Disney Parks Reopening × Travel Trends

By: Tim Hentschel, Co-Founder and CEO of HotelPlanner

Headline:  Mickey Mouse Comes Out of His House…Kind of

Since 1955, families from around the world have made a special pilgrimage to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, CA. What began on 160 acres of orange groves is now one of the most famous and beloved destinations in the world. Prior to the pandemic, Disneyland hosted more than 18 million visitors a year who spent nearly $3 billion in the process, not including the revenue generated by restaurants, hotels and other local venues. However, for the past year and a half, Mickey’s doors in Anaheim have been shut.

It’s a very welcoming sign from California that Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park partially reopened with limited capacity on April 30. Disney theme park re-openings have become a barometer of sorts for other venues to gauge whether it’s time for them to reopen. This is a positive step in the right direction to bring California’s tourism vitality back to full strength.

Disney’s venture into post-pandemic life is taking a tiered approach. According to Disneyland, “as required by California directive, the Disneyland Resort is only welcoming in-state visitors in parties no larger than 3 households at this time.” There are no date targets set for inclusion of out-of-state visitors, meaning non-Californians won’t really be able to plan a Disneyland pilgrimage for some time. The Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has begun its phased reopening. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel plans to reopen on June 15 with reduced capacity, while the Disneyland Hotel has not yet announced reopening plans. The Downtown Disney District is partially open with select shopping and restaurants.

Like so many places devasted by this pandemic, this “reopening” leaves many questioning whether it signifies a lasting bureaucratic micromanagement of consumer affairs, or a glimmer of hope that a return to normalcy may one day be attained. Under current conditions, local resident guests will be greeted with a two ID requirement for entry, one of which will include personal medical data on vaccine status. This “welcome” is yet another example of California’s top-down, one-size-fits-all approach to pandemic life, something which has alienated many residents from their beloved state. The Golden State recently lost Congressional House seats for the first time in modern history due to the last decade’s mass exodus of residents fleeing to other states that have fared better economically or handled the Covid crisis better.

If your summer vacation plans included a visit to see Mickey in Disneyland, but you live outside California, then consider visiting Orlando’s Disneyworld which re-opened last July. It may be cheaper for you as well. On average, rooms in Anaheim will cost the average traveler approximately $23.00 more per night compared to Orlando, or $135 vs $112 a night. That said, both Anaheim and Orlando’s average nightly hotel room rate are both down about 20% compared to the same time last year.

For the more adventurous traveler, Disneyland Shanghai, which attracts about 12 million guests per year, has been open for normal operations since May 2020 (reservations are required). Disneyland Paris partially reopened in May 2021 with full reopening scheduled for June 17, 2021. These overseas parks serve as a stark contrast to Disney’s more cautious approach to reopening in the U.S. Even under one corporate governance, a company’s local response to a global pandemic can look very different.

Family-Friendly Summer Vacation Ideas with a Warm Welcome

Fortunately, there are plenty of other equally fun options for your family this summer. If your children are begging to go on an adventure, and you don’t live in California, here is a sample of alternatives that are fully open:

  • Disney World:  In Orlando, Magic Kingdom Park was the most visited theme park in the world in 2019, with almost 21 million guests. The new VelociCoaster is scheduled to open this summer at nearby Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Avator Flight of Passage is an immersive, animal-focused experience. At Universal Studios, you can immerse yourself in some of the top films and television shows like Harry Potter and The Simpsons. At Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are very popular with children.
  • Dollywood: In the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, you can visit Dolly Parton’s theme park which has rides, music, and other family-friendly attractions. While you’re in the area, there is beautiful hiking and camping options, just watch out for bears.
  • Busch Gardens:  With amusement parks in Tampa, FL and Williamsburg, VA, Busch Gardens has thrilling rides, animals, and a host of family-friendly activities. Visit the Tampa beaches, go fishing in the gulf, or visit Colonial Williamsburg too for a taste of history.
  • Six Flags: There are 13 Six Flags theme parks across America with a universal season pass. If your family likes rollercoasters and thrill rides, visiting all 13 locations would be quite the bucket list adventure. Road trip anyone?
  • Silver Dollar City: This 1880s nostalgic theme park in Missouri’s Ozark mountains has more than 40 rides and attractions, as well as live entertainment.

