Today, promising Latin music star, Jay Wheeler released his brand new single and music video “Take My Life” featuring Tyla Yaweh. 360 Magazine was delighted at the energetic energy, passionate lyricism, and flawless production of the sizzling single.

Jay Wheeler is one of the most prominent Latin artists of the moment, garnering over a billion streams and multi-platinum records in the United States and Spain. Recently, his single “Viendo El Techo” (20 million views on YouTube) reached the #1 spot at Billboard’s Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythmic charts, which came after winning the “Nueva Generacion Masculina” award at Univision’s Premios Juventud, continuing to position himself as one of the most sought after Latin artists of this generation.

The music video, directed by Nuno Gomes takes place in an enchanted forest with a lot of ethereal creatures that give life to the story as Jay Wheeler searches for his lost love before it’s too late.

Jay Wheeler became known after a video of him singing went viral in 2016. Thanks to his newfound fame, he decided to pursue a career in music, eventually signing with Dynamic Records in 2018. He went on to release two albums produced by famed DJ Nelson: Platnico (2019) and Platnicos (2020), which included the mega hit that really catapulted him to fame, La Curiosidad“ feat. Myke Towers (592 million views on YouTube).

After the most successful year of his career, he kicked off 2021 experimenting with different genres and sounds, continuing to rake in massive streaming numbers in the 9 and 10 digits, and proving he truly is “la voz favorita” (the favorite voice). LIVE NATION URBAN PRESENTS BLACK MUSIC MONTH TO COLLABORATE WITH VARIOUS ICONIC RECORD LABELS AND RELEASE EXCLUSIVE MUSICAL CONTENT ACROSS THE MONTH OF JUNE

Today, Live Nation Urban presents Black Music Month. Across the month of June, The Live Nation Urban team will collaborate with various iconic record labels each week on the release of exclusive musical content celebrating the footprint and evolution of black culture within the music industry. Content will include various music videos, artist clips, live show recaps and interviews reflecting on the history and success of each label, interviews and live performances.

The content will be available across each specific record label and Live Nation Urban’s social channels. Five labels have partnered with Live Nation Urban to partake in their celebration of Black Music Month. The list of labels include Atlantic Records, Columbia Records, Epic Records, Interscope Records, and Motown Records. Live Nation Urban’s “Meet The Founders” series airs weekly and serves as an explorative conversation with executives, crew and staff from a variety of brands, entertainment events and live shows on building their brands and experiences within the industry.

Each upcoming episode for the month of June will feature a record label executive in conversation about their history within the industry and how Black music has influenced their career. Past participants have included Brandon McEachern (Broccoli City Festival), Simone Mari & Gia Lowe (CURLFEST/Curly Girl Collective), Joi Brown (The Culture Creators & SVP of Marketing & Brand Partnerships at Atlantic Records), Ron Hill (Inspiration and Partner of Exodus Music & Arts Festival & VP of Artist Development at RCA), and Shawn Gee (Live Nation Urban & Partner of Maverick). Additionally, Live Nation Urban’s Black Music Month will include various performances including Comfort Covers and Soundcheck Performances.

Comfort Covers is a series featuring a select group of musicians from each record label roster performing renditions of a track or medley of tracks from a particular artist that they favor or have been inspired by. Past participants have included Alex Mali, Sebastian Mikael, Kevin Ross and Savannah Cristina.

Soundcheck Performances, a series which serves as an acoustic and scaled back performance for artists. Past participants have included Rayana Jay, Rileyy Lanez, JAHMED and Brave Williams. These performances will be featured on Live Nation Urban’s Instagram and YouTube channels.

SESAC Awards La Industria

The annual SESAC Latina Awards gala recognized the success and grand musical contributions of La Industria Publishing (better known as La Industria INC) and its founder Juan Diego Medina, with 9 well-deserved awards.

SESAC is in charge of protecting and representing its members (authors and editors) in their right to be paid for the public manifestation of their works.

La Industria Publishing is a record label that has signed artists such as Manuel Turizo, Valentino, Chocquibtown and Nicky Jam. It’s one of the editors with the highest current growths and is responsible for hundreds of radio and digital platform hits. Its contributions on the musical stage is unquestionable.

Juan Diego Medina attended the 2019 SESAC Latina Gala held in Beverly Hills, California on June 5, to accept the nine fruits of his endless labor and growing success.
