Big Boss Vette – Eater

BIG BOSS VETTE DROPS NEW SINGLE EATER TODAY

ANNOUNCES DEAL WITH REPUBLIC RECORDS

After making waves with millions of streams independently and attracting a rabid audience on social media, St. Louis rapper and singer Big Boss Vette unveils a brand new single entitled Eater today. It marks her first release for Republic Records.

Listen to EaterHERE.

On the track, a hyped-up New Orleans bounce-inspired beat rages underneath her confident and charismatic delivery. She rips through one raunchy, raw, and raucous NSFW bar after another without apology. She previewed the track with snippets on social media, generating tens of thousands of listens and inciting anticipation for its arrival.

Regarding Eater, she said, It’s vulgar. It’s basically about a woman taking somebody else’s man and turning him into her hoe. I love bounce music, and I wanted to put a St. Louis twist on it. It’s for the club heads and the twerkers. We made magic.

No stranger to making bangers, Vette put numbers on the boards with independent tracks such as Bad Bitch, Outside, No Fakin, Make Em Mad, and more. This year, she caught the attention of Republic Records and signed to the label.

Now, she’s got even more heat on deck. You’ve been warned. There’s a new boss in town.

About Big Boss Vette

Big Boss Vette asserts herself as a bright, blunt, and bold force for hip-hop with unapologetic bars, undeniable style, and a fiery flow of her own. The St. Louis rapper and singer lights up any room and instantly commands attention. As a kid, Big Boss Vette told everyone, I want to be a rapper, and she made good on her promise. Taking to social media, she posted freestyles on Facebook during high school, remixing the likes of Dej Loaf’s Try Me and making a viral impact with millions of views. She regularly uploaded remixes to YouTube and attracted an audience. However, trouble followed her everywhere—until she got shot. Changing the course of her life, she served up Bad Bitch in 2019 and racked up 1.7 million YouTube views. A year later, Outside exploded. Following a much-liked teaser video, her TikTok followers demanded the full version, and she delivered. It lit up TikTok with countless anime creations and support from Chlöe Bailey. At the same time, it generated 8 million Spotify streams and 2 million YouTube views. During 2021, she picked up the pace with No Fakin, Dog Ass *****, and more. Along the way, she attracted the attention of Republic Records and landed a deal with the label. After raking in over 30 million total streams independently, she bosses up on a series of singles led by Eater.

These White Walls at Nordelaia

Nordelaia – a new masterpiece by the award-winning design studio These White Walls

A marriage between rustic and luxe deep in the heart of Piedmont

Independent boutique hotel Nordelaia, situated in the UNESCO world heritage site of Montferrat, showcases design spearheaded by These White Walls. The 12 room estate, set in an 800-year-old farmhouse, was respectfully reinvented by British design studio These White Walls – best known for the multi-award-winning interiors of HIDE restaurant in Mayfair, London.

Our design for Nordelaia is centred around wellbeing and escapism; the aim being to create a holistic and nurturing environment in which guests can relax, switch off and connect – not only with each other – but also with the stunning landscape that surrounds them”, – says Rose Murray, Founder of These White Walls. We define this design as ‘rustic-luxe’, where rest and reconnection with nature go hand-in-hand with cultivated indulgence. Designers decided to maintain most of the old building’s original rustic appearance, trying to maintain a balance between rich cultural history and modern luxury. This union between the old and the new, the rustic and the lux, is what sets this project apart and makes it feel truly special – Rose notes.

These White Walls have carefully planned the concept of the rooms, embodying the philosophy of freedom in it. Some bedrooms have two wardrobes and two workspaces, symmetrically positioned opposite each other, as a reminder that we are all independent individuals connected by a common experience. The idea of solitude and reconnection with nature continues with the absence of TVs – thus Nordelaia invites guests to enjoy the digital detox that is so necessary in the modern world.

Following the aim to save connection with the authentic look of the estate and its history, designers chose textures and materials for the rooms that are in harmony with the unique atmosphere of the place. Surrounded by ornamental green spaces that extend from the guests’ own terraces, the ground floor Garden rooms feature textured materials, including rustic woods, natural stone burnished metals, and wrought iron. These sit in contrast to the Legacy rooms on the second floor that feature a more dramatic feel with luxurious materials such as velvet and brass. Tucked away at the top of the building are the cozy and wonderfully private Attico rooms. Much of the furniture is bespoke, created by local artisans with some key pieces and fittings from notable Italian designers.

