Ariana Grande × The Voice

Multi-platinum global recording artist, Grammy Award winner, and talented actress Ariana Grande will join the upcoming Fall 2021 cycle of NBC’s “The Voice” as a coach.

Grande, a powerhouse vocalist whose international fan base of “Arianators” has enabled her to rapidly become one of the biggest pop superstars of our generation, will be joined by returning iconic coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, along with host Carson Daly, on the four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series.

With her most recent album, “Positions,” recently breaking the record for most songs to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cementing her as Spotify’s most-streamed female artist of the past decade, Grande, a self-proclaimed fan of “The Voice,” claims a red chair at a pivotal point in her career.

“As an undeniable force in pop music, Ariana’s inimitable success in the music industry is extraordinary,” said Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “We were thrilled to learn that she is a true fan of ‘The Voice’ and know that this enthusiasm will add to her impact as a dynamic coach. Ariana is a visionary with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Her unmatched vocal skills, creativity, and unique expertise on all facets of the industry will make her an invaluable coach to the next generation of artists.”

Said Grande, “I’m so honored and excited to join ‘The Voice’ family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next level.”

A Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and international superstar, Ariana Grande was the first artist to hold the top three Billboard Hot 100 spots since the Beatles in 1964 with “7 Rings,” “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” and “Thank U, Next.” In 2020, she became the first and only artist to have five singles debuts at #1 in the chart’s history. At age 27, she has delivered five platinum-selling albums and surpassed 35 billion streams – she’s Spotify’s most-streamed female artist of the past decade – while rapidly becoming one of the biggest pop stars of our generation with her powerhouse vocals and unmatched presence both on stage and with her fans. She recently won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Rain on Me” with Lady Gaga.

The Battle Rounds for Season 20 of “The Voice,” with current coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, continue Monday, April 5 and April 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

For the 2020-21 season-to-date, “The Voice” is the #1 alternative series among total viewers. The show has ranked among the top 5 most-watched alternative series for each of its 11 broadcast seasons on the air.

Season 20 marks the 10-year anniversary of “The Voice.”

“The Voice” is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon, and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, and Adam H. Sher.

Noah Cyrus × Ant Clemons

Noah Cyrus and Ant Clemons drop visualizer for “Wonder Years” following the release of “The End of Everything” EP

Following the release of her acclaimed EP “The End Of Everything” in May, multi-platinum artist Noah Cyrus releases another visual for her Ant Clemons collaboration for “Wonder Years.”

“We were working together one night and he pulled up this melody he’d been working on that was an interpolation of ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ by The Beatles and I was like ‘WOAH, shit.’” Noah reveals. “I went in the booth and hummed some melodies of my own, and then we just worked on the lyrics, production, structure, etc. It’s funny because I don’t think we ever knew how this song would even come out. Like, who gets a Beatles record cleared? Us I guess.”

Peter Manos Debut EP

Peter Manos’ debut EP – Do You Turn Red? – will be released by Capitol Records on June 10. The set will include his new single, “Tennessee,” and five other tracks he recently recorded in his L.A. home studio, plus Manos’ 2017 debut single, “In My Head.” View the trailer for Do You Turn Red? HERE. See below for track listing. Fans who pre-order the digital EP will instantly receive “Tennessee.” Do You Turn Red? is also available for pre-order in CD, cassette and opaque blue vinyl editions. The New York Times said, “Peter Manos is from Texas, but ‘Tennessee’ is no country song. It’s an electronic lament, Auto-Tuned and steeped in James Blake and Frank Ocean; it also hints at the Beatles’ chromatic chord progressions…even as programmed arpeggios swell to support him, he’s left uncomprehending and alone, pure male angst.” Idolator observed, “this is the kind of song that casts an uneasy spell on the listener – commanding a spot on any respectable late-night playlist.” Variance praised the “tender yet moody cut.”

Released earlier this month, “Tennessee” has already amassed nearly one million combined streams. View Do You Turn Red? is both a guidepost pointing toward what may come and a snapshot of this moment. Here is Manos at the front of his career, full of ideas, and all of them tangibly intimate. Despite joining Capitol in 2019, and relocating from the outskirts of Dallas to the heart of Los Angeles, Manos still makes music in a vacuum of sorts. He works almost exclusively solo out of his downtown apartment, in a bedroom-turned- recording-den. Manos has a knack for carving out his own space within something familiar, as these songs make clear. His taste dovetails perfectly with his skills as a one-stop shop singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and producer. There’s the slyly sexy groove topped by his delicate falsetto on “You Don’t Know Me.” There’s the hypnotic cascade of guitar and odd samples that underpin “Zach’s Ballad.” And the way that “At Night” starts as a solitary psych-soul excursion but ends in a hail of live drums and ghostly oohs. “Do You Turn Red?” arrives after five songs of blue mood like a sudden rush of blood. It plays like a confession and feels as raw. Taken with his lyrics – equal parts diaristic share and poetic scrawl – it all feels deeply personal. “If it feels like looking in on something private, it is,” says Manos. “Growing up, no one knew I was playing music. I did sports, went to parties, and had great friends, but it was a secret.”

Manos wound up at Nashville’s Belmont University with the goal of studying music until music allowed him to drop out. That happened during his second year, when over a couple days in the moments between classes and coursework, Manos made “In My Head” in his dorm room – the same fully realized version that appears on Do You Turn Red? A buddy who helped him record warned him, “Remember, people’s first songs don’t usually do anything.” Yet “In My Head” found its way onto numerous playlists, from Spotify’s Pop Rising all the way to Today’s Top Hits.

Combined global streams of the track now top 300 million. Hailing “In My Head” as a “Song You Need to Know,” Rolling Stone observed, “In aworld largely ruled by speedy trap tempos, ‘In My Head’ proves that ballads can still surprise.” Ones To Watch praised “You Don’t Know Me,” one of Manos’ follow-up tracks, as “truly breathtaking.” Manos produced the EP’s six new tracks with Sam Ricci (SZA, Kendrick Lamar). Do You Turn Red? was mixed by Jeff Ellis (Frank Ocean) and mastered by Dale Becker (Khalid). “There’s a lot of emotion and thought in these songs,” says Manos. “I’m completely obsessive about making music and getting it right — having every piece sound exactly the way I want it.”
