BLUEBUCKSCLAN – I GUESS

On August 26, Los Angeles rap duo BlueBucksClan drop their smooth new single “I Guess.” via Out The Blue Records/Capitol Records. “I Guess” will be off their forthcoming mixtape Clan Way 3 out October 7thPre-save Clan Way 3 HERE. Accompanying the track is a New York-set video which, despite transplanting the buzzing duo to the opposite coast, finds the MCs DJ and Jeeezy Obama perfectly in their element. Watch it HERE.

Since their emergence three years ago, BlueBucksClan have been at the forefront of L.A. rap’s new wave, trading jokes, threats, and flexes in flows that first seem like off-the-cuff conversations before revealing their sly rhythmic complexity. “I Guess” preserves that sense of unpredictability, even in a package that is outwardly calmer. The dreamlike beat, courtesy of Ten11 and AyyMook, is a tantalizing canvas for the rappers. The song’s video, directed by KLO Vizionz, sees Jeeezy Obama and DJ trekking through New York City late at night.

In other news, yesterday the one and only Drake called BlueBucksClan “Two goats getting bars off” on their fire in the booth freestyle. Watch it HERE.

On “I Guess” The duo’s typically conversational flows pierce through the fog. When DJ raps, “Felon in the driver seat, I ain’t got no chauffeur,” it sounds more like a wry statement of fact than something meant to intimidate. Later, when Jeeezy Obama says his $20,000 guest verse fee doesn’t guarantee he’ll post the song, you understand that it’s not open for discussion. The rising hitmakers are simply telling it like it is.

I Guess” is the latest entry in a hot streak for the rappers. It arrives on the heels of “FYM” and “Just Hit Me,” a pair of singles that showcases BlueBucksClan at their best. These tracks were preceded by See the Difference and Clan Virus 2, projects that cemented the chemistry that propelled them into the spotlight and led Complex and Billboard to herald them as “Rappers to Watch.” Now, as they release “I Guess,” it’s clear that they’re the standard-bearers for a new generation of Los Angeles greats. To date the duo has amassed nearly 200 million streams in the U.S. alone.

BlueBucksClan are bringing their infectious bars to the stage. The guys are currently on a north American tour with fellow west coast rapper OHGEESY, which includes stops in Chicago, Reno, Vancouver, and more.

DARK WEB × MARY JANE & BLACK CAT

Face it, readers, you just hit the double jackpot! Mary Jane and Black Cat, two of the greatest loves of Peter Parker’s life, grab the spotlight in an explosive new limited series this December! The five-issue saga will tie directly into the upcoming Spider-Man/X-Men/Venom crossover, DARK WEB, and be written by Jed MacKay. After taking the character of Black Cat on a whirlwind of adventures in recent years in back-to-back solo series and the current Iron Cat limited series, the hit writer will now continue his transformative work on Marvel’s premier super thief, and this time, he’s taken MJ along for the ride! MacKay will be joined by artist Vincenzo Carratù, an up-and-coming talent making his exciting Marvel Comics debut!

Earlier this year, MJ and Felicia joined forces to save Peter in MacKay’s Mary Jane & Black Cat: Beyond #1, an acclaimed one-shot that went on to receive a second printing. With the way Peter’s relationship stands with them in the current run of Amazing Spider-Man, the developments in this series are sure to be even crazier! Set against the twisted backdrop of DARK WEB, Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy find themselves thrown into one another’s paths and then into the demonic dimension of LIMBO! But something has changed with MJ, and she’s not the only one keeping secrets – Felicia’s got a guilty conscience, and it’s playing havoc with their escape plan!

“I’ve kind of lost track of how many lives Felicia has left at this point, but she keeps coming back- and this time she’s brought a friend!” MacKay said. “Getting back to Mary Jane and Black Cat after their one-shot last year has been a delight—and seeing how they’ve been catching up on all the drama that’s happened since then has been, well, catnip.”

The team-up series Marvel fans have been waiting for is here! Check out the cover below by J. Scott Campbell, who once again lends his superstar talents to MJ and Black Cat’s saga, and pick up MARY JANE & BLACK CAT #1 when it arrives in December! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

VERY HANDSOME STUDIO

Listen to the creators of a Very Handsome Studio on 360 MAG Apple/Spotify podcast HERE.

