E·Z Breathe Offers 20% Off

E-Z BREATHE VENTILATION SYSTEM MARKS 20 YEARS OF PROVIDING IMPROVED AIR QUALITY TO CUSTOMERS NATIONWIDE

E·Z Breathe Ventilation System to offer customers 20% off for 20-years in business during National Indoor Air Quality Awareness Month through October.

Investing in indoor air quality has never been more important than it is in 2021. With households around the country and beyond spending more than 90% of their time indoors, the conversation around the health and safety of indoor air quality has become top of mind for many. The rise of time spent indoors since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the nation coupled with colder winter months approach has made E·Z Breathe Ventilation System a necessity to transform the entire home into a healthy living environment and to keep families safe from poor air quality, excess moisture, molds, toxins, allergens, and more. To commemorate 20 years of providing customers with improved indoor air quality, E·Z Breathe Ventilation System will offer 20% off during National Indoor Air Quality Awareness Month, observed annually in October.

“We have been dedicated to building on our commitment to helping people improve their indoor air quality since we installed the first prototype of our ventilation system 20 years ago,” said E·Z Breathe President Erika Lacroix. “Everyone deserves a safe and healthy home, and we are proud to continue not only evolving our product, but expanding and sharing our knowledge around the relationship between our home and our health, the importance of our indoor air quality, and the challenges our modern-day practices pose to the quality of the air we breathe in our homes.”

Having sold approximately 200,000 ventilation systems since its inception, E·Z Breathe Ventilation System continues to be a leader in fresh air systems nationwide. Providing complete home air exchange solutions, the system improves indoor air quality, reduces indoor humidity, and lowers allergen and pollutant levels. Air polluted with mold, allergens, pathogens and other toxins and odor-causing pollutants are vented at the lowest level of the home to the outside in a revolutionary way, introducing and circulating fresher, cleaner air throughout the home.

The E·Z Breathe Ventilation System can improve the indoor air quality with up to an 85% reduction in airborne particulates and common indoor air pollutants. This ventilation system has the ability to help alleviate many common homeowner concerns such as mildew odors, mold growth, pet dander, dust mites, humidity and moisture, pollen, chemical smells, leaving homes feeling fresh and allergen-free.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, reports that the air in the average American home is a minimum of five times and, in some cases, up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air, and building science experts agree that more than 20 gallons of water vapor are absorbed into the average home through basements and/or crawl spaces every single day. Even though it is installed in one room, E·Z Breathe achieves whole-home air exchanges six to ten times daily by gently drawing air throughout the home to replace the stale, polluted air being exhausted.

E·Z Breathe products work for up to 7,000 square feet of living space, and operate efficiently at only $2 to $4 a month; the same as a 40-watt light bulb. Known as a set it, then forget it product, E·Z Breathe systems are low maintenance and do not require extra attention after installation. Now offering self-installation kits for all DIY homeowners, as home improvement has skyrocketed this past year, those who would feel more comfortable setting up the E·Z Breath on their own have the ability to now do so.

WonderWorks Panama City × The Force Of Air

Air is something we all need to survive, but most of us don’t know much about it. WonderWorks Panama City Beach is opening a new exhibit that sheds light on this essential gas to give guests a better understanding of what it is and how it moves. The attraction’s new exhibit will open on August 13, 2021, and it will be included in the regular admission price. This is just one of many exhibits WonderWorks features that helps guests learn about science in a fun and hands-on way.

“Families are going to really find this exhibit fun and interesting at the same time,” said Michael Walsingham, general manager of WonderWorks Panama City Beach. “It’s a great exhibit that will help people see how air moves around, and the kids are going to enjoy the interaction.”

The new exhibit brings to life the concept of how air moves – something many guests have never thought about. It features a maze of tubes hanging from the walls and ceiling that guests can send colorful pieces of material — dubbed “poofs” — through to observe how the force of air moves through the maze.

In addition to giving guests a visual demonstration of how air moves, the exhibit’s room is filled with fun facts about the air so everyone comes away learning something new. Guests will learn about what air is, how it moves, how it holds water, what sort of living organisms it contains,  why there is no air in outer space, what gusts and bioaerosols are, and much more.

This new exhibit is one of the many STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) focused exhibits at WonderWorks Panama City Beach. STEAM-related exhibits are a focus at WonderWorks, as its mascot Professor Wonders hopes to provide guests with a fun and interactive way to learn more about science.

“We invite people to check out this new exhibit and learn something new about the very thing that keeps them alive,” added Walsingham. “We love to help people learn, and we aim to also keep it interesting!”

