Last night, Grammy® Award-nominated multiplatinum artist JULIA MICHAELS brought out close friend SELENA GOMEZ for a surprise performance of her song “Anxiety,” at The Fonda Theatre in LA during JULIA’S Inner Monologue Tour. Watch the performance HERE.

Whoopi Goldberg made a personal appearance at American Dream yesterday in East Rutherford, New Jersey to open Whoopi = American Dream, American Dream’s inaugural “Dream Drop.” Ready-to-wear pieces from her DUBGEE collection, a mix of new and vintage holiday sweaters and recently launched book, “The Unqualified Hostess” are now available for purchase in the shop, which is open through January 2020. Whoopi = American Dream is Whoopi Goldberg’s first stand-alone retail experience.

To celebrate the opening, Whoopi Goldberg hosted a public appearance inside the shop from 1PM – 3PM, meeting with guests and signing purchased merchandise. Whoopi’s granddaughter, Amarah Skye, was also on-site hand painting purchased DUBGEE fashions. American Dream future tenant, Sephora, hosted three Mini Lip Service stations outside the space to offer guests festive touch ups.

The shop’s interior is inspired by Whoopi’s home, with saturated walls and Art Deco furniture, creating a residential setting – décor pieces were sourced and curated from her personal collection. A DUBGEE fashion salon lives in the center of the space, allowing guests to browse and try on pieces from the collection, as well as a hand selected assortment of her holiday sweaters. A holiday dining table is featured towards the back of the shop, inspired by “The Unqualified Hostess.”

Guests will have the opportunity to experience the Whoopi = American Dream Dream Drop from November 11, 2019 – January 2020.

Hours of operation will be 11AM – 7PM, Monday – Saturday.

And, when they became a couple, I still really didn’t get to spend any quality time with both of them. But, while I will say about Bobby is she told me she loved him. And his behavior and the way I saw him treat her… let’s just say this about Bobby, Bobby’s behaviors played out in the press. And he and I were not squaring off in Everlast shorts and boxing gloves. That never happened. I was still in the same spot that Whitney always wanted me to be. Bobby never approached me personally and said anything to me about the rumors of our relationship. Not once. The soup dumplings once described by the late Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Gold as “small miracles” will find a new home as Din Tai Fung announces its first Las Vegas location, joining the stellar culinary line-up at ARIA Resort & Casino in 2020.

The esteemed Taiwanese dumpling and noodle house, with more than 170 restaurants in 13 countries, will debut in the former ARIA Café space mid-to-late next year.

Ben Zaidi‘s music combines the lyrical sharpness of spoken-word poetry with the soft lushness of electronica. Written and produced by himeslf in his bedroom, his songs bleed with the intimacy of a private journal.

Growing up in Seattle, Zaidi was surrounded by the natural serenity of the Pacific Northwest. While still in high school he began writing songs that caught the attention of local record labels and, ultimately, Harvard University, where he enrolled to study music and poetry. In his dorm room he honed an individual sound that blended the confessional songwriting of Blue-period Joni Mitchell with the sonic minimalism of James Blake.

He developed a following online, relocated to New York City, and within months had sold out back-to-back shows at Rockwood Music Hall. The independently released single ‘Like It Was Nothing’ soon followed and shot to #2 on the iTunes Electronic Charts. Doors began opening, and Zaidi soon found himself in the studio with artists and producers he’d dreamed of working with, and headlining a packed show at Baby’s All Right.

As his music has expanded outward, Zaidi’s pen has turned inward––examining the self and its relationship to the outside world with unflinching honesty. His meditations on love, loss, and solitude in the digital age often point to the paradox that the more connected we have become, the more isolated and lonely we can feel. But, whether listening on headphones or at one of his intimate live shows, it is the familiarity of these feelings that pulls us right into the bedroom alongside him.