In 2020, Vy Truong and Han Dang, co-founded the emerging Houston-based architectural design firm, Very Handsome Studio [VHS]. Together, the duo, like Megan and Beyoncé in Savage, has a decade of industry experience, specializing in the areas of housing, education, hospitality and commerce.

Truong was born in Houston and attended Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design, majoring in interior architecture. Truong’s mother was a real estate agent and often remembers visiting open houses, “Not so great homes.” Upon witnessing numerous lackluster spaces, Truong became interested in transforming them, “After you see so many, the first thing you kinda wanna do is [ask yourself the question] … how do I improve this space?” It was then that she started her journey as an interior designer. Thus, once she finished her academic career, she quickly concluded that staying in her hometown would be financially advantageous. After all, this is Act I of their renaissance.

Dang, a Vietnamese native, also studied at Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design and holds a degree in Interior Architecture. In the course of adolescence, her insatiable desire for placement and texture was evident. She has a memory of collecting design magazines and cutting pages. While in college, she studied abroad in Central Europe. This tour was an eye-opener for interior inspiration.

When Covid-19 struck, completely locking down Houston’s city center, it adversely affected multiple businesses within a variety of sectors. On the upside, the economic downturn allowed Dang and Truong to solidify their atelier at a much lower price point. Nevertheless, the design dyad remained positive and became more sensitive to the growth and development of their enterprise, “You win some, you lose some.” To date, their agency has witnessed an increase in new accounts, resulting in more than twenty divestitures since its inception.

Very Handsome Studio enthusiastically works in tandem with a plethora of establishments as well as a myriad of restaurants flourishing in the vicinity of their headquarters. Still in its infancy, Truong and Dang of VHS are far beyond achieving what they never imagined.

About Very Handsome Studio:

VHS projects include a conceptual Smash Burger with a bodega theme, children’s academy, speakeasy slash sushi bar alongside an Italian seafood restaurant. At last, Truong and Dang are ecstatic to share their eclectic conceptions with the world, “We are knocking on wood until the doors open.” And soon, they will be at the podium receiving a Cooper Hewitt, the Smithsonian Design Museum’s National Design Award.

MADISON BEER RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO “DANGEROUS” AHEAD OF READING AND LEEDS PERFORMANCES

WATCH HERE

Today, Madison Beer releases her new single “Dangerous” with its official music video. The drop comes ahead of her performances in the UK this weekend at the Reading and Leeds festivals, where she’ll perform “Dangerous” live for the first time. You can listen to the track here via EPIC Records.

“Dangerous” is co-produced and co-written by Madison alongside Tobias Jesso Jr and James Francies, as well as longtime collaborators Tim Sommers, Jeremy “Kinetics” Dussolliet, and Leroy Clampitt. The song is a beautiful showcase of Madison’s vocals through lush harmonies and dreamy production, complete with an ethereal string arrangement. The cinematic visual, co-directed by Madison, finds the rising pop star in an emotional performance of the track, centerstage amongst an orchestra ensemble.

“Dangerous is the start of a more honest, vulnerable and mature chapter,” says Madison. “It’s about accepting that some situations didn’t pan out the way you imagined. And it’s about questioning your own responsibility in a relationship. I’m really excited for fans to hear this new side and hope they love it as much as I do!”

Following unprecedented success as an independent artist, rising pop star Madison Beer released her major label album debut Life Support, in early 2021. The album, a strong personal and artistic statement, received acclaim from the likes of V Magazine, Nylon, and NME who called it a “thrilling listen.” Life Support features certified platinum single “Selfish,” and “Boyshit,” which Billboard said “makes a late case for one of the best pop chorus openings of 2020.” The album saw Madison continue to be at the helm of her artistry through writing her own songs, producing, and creating her own visuals. Prior to “Dangerous,” she released “Reckless,” the first track to come from her upcoming project. The song was her personal best streaming week debut on Spotify and currently has over 234 million streams on the platform.

Over the years Madison has proven herself as a powerful brand partner, most recently as an ambassador for Fenty Beauty. Previously she partnered with Morphe Cosmetics to create a signature line, which was showcased in her edition of Vogue’s marquee video series “Beauty Secrets.” Her episode became one of the highest performing installments with over 12 million views on YouTube and went viral on TikTok, selling out the Morphe products featured globally for 6 months. Madison is also the face of Victoria’s Secret’s line of Tease Fragrances, with a campaign shot by legendary photographer Mario Sorrenti. Currently, Madison has over 4.2 billion streams across her catalog globally and commands a highly engaged social following of over 32 million on Instagram, 17 million on TikTok, and 3 million on Twitter.