WonderWorks Panama City Beach offers many STEM-focused exhibits and activities all year long. There are also demonstrations, activities, virtual learning labs, science fair partnerships, homeschool days, and more. To get more information about the WonderWorks STEM programs, visit the website HERE.

The interactive indoor amusement park offers STEM-focused activities for all ages. There are over 100 hands-on activities, including the bubble lab, an interactive sandbox, the illusion art gallery, and Xtreme 360 bikes. For more information on WonderWorks, visit the site HERE.

FinnAir Introduces Business Light Ticket

Finnair brings more choice to customers, introduces Business Light ticket

Finnair will introduce a totally new Business Light ticket and renew its other ticket types on 15 June, addressing the increasing trend for personalization of the travel experience.

Customers can choose a ticket for their needs from three ticket types – Light, Classic and Flex – that are available for both Business and Economy Class for all short-haul and most intercontinental journeys. When booking a ticket, customers select the travel class experience they prefer and the level of flexibility for making reservation changes – along with some additional services included in the ticket. The rest of the experience can be tailored with a wide selection of travel extras.

There is an increasing need to personalize the travel experience, and our new ticket types offer opportunities for choice and tailoring says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer, Finnair. We want to offer our customers journeys that look like them, and we will be adding more choice and personalization opportunities to our offering as we re-introduce services and prepare for ramp-up of our operations.

Business Light is a totally new ticket type designed especially for leisure travelers who want to travel light and affordably while enjoying Business Class comfort. Business Light includes carry-on baggage only. Reservation changes, refunds, airport priority services, lounge access and onboard internet are not included in the ticket price. Customers can always elevate their experience by choosing the travel extras that matter most for them.

The Classic ticket is the most popular option allowing ticket date changes and including one piece of checked baggage. With a Classic ticket bought on 15 June or later, customers can make travel date changes flexibly, paying only the possible fare difference between the original and new tickets. A refund is not possible in the case of a customer cancelling their reservation.

The Flex ticket is a fully flexible and refundable ticket option serving those whose plans can change. When changing travel dates with a Flex ticket, customers only pay the possible fare difference between the original and new tickets. In case a customer wants to cancel their trip, the ticket will be refunded. Flex tickets include checked baggage and advance seat reservation. A Flex ticket bought after 15 June doesn’t include airport priority services.

Customers who purchased their tickets before 15 June will travel with their original tickets and the benefits that were included with them. Due to the coronavirus situation, Finnair offers all customers with bookings made latest on 31 August 2021 extra flexibility for travel date changes.

Musicians x Social Distancing

Engineers and musicians from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and the Houston Symphony determined social distancing will not be enough to keep musicians safe while performing on-stage.

Using a high-speed camera, researchers studied air released by musicians who were singing or playing wind instruments.

Ashok Veeraraghavan, a Rice imaging expert, said social distancing is important, but other factors must be taken into account.

“Our main message is that there is no single silver bullet. Performance venues are going to need a mix of several different risk mitigation strategies. Each of them will help a little, and the sum total of all of them will minimize risk to both the performers and the audience,” Veeraraghavan said.

Robert Yekovich, dean of the Shepherd School of Music and co-principal investigator of the study, said a goal of the study was to help people return to the stage, which is why the findings are being published.

“Peer review may take a year or more, and we believe it is imperative to make others aware of what we found,” Yekovich said.

Schlieren imaging is a method used to study airflow, so Yekovich, Veeraraghavan and John Mangum, the president and CEO of the Houston Symphony, used it to study singers and flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trombone, trumpet and tuba players.

With cameras, a high-resolution background and computational algorithms, they were able to see and track air flow after it leaves mouths and instruments and travels throughout the room.

While the travel of large droplets is well-documented, they wanted to study microdroplets, which can linger in the air for hours.

The group hypothesized that the microdroplets would be the most important droplets to pay attention to. The experiment showed that exhaled air and droplets tended to rise to the top of the room.

“Because exhaled air was warmer than the room air, we found most of it rose rather quickly, carrying the bulk of exhaled microdroplets into air currents that were primarily driven by ventilation,” Veeraraghavan said.

They now recommend music venues meeting or exceeding federal guidelines of six room air exchanges per hour. They also suggest that venues themselves consider air filtration above the stage.

Veeraraghavan still said social distancing is important because of the large droplets, adding that masks should be worn.

Mangum thought that social distancing would be the most important thing when welcoming performers and audiences back to venues, but it’s going to take a bit more than standing six feet apart.

“The Rice experiments showed it’s more complex than that. Now we want all musical organizations and individual musicians to benefit from that understanding,” Mangum said.