There are dozens of other theme parks across the country. These are just a few ideas.

Plan Early, Book Early

Regardless of where you go this summer, we’re seeing a significant surge in hotel bookings right now across the board, from limited service to luxury accommodations. As we approach summer, we recommend booking accommodations as early as possible to ensure a lower rate, but the law of supply and demand is still in effect.

Popular beach, lake and mountain towns and cities across the U.S. are charging higher rates. If beach front hotels are too expensive, stay in a nearby suburb within driving distance to the beach or hotels near the airport. Alternatively, big cities like Las Vegas or New York City may be cheaper as those cities are eager for tourist dollars. New York fully reopens for business on July 1 and full-capacity Broadway shows return on September 14.

If you’re itching to jet set overseas, more than 75 countries are accepting vaccinated American tourists. Now may be the perfect time to take that bucket list trip overseas while prices remain low and availability high.

Health & Safety While Traveling

You and your families’ personal safety, health and wellness should always be top of mind when planning any form of travel, along with enhanced personal hygiene, avoiding large crowds and pandemic hot spots, and reviewing local health advisories and restrictions. Most airlines have invested heavily in the latest cabin air filtration systems and enhanced cleaning effort, so much so that air travel is an even safer form of public transformation. Plus, hotels, restaurants, and other venues are now cleaner than ever before to keep patrons safe.

As vaccination rates increase, and states allow large venues to fully reopen, travel and tourism will take off like a rocket ship. And as public confidence in travel increases, the entire hospitality, travel and tourism industries stand to greatly benefit. Don’t wait to take your family on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. There is no time like the present.

Tasmania’s Great Eastern Drive: An Epic Australian Road Trip

Tasmania’s east coast boasts abundant natural beauty, stunning landscapes, and gorgeous sandy beaches. Taking a road trip along the Great Eastern Drive is one of the best ways to explore the coast, which spans an impressive 176 kilometers. While you can take all the time you want to explore this route, it can also be completed in as little as one weekend.

Drive in comfort

Living up to its name, the Great Eastern Drive involves plenty of driving. A reliable and spacious car is therefore a must to keep you comfortable on your trip. In particular, drivers commonly rate SUVs as practical vehicles with expansive interiors and roomy trunks. You’ll have plenty of legroom to stretch out your legs, as well as space to keep your belongings and luggage. You’ll also need to pack enough water and snacks to keep you hydrated and well-fueled on the road. Bananas and nuts can provide great energy boosts when your energy levels start to dip. Also be sure to bring sunglasses: having the sun in your eyes while driving can cause headaches. Tinted sunglasses will protect your eyes from the sun’s harsh glare.

Begin in Hobart

Your road trip kicks off in Hobart: Tasmania’s capital city. From here, you’ll drive north on the Tasman Highway while enjoying the expansive scenic views. It’ll take you about an hour to arrive in Triabunna, a charming small coastal town surrounded by beaches, hills and forests. Make time to sample the locally-caught fish and chips before taking the ferry to Maria Island (only half an hour away). You can explore the beautiful and peaceful island’s hiking trails, as well as go swimming, scuba diving or snorkeling. When you’re ready, catch the ferry back to mainland Orford, another nearby small village. Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants before unwinding for the night in your hotel room.

