ADIDAS X IVY PARK – IVY HEART

THE CAPSULE COLLECTION, INSPIRED BY LOVE JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY, GETS TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER IN REDS, PINKS AND NEUTRALS, WITH BOLD LOOKS IN INCLUSIVE SIZES AND FOOTWEAR FOR EVERYONE.

adidas and IVY PARK CEO Beyoncé announce IVY HEART, a new capsule collection inspired by love, just in time for Valentine’s Day, from the ongoing adidas x IVY PARK creative partnership.

As with previous adidas x IVY PARK offerings, this latest collection features distinct looks with inclusive and in gender-neutral sizing in fashion styles, performance gear, footwear, and accessories.  The line is available online at adidas.com on February 9th and February 10th in selection stores globally.

The Campaign

This cinematic campaign focuses on the guiding thematic color behind the collection. In the Western world, red is commonly associated with love, romance and sensuality. While in the East, red is attributed to good fortune and joy. Wherever you are, it’s clear that this color represents positivity. The concept is centered around bringing people together from all different backgrounds through this one color that’s sentimental to so many. This theme is illustrated through enhanced lighting, bold yet minimal production design, elevated styling and most importantly the international cast. Cultural cues from specific iconography and symbols are explored in visual motifs with sensitivity and intention. IVY PARK pays homage to various cultures inspired by this color, incorporating red through a futuristic yet authentic lens.

The campaign is led by a diverse cast of models, including actress and model Karrueche Tran, model and actor Tyson Beckford, singer/songwriter, actor Troye Sivan, model and actress Shu Pei and actress/comedian Naomi Watanabe.

The Collection

No matter how you define it, love – most importantly love of one’s self – is at the core of IVY PARK’s newest drop. Bold and sexy looks are an integral part of IVY HEART, which is aptly decked out in a spectrum of vibrant reds, playful pinks, and nuanced neutrals. In colors that include Candy Paint (Shock Pink), Lipstick Smudge (Red), Raspberry Beret (Power Red), Red, Red Whine (Cherry Wood) and Cheeks (Off-White), the line is punctuated by tactile materials like velour, ribbed knit, and faux latex.  IVY PARK’s latest collaboration with adidas is further complemented by performance fabrics and graphic prints, allowing ample designs to mix-and-match from work out to night out.

The capsule collection’s design touchpoints are rooted in Beyoncé’s love of athleticism and fashion, merged with adidas’ performance and innovation. The references culminate in a collection of silhouettes that are sporty, stylish, and above all, unique. Conceived around three pillars of foundation, active, and fashion, IVY PARK’s latest collection is highlighted by the Velour Dress and Tracksuit, Faux Latex Puffer, Pique Jumpsuit and Sequin Duster. Accessories include a 5-Panel Hat, a clutch and a Heart-Lip Belt Bag.

Footwear consists of both on-the-court and off-duty models.  The range is highlighted by a new iteration of the classic Stan Smith sneaker in Cheeks (Off-White), with a rubber dipped midsole.  Additionally, the collection introduces a new silhouette, the IVP Superstar Plim, a mule style shoe inspired by the iconic adidas Superstar in Cheeks (Off-White).  The line also features a new colorway of the IVP Savage sneaker in Cheeks (Off-White), a IVP swim slide in Lipstick Smudge (Red) and the Ultra boost in Candy Paint (Shock Pink).

Globally available on February 9 online and February 10 in select stores.

A&A Family Dance Series

A&A Ballet (A&A), under the artistic direction of Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik, announced a new Family Dance Series at the Athenaeum Theater, premiering May 14, 2022, at 3 PM. Fresh from a successful Chicago Youth American Grand Prix competition, the company will debut their take on the internationally acclaimed “Carnival of the Animals” and a world premiere of “The Firebird,” featuring brand-new choreography by Kremnev and sand art animation by Anastasia Antropova. Additional choreography for “The Firebird” will be done by Braeden Barnes. Designed to be enjoyed by the entire family, the selections are recommended for ages three and above.

“We are very excited to renew the Family Dance Theater Series on a new level,” said Kremnev. “As founding Artistic Directors of the Joffrey Academy and the Joffrey Studio Company, we started the Children’s Ballet Theater program at the Joffrey in 2010 by presenting new innovative family-oriented works that excite a new generation of young audiences. Our demanding XXI Century requires us to experiment with new visual forms and to be creative and daring. A&A has a wonderful record of producing new works, so we are happy to share this program with the Chicago audiences.”

