MIKE BAHÍA LAUNCHES HIS NEW DOCUMENTARY

A deep dive into the roots and soul of Cali, marking the beginning of a new musical era

Mike Bahía, one of the most influential artists in Latin music, presents his new documentary. This emotional cinematic work is a deep exploration of his roots in the vibrant city of Cali and an internal journey that leads him to rediscover his essence and connection with his homeland.

The documentary is an intimate journey that narrates Mike Bahía‘s reconnection with his origins. In his own words: “These have been very beautiful days but also very lonely here in the city… a time for reflection, realizing that this journey is not just a musical one, that I came to face my past… to meet with my friends, with my family.” These words, expressed in one of the scenes of the documentary, reflect Mike’s introspective and emotional tone as he confronts his memories and experiences, offering the viewer a sincere and authentic look into his inner world.

Directed by Más Juan and Iván Vernaza and produced by La Ruta Studio, the documentary captures the vibrant essence of Cali, showcasing its unique colors, sounds, and rhythms. Through evocative images and sincere testimonies, the documentary takes the audience on a tour of the city’s most significant places, while Mike Bahía shares personal anecdotes and moments of introspection that reveal the deepest layers of his identity.

Urus S at Esperienza Avventura

On board of the Super SUV discovering authentic Norwegian landscapes, culture, and cuisine

The Lamborghini Esperienza Avventura Norway, created for small, exclusive groups of Lamborghini owners and guests, delivered an exceptional itinerary of Norwegian scenery, hospitality and experiences during July 2024.

The entourage of Lamborghini S Super SUVs, ensuring an exciting on and off-road dynamic experience through Norway’s fabled fjordlands, started from Trondheim, dubbed the ‘culinary capital of Norway’. Guests arrived for the first night at the five-star Hotel Britannia on the shores of Trondheim Fjord, where a welcome dinner in the hotel’s restaurant Jonathan gave an introduction to modern Norwegian cuisine, in an area named the European Region of Gastronomy in 2022.

The Route has seen the entourage heading through lakes and mountains to Oppdal, Norway’s largest ski area, with a coffee stop before lunching at Phillipshaugen Lodge at the foot of the Oksendal mountains. Tackling a range of winding tarmac roads and more demanding stony tracks, the group journeyed onwards to Angvik, on the shores of a crystal-waters fjord famed for its salmon, before heading to the Håholmen hotel on the Atlantic Road. Guests were transferred to Håholmen island by powerboat – a traditional fishing village – staying overnight in buildings dating back to the 1700s: a piece of living coastal history.  

Departing from Angvik, the Super SUV took guests to the shoreside for a spectacular RIB powerboat experience along Norway’s coastline. Once back on the road, the convoy headed to the mountains of Eggen with breathtaking views of lakes and mountains for lunch in an observatory overhanging the valley. An adventure both on tarmac and away from conventional roads followed, showcasing the Urus S’* multiple personas, combining an exceptionally comfortable ride for pilot and passengers and delighting with their outstanding capabilities on difficult and stony tracks.  After a day’s adventure on land and sea the convoy arrived in Hotel Brosundet, Ålesund; a modern conversion of a warehouse in the fishpacking district combining history with urban luxury, and a dinner in the elegant Sjobua seafood restaurant.

Esperienza Avventura’s convoy drove to the traditional timber-style luxury Storfjord Hotel in the hills above Ålesund, for a farewell to the spectacular scenery of Norway’s ‘Golden Route’.

SAY HER NAME: SONYA MASSEY

According to NBC News, ‘Black people, who account for 13 percent of the U.S. population, accounted for 27 percent of those fatally shot and killed by police in 2021, according to Mapping Police Violence, a nonprofit group that tracks police shootings. That means Black people are twice as likely as white people to be shot and killed by police officers.’

Activists and community members gathered in 34 cities nationwide to protest Sonya Massey‘s killing. The social justice organization Until Freedom organized a rally at New York’s Washington Square Park today to mark a day of mourning to raise awareness for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.

Co-founders: Linda Sarsour and Tamika D. Mallory and Mysonne Linen, among others, spoke passionately against police brutality, describing the current climate as an ‘open season’ on Black people. They urged everyone to unite and voice their opinions in the upcoming election on November 5th.

The promise of police immunity by former President Trump and the ongoing Project 2025 policy initiatives are viewed as being part of a broader issue. After all, the murder of Sonya Massey occurred days after Kamala Harris was announced as the first Black female presidential candidate.

MARVEL REVEALS PSYLOCKE SOLO COMIC AT SDCC

MARVEL ANNOUNCES NEW PSYLOCKE SOLO COMIC SERIES AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

Set in the X-Men’s new era, Alyssa Wong and Vincenzo Carratù’s PSYLOCKE begins this November.

