Nordista Freeze – Slow It Down

NORDISTA FREEZE RELEASES NEW SONG SLOW IT DOWN

ALBUM BIG SKY PIPE DREAM OUT SEPTEMBER 10

ANNOUNCES ANNUAL SPACE PROM 4 HOSTED BY NORDISTA FREEZE AND FRIENDS AND PRESENTED BY LIGHNING 100 IN NASHVILLE TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 3

LISTEN TO SLOW IT DOWN HERE

Nashville-based psych-pop singer-songwriter and showman extraordinaire Nordista Freeze has announced today’s premiere of a captivating new song Slow It Down which is available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Slow It Down is the third song from Nordista Freeze’s eagerly awaited new album, BIG SKY PIPE DREAM, out everywhere on Friday, September 10. Listen to Slow It Down and pre-order Big Sky Pipe Dream here.

The album is a sonic love letter to the warmth of 60’s pop marking a departure from his previous album Cosmic Haus, eschewing that album’s heavy conceptuality for a collection of 21st-century nuggets spanning the breezy, organ-driven Wysteria to the perfect pop of First Time, the latter hailed by NPR for being as good-natured as it is brightly infectious, an unseasonably pleasant spring Saturday in song form.

Slow It Down is country song for those who wear their heart on their sleeve. It’s about trying to take a step back from those moments of instant infatuation. Tracked to tape, we were able to really let the track wind down at the end. -Nordista Freeze

Nordista Freeze, known as the king of Nashville’s DIY scene is also pleased to announce this year’s Space Prom, an annual event that he organizes with other local Nashville talent. An homage to the past and a celebration of the present, Space Prom 4 will be presented by Nashville radio station giants Lightning 100. Those in attendance are encouraged to dress their cosmic best and dance the night away with a magical cover set featuring an all-star lineup featuring some of Nashville’s finest musicians. Past Space Proms have included Briston Maroney, Arlie, Dreamer Boy, Savannah Conley, and many more covering songs of the disco era. With the past three iterations of Space Prom selling out, Space Prom 4 promises to excite those in the Nashville community and beyond.

Having performed over 500 shows since 2016, Nordista Freeze is no stranger to the road and he will be backing BIG SKY PIPE DREAM with tour dates around the country. Additional dates will be announced – for updates and ticket information, please see the website.

Los Bukis – Una Historia Cantada Tour

LOS BUKIS Make History With The First TWO SOLD-OUT Full Capacity Concert Performances At Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium For Thousands Of Fans

The Legendary Regional Mexican Band Kicked Off Their Limited Engagement UNA HISTORIA CANTADA Stadium Tour With What Press Hailed As: Triumphant concerts with a packed house… an extraordinary and magical evening… a dream setlist where the hits kept coming… These concerts will remain in the memory of those present, forever and ever

LOS BUKIS UNA HISTORIA CANTADA Tour Continues Next With SOLD-OUT September 4th & 5th Concerts At Chicago’s Famed SOLDIER FIELD – Followed By Additional Stadium Dates In Houston, Dallas, San Antonio & Oakland (See Below)

This last weekend Los Bukis kicked off their highly anticipated Una Historia Cantada Tour to keep writing their history in gold letters and setting themselves up for musical immortality.

The appointment was at 8 pm for the two-day concerts, where thousands of attendees gathered to see Marco Antonio Solís, José Javier Solís, Joel Solís, Roberto Guadarrama, Eusebio El Chivo Cortéz and Pedro Sánchez reunite on the stage. The stadium thundered as the audience sang along hits such as Tu Cárcel, Mi Fantasía and Y Ahora Te Vas at the top of their lungs, embarking on a trip into melancholy, love and memories with these and many more songs that are hailed as Latin music classics.

People at the venue drove miles –some even traveled from many parts of the country and abroad– to watch the legendary band perform music that has passed from generation to generation and bring families together for this historic event.

More than 90 minutes on stage to tell relatable, crowd-pleasing stories and bring generations and nations together through the universal language of music. This certainly was an explosive starting signal for a tour that has started to be written in gold in music history books.

Una historia cantada continues next at Chicago’s Soldier Field on September 4th & 5th. On September 10th and 11th, Marco Antonio will perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas alongside special guests to celebrate the National Holidays and will then re-join the tour for performances at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on September 15th and Houston’s NRG Stadium on September 18th. The band has already added more dates at San Antonio’s Alamodome (September 25th) and Oakland’s RingCentral Coliseum (October 1st and 2nd.)