Described as “equal parts comedic and captivating with a forceful wit and choreography bursting with nuanced athleticism” by The Huffington Post, Carnival of the Animals showcases Kremnev’s talent as an electric storyteller. Breathing new life into a beloved masterpiece, Kremnev’s adaptation serves as a playful reminder to ballet enthusiasts, while introducing new audiences to the art form itself. The costumes, created by Laura Skarich and Ballet Rosa, have been designed specifically for each dancer featuring original art digitally printed onto the fabric.

The world premiere of “Firebird” is Kremnev’s 21st ballet, and his first to feature sand art designed by artist Anastasia Antropova. Projected onto the stage throughout the performance, the sand art combines art, music, and dance by drawing in the sand to create moving effects, enhancing the storytelling of the performers. Serving as an accessible introduction to the work of Stravinsky, “Firebird” is a celebration of the power of music and ballet.

Tickets for the Family Dance Series featuring “Carnival of the Animals” and “Firebird” are on sale now and can be purchased HERE.

Thomas Kelham European Range

Inspired by the international success of its Lancia Aurelia ‘Outlaw’ project, Thornley Kelham is expanding its range of modernized and reinterpreted automotive icons, with a new ‘European’ brand. Over the next 12 months, three new reinterpreted motoring legends will be revealed, having been meticulously upgraded and enhanced by the Thornley Kelham team.

Late in 2021, Thornley Kelham first debuted the ‘European’ name for the final three editions of its Aurelia Outlaw, voted as the ‘restomod’ readers of Goodwood Road & Racing would most like to buy. A high-spec ‘European CSL’ variant is the ultimate incarnation of the project, with a handcrafted aluminum body, upgraded ‘Busso’ V6 engine, and fully modernized mechanicals. The result of 5,000 hours of work–800 spent on preparation and paintwork alone–it is the very definition of bespoke, hand-crafted automotive luxury.

Now, the Thornley Kelham team will use experience gleaned from the Aurelia Outlaw project, allied to its multi-marque expertise in producing concours-winning restorations, to expand the ‘European’ line-up. Each member of the ‘European’ range will be authentically reimagined, beautifully handcrafted, and upgraded in ways faithful to that model’s specific personality and lineage.

For more than 10 years, the Thornley Kelham team has been masters of both authentic award-winning restoration work and bespoke, upgraded collector cars. From its 32,000sq/ft fully-equipped facility in the Cotswolds, a talented team of over 30 has produced the Restoration of the Year-winning Bizzarrini 5300GT Strada, the London Concours ‘Best in Show’ Frazer-Nash BMW 328, and the Concorso d’Eleganza class-winning Lancia Astura Torpedo by Viotti.

When customers require additional performance, they can turn to Thornley Kelham’s expert in-house engineering and engine-building team, who can imbue existing historic engines with incredible levels of performance. At the 2018 Le Mans Classic, for example, three cars–two Invicta S Types and a Lagonda–used engines prepared by TK engineers. One S Type produced double the output of the original engine, and the other the overall fastest nighttime speed of the race.

To qualify as a member of the ‘European’ program, a project must bring together this world-class engine-building and chassis experience with decades of top-tier Concours-standard restoration expertise and a dedication to ultimate perfection. In short, it must fulfill three key criteria: design, details, and drive. Derelict examples of iconic sports cars will be transformed into revitalized legends, ready to be used and enjoyed for many decades more.

Simon Thornley, co-founder of Thornley Kelham, said: “In the 1950s, Max Hoffman almost single-handedly turned the American market onto the beautiful agile sports cars of Europe, including Porsche, BMW, and Alfa Romeo. The exotic allure of cars from this part of the world was so enticing that Porsche even sold a number of 356s to the American market badged as ‘European’. It was the first time many Americans had ever encountered these brands, broadening horizons with fresh, exciting new sports cars. It’s this golden era that we want to recapture with the ‘European’ program, offering modern-day buyers the same kind of thrill of finding something new, something beautiful, and something exhilarating.”

Creation of each of the new ‘European’ models is underway with the first commissions of each already secured. Numbers will be strictly limited, with prices from between £250,000-£600,000 plus donor car depending on specification and model.

The show kicked off with supermodel Jessica Minh Anh sporting a classic high-fashion red fishtail dress. The piece of art was produced by the Malaysian brand Emmanuel Haute Couture, accompanied with Jessica Minh Anh’s pioneering seashell-inspired hairdo.

The show continued with a remarkable array of embellished gowns with accentuated waistlines. Showcased in the colors of white and pink, each dress imitated the essence of the ocean.