Just now at the Marvel Comics: X-Men: From the Ashes Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, and a host of X-Men creators gave fans the scoop on what’s to come in the exciting new era of X-Men comics storytelling, including the reveal of all-new solo ongoing series—PSYLOCKE! Launching in November, PSYLOCKE will be written by Alyssa Wong, known for their acclaimed work on Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and Deadpool, and drawn by rising star Vincenzo Carratù, the artist currently delivering explosive vampire slaying action in Dracula: Blood Hunt.

PSYLOCKE will tie into the character’s current status quo established in Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-Men #1 where she lends her deadly expertise to Cyclops’ team of X-Men operating out of Alaska. However, there are missions that aren’t suitable for the X-Men and require Psylocke to embrace the teachings of her dark past!

After taking on the mantle of Psylocke, Kwannon became one of Krakoa’s breakout stars in titles like Hellions and Uncanny Avengers. Now, the telepathic and telekinetic ninja goes solo! Her upcoming adventures feature appearances by her lover Greycrow, shed light on her brutal upbringing with the Hand, and introduce a twisted super villain called the Taxonomist!

Hellen Obiri and Sinta Vissa Team Up in “The Heart to Race.”

On‘s ‘Dream Together’ short film series continues with a thrilling second episode of speed, spirit, and an unusual friendship.

As the world gears up for the Olympics in Paris, On is excited to release “The Heart to Race,” the second episode of its ‘Dream Together’ short film series. The film delves into the inspiring bond between On Athletics Club athletes Hellen Obiri from Kenya and Italian Sinta Vissa, highlighting the profound impact of their camaraderie on their athletic journeys.

When Kenyan superstar Hellen Obiri and Sinta Vissa, a young Italian runner with Ethiopian roots, met at the On Athletics Club in Boulder in 2022, it marked the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Obiri had newly arrived in the USA and was without her husband and daughter Tanya for the first months of her time with the On Athletics Club. Vissa had just transitioned from college running to the professional team.

“We just kind of clicked”, Vissa remembers. “We were cooking together, playing some Kenyan music. Everyone sees her as this big G.O.A.T., but she is very funny. Silly faces, that’s her to me. She’s an idol, but she is also a teammate and friend. I can’t keep up with her, but she does give me that push,” she laughs.

“Even though Sinta is young, she brings something that can help me in my running. I told her, ‘Your parents are far away, so I will be your parent here.’ I see her as my little girl, and we have respect for each other,” Obiri adds.

”The Heart to Race” centers around their bond, which clearly transcends a typical mentor-mentee relationship and showcases the powerful and transformative nature of genuine support and shared experiences.

It chronicles both Vissa and Obiri going through crushing defeats, like the 34-year-old’s first attempt at the marathon distance, which did not end in victory but in a wheelchair. Both persevere, and Vissa watches her friend and idol bounce back from a difficult start to her marathon career to storm to triumphant victories. With the Paris Olympics as their shared goal, Hellen Obiri and Sinta Vissa inspire the world of athletics by emphasizing that dreams become reality when pursued together.

Directed by acclaimed director J.M. Harper, the film features passages in English, Italian, and Gusii.

MILLENNIUM PARADE + M4D LUV

Today, Tokyo’s premier creative collective MILLENNIUM PARADE is pleased to share the release of their new single “M4D LUV.” Stream the song HERE.

The electrifying song was produced by MILLENNIUM PARADE leader Daiki Tsuneta and written by Tsuneta and Believve (Tyla’s “Water,” P1Harmony). Hedonistic and immersive in sound, the house-inspired song speaks of finding bliss in the apocalyptic. The accompanying music video, out now, was directed by MILLENNIUM PARADE Art Director Cota Mori and Creative Director Shu Sasaki. The psychedelic clip prominently features the MILLENNIUM PARADE character Oni-Angel, an AI pet that performs Para-Para style choreography throughout, which is a Japanese dance often associated with clubbing and raving. First introduced as an easter egg in the “GOLDENWEEK” music video earlier this spring, Oni-Angel is one of the many characters fans will discover throughout their journey into MILLENNIUM PARADE’s Kong Tong Tokyo – a futuristic vision of Tokyo in New Nippon that captures the beautiful collision of chaotic cultures, creating enrapturing pieces of art on the world’s stage. They are led by Tokyo-based producer/songwriter Daiki Tsuneta, who also fronts one of Japan’s biggest bands King Gnu. The group’s vision strives to present Tokyo’s new values to the rest of the world. Emerging in 2019 with single “Veil,”their innovative launch party utilized 3D technology and live shows which rapidly sold out. In 2020, their single “Fly With Me”was the main theme song for Japanese animation “Ghost In The Shell” which was remixed by acclaimed DJ & producer Steve Aoki. Daiki’s prowess has helped MILLENNIUM PARADE work with some of the biggest names in J-pop, including heavyweights such as Sheena Ringo and Chara.  Furthermore, the group have been presented with unique opportunities such as composing the theme song for director Mamoru Hosada’s acclaimed 2021 film Belle, which emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