The design of the restaurants is also inspired by their surroundings: the ground floor reflects bonds between earth and nature, revealed in deep shades of green and a palette reminiscent of soil and roots. In contrast, the first-floor restaurant is a reference to a blooming garden, embodied in shades of pink and peach.

Every element of the hotel’s design is crafted with thoughtful attention and symbolism. The kitchen counter is decorated with laser-cut brass detailed with the image of a dandelion blowing seeds into the wind. Designers also decided to add laser-cut insects to the light fitting as a reference to the emergence and spread of new ideas into the world. Such a concept echoes Nordelaia’s dining concept: Michelin starred chef Andrea Ribaldone and the resident chef Charles Pearce aim to respect local culinary traditions while simultaneously pushing boundaries and inviting guests to a gastronomic journey with brave experiments.

Nordelaia sees in nature not only inspiration but also a healing power: the hotel’s swimming pool offers incredible views of Montferrat Valley. At the spa facilities – one of a kind in the region – guests will be able to enjoy privacy and peaceful tranquillity with hammam, sauna and Kneipp pool, as well as yoga and gym spaces.

The track was produced by GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award winner Edgar Barrera along with A.C. and Camilo. About her collaboration with Camilo, Selena expressed, Camilo is a fantastic songwriter and singer who proudly wears his heart on his sleeve which is something we connected on immediately. I couldn’t have been more excited to collaborate with him. About his first collaboration with Gomez, Camilo added, Working with Selena Gomez is a tremendous honor and a huge moment in my career. From the beginning, 999 was written based on the color of her voice, and it wouldn’t have existed if it wasn’t for the dream of this collaboration. I’m very excited and it means so much to me to have this beautiful song, with an artist whom I respect and have followed for so long.

Directed by Sophie Muller, the video was shot in Los Angeles, CA. Coinciding with the contagious rhythm of the track, its video features both Gomez and Camilo in a visually natural setting, which coincides with the track’s simple and organic manner. Selena’s and Camilo’s performance is timeless and natural, showing a true and real connection when interpreting the lyrics, decorated by dreamy and natural settings.

Receiving unanimous acclaim for her long-awaited return to Latin music, Selena Gomez released her first Spanish-language EP, REVELACIÓN earlier this year. Jazz-tinged late hours soul to languid hip-hop beats, music of real tension and originality – The Sunday Times

Puma Blue processes [his] pain with a hypnotic tenderness – Billboard

Puma Blue won widespread critical acclaim with the release of his debut LP In Praise of Shadows earlier this year. Described by NME as a brief moment of relief for those lost in the darkness the album found his storytelling at its most honest and vulnerable to date whilst his production reached new heights whilst retaining its characteristic bedroom intimacy.

Yet for all the intimacy of his voicemail-ballads on record, his songs carry a different resonance in live setting a mix of improvisation, in-the-moment escapism, and the collective power of an audience taking his music to new heights. It’s something the producer & vocalist, real name Jacob Allen, has had a lot of time to reflect on in the last year, the absence of touring and a move to Atlanta, GA giving him the time and distance to fully appreciate the importance of the record vs. live dichotomy to the way his work is perceived, experienced and felt.

Today, he pays tribute to his band, Harvey Gran (sax, keys, co-production), Cameron Dawson (bass), and Ellis Dupuy (drums) with the release of Phone Calls: A Short Film. Featuring live content, rehearsals, jam sessions, and behind-the-scenes footage, Phone Calls, which was directed & edited by Allen himself, puts a spotlight on each member’s contribution to the wider Puma Blue experience and allows them to reflect on their work together through a series of conversations recorded over the last year spent apart.

The resulting short film captures the spark of four young musicians whose telepathy allows them to become more than the sum of their parts. Yet it’s more than just music. The mini-doc highlights the otherwise unspoken bonds of friendship that make performing these often introspective songs such a life-affirming experience.

Jacob says, As beautiful as I could make something on my own, it could never compare to what these beautiful boys bring to it. Not just because they’re incredible musicians who are really connected to the spirit of music, but it’s more that live music is such an untameable thing. It’s such a deeper spectrum.

The release of Phone Calls also marks the announcement of Puma Blue’s biggest tours to date and the release of a Deluxe Edition of In Praise of Shadows, due out November 5th. The deluxe edition features the original album, boosted by eight live recordings mostly taken from rehearsals in early 2021, and two b-sides. With limited opportunities for people to hear the album in a live setting, this represents an intimate first glimpse at the magic unique to the full band arrangements.