Exploring Orford and Swansea

Start the next day with a hike in Wielangta Forest — the Three Thumbs track is a 2-hour, 4-kilometre loop that passes through dry eucalyptus forest and temperate rainforest. Exploring Three Thumbs is well worth the effort: you’ll be rewarded with gorgeous views over Maria Island, Orford, and Spring Bay. Next up on your road trip, you’ll drive to Freycinet Peninsula, a large peninsula overflowing with natural beauty, including pink granite mountain ranges. Here you can enjoy a number of water sports in Wineglass Bay (think swimming, diving and surfing). If bird-watching is more your thing, head to the Moulting Lagoon wetlands and keep an eye out for the beautiful native pelicans and black swans.

If you have the time, don’t end your road trip before exploring Freycinet National Park — Tasmania’s oldest national park. It has a number of hiking trails of varying lengths, which will give you sweeping views over Wineglass Bay. If you’re lucky, you’ll also spot some of the local wildlife like honeyeaters, black cockatoos, yellow wattlebirds, white-bellied sea eagles, and dolphins.

5 things you need to know about NFTs

5 things you need to know about NFTs

Non fungible tokens. You’ve probably heard about the latest internet phenomenon that is dominating headlines in the art world and beyond.

Little wonder. Digital artist Beeple sold his artwork for an incredible £69 million ($96 million) earlier this year, while even Twitter founder Jack Dorsey got in on the act by attracting $2.5 million for his first-ever tweet.

If you’re wondering how you can get in on the action on the technology that promises to revolutionise the way we trade, here are five things you should know first.

They’re unique digital certificates of ownership…

A non-fungible token, or NFT, derives its name from the idea of fungibility. Put simply, this is the idea that something can be replicated, or traded for something else of a like kind. A 10-dollar bill is a prime example of a fungible item: there are billions of them in existence thanks to the US Federal Reserve printing them out regularly, which means their value will always be kept to whatever 10 dollars is worth. It can also easily be traded to buy 10 dollars’ worth of goods or service.

A non-fungible item, on the other hand, is completely unique. Take a winning lottery ticket: yes, someone else might have the same numbers as you, but it’s impossible to replicate that ticket at will.

The Mona Lisa is another example. People can copy it, but they’ll never produce the original. This is why Da Vinci’s masterpiece is priceless – and non-fungible.

When somebody has something non-fungible, then it’s natural that they want to certify its validity. This is where an NFT comes in: it’s a unique virtual certificate that is verified by Blockchain. A Blockchain acts as a kind of independent secure public ledger, so that people can see the details of the transaction and who owns the item.

In short, it’s an assurance of authenticity – and people are prepared to pay big money for the NFTs of certain things.

… but people can still download digital copies of an item

It’s important to note that an NFT doesn’t prevent people from digitally copying the item in question. With a physical piece of art, you control where you keep it and who sees it, but people can still download an NFT artwork to their own collection if they want.

The value in an NFT, therefore, is proving that you own the original version of that work, rather than a copy.

So, while a digital copy might be a cool thing to have, its value will never actually increase. An NFT, on the other hand, ensures that a coveted work achieves its true value for being the original.

A good example is an NFT for an album. Fans can download digital copies, but the musician with its NFT is the only one who can claim to be the owner — and earn a percentage of the resales and royalties.

They’re collectibles

Anyone who likes to collect things knows that most of the fun comes from having something that other people don’t have. Whether it’s a rare type of stamp or football sticker, there’s a certain thrill in possessing something special.

NFTs are the ultimate collectible. In the NBA, some of the most memorable clips in the organisation’s history have been converted into the tokens so that fans can buy and trade them. While fans can still view any clip they want, some of the most wanted sell for thousands of dollars, simply so the owner can say they possess it — and potentially sell it later, of course.

The human need to collect things is something that runs deep, something that some theorists say harks back to our hunter-gatherer days when survival meant accumulating as many things as possible. It might explain why the NFT craze has taken off so rapidly and ensure that it continues to dominate the headlines for some time yet.

They could eliminate ticket fraud

Ever paid over the odds for concert passes or, even worse, unwittingly bought a forged ticket? NFTs may make this a thing of the past.

