Next month, Marvel Comics celebrates Black History Month! In addition to STORM: LIFEDREAM, a special one-shot honoring the legacy of Earth’s Mightiest Mutant, Marvel proudly presents two collections of variant covers: STAR WARS BLACK HISTORY MONTH VARIANT COVERS featuring Black Heroes of the galaxy far, far away and BLACK HISTORY MONTH VARIANT COVERS spotlighting Marvel super heroes! Today, fans can get their first look at the latter program which sees acclaimed artists Chris Allen, Taurin Clarke, Ken Lashley, and Alitha Martinez stunningly depict some of today’s leading Black heroes including popular icons like Black Panther and Captain America along with fan-favorite and all-new characters! 

 

Here are the 8 heroes spotlighted this year and where to find them!

 

·       Black Panther, legendary super hero and King of Wakanda. T’Challa can currently be seen taking charge in Jed MacKay and Farid Karami’s hit run of Avengers.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Announces Major Investment

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars confirmed its investment of more than $370 million (£300 million) to expand its sole manufacturing facility at Goodwood in England. This move is the next step in the company’s strategic focus on creating value for clients through the most complex, personal, and valuable handcrafted luxury products and delivering an unparalleled client experience. The company’s global performance in 2024, a landmark year for Bespoke and the third-best sales record in its history, confirms the success of this strategy.

This expansion will allow Rolls-Royce to enhance the value of commissions for clients by creating additional space for the increasingly complex and high-value Bespoke and Coachbuild projects. It will also prepare the manufacturing facility for the brand’s transition to an all-battery electric vehicle (BEV) future.

This investment represents the largest capital injection ($100 million) since the plant opened on January 1, 2003. At that time, it employed about 300 people and produced just one motor car per day. While the plant has undergone significant internal upgrades over the past 20 years, the building and footprint remain largely unchanged. The staff numbers have grown more to more than 2,500 people, and Goodwood now produces about 25 motor cars per day.

A Record Year for Bespoke

In 2024, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective of specialist designers, engineers, and craftspeople undertook some of their most creatively daring and technically challenging commissions. These projects featured innovative materials, craft techniques, and features never seen before on a Rolls-Royce motor car, resulting in unique, emotionally resonant masterpieces that reflect the commissioning clients’ interests and personalities.

Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke offering reached record levels in 2024, with Bespoke content increasing by 10% per commission year-over-year, the highest in the company’s history. 

An Unmatched Client Experience

Rolls-Royce’s commitment to Bespoke is reflected in its Private Offices. In 2024, the of VIP spaces expanded to New York and Seoul, joining locations in Dubai and Shanghai. Inspired by the original Private Office in Goodwood, these creative hubs are available by invitation and designed to inspire creativity and close collaboration between clients, their dealer advisor, and a dedicated local designer. Clients highly value this unique experience, with Private Office commissions typically 25% higher in value than the starting suggested retail price.

Rolls-Royce’s dealer partners worldwide continued investing in the brand’s updated visual identity and showroom concept, offering a social, creatively engaging environment where clients can relax and find inspiration for their bespoke commissions.

The Rolls-Royce invitation-only members’ app, Whispers, grew by 55% in 2024. This exclusive digital club allows clients to access and manage their Rolls-Royce motor cars, network with other clients, and gain exclusive insights about the marque and the luxury world. Whispers also facilitate direct contact among Rolls-Royce owners and their contacts at their dealers and inside Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Globally Balanced Sales Picture

In 2024, Rolls-Royce introduced a record four models: Cullinan Series II and Ghost Series II, along with their Black Badge variants. These launches, coupled with sustained demand for all Rolls-Royce products, resulted in global sales of 5,712 in 2024—the third best year ever and in line with the brand’s expectations.

2024 also marked the first full year of sales for Rolls-Royce Spectre. Clients have confirmed that Spectre’s electric drivetrain is perfectly suited to Rolls-Royce, enhancing the brand’s renowned attributes: silence, ‘waftability,’ and the unique ‘magic-carpet ride’ experience. Spectre’s market arrival worldwide confirmed the successful launch of this innovative motor car.

The most requested models in 2024 were Cullinan, Spectre, and Ghost, with Phantom, the flagship model, retaining its status as the ultimate and rarest Rolls-Royce. Phantom will celebrate its centenary in 2025.

In 2024, North America was once again Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ largest sales region, representing around one-third of commissions delivered. North America performance was driven by demand in southern markets, especially Florida. North America saw a significant increase in the average Bespoke value of each commission with several of the most complex commissions ever being delivered in the past year.

Vybz Kartel – STR8 VYBZ

Vybz Kartel celebrates life outside on his birthday today with a new song and video STR8 VYBZ. “Make it rum” the Worl’ Boss declares in the intro of this TJ Records, Adidjahiem Records & Angustura produced single, carrying the same name as the dancehall star’s new rum line.