The Deluxe Edition is completed by two new bedroom studio recordings with new single All I Need (a Radiohead cover) perfectly extending the album’s small hours spirit, the raw emotion of Puma Blue’s voice growing in tandem with the scale of the initially skeletal production, and the previously unreleased Postcard From Tokyo exploring loneliness with brutal honesty and a sparse acoustic atmosphere. The Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order here as a digital deluxe record along with a limited-run standalone bonus B-Sides & Live Versions vinyl.

Puma Blue can also now announce details of his first full tours since the album was released. Joined by his live band, Puma Blue will trek North America this November, before returning to Europe in February 2022. The UK dates include a homecoming show at the Brixton Electric on March 3rd. Tickets go on general sale today (UK & Europe) and tomorrow (N. America) here

Luis Vázquez – Me Tienes Mal

THE YOUNG SALSA SENSATION LUIS VÃZQUEZ RELEASES HIS NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO ME TIENES MAL

The young salsa prodigy Luis Vázquez presents today his brand-new single and music video Me Tienes Mal. The track was written by Damian Santiago with musical arrangements by Jay Lugo.

The song Me Tienes Mal tells the story of a young man who falls in love with a girl from his class but doesn’t know how to tell her. Meanwhile he’s imagining all possible scenarios in his head.

It’s the girl who’s walking there // The one with the light blue jeans // She’s the one that’s been driving me crazy since we crossed paths in the tenth grade // It’s the girl who’s walking there // With her modern style // If she knew that her name fills my notebook, is the catchy hook of this song in Spanish.

The music video, directed by Miguel Zayas, goes back and forth between the school and a stage. It shows the dichotomy of Luis being shy to ask a girl out, while on the stage he looks comfortable and secure. Eventually, that attitude translates into his romantic life, giving way to a happy ending in this love story.

Me Tienes Mal is the second single from Vázquez’s album titled Comienzos. In that same record production we find Tu Fan, an urban-infused salsa that scored Luis his first number one on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart at the beginning of this past July. At 15 years old, this Puerto Rican becomes the youngest soloist to reach this spot since the chart began in October 1994.

Luis Vázquez began his artistic career at 5 years old as the lead singer of Los Bravitos de la Plena, a kids music group. Along with seven other children, they stood out for singing plena and defending the Puerto Rican folk genre. The group was founded by Luis’ father, who is also a musician.

After 9 years in the group, Luis split up to focus on his career as a soloist and salsa performer.

The facility includes not only the new fully functional SAF content and production studio, but updated buildouts of the Ponyride co-working space for area entrepreneurs, computer lab, art gallery, 3D and laser printers, and a retail pop-up shop, similar to BGCSM’s Dauch Club on Tireman, which unveiled its Reimagined space with Big Sean in 2019.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan is proud to be the anchor partner bringing DON Weekend to Detroit neighborhoods, said Shawn H. Wilson, president & CEO BGCSM. On behalf of the youth and families of Detroit, we want to thank Myra and Sean for their continued support and love for the city.

The special weekend celebrates the Detroit artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, families and long-standing institutions that are the backbone of the city. Along with the special unveiling of the SAF Studio, there will be a community block party and Occupy the Corner led by President Pro-Tem Mary Sheffield. Activities include live DJ, free food, live performances, COVID-19 vaccines, free haircuts and braiding, workforce one jobs, felony expungement, apprenticeship opportunities, carnival rides, gaming stations and a celebrity kickball game.

During these difficult times it’s more important than ever to stay consistent in our service to others. Combining forces with the Sean Anderson Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern for the D.O.N. Weekend and Occupy the Corner – Detroit collaboration is a perfect way to show the community, especially those in need, that there are people who care and resources available, exclaimed Detroit City Council President Pro Tempore Mary Sheffield. Additionally with the new reality resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s nice to help the community we serve and love to get a little slice of normalcy, interaction, and fun.

On Sunday, to continue strong focus on mental and physical wellness, BGCSM will be hosting Yoga on the Beach with Jamel Randall, owner of the Trap Yoga and Massage Studio Detroit and an Industry Club Fashion Show.

The weekend’s events were made possible by presenting sponsors Duo, Detroit Pistons, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mercy Primary Care Center, Foot Locker, Fratarcangeli Wealth Management, The Mullick Foundation and TKG Business Management LLC.

Event tickets are limited due to COVID precautions but free to the public. BGCSM continues to be a safe space for youth, families and the community amid the current pandemic. Strict safety measures will be actively enforced during weekend activities.