If an event organiser uses the token to sell tickets, they would have a cast-iron seal of authenticity and fraudulent sellers would be unable to replicate them. What’s more, because blockchain allows the NFT owner to verify which tickets are acceptable, they will have the control to reject those that are sold above their face value and prevent the transaction.

This promises to be a huge business with so many major artists expressing their dislike of ticket fraud in the past. Platforms such as Mintbase already allow organisers to easily produce tickets as NFTs and the process is likely to get even simpler over the next few years.

It has led to some bizarre ideas…and will continue to do so

Monochrome Bleu Numérique. It might sound like a French arthouse movie, but it’s just a blue rectangle. Or, to be more precise, a digital artwork of a blue rectangle.

It’s one of many unusual ideas that are being sold as a non-fungible token on Rarible, the website where people can trade NFTs. The artist behind it, Damien Thirst, admitted that it was ‘a bit of a joke’, but wanted it to challenge the concept of ownership in the digital world. It certainly has people talking, and its price was set a 0.3 Ether (the cryptocurrency for Blockchain platform Ethereum), or $1,173 at the time of writing.

Other bizarre NFTs include buyers paying over half a million dollars for a picture of a New York Times column and a similar amount for a ‘digital house’ that is, naturally, impossible to live in.

It’s fitting for a concept that seeks to challenge the way we view ownership. While we can use NFTs to improve our lives, maybe we should accept that there are certain aspects of this technology that we’ll never fully understand.

The Benefits of Using Online Casinos

Are you new to online casinos and have no idea if they are actually worth playing at? Have you ever wondered why online casinos have become so incredibly popular when people still have access to good, old traditional casinos?

The benefits of using online casinos have been discussed at length by many people over the years. With hundreds of options to choose form, its easy to get lost in all the choices and feel quite over whelmed. It’s important to know why you should use an online casino, and what are the biggest benefits associated with them.

In recent years, the online casino industry has grown massively and it is all down to the fact that we are now living in a digital age where people are constantly online on their phones or laptops. People are not going to physical casinos as often as they used to anymore. If you want to start playing at an online casino but are not sure what the benefits might be, here are a few reasons.

A Lot of Games

One of the biggest perks of playing at an online casino is that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of games available for you to play. When it comes to traditional, physical casinos, there are a limited to the number of games available due to limited space. This is not the case when it comes to online casinos. There is no constraint when it comes to space, meaning that online casinos can have many more games available to players.

Online casinos offer all the regular games that traditional casinos have, and more. An average online casino has around 400-600 games, but most of the casinos that Japan-101 recommends here have much more than that. Not only do they have many games, but also have a bunch of different themes to suite anyone. There are even casino games, similar to video games, in which you have to go on missions and complete levels. There is no chance that players will get bored with this variety.

Many Bonuses to Choose From

One of the most innovative marketing techniques to come from online casinos is the bonuses. Bonuses are essentially free gameplay that encourages players to start or continue playing at a casino. The most popular bonus at the various different casinos is the welcome bonus. This is how casinos attract masses of new players–by offering them free gameplay. Everyone loves getting things for free.

Welcome bonuses can come in the form of free spins on the slots, free rounds at tables games, free money to bet on a game of your choice, or even a combination of these. Other bonuses are available for people who are part of a more exclusive of VIP package as a way to encourage them to keep playing; or as incentive for those who are considering upgrading their casino account. These bonuses are a great way for players to play for free and discover the games they like, without having to waste their own money.

Convenience

One of the best parts about playing at an online casino is how convenient it is. Going to a regular physical casino can take a lot out of your day. You have to dress up fancy, travel to the destination, wait in lines to play, and end up spending a lot of time waiting around for a few minutes of fun.

Online casinos make it so much more convenient to play all the casino games you love with just the click of a button. You can play anywhere, anytime you want because these casinos are available 24/7. All you need is to have a decent internet connection. You can play on your commute to work or even while in bed, if you are trying to pass the time.