The feeling within the stadium was completely indescribable – it was surreal to be able to see Los Bukis reunite after 25 years and watch as they performed to the sold out crowds who were dancing and singing every word, said Hans Schafer, SVP of Touring and Head of Live Nation Latin. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment that generations of Bukis fans were able to experience all together under the same roof and I am so proud and thankful for everyone who helped make this happen from the band and their team, the Live Nation Latin team, all of the venues, and every single person that played a role here – it takes a village, and this village made something magical happen that means so much to so many people. – Hans Schafer, SVP of Touring and Head of Live Nation Latin

[For] a roaring Los Angeles crowd that waited more than 25 years to see the superstar ensemble back together onstage… It was a dream setlist… [from] ‘The Mexican Beatles’… Romanticism is the essence of Los Bukis’ songs, so it was no surprise that their over two-hour set would be an ode to love… Fans never got to sit as the hits kept coming… as relatable now as decades ago..  From cumbias to rancheras and, of course, breakup ballads… [And,] from the parking lot to inside the venue, everywhere you looked there was a family taking a selfie… That’s the magic of Los Bukis, their ability to bring multigenerational families together. – Billboard

Iconic Mexican band Los Bukis kick off tour with sold-out show[s] at SoFi Stadium. It was a packed house as… adoring Los Bukis fans got to see the legendary Mexican band on stage for the first time in 25 years… Tickets for the band’s first show at the 70,000-seat venue sold out within minutes, prompting the addition of a second show– which also quickly soldout…  their songs bring back a lifetime of memories…with sons & daughters surprising their parents with a gift of tickets. – KABC News

Los Bukis make history with SoFi Stadium debut… The Bukis not only filled the stadium twice (a challenge for any group or soloist), but also filled the hearts and souls of their fans after 25 years of waiting… With a journey through memory and romanticism… The legendary band surpassed expectations with two successful concerts that wrote in gold letters the first pages in the history of the huge and elegant new Los Angeles stadium that was built, for the most part, by the hands of Hispanic workers….   These concerts will remain in the memory of those present, who without realizing it are already part of ‘Una Historia Cantada’ and that will surely be told forever and ever Los Angeles Times en Espanol.

Honest Marijuana’s Inside Look at Weed Candy

What’s Sweet AND Gives You a Satisfying High? Weed Candy!

Cannabis consumption is entering the mainstream these days, as legalization spreads across the country. While there are all the traditional methods of getting high: smoking a joint, using a bong, and so on, new consumers have fueled the development of new ways of enjoying weed.

Why? For the simple reason that a lot of people don’t want to smoke. Whether because they don’t like the taste, or the stigma associated with the idea of inhaling smoke, there are plenty of people who look for alternative ways to consume marijuana and the most typical method is edibles. While the earliest versions of these were largely focused on pot brownies and cookies, cannabis-infused edibles come in so many more varieties: drinks, pills, snacks, spreads, and even candies.

Without Inhaling, Weed Candy Hits the Spot

As already mentioned, weed candy is a great alternative for those who can’t smoke or don’t want to smoke. And there are serious medical reasons why smoking might be off the table. For example, people with preexisting lung conditions or who use supplemental oxygen can still get the benefits of marijuana, without the risk of explosion!

Other medical conditions, including gastrointestinal issues from eating disorders, digestive disorders, and nausea due to chemotherapy can find relief from their symptoms by directly ingesting the low doses of cannabidiol (CBD) found in high-CBD/low-THC cannabis candy. Adding to these reasons is the simple fact that discretion can be very important to people. By choosing edibles, like candy, you can get the relaxing high without smoke, smell, or coughing.

Plus there is the added bonus that by getting your cannabis via candy, the effects last for quite a bit longer compared to smoking. This is because the candy, and the cannabis it contains, must first be digested. So, by smoking a joint, the process of getting high is much faster, as the THC moves directly from lungs to bloodstream without being digested, it’s just not an option for everyone.

What Kind of Weed Candy is Available?

Variety is the spice of life, and consuming cannabis candy is no exception. Weed candy takes many forms. The most popular are lozenges (like Jolly Ranchers), lollipops (food on a stick is always better), and gum.

The type of candy you choose will depend on your situation. For office workers, class attendees, and those concerned about appearances, the lozenge is the most discreet. At other times, a nice lollipop or piece of gum can really liven up a slow afternoon.

Advances in Weed Tech Applied to Candy. Advances in cannabis technology have yielded some pretty amazing options, but few reach the level of nanoencapsulated THC. Too much of a mouthful for you? Just call it Nanobidiol for short.

Nanobidiol is made using a cutting-edge process that minimizes each THC molecule and then surrounds it with a special membrane that gives the THC some unique qualities. Nanobidiol is not only smaller than regular THC, but it’s also more water-soluble. This decrease in size and increase in water solubility makes the THC more bioavailable. That means you’ll feel the high in 2-10 minutes, which is 6 times faster than other weed candy on the market that takes up to an hour to start working!

