curating and hosting a stage at Tomorrowland and descending on numerous other markets throughout 2018 and beyond. Among countless awards, he became the highest ranking drum ‘n’ bass DJ in the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 in addition to making history as “the youngest ever recipient of the Flemish Culture Award for Music.Amidst a catalog of hits, his smash “Rio” attracted a feature from hip-hop titan Mackelmore on the “Rio Remix”—which would be noted as an unofficial Olympics 2016 anthem. Appropriately, he served as the official artist ambassador for the Belgian Olympic team. Everyone from Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa to Jack Ü has also sought him out for remixes. However, he truly goes worldwide in partnership with Republic Records and Casablanca Records, and the upcoming release of Palmtrees & Powerlines.

SG Lewis Releases “Hurting”

Today songwriter, producer and musician SG Lewis share his new single “Hurting”featuring internationally acclaimed British songstress AlunaGeorge. The track marks the first single from Dark; the second phase of his upcoming three-part concept albumDusk, Dark, Dawn.

Check out “Hurting” Here!

SG Lewis scores percussive basslines alongside arpeggiated synth melodies to accompany AlunaGeorge’s honeyed vocals as she pines after lost love. The resultant track is a dream-worthy collaboration ready for any dance floor.

Speaking on the track, SG says “Aluna and I met for the first time in LA earlier this year, and I was talking to her about the album concept, and in particular, Dark. Aluna has been a part of so many dance records that I love, so I knew I wanted to make a club track with her! After we ate burritos and hung out, we made “Hurting” super quickly – the whole process was super natural between the two of us, and she has such an amazing ear for production.”

“Hurting” is the latest in a long run of exceptional collabs for SG, with his upcoming album featuring J Warner, Kartell and a host of others yet to be announced. His recent single, “Better” featuring Clairo instantly became a viral hit last month and was labelled “addictive” by Pigeons and Planes with Hypebeast calling it “the perfect summer jam.” After an incredible run of dates across Europe, America, Australia and Asia so far this year, SG also recently announced a massive US headline tour kicking off at Washington DC’s Union Stage on September 25th and making stops atBrooklyn’s Elsewhere on September 28th & 29th and LA’s The Fonda Theater on October 19th.

This year, SG Lewis began releasing music from his ambitious three-part album Dusk, Dark, Dawn. In his first Phase, Dusk, SG imagined the trajectory of one night out in club music and is a loving tribute to club and youth culture. Referencing a wide breadth of styles and genres, Dusk used disco, west coast hip-hop and 80s electro to set the scene. Now in Phase 2, Dark uses heavier styles like techno and rap to move the crowd into the night.

SG LEWIS RELEASES ‘DUSK’

Songwriter and producer SG Lewis shares ‘Dusk’. The 6-track release is the first chapter of his three-part dedication to club music: ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’ and is available to buy and stream now via all partners.

Presented over three phases, ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’ maps the trajectory of one night out over the course of an album, matching genres and tempos different stages of that night, beginning at sun-down, both inside and outside the club. On ‘Dusk’, SG Lewis plays with disco, west coast hip-hop and 80’s electro references to start the story. “Disco has always had the association of the start of a night for me. I spent a lot a time as a resident DJ in clubs and disco was always that magnetic genre, always brought people onto the dancefloor.” Lead single ‘Aura’ blends SG’s signature warm, uptempo house with disco inflections. “There’s an undeniable beauty to this part of the night. The apprehension, excitement… ‘Dusk’ is the warm-up for the heavier, darker things to come.”

The 6-track release includes features with J Warner and Kartell (Roche Musique) and will be released in full on April 6th via Casablanca/Republic Records. The project will soon segue into ‘Dark’ – a phase dedicated to harder, post-midnight club music styles like techno and hip-hop – and finally ‘Dawn’, dedicated to euphoria and chillout. Throughout the week SG Lewis has been touring across the UK with his final sold out show happening tomorrow at London’s Electric Brixton where he’ll be bringing out some very special guests.

PMR-signed songwriter and producer SG Lewis today shares his new single ‘Aura’. The single is taken from his expansive new project: a three-part album due to roll out over the coming year. ‘Aura’ features rising UK songwriter J Warner and is available to buy and stream now on all partners.

“Everything I do stems from club culture,” says SG Lewis of the idea behind his upcoming three-part project. “Dusk, Dark, Dawn is about taking the intentions of that music – all of those feelings, those experiences I had from the age of 17 to 19 – and placing them outside of the context of a club. Those memories of being a young person and having my mind completely blown.”

Presented over three phases, ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’ maps the trajectory of one night out over the course of an album, matching genres and tempos different stages of that night, beginning at sun-down, both inside and outside the club.
