H.K. Keller Auctions Announce Your Chance to Bid on Rare Autograph Collection
With nearly 60 years’ experience and now with their third generation of auctioneers, H.K. Keller have helped hundreds of sellers and thousands of buyers find and bid on their perfect item.
After uncovering Theodore Stillwell’s vintage and unique Rare Autograph Collection, H.K. Keller are now excited to offer this one-of-a-kind sale to the public.
Elderly Sister’s Discovery Uncovers a World of Autograph Treasures
When it was finally time to move out of their life-long family home and into a retirement facility, sisters Gloria and Nancy Stillwell of Ephrata, PA knew they couldn’t take it all with them. With the assistance of a local real estate agent, they contacted an auctioneer to help them with the transition.
While there were some things in the home with little value, a trunk in the attic caught the auctioneer’s eye. The ladies were aware of their father’s hobby, but they weren’t sure people would actually want the autographs that he had collected.
Inside the trunk were hundreds and hundreds of autographs from the 1940s and 1950’s. These autographs included famous athletes, military heroes, cultural icons, celebrities, heads of state, and world leaders.
World-Wide Life
Mr. Theodore Stillwell was born in 1907 and lived his whole life in the Ephrata, PA area. He was a career US postal worker. Although he never travelled, he enjoyed living a “world-wide” life vicariously through writing hundreds of letters throughout the 1940s. His letters afforded him the opportunity to collect an array of autographs, photos, flags, military patches, and correspondence.
Highlights include Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, who became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball. This 1947 letter personalized to Stillwell refers to Robinson being too new to the Brooklyn Dodgers team to request a baseball. There is also a Honus Wagner signed photo and a Mrs. Eleanor Gehrig (Lou Gehrig) letter. This is an autographed football from Amos Alonzo Stagg, an American athlete who played for Yale in 1885-1889, Springfield YMCA and college coach. There are signed items from American manufacturer, Aviator, and movie producer, Howard Hughes, and from Gen. George S. Patton, plus even more.
One of Stillwell’s letters to Patton dated March 20, 1943, is in the Library of Congress and is noted in the dissertation “In need of a hero? The Creation and Use of the Legend of General George S. Patton, Jr” by Nathan C. Jones, curator, historian, author, and museologist at The General George Patton Museum.
One-Of-A-Kind Opportunity
This impressive collection was discovered in December of 2021 in a trunk in the attic of the family home. This collection was reviewed by JSA, James Spence Authentication. Notable autographs received a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) or a Basic Certificate (COA).
This exciting auction is an opportunity for the public to secure many unique and one-of-a-kind autographs.
“We are honored to have discovered this treasure chest,” said Tim Keller, lead auctioneer, “Not only for the sisters, but also for the fact that these autographs, letters, and flags will be treasured by others for years to come. We are happy to bring this collection out of a foot locker to be enjoyed by the world.”
While online bidding is open now, a live auctioneer will be selling the items on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 11:00am Eastern Time through an internet-only simulcast auction.

Thank you to everyone involved”! – Marcus Johnson, Goldenvoice/ AEG.
“TSU has always had talented and hard-working students, and they deserve the same access to opportunities in the music industry as their contemporaries at local PWIs. “Being a part of this program has been an amazing experience and an important first step to bringing more voices to the table. These students are incredibly talented and I believe they are the future of the music industry. We have all learned a lot from the speakers and each other and I look forward to partnering on more intentional efforts to bring opportunities like this to more students.” – Jackie Jones, Artist and Industry Relations, RIAA.
“The magnitude of this program is so important for our TSU students who have been historically shut out of access and opportunities within our music landscape here in Nashville, TN. On behalf of Nashville Music Equality and the Nashville Promise Zone, I couldn’t be more proud and inspired to see the number of Black Music Executives this program will produce. And to have this happen at Tennessee State University is absolutely amazing!” – Brian Sexton, Nashville Music Equality Community Chair/Nashville Promise Zone Manager.

The Artist who Portrayed Dresden and Pirna as they truly were: Historic, Magnificent, Panoramic
Bernardo Bellotto, the nephew of Canaletto, and often referred to as Canaletto the Younger or just Canaletto, turned 300 this year. This anniversary is an enormous cause in the Elbe city of Dresden and the neighboring town of Pirna as Bellotto painted extraordinary landscapes that depicted the baroque cities, as well as Fortress Koenigstein as they really were in the mid1700s.