How Weed Candy Works

The impacts of weed candy on your system can be thought of in terms of speed and duration. Smoking your marijuana is like a drag race: Its effects are felt almost immediately, but they’re over just as quickly. Cannabis candy is like a NASCAR race: The experience, though still great, takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to get going. In addition, the effects of marijuana candy tend to last quite a bit longer (from 2-6 hours) because the cannabidiol is slowly digested in the stomach.

Is Weed Candy for You?

The benefits of weed candy are wide-ranging. Individuals suffering from both acute and chronic disorders can find relief inside a marijuana candy. Everything from chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, insomnia, to nausea, muscle inflammation, nervous system disorders, and muscle spasms can benefit from the way marijuana candy is processed into the body. Individuals who suffer from gastrointestinal disorders like Crohn’s Disease are especially benefited by marijuana candy and other edibles. This is because Crohn’s Disease is an autoimmune disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. Marijuana candy can deliver cannabinoids directly to the site of the disorder and provide much-needed relief.

As With Any Cannabis Product, Quality Counts

Quality is always a concern when it comes to marijuana. Whether you get your fix by smoking or ingesting, you should at least verify the quality of the product you’re consuming. With weed candy, it’s important to keep a few simple things in mind:

Currently, there is no regulatory agency in place for marijuana candy. What this means is that there is no way to ensure the same commercial food-prep standards that apply elsewhere. This can mean that trace amounts of allergens (gluten, nuts, pet dander, lactose) can find their way into the marijuana candy. For people allergic to these things, it’s worth really investigating your sources, or even learning how to bake your own edibles.

Similarly, there is no way to determine the quality of the cannabis used in the cannabis candy. Because the cannabis is hidden in the mix, it’s very easy for candy companies to dispose of lesser quality marijuana that can’t be sold for smoking. Buying from a reputable source is key. It’s not always possible, but purchasing a marijuana candy that has been lab-tested for potency and contaminants is preferable. The local dispensary that you’ve frequented for a number of years is a good place to start. If they don’t already sell marijuana candy, they might be able to find a reputable supplier.

Never Tried Weed Candy?

If you’ve never tried weed candy before, we suggest that you purchase a piece or two from a trusted source and see what you think. If you like the taste and the effects it produces, you’ll have a better idea of what you’re looking for in future purchases. As with every other method of cannabis consumption, the important thing is that you enjoy the ride.

Quality Candy is Made with Quality Weed

Weed candy can come from any one of the more than 700 existing strains and be of any quality. The best weed candy, however, comes from high-quality, organic buds.

With a good quality organic strain, you’ll need less candy to experience the same effects. In other words, a little will go a long way. You may have to pay a bit more for weed candy made from a high-quality extract, but you’ll be much happier with how you feel when you use it. So don’t settle for an inferior weed candy. Get some made from the best buds on the planet and experience cannabis and candy the way it was meant to be.

About Anthony Franciosi and Honest Marijuana Company

Anthony Franciosi also known as Ant, is an honest to goodness farmer whose fingers are as green as the organic cannabis he grows. He is the proud founder of Honest Marijuana Co. – an all natural, completely organic marijuana growery in Colorado. The company is a pioneer in the industry, using Earth-friendly recyclable tin cans with pure nitrogen to ensure only the highest level of integrity and quality, launching Honest Blunts, the first organic hemp-wrapped, machine-rolled cannabis blunts as well as inventing the patented Nanobidiol Technology, which reduces non-water-soluble substances like cannabinoids into a nano-size so they can be added to candy, transdermal patches, topical lotions, and other cannabis products for the cleanest, most efficient, and most discreet form of cannabis consumption.

Sam Himself – La Paz

SAM HIMSELF FONDUE WESTERN’S INDIE ROCKER SHARES DREAMY ANTHEM LA PAZ

DEBUT ALBUM, POWER BALLADS, OUT OCTOBER 2021

Sam Himself uses his vocal power to sing songs of finding your place. – Consequence of Sound

LISTEN TO LA PAZ

WATCH LA PAZ

Alt. indie rocker Sam Himself shares La Paz, a melancholy journey from minimalist intro to anthemic climax, covering almost as much ground as the road trip by which it was inspired. Sam’s latest release is the final single leading up to his debut album, Power Ballads, due out in October. La Paz follows album singles Cry, Nothing Like the Night, and, most recently, What It’s Worth, which premiered via Under The Radar Magazine, was picked up by KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, KEXP’s The Morning Show, and – as of this writing – remains on rotation on numerous national and regional stations in France, Germany, Switzerland and beyond.

