Lil Baby Performing at Grammy’s

PERFORMING ON THE 63rd ANNUAL GRAMMY’S

AIRING SUNDAY, MARCH 14, 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT ON CBS

NOMINATED FOR TWO GRAMMY AWARDS:

BEST RAP SONG AND BEST RAP PERFORMANCE FOR THE BIGGER

The Recording Academy announced that Lil Baby will perform at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. The Awards will air on Sunday, March 14th, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS Television Network from the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown LA.

Lil Baby has been one of the most dominant and critically acclaimed names in rap since his first release in 2017. In February 2020, he released My Turn, which entered The Billboard 200 at #1, hovered in the Top 5 for 14 weeks, and then returned to the #1 selling album of any genre in 2020.

Lil Baby is as authentic as they come. At just 26 years old, he is unapologetically himself, speaking his truth in his lyrics and that connects him to listeners like no other. Last June as the nation protested, Lil Baby dropped a powerful record “The Bigger Picture”; articulating frustration, confusion, and a call to stand up for something much bigger than himself.

My Turn held 14 records simultaneously on The Billboard Hot 100 and Lil Baby has recently surpassed musical titans Prince and Paul McCartney among others in Billboard Hot 100 hits in his young 3-year career. To date, Baby’s catalog reached 22 billion global streams, scored 8 #1 songs at Urban Radio, won the BET Award for Best New Artist, named Vevo’s Top Performing Hip-Hop Artist of 2020, named MVP on Rap Caviar, and won the top award of Global Artist of the Year at the Apple Music Awards. The Bigger Picture was nominated for two Grammy’s (Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song). He has seen widespread critical acclaim from the likes of GQ and Vanity Fair and has graced the covers of Rolling Stone and NME. With such a rapid rise and a relentless stream of critical and commercial hits, it’s clear that Lil Baby is one of the greatest modern success stories in hip-hop.

Lil Baby – My Turn

Lil Baby declared 2020 as his year, and he continues prove not just that, but that he owns 2020 as he goes from strength-to-strength. This week the Grammy-nominated rapper is the first and only artist of 2020 to go RIAA-certified double-platinum in the U.S. with his release of “My Turn” (Quality Control Music, Wolfpack Global, Motown Records). “My Turn” is both 2020’s highest selling & highest streaming album in the U.S.

Lil Baby also hit #1 at urban radio for the 7th time — with his important and powerful single “The Bigger Picture,” hit 20 Billion streams globally, and was named Vevo’s Top Performing Hip Hop Artist of 2020.

All in a week’s work for Lil Baby who is celebrating his many milestones by giving fans the video release of “Forget That (featuring Rylo Rodriguez).” Rodriguez himself is an artist signed to Lil Baby’s 4PF label, where Baby continues to support artists and share his knowledge of being successful while staying authentic and true to himself.

Earlier this year, Lil Baby graced the cover of Rolling Stone; tied Prince and Paul McCartney for Billboard Hot 100 hits; saw his February #1 release of “My Turn” return to the top of the Billboard 200 three months later; spent 5 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (tying Taylor Swift for most weeks atop the list in 2020). In June, Lil Baby dropped the powerful record, “The Bigger Picture,” articulating frustration, confusion, and a call to stand up for something much bigger than himself.

With such a rapid rise and a relentless stream of critical and commercial hits, it’s clear that Lil Baby is one of the greatest and most important success stories in hip-hop. At 25, has been one of the most dominant and critically acclaimed names in rap since his first release in 2017, and with just 3 years under his belt, it’s clear his run is far from over.

Lil Baby – My Turn

Lil Baby took to twitter today to reveal the cover art for his highly-anticipated upcoming album My Turn. A beautiful pastoral painting shows Lil Baby atop a cliff, with baby goats all around. He also announces he will be performing his hit single “Woah” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this Monday, January 6.

Lil Baby has been a dominant force in hip-hop since his debut and 2019 was his biggest yet. Last month his largest hit to date “Drip Too Hard” with Gunna was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance, marking Baby’s first Grammy nomination. The song also started off the year as the first #1 at urban radio and was also the most played song of 2019 at urban.

He capped off the 2019 with another #1 song at urban with “Baby” by himself and DaBaby. Earlier this year Baby’s solo song “Close Friends” also hit yet another #1, showing his clear dominance throughout year.

Baby’s latest song “Woah” off his upcoming album sparked a viral dance craze on socials and hit #1 on Apple Music within 24 hours, clocking in at over 167 million streams to date and earning over 25 million per week. During its first week it also hit #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Song Consumption chart, and is currently the #1 Greatest Gainer at urban radio and also the #14 most played track.

All of these successes and more owe to Lil Baby’s incredible career and his 10+ billion global career streams, and Lil Baby is firmly established as one of the most dominant forces in rap.