Easy to Get Started

For those new to gambling or casino games, it can be a bit daunting trying to figure out how all of the different games work. At online casinos, all of this worry disappears as there are tutorials on how to play the different games. Online casinos sometimes even offer different tips and tricks to help you win.

If you need more help, you can easily search for solutions to any problems you may have or look up tutorials for further clarity.

Three Ways To Amp up Your Home Entertainment

Your home should be the place you are most comfortable. On top of that, if you’re the kind of person who loves to entertain guests, you want your home to be a place where others can not only be comfortable but have a memorable experience. Here are three things you can do to create a home where you can maximize entertaining others or simply allow yourself to really unwind.

1. Audio Is Everything

When you think of an entertaining event, is it possible to think of one that’s totally silent? One reason people love seeing movies in theaters is because the surround-sound audio seems larger than life. When you attend concerts, nothing gets your blood pumping quite like feel the bass resonating in your chest cavity. Whether you aim to entertain with a great home theater or with quality parties, your home audio Nashville must be top-notch. Watching movies is one thing; experiencing them is another.

2. Drinks Must Be on-Hand

Any good event has interesting drinks available. That doesn’t even mean they have to be alcoholic — having a unique craft soda available can add a unique element to a get-together. Make sure the space you’re hosting parties in has drinks nearby. You might want to have a mini-fridge stocked in the basement, or you could even use an everyday cooler. However it’s done, the point is to make sure nobody has to ask for a drink or question where they might be.

3. Lighting Is the Cherry on Top

Going to a friend’s house for some drinks is a party, and parties are great. However, the difference between a party and an event is the ambiance. Imagine going to the exact same event, but their living room has been rearranged and they’ve hung up some interesting lights to create a completely different atmosphere. You are bound to remember that event more than the other everyday parties you’ve attended recently.

You can accomplish unique lighting in many different ways, and most of them are very simple. The easiest is to buy some string lights that simply plug into your outlets. They can easily be hung temporarily and stored for later use — it shouldn’t take any longer than 10 minutes to set them up every time. You can even experiment with using various colored bulbs in your existing fixtures. You don’t have to go crazy, but just doing something a little different will make a big difference.

It doesn’t take much to make a party stand out. If you have a quality sound system, you’ll already be leaps and bounds above the average event that has TV speakers or a run-of-the-mill stereo. Just like going out to eat, your friends will be happy if they never have to ask for a refill on their beverage, and you can really make the event memorable by changing the atmosphere. Don’t think you have to do all of this for other people, though — doing all of these same things for yourself will make for an incredibly relaxing night in.

Why More Young People Are Turning to Online Therapy

Therapy can help with a huge range of mental health complaints from stress and anxiety to post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and more. There are many reasons to consider therapy, and with the internet now creating new avenues for accessing mental health treatment, it’s no surprise that online therapy has become a popular choice for young people who are seeking mental health support. Due to the COVID19 crisis, online therapy has become an even more popular option over the past year in order to help ensure that people who need additional support for their mental health and wellbeing are able to access it safely when needed. So, why is online therapy becoming a more popular option?

Added Convenience:

Online therapy is usually done from home, meaning that the client has the additional convenience of getting therapy from the comfort of their own place without having to go and visit the therapist at their office. This can be a better option for people who have busy lives or commitments like kids that might be difficult for them to work around when they get professional help. Online therapy can be done from your kitchen or living room, meaning that there’s no need to rush after finishing work for the day or find a sitter for your kids while you go for your appointment.

Find a Suitable Therapist:

For people who live in remote areas where the choice of therapists available is not always the best, online therapy can be an ideal alternative. Online therapy offers more choice to people who live in remote or rural areas where there are limited mental health resources available to them in the local area. It provides clients with the option of finding a therapist that might be a better fit for them without being confined to the local area only or faced with the need to travel long distances to visit a therapist on a regular basis.