To celebrate the artist and his impact of having created a lasting memory of the city, the Dresden State Art Collections has mounted the exhibition Enchantingly Real: Bernardo Bellotto at the Court of Saxonyin its Gem&Alte Meister(Old Masters Gallery in the Zwinger Palace). The exhibition runs through August 28.
In Pirna, the exhibit at the StadtMuseum Pirna, visitors can experience Canaletto’s own large-format etchings of his views of Pirna and the camera obscura that he used to help create his paintings. Here too the citizens honor the artist who memorialized their city.
Bellotto became famous as the court painter for the elector of Saxony, Frederick Augustus II. He arrived in Dresden in 1747 and got right to work. Augustus was famous for his lavish spending on arts and culture and court life and he spared no expense. Bellotto’s famous works are breathtaking depictions of the city and its environs. The paintings measure over eight feet in width and are luxurious in their details. They are practically historical monuments as they depict details of the day-to-day life and times, architecture, and landscapes of Dresden and Pirna in the 1700s.
On display in Dresden is the painting you see above: “Dresden from the right bank of the Elbe below the Augustus Bridge,” better known as the famous Canaletto view, which the artist painted in 1748 and which has shaped the world’s view of Dresden to this day. Also, in the exhibit are the so-called Capricci – paintings in which different architectural set pieces are combined to form atmospheric compositions. Bellotto created these imaginative compositions both during his early days in Italy and during his second phase in Dresden, when he taught perspective as an associate member of the Art Academy.
The artist is who, like his uncle and teacher Antonio Canal, also called himself Canaletto ߝ ranks as one of the most important 18th century painters of city views &vedute. The Dresden retrospective is the culmination of a years-long conservation project and results from a cooperation with the Royal Castle in Warsaw. It features the Gem & Ide-galerie is own collection of Bellotto is paintings, which is itself the largest in the world.
The painter also made his mark on the charming town of Pirna, only 20 minutes south of Dresden, on the Elbe. Between 1753 and 1755, the painter captured the tranquil town on the Elbe in eleven views and at least 25 replicas. The most famous painting, the panorama picture “The Market Square in Pirna” (1753), is now with his other paintings and the Pirnauer Verduten (Pirna landscapes) at the Dresden State Art Collections. In the so-called “Canalettohaus” on the market square, they are showcasing enormous replicas of the painter’s Pirna works. Saxony Tourism has also put together a beautiful film on Canaletto’s life in Pirna that will be part of the special Sightgeist video this November – stay tuned!
A special time for Saxons will be this summer in both cities. Dresden and its citizens will celebrate Canaletto especially from August 19 to 21 when the Dresden City Festival takes place and so many festival goers will be lining the banks of the Elbe enjoying Canaletto is views in person. In Pirna, the town is already in full celebration mode with exhibitions, town festivals, tours and music. The city festival from June 17 to June 19 will be a special time as is the ongoing Pirna Sculpture Summer showcasing at least 16 sculptors from Germany. It is said, that the Seven Years’ War ended Canaletto’s creative period in Saxony in 1763.
The CAC’s annual festival connecting kids to architecture and engineering makes successful return to in person with theme ‘Access to Experts’
he Chicago Architecture Center’s annual Engineering Fest is back in person Saturday, May 28 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The award-winning Center in the heart of downtown will host over 600 Chicagoland kids ages 8-14 for a day of discovery, building and learning through unique hands-on activities. This year’s theme is Access to Experts, with a focus on the changing climate and the responsibility of engineers and architects in this conversation in partnership with the CAC’s largest exhibition in its history Energy Revolution. The two floors of the CAC will have exhibits where kids can meet engineers and explore how architecture and engineering partner to create the cities we know and love.
“Engineering Fest is one of the most exciting events of the year at the CAC since we’re able to connect kids in Chicagoland to experts in fields they’re interested in. We hope it inspires them to think big and decide this is something they will go into in the future,” says COO and Interim CEO Juanna Blackwell.
Industry professionals will be on hand to engage with children, answer their questions and inspire kids to think big. The goal is to introduce young attendees to the various facets of engineering, ultimately providing a bridge to the field that outlines career pathways kids might not have otherwise known about. The festival will have no shortage of entertaining and educational opportunities for kids. Continuing the program’s emphasis on creating greener cities, children will be able to build their own wind turbines using household materials while learning about the importance of carbon-neutral energy sources and many other exciting ways to engage.