Kartel also lands the cover of Billboard, the publication’s first exclusive digital cover for 2025 ( READ | WATCH ) shortly after his historic homecoming Freedom Street Concert (produced by Downsound Entertainment) after serving over 13 years in prison.

Atlantis Paradise Island, the entertainment capital of the Caribbean, kicked off 2025 with its fourth- annual Party Like a Royal New Year’s Eve celebrations. The talented comedian, actor and producer Adam Devine, most known for his roles in Pitch Perfect and Workaholics, hosted the sold-out event at Atlantis’ Royal Deck under the resort’s famed Royal Towers, entertaining resort guests, visitors, and locals alike.

The star-studded night began with a DJ set from the GRAMMY® award-winning, multi-platinum artist Lil Jon who hyped the crowd as he stood on top of his DJ booth and delivered some of his top hits including “Get Low,” “Shots,” “Turn Down for What,” and “Yeah”. In addition to this, Lil Jon spun a set compilation of other tracks such as DMX’s “Party Up,” Flo Rida’s “Low,” Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” and Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” The superstar unexpectedly guided a roaring crowd in a positivity mantra to help kick off 2025 on a high note. 

Just before midnight, GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding took the stage for a surprise performance, delighting concertgoers with a lineup of her most recognizable songs including “Lights,” “Still Falling For You,” “Love Me Like You Do,” “Miracle” and more. She ended her 11-song set with one of her most famous tracks, “Burn.” Earlier in the day, Ellie was spotted relaxing poolside at The Cove at Atlantis. 

As the clock was about to strike 12:00, Lil Jon, Ellie Goulding, and Adam Devine all took to the stage leading guests in the countdown to 2025. The evening culminated with a dazzling firework display and a set by award-winning DJ Webstar, who kept the celebration going until 1:30 a.m. 

Other highlights from the evening’s festivities included Adam Devine and his wife, actress Chloe Bridges, sharing a New Year’s kiss at the stroke of midnight on stage in front of the crowd, who were also spotted earlier in the day at the Cove Beach. Guests were also entertained throughout the night by stilt walkers and synchronized swimmers in the Royal Pool, who put on a stunning performance throughout the venue. 

The New Year’s Eve celebrations followed Steve Aoki’s performance at Atlantis’ Aura Nightclub earlier in the week, which kicked off the Party Like a Royal New Year’s Eve celebration. The GRAMMY®-nominated EDM superstar took the stage shortly after midnight and thrilled a sold-out crowd with an unforgettable set featuring tracks such as “Pursuit of Happiness,” “Nataaoki,” “MIC Drop” and more.

The week’s festivities also included a powerhouse performance by GRAMMY®-winning R&B group 112. Taking the stage at Bar Sol, located within the newly reimagined Atlantis Casino, the legendary group that rose to fame in the 1990s delivered an unforgettable set featuring hits like “Peaches and Cream,” “Cupid,” and a heartfelt tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. with “I’ll Be Missing You.”

Ice Spice – Y2K!

4x GRAMMY-nominated and Bronx phenom Ice Spice dropped her explosive Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) album, out now via 10K Projects/Capitol Records. The Deluxe features 5 brand new tracks, including “Hannah Montana” featuring NLE Choppa and DaBaby, with additional features from BB Trickz and Anuel AA. Listen HERE.

Ice’s wildly anticipated official debut album Y2K!, was originally released in July and came stacked with hits including the Sean Paul-sampling “Gimmie A Light” and hater-dismissing “Think U The Shit (Fart),” which notably became her highest solo charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 (#37). The album also included hits like “Phatt Butt,” “Oh Shhh…” featuring Travis Scott, and the smash summer anthem “Did It First” featuring Central Cee. The video for the infidelity anthem (watch HERE) has since racked up over 42M views, while the song went on to peak on Spotify’s US (#34) and Global (#41) charts.

Pitchfork hailed Y2K! for featuring “some of her most dynamic and abrasive bars to date,” while also praising the album for sounding “like nothing her peers could make, swerving from one sonic inspiration to the next.”

Ice spent the summer dominating the world with her Y2K! WORLD TOUR. Produced by Live Nation, the tour began with a series of festival performances across Europe, and included her first ever headlining North American run with sold out shows at Terminal 5 in New York City, the iconic Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and more. The Y2K! WORLD TOUR also saw Ice take Europe and the UK by storm with a fall headline run that included shows across Dublin, Manchester, London, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, and more.

Y2K! confirms what’s been in the air since Ice’s 2023 debut EP, Like..?, landed her on year-end lists from the likes of Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and numerous others. Hits like “Munch (Feelin U)” and the Platinum-selling “In Ha Mood” and “Princess Diana” have taken Ice straight to the top of the rap game and brought her a slew of honors, including two People’s Choice Awards, an MTV VMA, a BET Hip-Hop Award, and the Hitmaker Award at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music event. All signs point toward Ice extending her dominance.