More Accessible:

Another reason why online therapy is becoming more popular among young people is that it provides more access to these services for people who have physical limitations. People who are housebound or disabled might find it difficult or even impossible to go out and visit a therapist in person, while online therapy can be done from wherever is most comfortable for them.

Less Overwhelming:

Going to therapy can be a huge step to take for somebody who has been struggling with mental health issues that they struggle to talk about. Often, the internet makes getting therapy easier and more accessible for people in this situation who might feel comfortable talking about physical health issues with family and friends but will struggle to open up about their mental health. Since online therapy can be done from home, or another environment that the client is comfortable and familiar with, it can be easier for clients to overcome the stigma that has long been attached to mental health issues and feel more comfortable asking for help.

Familiarity:

Today, young people have been born into a world where the internet is used for pretty much anything. From applying for jobs to online grocery shopping, many young people are used to tapping into their phones or laptops when they want to get something done, so it’s no surprise that getting online therapy tends to come naturally to them. In a world where a lot of communication with friends and family is done online and there are more online services than ever before available, it makes sense that young people who are used to this way of doing things would prefer to get mental health support online too.

What to Consider When Choosing an Online Therapist:

There are several apps that have made finding an online therapist easier, and many therapists that will typically practice from an office or their own home have also started offering online services, many as a result of the COVID19 pandemic. If you are considering online therapy as an option for yourself, there are several things to consider before you start including:

  • The type of therapy that you want – do some research into different types of therapy such as CBT, DBT, and holistic therapy to find one that seems suitable for you. If you are not sure, a good therapist can help by talking through your options and providing you with more information on what might be suitable.
  • Insurance coverage: Bear in mind that many states don’t allow out-of-state therapists when it comes to insurance coverage, so check the location of the online therapist before you begin since they will need to be licensed in your home state.
  • Therapist experience: It is important to choose a therapist that is experienced in and knowledgeable about the specific issue that you are looking to get help with.

Today, online therapy has become a popular and viable way for people to access mental health services more easily and from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Bolstering Brands and Products Through Innovative Live Productions

These days, even products that have remained largely the same at their core for decades need to explore the ways in which new technology can assist them in connecting to customers. Right now, the tech proving to be a game-changer for brands and products across several industries is live streaming.

Having been widely adopted by the general public through the likes of Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and Twitch, companies now feel comfortable using it as a means to showcase or advance their offering. For the uninitiated, a live stream isn’t much more than a video stream, but when applied correctly, the fact that it’s live makes all of the difference.

From a new way to experience online products to luxury brands offering an innovative way to captivate potential customers, live-streamed productions look to be the way forward.

Making the experience even better

Perhaps the most profound way in which live streaming is being applied is to products that rely a great deal on the experience. When online, people can find just about anything that they want, but for an online-based product to become better, it can build into a live stream, offering real-time engagement with the brand and the product. The best way that this works is when a live stream is a two-way event, with those watching being able to influence or engage with those hosting the stream.

The furthest that live streaming has developed in this sense is in the advancement of online games, specifically online game show and table games. Take live roulette, for example; it’s played in rounds with the players wanting to bet on numbers for each spin. So, the game streams the real table and croupier to the player, with OCR technology set up to read the table while the player bets through the UI on their phone or computer. Suddenly, roulette isn’t a video-simulated online game, it’s real, live, and offers that same bricks ‘n mortar casino experience at the convenience of the users.

The same can be seen in the way that music is evolving its online presence. For decades, aspiring artists have posted their covers on video platforms like YouTube, but now there’s a surge of people staging live shows rather than just offering on-demand content. Data analysis of a popular live music platform has found that not only are viewers overwhelmingly positive about the live-streamed experience, but they’re also very likely to buy into products as a direct result of the live experience.