“When families think of the Chicago Architecture Center, skyscrapers might come to mind before the profession of engineering. However, each year our education team creates a festival centered around innovation and advancements in the field to help illustrate the science behind the walls of our most recognizable structures,” says Angela Esposito, Director of Education and Experience at the CAC.
Find out more about Engineering Fest and register at architecture.org.
The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1966, dedicated to inspiring people to discover why design matters. Let’s face it : Old-fashioned ‘90s are back again — and yes, that involves all of those Y2K fashion trends you’ve probably hidden in the back of your wardrobe. Today, I’ll share all you need to know about Y2K fashion trends, and how Y2K fashion icons can inspire you to dress like a Gen-Z nowadays.
Here are my top tips to what is fashionable at the moment:
Where did the Y2K fashion trend come from?
Y2K fashion boomed across the mid-late 1990s and early 2000s. It doesn’t only refer to fashion, but it also refers to the technology and computer bug that people thought would happen on New Year’s day in 2000.
Y2K culture was marked by luxurious consumerism. Gen-Z were always trying to look for the most expensive monograms and designer brands including on clothing, accessories or perfumes that reflected the idea of ‘being contemporary’. Brands like Channel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Dior were the most coveted.
We can’t forget that Y2K Culture was also shaped by streetwear trends including: designers’ logos, bling, D-rings, exposed zippers, belts, straps in line with the idea of the up to date technology.
What is Y2K Fashion?
Aesthetics and trends typically worn between the late ‘90s and the year 2000. What are the first items that come to your mind when you think about those years? Of course you can’t help remembering the crop tops, the velour tracksuits, the camis, the sparkly shoes or the low-rise jeans, all in the shiny black tone and reflective metallic color palette.
Casual clothing and leisurewear were also big fashion trends of the early 2000s. Denim became a significant staple for Gen-Z, going beyond skirts to jeans, hats and jackets. If you want to design a casual Y2K style , keep in mind that the denim staple is worn with all kinds of clothes including hoodies, crop tops & off the shoulder tops, ribbed sweaters with trainers, platform sandals, sneakers or boots.
How Can you get the Y2K Look nowadays? Get inspired!
Many of Y2K fashion inspiration can be taken from the pop culture icons of our early childhood involving celebrities, films and even video clips. Bratz Dolls, Mean Girls, Uptown Girls and Clueless are great fashion examples of inspiration for the Y2K appearance since these main characters loved over-dressing, with eye-catching colors.
One of the essential features of Y2K fashion were accessories. Think of several of the typical staples from your wardrobe. Pieces like tiny sunglasses, mini-bags, bandanas or scrunchies clips are tendences now. Also, one key feature were rhinestones which are used as decorations for accessories like chokers, belts or hats.
Finally, early ’00s makeup tendencies walked by ‘Euphoria’ smokey eyes, highlighting, colored eyeliner, glittery eyeshadow, false eyelashes, glossy lips, skinny brows and matte foundations. There’s no disagreeing that our current looks have been deeply induced by ’00s beauty icons like Tyra Banks, Paris Hilton, Laura Harrier, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Halle Berry. For you to get some inspiration when doing your make-up, I have gathered together the 5 most powerful and influential makeup trends worn by celebrities of the early 2000s in events like MTV Awards, Grammys, Brit Awards or even at the Oscars.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are around 2 million single father’s in the country. Due to the way that the family court, county and social service systems operate fathers are often not allowed to spend as much time with their children as they would like following a separation or divorce. This includes Father’s Day.
“Father’s Day can be brutally painful for noncustodial fathers”, said Dads’ Resource Center Executive Director Jeffrey Steiner. “Many do not even get the opportunity to be with their children for Father’s Day. For those that do, it can be bittersweet as they are able to cherish some time with their sons and daughters, while also being reminded of all that they are missing out on and how unnecessary and hurtful the custody battle is to them and their children.”
It is not unusual for a noncustodial father to be unable to spend time with his children on Father’s Day. It can take a very long time to even have the opportunity to revise a standing custody order, and there can be provisions that counter act one another. An order that sets aside Father’s Day for the dad can be over ridden by a provision giving each parent a week of summer vacation if the mother schedules her vacation the week of Father’s Day. Courts are also reluctant to enforce violations of custody orders by mothers.