Decorated with impeccable adornments with not one piece looking alike, Emmanuel Haute Couture maintained to raise the standard of pure excellence. The J Spring Fashion Show 2022 marks the third moment of the two fashion entities working together.

Then after Ngali showcased their ready-to-wear “Nginha” collection. The Australian brand took reference from serene, open areas to create a series compiled with flowing, moving pieces. Australian indigenous artist Lindsay Malay’s designs were printed onto silk adding for an added textured feel throughout the series.

US designer Elizabeth Southwood’s Sauvage brand showed off their latest collection full of daring yet constructive swimwear. The collection was motivated by the “year of the tiger,” sporting an assortment of unique prints, Swarovski crystals and innovative features.

The elaborate, couture collection “ORO” was dominated by gold accents and meticulously constructed pieces. Pakistani innovator Syeda Amera’s pieces emulated feminine styles embraced with hand-woven embroideries. “ORO” provided a unique interpretation and level of elevation needed within the space of couture.

Consisting of pieces that looked as if they were walking amongst the clouds is the South American designer La Paix from Paraguay. The couture, high-end aura from the collection took inspiration from all the pristine parts of life including nature, architecture, culture, art and life. Each piece had a dramatic yet contemporary flare.

GLAUDI from the California designer Johana Hernandez commemorated life after the pandemic with their collection. Standouts were comprised of eye-catching details, satin shimmering dresses and elegant gowns that filled the collection.

Jessica Minh Anh closed the GLAUDI show as a picture-perfect modern fairy-tale princess. The elaborate yet chic hand-beaded haute couture gown showcased intricate beading of crystals that caught every inch of sunlight shone upon them. Highlighting Jessica Minh Anh’s petite waistline with an A-line silhouette, the finale piece was truly mesmerizing.

Having worked with Jessica Minh Anh on other elaborate projects at distinctive venues, African designer Kine Dion had the perfect recipe to showcase everything we admire about modern femininity. Placing emphasis on individuality and diversity, the collection was encompassed by garments full of distinct weaving and embroidery tactics.

The finale showing of the J Spring Fashion Show 2022 was held by Vietnamese celebrity designer Hoang Hai. The “East meets West’ inspiration point created a unique haute couture collection full of White, blue, gold and red idiosyncratic pieces.

Jessica Minh Anh closed out the show in an impeccably designed silver dress full of Swarovski crystals. The final piece of art referenced the profile of a swan as Jessica Minh Anh glided down the catwalk. The gown itself took over a thousand hours to make and revealed a high cut slit with a deep trail. Jessica Minh Anh headed the array of models through the ocean catwalk pictured amongst the deep oceans.

Another previous partner with Jessica Minh Anh, the Parisian hair accessory brand Alexandre de Paris created pieces the array of collections. They contributed flowered hairbands, butterfly/dragonfly hairpins and jeweled headbands, bringing an esteemed sense of charm.

Jessica Minh Anh stated, “This particular moment in history provides an opportunity for a sustainable “restart” of our society. Costa Toscana aligns perfectly with my mission of highlighting sustainability in a visually attractive way. It was an honour to celebrate the resurgence of business and style on the world’s newest LNG-powered cruise ship.”

Mario Zanettic, President of Costa Cruises, spoke to the influence of the show, stating, “It was a great pleasure to have Jessica Minh Anh on board transforming our new LNG flagship into a phenomenal catwalk. She is a pioneer in marrying fashion with sustainability, just like Costa in offering the most advanced sustainable ships. It was a perfect event to celebrate such an innovative ship like Costa Toscana, which in a few days will leave for her first cruise, starting the full resumption of the Costa fleet in the next summer.”

This next-level fashion show amongst the sea holds the place for Jessica Minh Anh’s 26th imaginative venture since her initial catwalk atop England’s London’s Tower Bridge. Is all entertainment online in modern times?

The way in which we all receive, view, and enjoy entertainment has completely changed over the last couple of decades as technological advancements have seemingly made traditional methods appear to become outdated, old-fashioned, and even obsolete in some cases.

Indeed, when you think of the traditional forms of entertainment, some may begin to think about methods such as books, radio, and even traditional TV as many no longer watch it in the same way that they used to.

Let’s look at how technology has had an impact on entertainment in modern times and how it has changed it for the future.

The rise of online streaming

Perhaps one of the biggest changes to have been experienced in recent years is regarding the way that people watch TV, as many will now use streaming platforms to enjoy their favourite TV shows, series, and movies.