The self-declared Fondue Western baritone and Swiss Music Awards 2021-nominee was on tour in Europe last year when the pandemic broke out. Unable to return to New York City, his chosen home of the past decade, Sam set up shop in his native Basel, Switzerland, where he started writing the songs on his upcoming full-length debut. The artist’s exile-at-home lasted just shy of a year, a strange time marked by restless daydreams, according to Sam, including the escapist fantasy that inspired La Paz:

During lockdown, my mind wandered a lot, looking for exits. I got really nostalgic for past travels and times when I could move freely wherever I wanted to go. Peru, for example. I took a road trip there a few years ago. One night, I was driving through the desert with about two fingers of water left in the car and the aftermath of some recent chemical calamity playing out in my bloodstream; I was exhausted but stopping by the side of the road didn’t really feel like an option, so I kept going. I’m pretty sure I was heading for the Bolivian border, and I remember staring at my GPS and thinking if I can just get to La Paz – the Bolivian city – I’ll be ok. (I can be a little melodramatic when I’m hungover.) I never made it there but La Paz nevertheless became a sort of mantra on that trip, a name for the light at the end of the tunnel. Probably not the most laid-back trip I ever took. Still, at the height of quarantine cabin fever last year, I would have given a lot to be back in that stuffy rental car in the desert, waiting for the sun to rise.

Over the course of those months in limbo, Sam began recording the ten tracks on Power Ballads wherever he could: the distinct lead bass on La Paz, for instance, Sam cut on a borrowed Hofner in the attic of his mom’s house in Basel. Despite the fact that she walked in on a number of takes (the two have since reconciled), Sam ended up using many of those demo recordings for the final version of his album. This DIY approach allowed the artist to focus on the final touches once he was able to return to New York in early 2021, where he completed his first LP together with his Second Beatle, producer and mixing engineer Daniel Schlett (Iggy Pop; The War on Drugs) at Strange Weather Studio in Brooklyn.

Schlett has been Sam Himself’s a close creative partner on all his previous releases, including last year’s acclaimed EP Slow Drugs, which featured Parker Kindred (drums – Jeff Buckley; Elliott Smith) and Josh Werner (bass – Iggy Pop; Ghostface Killah) and earned the artist a Swiss Music Award nomination in his home country in early 2021, as well as international press and radio airplay, numerous DSP editorials, and critical praise for the accompanying music videos. All songs on Sam Himself’s upcoming debut album were mastered by Greg Calbi (David Bowie; Bruce Springsteen).

As featured by SPIN Magazine (10/1), KEXP, Under The Radar, KCRW, Danger Mouse Jukebox, The Wild Honeypie, American Songwriter, The Philadelphia Globe, Consequence of Sound, Variance Magazine, Swiss National Radiotelevision SRF, DIFFUS Magazin (GE), and many more.

The Greeting Comittee – Ada

THE GREETING COMMITTEE SHARE LIFE-AFFIRMING LGBTQ ANTHEM ADA

WATCH THE OFFICIAL VIDEO HERE

NEW ALBUM DANDELION OUT 9/24

Kansas City-based alt-rock band The Greeting Committee premiere their new single Ada, a grippingly honest and life-affirming track that frontwoman Addie Sartino calls an anthem for all our LGBTQ friends and family and fans. Named for a trans woman the band befriended years ago, Ada marks the latest single from their upcoming sophomore album Dandelion, due out via Harvest Records on September 24. Go HERE to stream/download Ada, and pre-order Dandelion HERE.

The single arrives alongside a powerful visual directed by Ada Brumback and produced by Alison Claire Peck (Story School). The video depicts an an all too familiar narrative for many LGBTQ youth. By the end, the protagonist is joined by her community of allies while the line you are loved is repeated. Watch the video HERE.

Partly inspired by Sartino’s own experience in coming out (and by the story of a beloved Greeting Committee fan named Dakota), Ada wanders between tender narration and inner monologue, embedding its lyrics with essential yet bracing truths (It’s hard to be a woman, even harder to be somebody you’re not; A dead name don’t ring the same). In bringing the intensely poignant song to life, The Greeting Committee took great care to fully honor Ada’s emotional reality.

When we were writing that song, [Ada] took the time to go for a two-hour walk with me and tell me about being transgender and growing up in a small town, and what that felt like for her, Sartino recalls, noting that The Greeting Committee first met Ada back when she handled merch for the band.

