Twelve Health Benefits of Ginger

Many people get into homeopathy to assist with ongoing conditions. Although medication and advice from your doctor could make life more comfortable, adding all-natural remedies to your treatment plan could result in more significant results. Check out these 12 health benefits of ginger and how to use ginger for whatever ailments you must address.

1. It Helps With Nausea

You don’t have to be sick to feel nauseous. Pregnant women battle morning sickness and sometimes nausea is a side effect for people starting a new medication. Either way, adding ginger to hot tea or cold drinks will relieve your upset stomach if used in small amounts, like a quarter of a teaspoon. Large doses could cause stomach cramps.

2. It Reduces Cellular Inflammation

Inflammation results from many conditions, like illnesses and stress. Ginger will reduce or eliminate the inflammation and put your body more at ease. It was highly effective in a study regarding inflamed lung lining in asthma patients, so it will have the same cellular effects when ingested in a meal or drink. Ongoing cellular inflammation hurts your health and well-being, but Ginger can become a powerful dietary component in preventing discomfort by aiding your cells.

3. It Could Lower Blood Sugar

A study that followed participants who took 2,000-milligram (mg) supplements every day saw that ginger had positive effects on blood sugar tests for people with Type 2 diabetes. It may anchor your blood sugar in addition to your ongoing diabetes treatments. All-natural supplements are available at most pharmacies, but talk with your doctor before taking any to ensure it’s safe for medical conditions.

4. It Might Help With Weight Loss

Ginger often comes up in conversation with people who want to lose weight. A recent literature review found that it successfully repeated weight loss results in 14 studies. It could help rev your metabolism and get you back on track. Mix it into your shakes or make delicious ginger-focused recipes like chawanmushi. This Japanese egg custard uses a ginger sauce to diversify your flavor palette and make the keto-friendly dish an Instagram-worthy meal.

5. It Can Lower Heart Disease Risks

Heart disease is often a genetic condition, so you might not be able to avoid it altogether. However, if you use ginger every day, it might make the risk of developing heart disease early in life a less likely possibility. When it seeps into your bloodstream through your digestive tract, it improves your blood lipid levels and lowers your risk of heart conditions.

6. It Eases Osteoarthritis Symptoms

Osteoarthritis affects the degeneration of your joints. It might come as a surprise that ginger can help with this condition as well. People with osteoarthritis in their knees experienced significant pain relief after using topical ginger ointments. Whether taken orally or topically, ginger could be a great addition to your pain treatment because it’s so effective at reducing inflammation that triggers pain.

7. It Comforts People With Digestive Problems

Some digestive problems occur because a person’s stomach lining becomes irritated. Ginger soothes any resulting inflammation to ease symptoms like cramping. It also tackles nausea, so sip on warm ginger tea to soothe digestive problems whenever they occur. You could also add ginger oil to a drink if you don’t enjoy the powder in your beverages.

8. It Might Prevent Cancer

When you buy ginger at the grocery store, it doesn’t look like something powerful enough to fight cancer. It’s always wise to follow your doctor’s advice for a cancer diagnosis and treatment plan, but adding more ginger to your diet could help your outcome.

Researchers closely analyzed ginger’s effect on cancer patients and found that 6-gingerol destroys cancer cells when found naturally in the whole herb, instead of in oil or powdered form. The results will be much smaller than what happens during chemo treatments, but it can be an additional step for anyone fighting cancer or trying to stay in remission.

9. It Lowers Cholesterol Levels

What can 5 grams of ginger do for you? When taken every day, it might lower your cholesterol. Patients with hyperlipidemia who added that much ginger to their diet through supplements saw their low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol drop by 17.3% throughout the three-month study. It’s helpful for people trying to improve their health alongside prescribed treatments.

10. It Relieves Menstrual Pain

The clinical term for menstrual pain is dysmenorrhea. People who experience this pain often take over-the-counter medications to feel more comfortable, but ginger can also help. Study participants who took ginger supplements had the same pain relief as those who took the painkiller Novafen.

This natural herbal remedy is perfect for anyone still in pain after taking the recommended amount of medication. Try it in a hot drink to soothe tense muscles that might be sore after reacting to long-term pain.

11. It Battles Infections

When you picture an infection, you might think about a cut on your arm or leg. Infections also happen inside organs, which is when ginger can help. People have always used it for its antibacterial properties, but a recent study proved that ginger oil treats internal infections when taken orally. Depending on how you would most enjoy the flavor, you could add it to meals, salad dressings, shakes, or hot drinks.

12. It Could Fight Alzheimer’s Disease

People who have Alzheimer’s have an abnormal buildup of protein in their brains. It creates a plaque that worsens memory loss and other symptoms. When those same people put more ginger in their diet, it eased their ongoing symptoms because the anti-inflammatory properties reduced plaque buildup.

Sometimes doctors recommend taking ginger supplements or using ginger oil when someone receives an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. It can slow the progression and give people more time with their loved ones, if used in addition to other medications or treatments.

