TWENTY ØNE PILØTS SHARE NEW SONG “LEVEL OF CONCERN”

OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO STREAMING NOW

TWENTY ØNE PILØTS – “LEVEL OF CONCERN”

Twenty One Pilots have shared “Level of Concern,” a brand-new song written and recorded amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The song, which encourages hope during difficult times, is available today on all streaming platforms and joined by an official music video directed by longtime collaborator Reel Bear Media.

The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun will donate a portion of the proceeds from “Level of Concern” to Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music crews, which aims to help touring and venue crews affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Twenty One Pilots’ frontman Tyler Joseph revealed to fans on Twitter recently that he had been working on new music while in self-isolation expressing, “always writing, but this one feels like it should just come out now.” Joseph added, “I think it’s simple but hopeful,” noting that it’s the first song he has ever written on electric guitar.

“Level of Concern” is the first new music from Twenty One Pilots since the release of their acclaimed 2018 LP TRENCH. “TRENCH revels in the confounding genre-blurring and cavernous conceptualism that has defined Twenty One Pilots,” declared Billboard. Upon release Trench made a massive global impact with the RIAA gold certified collection earning the GRAMMY® Award winning duo their biggest sales week ever in the U.S., with 175,000 units sold in its first week. A true global phenomenon having surpassed two billion streams worldwide, TRENCH earned Twenty One Pilots Top 5 chart debuts around the globe including the U.S., U.K., Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, and The Netherlands.

TRENCH is highlighted by the #1 Alternative singles “The Hype,” “Chlorine,” and “Jumpsuit,” the latter of which became the decade’s fastest rising song to reach #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart, and also earned the duo their fourth GRAMMY® nomination (Best Rock Song). TRENCH also features album standouts “Nico And The Niners,” “Levitate,” and “My Blood.”

Last year Twenty One Pilots’ announced that their 2013 LP VESSEL achieved a Gold & Platinum milestone with every individual track from the album receiving Gold, Platinum or Multi-Platinum certification from the RIAA. Twenty One Pilots’ 2015 LP BLURRYFACE was the first album of the digital era to achieve this feat back in 2018, making the duo from Columbus, OH the first artist / group with two albums to reach this landmark achievement.

Pets, Comfort, and COVID-19

New Survey Shows Pets Are Source of Comfort During COVID-19 Stay-at-Home Orders but Concerns of Pet Infection on The Rise

More than 1,000 pet owners shared their concerns, habits, and reactions to sheltering in place with pets; 22% say pets have made an appearance on a video call with co-workers.

Pet care technology company VitusVet today shared results from a survey of more than 1,000 pet owners about experiences with their pet during the COVID-19 outbreak. The majority of pet owners said that pets provided a source of comfort during uncertain times, with many mentioning increased activity and social media appearances.

Questions dealt with three primary themes, including interactions with pets during the pandemic, concerns about COVID-19 and pets, and veterinary care-related topics. Results can be found at vitusvet.com/pets-and-covid.

Key findings include:

Pet Interactions
Fifty two percent (52%) said that they are feeling more loved or comforted than usual by their pet;

Exercise was a popular theme with 53% noting more playtime at home and 39% saying they took more frequent dog walks;

Pets also seem to be popular on social media with 36% taking many more photos or videos of pets and 22% revealing that their pets make regular appearances in video calls with co-workers.

COVID-19 Concerns
Thirty three percent (33%) are not at all concerned about COVID-19 affecting their pets, with 58% expressing some concern;

Twenty one percent (21%) asked whether their dogs can play with other dogs as long as owners practice safe social distance;

Forty six percent (46%) asked if coronavirus sticks to pet hair or fur;

Many respondents that completed the survey after news broke of the Bronx Zoo tiger that became infected added write-in comments asking about the danger to their own pets.

Veterinary Services and Pet Care
Pet care is still a reality, with 19% reporting they conducted a well check during the outbreak and 6% seeking emergency care;

Owners are prepared with 82% saying they have a copy of pet records, although 69% of owners do not have a pet first aid kit at home.

“It’s obvious that now more than ever, that pets can serve as a valuable source of connection and comfort for their human companions,” said VitusVet CEO Mark Olcott, DVM. “It’s also particularly heartwarming to have more than 900 of the respondents leave a ‘thank you’ note for their vet in the comments section of the survey.”

Praise for Oliver Malcolm & “Switched Up”

“A sleek hybrid of rap and R&B” — FADER

“The drums lurch toward the offbeats, some looped guitar picking tugs against that pulse and Malcolm’s voice is a rattled, quavery moan…Everything stays off-kilter for the two and a half paranoid minutes of “Switched Off” by Oliver Malcolm” — New York Times, Playlist

“Oliver Malcolm’s ‘Switched Up’ Is Intoxicating… new single ‘Switched Up’ is a mesh of influences, a confluence of sounds, a mosaic of techniques.” — CLASH

About Oliver Malcolm

Oliver Malcolm got his start early, teaching himself how to spin records at 12 years old. Shortly after, he downloaded Logic and taught himself how to produce – working with IDK, Aluna George, Joey Bada$$, Jay Rock, Masego Tinashe and more. Now twenty, Oliver has developed his own voice. Touching everything from the production, vocals, songwriting, engineering, mixing and mastering,  Oliver’s sound is unique and does not fit the mold of one genre. Neon Museum × Tim Burton

NEON MUSEUM HOSTS LIVE VIRTUAL TOUR OF LOST VEGAS: TIM BURTON @ THE NEON MUSEUM, FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 1 P.M.

The Neon Museum announces it will host a first-ever Facebook Live tour of Lost Vegas: Tim Burton @The Neon Museum presented by The Engelstad Foundation on Friday, April 10, at 1 p.m. PDT. The tour, conducted by Education Specialist Mitch Cohen, will offer people from around the world the chance to experience the renowned artist, filmmaker and director’s original artwork and installations created especially for The Neon Museum.

“The exhibition was scheduled to continue through Sunday, April 12, but with the museum’s temporary closure due to COVID-19, we know thousands of art lovers will miss their chance to see Burton’s outstanding exhibition,” explained Rob McCoy, president and chief executive officer, The Neon Museum. “This live, virtual tour will take place especially for them—and will be enjoyable for anyone who appreciates Burton’s work and iconic Las Vegas sign design.”

Lost Vegas: Tim Burton @ The Neon Museum comprises sculptural and digital installations celebrating Burton’s links to Las Vegas and its historical neon heritage. These artworks, many of which are site-specific creations, will be displayed in the Neon Boneyard and incorporated into Brilliant!, the museum’s permanent projection mapping North Gallery installation. Works play with the museum’s landmark sign collection, which was prominently featured in Burton’s 1996 film Mars Attacks! This irreverent homage to the sci-fi B-movies of the 1950s and 1960s and the disaster films of the 1970s unleashed gleefully destructive alien invaders upon gamblers, casino workers and Tom Jones. The presentation of Burton’s art in Las Vegas represents a unique experience where the host institution also serves as creative inspiration. The museum’s distinctive campus will be transformed through the artist’s singular vision for this original exhibition of new work as well as previously exhibited pieces.