Building into live commerce

The idea of truly organized and direct live commerce isn’t a concept that’s overly well adopted in western markets. Sure, so-called influencers have been paid to sling promoted items over videos on social media, but in China, the likes of Taobao Live and Baidu have crafted full channels dedicated to shoppable live streams. They work similarly to the influencers, but the streams from the likes of fashion site MOGU are specifically designed to showcase products, help customers, answer questions, and more: offering shopping and entertainment all in one.

Luxury fashion brands are starting to explore the potential of live streams, too. There’s Rihanna’s Fenty Social Club on Instagram, which offered a form of escapism while also raising brand awareness, and even informal meets from Marc Jacobs to connect to consumers. As it stands, live streaming fashion shows is the primary use of the technology at the luxury end, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some fast fashion outlets explore the live streaming techniques that have been so successful in China.

There’s so much that companies can do with live streaming, from offering interactive options to live chat windows, that just about any brand can benefit from exploring the technology.

Inspired by the lush and varied landscapes of California, Founders Oliver Trevena (Actor/Host/Entrepreneur) and native Californian Vanessa Hudgens (Actress/Music Artist/Influencer and now Entrepreneur) looked to their own desert regions to locally source prickly pear cactus fruit. Their vision is for consumers to sip on Cali in a can. Prickly Pear Cactus Fruit, known for its rare and potent healthful properties, is brought to life in their first, brand new, canned beverage product. Caliwater is not only delicious and organic, but super hydrating, refreshing, and filled with rare antioxidants and digestion benefits. Additionally, from every can sold five cents will be donated up to one million dollars to nonprofit No Kid Hungry.

Caliwater is a functional beverage. The functional benefits of cactus water include being high in antioxidants (which is great for the skin), reduction of cholesterol levels, natural elimination of hangovers, regulation of blood sugar levels, and possession of antiviral properties. Only 25 calories per can, Caliwater is organic, vegan, Kosher, and non-GMO.

The Benefits: Prickly pear is full of antioxidants, which research shows provide a myriad of health and wellness benefits. Early studies have shown evidence of a decrease in cholesterol, specifically LDL (bad) cholesterol. The study showed overall levels dropping significantly. Some research also indicates that prickly pear may provide a complementary solution to regulating blood sugar levels by decreasing regular blood sugar. Prickly pear cactus has natural antiviral properties. Research has found that it has antiviral activity against viral and respiratory diseases, as well as protects nerve cells.

5 strategies for online casinos

Are you looking for strategies to win at online casinos? It’s not as easy as it sounds. There are many different strategies that can be used and the right one will depend on your personal style and what kind of games you prefer to play. We’ll go over 5 strategies below, followed by a quick summary of each one.

Casinos have been always been a hot topic. People love to gamble and there are so many different ways they can do it. Some people prefer to go out and visit casinos while others like to stay at home or on their mobile devices. The latter has become increasing popular in the recent years, so much so that now there are online games available for anyone who wants to play them.

For new casino players is can be difficult or confusing to make sense of the games and it can be hard to understand what to do to make more money when playing. If you are looking to make some money while gambling, or at very least not lose too much of it, here are 5 strategies for online casinos.

Understand the bonuses

A welcome bonus is essentially a way that the casino tries to draw the attention of new players by allowing them to play various games for free for a few round or giving them some free money to bet on a game of their choosing.

Welcomes bonuses are a fantastic way to test out a casino and see what games they have and what gems you like, all without spending any money. This makes choosing an online casino extremely important, which is why Casino Reviews recommends Jackpotcity, as they have some of the best bonuses and many games to choose from. There are two different kinds of bonuses; depots and no-depots bonuses, and they are exactly what they sound like. A deposit bonus requires you to deposit a certain amount into your account before you can qualify to receive the bonus where as a no deposit bonus doesn’t require anything.

Of course all of this has to come with a catch, this being the wagering requirements that you have to fulfil within a certain amount of time before you can reviewed you winnings from the bonus.