DANIEL DOVER: BRINGING CHARACTERS TO LIFE

From fine art to animation, and everything that’s in between, Daniel Dover builds upon his vast array of technical skills to manifest his creativity in different and exciting mediums. He has marked his path from Tel Aviv, through Europe, and to his current home in New York, with one prestigious project after another. It’s astounding to see the versatility with which Dover expresses his eclectic styles – and no matter what form his work may take, it’s sure to be an utter game changer.

Dover has never been afraid of charging headfirst into new and challenging mediums in order to produce his wild ideas. When asked about his broad spectrum of artistic forms, Daniel cites necessity as a common motivator. “When I find a good idea or story I want to bring to life, I’ll try my hardest to first find the best medium or format in which to present it most comprehensively.”

During the limbo of the pandemic lockdowns, Dover accomplished yet another impressive feat: creating and producing his own animated cartoon series, titled ‘Bernard & Ralph – and The Beach-House Gang’. The series, which was published under the pen name ‘Ginz-Burg,’ revolves around a group of highly dysfunctional animals, all living together in a communal halfway house in New York City. Each character in the group represents a different mental or social disorder, or at times even a few together. The show explores the ramifications of these animals’ respective mental states, how it affects them both personally and in their interactions with others. Even though the cartoon examines a broad range of sensitive and difficult issues, including social isolation, depression, and anxiety, the personal and humorous qualities of the story allow for a more comfortable space in which to deal with these subjects.

Dover is continuing to produce ‘Bernard & Ralph – and The Beach-House Gang’ as a series of cartoon shorts, as well as actively working towards opportunities to turn it into a longer-form show. Dover is also developing several other cartoon show concepts, while also continuing to communicate with studios, as he’s always itching to bring his innovative arsenal of characters to life on a variety of platforms.

Daniel Dover illustration inside 360 MAGAZINE

Daniel Dover’s current work in animation is a direct extension of the attitudes he embodied when he started his artistic career. In 2007, his street art series of gas-masked characters began to surface around Tel Aviv. Within the next two years, he became identified with a wide range of urban interventions, and his street art images grew increasingly diverse. One such artistic undertaking was his conception and painting of the animated escalators inside the entrance of Tel Aviv’s City Hall. Dover’s playful piece hit the internet and immediately went viral, and has also remained in commission to this day.

After moving to New York, Dover shifted his focus to animation projects, while still exhibiting his artwork in many various forms, with shows in Tel-Aviv, around Europe, and New York City. No matter the place, format, or subject, everything adds up to one prolific artist, willing to go the distance and do what it takes to bring his artwork to the forefront of his field. Whether it’s using spray paint, ink, ready-made sculpture, or other media, Daniel Dover is a master of creating a visually sharp statement that projects a fragile truth about complex human and social systems. His work has been reviewed in many prestigious publications; Huffington Post, The LA Times, European Pressphoto Agency, The Guardian, and many more.

There is an unmistakable ardor in Dover’s voice when he speaks of his current and upcoming creative ventures, and there’s no telling where this unconventional artist and animator will show up next. Whether in a gallery exhibition, our TV screens or the pavement beneath our feet, Daniel Dover surprises each time with new and innovative ways to present his art. His work has amassed a devout following that’s itching to see more of him, and soon. Regardless of location, medium or narrative, I for one am eager to see what this eccentric artist has in store for us.

Fifteen Best Practices For Creating Perfect Checklists

Creating a perfect checklist is an art form. It takes time, patience, and practice to get it just right. But with the right tools and techniques, you can create checklists that are accurate, efficient, and helpful. Here are 13 best practices for creating perfect checklists.

1. Keep it simple.

The simpler the design, the easier it is to complete each item on your list. Similarly, if you can reuse or recycle your checklist, that’s even better! Checklists are most effective when items are clearly defined and easy to understand. If you’re having trouble making your list straightforward enough, consider adding images, icons, or symbols to help guide your team.