Streaming platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video are just a couple of those to exist, whilst platforms such as Apple TV+ has also started to emerge due to the continued evolution and changes in consumer attitudes and behaviours regarding the way in which TV is watched.

More and more people typically tend to have less time than before to watch live TV, therefore streaming platforms have become the main choice for many since they allow viewers to be able to watch what they want on-demand and on their own convenience.

Online gaming has improved

Gamers will have noticed that video games have been able to evolve just as much as the other traditional forms of entertainment in the modern era, as they are able to experience some of the ultimate gaming experiences that were not available to them just a few years ago.

Players can interact with each other via the use of headsets and microphones which will have had an immediate positive impact on the gaming experience, as there was once a time when this was simply impossible to do.

Interactive streams are now available

Many forms of traditional entertainment have become more interactive in the modern era, too, which is perhaps why older forms have started to decline and become rather disregarded by many.

Indeed, there are social platforms such as Twitch and YouTube that have allowed streamers to be able to interact with their audiences whilst games have started to become rather interactive too. As highlighted, many have improved in regard to communication aspects, but some have even become more interactive. For instance, blackjack and roulette games with a live dealer are amongst those to have benefited as players can communicate with another person and see everything that they are doing.

What is the reason for the decline of traditional entertainment forms?

There are a couple of different factors that could perhaps be suggested or be seen as drivers in the reason why traditional entertainment forms have gone on the decline.

As mentioned, technology is a huge factor, whilst there will be some that would perhaps suggest that the lack of convenience, they provide can also be an element. For instance, some would argue that books are outdated as people can now read them online or listen to them as an audiobook, whilst the radio has suffered because people are able to listen to the tracks, they want via music streaming platforms that also provide them with the opportunity to listen to several podcasts.

With audiences able to benefit from on-demand services and the technology to have been created over the last couple of decades, it is hardly a surprise that all forms of entertainment in modern times have gone online.

Will Online Casinos Dominate the iGaming Scene in 2022?

Casino gaming is one of the biggest iGaming markets in the world and is set to enjoy a fantastic 2022. There are many reasons why online casinos are going to dominate the iGaming scene in 2021 and we will look at some those reasons in detail below.

We continue to see the introduction of new online casino regulations across the planet and that is great news for the online casino industry. Taking the United States as an example, new states are beginning to introduce legal online casino gaming for the first time in 2022. This brings the option of legal online casinos to millions of people and even if only a small minority of those people choose to use online casinos on a regular basis, it still means thousands of new people accessing online casino games. Germany and Netherlands are two European countries who have made online casinos legal recently and again, this is only going to add to the numbers of people playing online casino games. As countries begin to realise how many people are accessing offshore online casinos, they are choosing to act and introduce legal casino gaming. Nations can make money from online casinos by charging fees and tax, making it an attractive option for the government. We expect to see more states in the US passing legislation for online casinos to operate and this will only add to the number of people playing online casino games in 2022.

Betting on sports and eSports online is big business and an excellent product but neither can compete with online casinos in terms of fresh content. This is another reason online casinos will dominate the iGaming scene in 2022 and casinos introduce new games regularly. It is difficult for sportsbooks to create new ways to bet on sport and while new online games are developed for eSports, they do not come with the same regularity as online casino games. Online casino game developers are working hard around the clock to bring new and exciting games to players. Online slots are a good example of a casino gaming category that receives plenty of attention and new slot games are released every month. At Dunder online casino, you are sure to see new additions to the slots section of the website regularly and this is what keeps people coming back for more.

One element of online casinos that continues to grow and improve is live casino gaming. There is a social element to eSports but only really for the players, who are communicating with each other during the game. For the person betting on the outcome of the game, it is a case of sitting back and watching the action unfold, like in-play sports betting. However, live casino games allow for interaction between the players and the dealer. Live casino games replicate the feeling of playing in a brick-and-mortar casino and they became extremely popular throughout 2020 and 2021. There is no reason, with continued innovation, why live casino gaming is not going to continue thriving in 2022 and beyond.

We are expecting to see the introduction of improved virtual reality casinos in 2022, which is extremely exciting. Virtual and augmented reality casinos allow you to ‘walk’ into a casino, look around, and choose the game you want to play. Although virtual reality casinos have yet to really take off, we expecting to see major improvements in the coming years. 2022 could see a breakthrough in virtual reality casino gaming and that is only going to add to the dominance of online casinos in the 2022 iGaming scene.