Some of the fathers who are involved with the Dads’ Resource Center were asked to provide tips for dealing with Father’s Day as noncustodial fathers struggling to be in the lives of their children. Here were some of their responses:
Make the most of the time you get. “Treat every day you are with your kids like it’s Father’s Day for you. For the kids make Father’s Day fun for them and it will be fun for you.
Be empathetic for your children. “Put yourself in your children’s position and try to be as understanding as possible. They are stuck in the middle and can’t show a lot of emotion. Don’t take offense if they don’t act happy because they are in survival mode.”
Make it about them. “I am happy in my house when they are happy. I just want to give them refuge from this storm. So, if they want to be on their phone talking with their friends, if they want to zone out and watch TV and that makes them happy, I am happy.”
For those fathers who are unable to spend Father’s Day with their children:
Don’t get stuck on what day it is. “You have to treat Father’s Day like any other day. Then create your own Father’s Day an evening during the week before or the weekend before or after.”
Be flexible and creative. “Stay connected in any way possible, even if it isn’t reciprocated.”
Open your heart to other children. “I try to find ways to hang out with other kids, like my nieces or nephews. Enjoying time with them makes me feel like a dad again.”
“Nothing is more devastating to a man than being denied access to his children and being completely powerless to do anything about it, “said Steiner. “But the children are the ones who suffer the most in these situations. They are unnecessarily denied the presence of their fathers and subjected to persistent tensions and uncertainty.”
Dads’ Resource Center was established by Dr. Joel N. Myers, a father of eight and the founder and CEO of AccuWeather. The mission is to help combat the issues associated with children growing up without their fathers in the home. At its heart, the center is a child advocacy organization that aims to ensure that each child has the appropriate involvement and contributions from both parents.
About Dads’ Resource Center
The Dads’ Resource Center is committed to providing education, resources, and advocacy for dads who are separated or divorced and are determined to uphold their sacred responsibility as fathers. The Dads’ Resource Center was founded by Dr. Joel N. Myers, the founder and CEO of AccuWeather. His own experience as a single father led him to start the group. To get more information, visit HERE.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker say “I do” for the third time in an idyllic Italian wedding. The couple has walked down the aisle (once again) in front of family and friends, who had traveled from the United States to Europe.
Just days after marrying Barker in a Santa Barbara courthouse, Kourtney said “I do” to the drummer one more time at a lavish ceremony in Italy over the weekend, this time in more traditional bridal attire. After two consecutive days of celebrations since the mediatic family took over the coastal town of Portofino (Italy), an idyllic and dreamlike link has been experienced between the two protagonists.
True to her groundbreaking style, Kourtney wore a tight, strappy short dress from Dolce & Gabbana that she accompanied with an enormous veil, which was embroidered with a huge representation of the Virgin Mary and the words “respect family loyalty” inspired by the tattoo of Travis’s head. The Italian luxury brand shared on Instagram that Kourtney was inspired “by archival Italian lingerie.” She has maintained the tradition of the white color in her bridal look after the doubts that arose this past weekend when seeing her bet on black in her outfits. On the other hand, the musician has not left the classic script and fixed for this type of occasion by wearing a dark tuxedo with a bow tie and a flower on the lapel.
The most emotional moment came when both knelt on sumptuous stools in front of the altar adorned with red roses and the religious figure of a virgin in the background. Scene that was shared by Alabama Luella Barker, one of Barker’s daughters. After the ceremony, the couple and all the guests went to the imposing Castello Brown, the 16th century fortress and house-museum that is located high above the seaport and where the impressive wedding reception took place.
Likewise, the children of the marriage were not lacking, each of their previous relationships. They are 9-year-old Penelope, 7-year-old Reign, and 12-year-old Mason on the bride’s side, as well as 16-year-old Alabama, and 18-year-old Landon on the groom’s side.
It all started last Friday night with a pre-wedding dinner at Ristorante Puny in Portofino and continued on Saturday with lunch, where the bride and groom and their guests arrived on board a boat. Sisters Kim, Kloé, Kendall and Kylie dazzled the Italian city of Portofino with their outfits. It was there that we could see the famous sisters with their most gothic and transparent looks throughout the weekend.
How could it be otherwise considering the place where they were, Dolce & Gabbana was behind all the outfits.