Referring to the song’s namesake as one of the people who’s made The Greeting Committee who we are today, Sartino points out that Ada closely aligns with the band’s longtime mission of providing their audience with music that illuminates. I think it’s important to have a song like ‘Ada’ on our album, and it’s even more important to give Ada and Dakota the recognition they deserve, says Sartino. Because at the end of the day, I’m not transgender, that’s not my story to share. But I do have a voice and a platform, and to be able to use that platform to share these very personal stories is incredibly special. It’s something that we as a band don’t take lightly.

Like all of Dandelion, Ada was produced by Jennifer Decilveo (MARINA, FLETCHER, Bat for Lashes) and mixed by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala), who helped to assemble the track’s kinetic collage of sounds: thrashing percussion, bright squalls of synth, achingly delicate piano work. The song arrives as the follow-up to The Greeting Committee’s recent single Float Away, a July release praised by the likes Pop Matters (who noted that the bass steamrolls in static, angst-grunged; the drums are propulsive without feeling frenetic; and marimba keys twirl underneath it in a loop, like a haunted carousel all our minds seem to be stuck riding lately). Back in June, the band shared the first single from Dandelion: the gorgeously sprawling alt-pop epic Can I Leave Me Too?, hailed by Clash as a raw portrayal of post-break-up poignance, cloaked in indie pop reverb.

About The Greeting Committee

Made up of Addie Sartino, Brandon Yangmi, Pierce Turcotte, and Austin Fraser, The Greeting Committee have embraced a spirit of purposeful sharing since their formation in 2014. Founded soon after Sartino and Yangmi got their start playing open-mic nights in Kansas City, the band self-released their debut EP It’s Not All That Bad in 2015. Its lead single Hands Down quickly became a breakout hit, paving the way for The Greeting Committee’s signing to Harvest Records when they were all still in high school. After making their Harvest debut with the Meeting People Is Easy EP in 2017 and releasing their debut album This Is It in 2018, the band spent much of the next few years on the road, with sold-out headline shows in major markets such as Chicago, Austin, New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis. To date, they’ve toured with the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tennis, Hippo Campus, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise and taken the stage at leading festivals like Lollapalooza and SXSW, in addition to delivering the I’m Afraid I’m Not Angry EP in late 2019 and appearing in Netflix’s To All the Boys: Always and Forever. The band’s second album Dandelion will be out on September 24 via Harvest Records.

Beach Wave Sound / RCA Records artist Destiny Rogers releases a brand new single with accompanying visualizer Simon Say featuring Flo Milli.

LISTEN / WATCH HERE

Simon Say was produced by multi-Grammy Award winning and Producer of the Year nominated producers/songwriters The Stereotypes (Bruno Mars, Cardi B., Justin Bieber) who also co-wrote the song with Destiny Rogers, Flo Milli and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Ant Clemons. On Simon Say, Destiny offers up a gorgeously understated anthem of empowerment. One of the main messages I want to put out in my songs is the idea of being an independent woman and a boss bitch. ‘Simon Say’ is about knowing what you’re capable of, and never letting anyone hold you down says Destiny.

Simon Say follows Destiny’s latest tracks What I Like, which was featured in Destiny’s Jordan Brand campaign, titled Delta of Destiny for the release of the Jordan Delta 2 shoe, and West Like featuring Kalan.FrFr on which Destiny pays loving homage to her West Coast and Latin roots.

Check out her live performance video for What I Like HERE and the official video for West Like HERE , plus a live performance video HERE.

Since first breaking through with her boldly confident but carefree single Tomboy, which has generated over 45 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE) and most recently covered by K-Pop super group Black Pink’s Lisa through a dance cover (Watch HERE) that has generated over 70 million views,  Destiny Rogers has staked her claim as an artist to watch. Growing up in the Northern California town of Lodi, the 21-year-old multi-faceted musician taught herself to play guitar at age 10 and soon started writing and self-producing her own songs. Soon after the 2019 premiere of Tomboy, a track that recently hit #12 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50, Destiny’s spectacular rise has included touring the world and writing for heavy hitters such as Alicia Keys, Khelani and G-Eazy, all while discovering a new sound that transcends genres to irresistible effect.

Check out her Genius Verified piece HERE which explores her debut Tomboy.

Destiny Rogers is currently in the studio working on new material.  Prior to West Like featuring Kalan.FrFr, Destiny released a reworking of Tomboy feat. Coi Leray, and linked up with Coi for a special TikTok to the song which was reposted on Instagram and praised by Kim Kardashian West.  In addition, K-Pop superstar B.I released his global single, Got It Like That featuring Destiny Rogers with Tyla Yaweh which debuted at #1 on Spotify’s K-Pop X-Overs chart and has generated over 4 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE).