2. Be clear and precise.

Don’t rely on assumptions when creating your checklist items. It’s better to be overly specific than not specific enough—you can always adjust the item later if it turns out you’re asking too much of the team member. And don’t forget to include an “other” option if your item isn’t listed!

3. Consider the team member’s perspective.

You don’t necessarily need to know what you’re doing before you begin a task or project, but for most people, it helps. Try asking yourself: “What questions do I need to be answered?” and “What information does my team member need from me?” Make sure to include these answers on the checklist so your team member can easily complete the task.

4. Stick to one topic.

When you’re creating a new list, consider what exactly you’d like it to accomplish. Stick with that same topic when adding items, and avoid switching back and forth unless absolutely necessary (i.e., if you’re creating a list that will be used across different projects).

5. Add an “In progress” column.

Once you’ve started your checklist, it’s easy for team members to forget which task they’re working on. Add a new column and mark each item as “In progress” or “Complete.” That way, you can easily tell which tasks are finished and which ones still need attention.

6. Show subtasks in priority order.

If you have several items for your team member to complete, group them in the same list so they’re easier to find—you can also add a number or letter system, if necessary. For example, when creating checklists for sales calls, list subtasks in order of priority so your team member knows at a glance which tasks are the most important.

7. Keep track of tasks.

If you’re using a checklist app, consider using the “Notes” feature to keep track of conversations or other information related to each task. It’s easy for the right information to get buried within your list items, so be sure to separate it into its own note if necessary.

8. Give them feedback.

If you’re using a checklist app, allow for comments on each task (some of our customers find that setting up tasks with checklists is like creating an agenda). This way, your team member can determine if they need more information before completing the task.

9. Encourage your team members to suggest items.

If they’re not sure what you want them to do, ask your team members if they have any pre-work suggestions for completing a task or project. They might think of ways you haven’t considered—and it lets them know you’re open to their ideas!

10. Limit the number of items.

You don’t want your list to be too long, or else team members will get overwhelmed and won’t use it. The best checklists are the ones your team members will actually use—so make sure you review them before sharing with a colleague!

11. Allow for flexibility.

Not every checklist should be a rigid framework. If you want to provide some guidance but also give your team members the freedom to complete tasks as they see fit, include a few blank lines or small boxes where they can add comments.

12. Plan for emergencies.

No matter how thorough your checklist is, something might go wrong. That’s why it’s important to include space for team members to leave notes about unforeseen events. Just make sure you ask them not to write entire paragraphs—you want the checklist template to be easy to reference, if necessary!

13. Plan for contingencies.

Once your checklist is in use, you’ll also find yourself updating it regularly based on lessons learned. Keep some notes about why you added any particular item to your list—that way, you can make sure the same problem doesn’t come up again.

14. Choose a template that works for you.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of creating your own checklist templates, try using one of our templates instead! We offer templates for all sorts of situations, so you can find one that fits your needs—and if you don’t see exactly what you need, feel free to contact us about customizing a checklist for your team members.

15. Don’t forget the “why” behind the task.

Checklists are most useful when everyone on your team understands why they’re being used in the first place. So, make sure your team members aren’t just looking at the list—you also want them to read over the instructions you’ve written. That way, they’ll know why each item is on the list and be more likely to use it in their day-to-day work.

One great tip when making checklists is to use Venngage — an online checklist maker and free infographic maker that offers many different checklists templates for everyone. From daily checklists to groceries, Venngage has it all. Here are some checklist examples from their website!

While checklists are most frequently used in the business world, they can also be helpful tools for your everyday life. Using a checklist template to organize your thoughts or run through a mental inventory before heading out the door is an easy way to ensure you don’t forget anything important—and that’s just one example.

It’s true that checklists aren’t for everyone—and that’s fine. But if you’re looking to streamline your work or find an easy way to keep track of important tasks, a checklist template from Venngage is definitely worth exploring. To start, click here

Five Interesting Current Developments in AI

Technology has come a long way since developers created the first computer algorithm. You may have once dreamed of the day your car could drive itself or robots could accurately diagnose diseases, but those ideas are starting to become a reality. Artificial intelligence (AI) is giving humans more ways to stay safe, healthy and happy than ever before.

These advances are still relatively new, and different ways of using AI are still coming about. Living in the age of technology is about to get a lot more exciting. Here are five current developments in AI you may be seeing around you.