Choose the right games

The games are the main reason why people are at online casinos, obviously. When it comes to casino games, some of them give you better odds of winning than others, and these are the games you should be sticking to if you are wanting to make a little bit of money. Games like slots are fun to play but most of the time you will never make any money from them because there is no skill or strategy involved. However, table’s games do require skill and strategy which you can learn and practice allowing you to understand the game and predicts the outcomes.

Have a budget

Having a budget is so important because it is so easy to lose track of time and get so into a game and end up spending way more than you had thought you might. If you set a budget you will know exactly when to call it quits and you will never end up in any kind of trouble. You could set a budget that could purely be based off of how much money you spend and then once you have spent that money you have to stop playing, or you could give yourself a set budget which allows you to play with your winnings too. This will let you play for a bit longer but will most likely leave you with no winnings at all.

Play slow and take breaks

Following on from the previous point, gambling at online casinos can happen very quickly with being able to play multiple games at once, and slots allowing you to play up to 600 spins per hour. These costs can rack up quickly. It is important to remember that gambling is an addictive hobby and by playing slowly and taking breaks often you allow yourself to come back to the real world and just gain your sense of reality again so that you don’t end up spending all of your money.

Play at the right casino

Before you even start playing at a casino you need to know what kind of reputation the casino has and what kind of licensing it has. With so many different online casinos out there now, it’s no surprise that some of them are fraudulent. By choosing the casinos with the best reviews and ratings, and ones that also have the right licensing, you also give yourself the best shot at playing at one of the better online casinos.

Starting Your Summer Health Kick

Although you should be looking after your health all year round, most people feel more inspired to go on a health kick as the summer season approaches. It’s probably because the colder time of year makes people want to stay inside and enjoy comfort foods, and overindulging during the festive period can be quite common for most. It could also be because the lighter days can give you a bit of an energy boost, inspiring a little bit more motivation to get up and be active. If you’re ready to shed your winter clothes and feel like you could do with a bit of a healthy boost, here are a few points you should focus on.

Get into a Good Exercise Routine

As gyms have been closed for months on end, this has meant that a lot of people have fallen out of their usual exercise routines. While going out for runs and doing home workouts might have worked for some, others might not have had the opportunity or motivation to do so. If you want to give your body a boost, you will need to get back into a good routine when it comes to your workouts. If you weren’t much of a gym-bunny, to begin with, and you still aren’t keen on signing up to one, don’t worry. Just find an exercise you enjoy, whether that’s going for an evening walk or taking a dance class. The more fun you make exercise, the greater the chance you will keep it up.

Consume a Healthy Diet

Another issue you might have struggled with during lockdown restrictions is maintaining a healthy diet. As people haven’t been able to go out for meals or stick to normal routines, many of them have been taking comfort in junk foods and take-out. Doing this occasionally is perfectly fine, but if you have been overdoing it you might have noticed some weight gain, or that you’re feeling more sluggish in general. Try to focus on eating a more balanced diet to make yourself feel more energized and to give your body all the right nutrition that it needs. This means plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, and healthy carbohydrates and fats such as quinoa, sweet potato, avocados, and nuts. You should also make sure you’re eating enough protein as this will help to stay you fuller for longer. Red meat is a good source for this, but there is a lot of protein in salmon, which might be a healthier option.

Keep Hydrated

You need to keep yourself hydrated so your body can function normally. Drinking plenty of water will make it easier to flush out toxins, keep your skin looking great, help to keep you alert, and should help keep headaches at bay. It’s recommended that you aim to drink around two liters of water a day.

Sleep Well

Getting a good night’s sleep is another essential factor in good health. During this time your body can recover and recharge, but if you don’t get enough sleep, you might find yourself craving more sugary and fatty foods to give you an energy boost. If you do struggle to settle down at night, try having a hot shower or bath before bed, or perhaps some meditation to help calm your mind.

If you want to start feeling healthier this summer, use these simple tips to help you achieve your goals and feel your best.