1. Translating

As you well know, not everyone on the planet speaks the same language. Many people try to cram in a few sentences of Italian or Portuguese before they travel so they can read menus or ask where the bathroom is. However, artificial intelligence could make this process easier.

Google began talking about the Google Lens in 2017, but its current place in cellphones has been incredibly beneficial for those learning a language. Holding your device up to something written in a foreign language allows the AI in the camera to translate it without needing to switch to another app. The company also has a real-time translation feature so you can still communicate with another person while artificial intelligence does the heavy lifting.

Think of the times you’ve seen a social media post in a different language, hit the Translate button and got a block of text that barely explained what the poster meant. Facebook’s parent company Meta is hoping to change that with its M2M-100 model, which it trained with millions of sentence structures to create more precise translations.

2. Helping the Environment

With the high rates of invasive species, poaching and climate change, the Earth could use more help than humans can offer. Luckily, artificial intelligence is giving scientists and conservationists an upper hand in this fight.

Many research institutes are creating AI models to scan for and locate invasive species harming local ecosystems. Some even add drones to the mix so they can take hundreds of large images at once and have the algorithm analyze them.

One algorithm called PAWS — or Protection Assistant for Wildlife Security — has been helping conservationists in Uganda and Cambodia stop poachers from hunting endangered species. PAWS is the creation of Harvard student Lily Xu and professor Milind Tambe. It aims to find where poachers might place traps and tell park rangers where they should make their rounds.

Artificial intelligence could also help scientists test different ways to help the planet. A digital twin of the Earth shows how different scenarios will affect it. Creating a model like this could help researchers discover the most effective steps to fight global warming.

3. Assisting Health Care Providers

Physicians have much to do in high-stress positions, as the COVID-19 pandemic showed. They are responsible for making quick decisions that often need to be lifesaving. Instead of solely relying on quick thinking and their own best judgment, they could start using AI to help make choices.

Artificial intelligence is helping doctors make diagnoses, research medications and train new staff with simulations. Could you imagine technology being able to tell you if you’re at an elevated risk of a health episode? As wearable technology becomes more advanced, it could warn you when you’re in danger of cancer or a heart attack.

Additionally, AI models can help speed up the paperwork process in health care. This is a less hands-on development, but it does allow physicians to focus more of their time on patients instead of menial jobs. Dedicating technology to these low-skill tasks can help all hospital and office staff do more intelligent work.

4. Driving Cars

Self-driving cars are no longer something you’d only see in the movies. Many companies are still working on rolling these vehicles out, but it could be just a matter of years before automated vehicles are the new normal.

This technology works the same way you would drive a car — by making judgments based on what it sees. The artificial intelligence in self-driving vehicles doesn’t technically have eyes, but they do rely on image recognition to “view” roads, stop signs and potential obstacles.

Current AI-powered cars operate at a lower level of automation. They have sensors to detect their surroundings and make decisions — like speeding up past a slower vehicle — but the driver still needs to be ready to take control. Most self-driving cars now are Level 2 or 3 on the autonomous driving scale.

However, developments are heading toward Level 4. This means you won’t really have to pay attention to what the car is doing, but you might want to just in case. The ultimate goal is Level 5, where passengers could sleep or watch a movie during their drive and have the AI do all the decision-making.

5. Creating Entertainment

It may sound a bit odd, but mixing artificial intelligence and art is a fascinating merge of technology and creativity. It could help make the next best video game, become an artist or even achieve celebrity status.

Right now, game developers use AI to give a bit more life to non-playable characters (NPCs). The model controls how the NPCs act based on a few prescripted choices and decides between them based on a situation. However, major studios are now looking at ways to get the NPCs to react in real-time to your decisions. They could even begin to learn your behaviors and go entirely unscripted, choosing how to respond on their own.

DALL-E is one art bot that’s been going viral on social media. All you need to do is give it an idea and it can generate images for you. Some of the art can look quite scary — it hasn’t quite grasped how to make faces yet — but it’s still an impressive algorithm. In the future, perhaps there will be artists who train AI based on their style.

One of the most interesting developments has been AI influencers. There are several fully automated social media personalities, some of which have thousands of followers. Many brands have found they are excellent marketing opportunities — Lil Miquela has worked with famous brands like Vogue and UGGs. You might not see them replace humans as celebrities, but they could become musicians or actors as the algorithms develop.