BASQUIAT × NFT’s × TRILLER = HISTORY

Triller × The Bishop Gallery: Triller brings The Bishop Gallery to Miami and disrupts Art Basel with Week-Long Basquiat Exhibit and Historic First-Ever Live NFT Auction of Rare Photos of Jean-Michel

Opening on Monday, November 29 through December 4 and located at the new BLK Miami, Triller will upend the event game again. This time at Art Basel with programming to showcase art, music, and now, the explosion of NFT culture.

A significant highlight of the event, and arguably for all of Art Basel, for the first time in Miami, the world will see Basquiat, personally and intimately like never before, with the Our Friend, Jean exhibition curated by The Bishop Gallery and hosted by Triller, a trailblazing, AI-powered global platform. Together they will serve up Miami’s finest at this first-ever physical and digital curated experience that will focus on what’s sure to be a historic NFT auction during a week-long art exhibition of the legendary Neo-expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Throughout the week, Triller promises extraordinary experiences. The once in a lifetime event will feature digital and physical auctions, celebrity guest speakers, live painting, surprise NFT drops, pop-ups, integrations, live musical performances, first-look opportunities, gallery exhibits with artists like Cory Van Lew, CryptoPunks, and Punk Me Tender, private walk-throughs, live discussions with Basquiat’s long-time friends, along with exclusive VIP events.\

Taking place in Wynwood at BLK Studios, located at 2060 NW 1st Ave, Miami, FL, the event will highlight some of the earliest artworks created by America’s Most Influential Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. His record-breaking sales continue to fascinate the world – and remain influential in the cultural sphere as Tiffany & Co. featured Jay Z and Beyonce posing in front of a never-seen-before canvas for their recent advertising campaign.

Starting Monday, November 29, in partnership with The Bishop Gallery, Triller will host the exclusive experience showing works curated by The Bishop Gallery from Jean-Michel Basquiat. These artworks will be on loan from collectors who knew Jean-Michel as friends, including Alexis Adler, Basquiat’s friend, roommate and Al Diaz, Co-Creator of SAMO©. Their rare photographs collection shines a light on Basquiat’s personal life like never before. They will be sharing their remembrances and untold stories about their friendship with Basquiat throughout the week. Guests can register for an invite for free here.

During the immersive gallery experience, Our Friend Jean, there will be live discussions with Basquiat’s close friends and people who knew him personally. A total of 20 plus works will be displayed, including drawings, writings, apparel, and mixed media collages. The group of collectors consists of Jane Diaz, Hilary Jaeger, Katie Taylor, Lucy Sante, and photographer Alexis Adler who also served as co-curator. Through these works, each collector will be sharing uniquely intimate stories of their friend, Jean.

Happening on Friday, December 3, Our Friend Jean NFT Auction, is an exclusive event of art, music along with a LIVE NFT AUCTION experience. For the first time, an incredible selection of NFT drops featuring rare and personal photos of Basquiat will be available on the Trillernfts.com marketplace with exclusive previews and purchase opportunities onsite. In addition to the auction, there will be several central stage moments, a physical donation of an NFT. The Bishop Gallery chose the TrillerNFT marketplace because the Triller platform has been specifically engineered to minimize the minting process’s computing costs and complexities to reduce the carbon footprint effects.

This partnership signals Triller’s longstanding tradition to celebrate the disruptors and serve as the catalyst for creativity. The increasing popularity of NFTs proves they are indisputably the art vehicle of the future. The artist Beeple‘s sale of his NFT digital collage astounded the world and had global repercussions when it sold for a record-smashing 69 million dollars at Christie’s in March. With this announcement, Triller is poised to be the destination for the most exclusive NFT sales and drops.

After Art Basel, Triller x The Bishop Gallery will present the “Our Friend, Jean: HBCU Tour,” the exhibition will embark on a tour to eight HBCU (Historically Black Colleges/Universities) schools. The tour will kick off in early 2022 and land in eight cities, where Alexis Adler will appear to share the works from the Alexis Adler Archive, featuring works from Basquiat and potential art donations to the schools.

This year will mark an influential time for Triller, as they cap off a year of incredible events within the art and cultural community, allowing both recognized and up-and-coming talent to utilize the platform to present their creativity, whether it be through art or music. Speaking of influence, securing this historic drop will make Triller a lead in the marketplace.

ALESSO – SOMEBODY TO USE

Today marks the premiere of “Somebody To Use,” the exhilarating new single from GRAMMY-nominated producer/dance artist Alesso. “Somebody To Use” comes with a toxic mix ready for the clubs too. Watch the new video HERE.

In a glorious moment of worlds colliding, “Somebody To Use” once again proves Alesso’s incredible talent for merging the massively catchy melodies and raw emotion of pop with the forward-thinking sound design of boundary-pushing dance music. Built on a heavenly backdrop of glistening synth and gorgeously cascading beats, the track surges forward with an unstoppable energy paired with velvety vocals. The result: a full-tilt anthem that invites both total surrender and pure catharsis. Already familiar to fans, Alesso has teased and performed the highly anticipated “Somebody to Use” on his sets for the past two years.

“Somebody To Use” arrives as the follow-up to “Chasing Stars,” Alesso’s collaboration with Marshmello, featuring GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter/guitarist James Bay. Soon after premiering in August alongside a beautifully surreal video directed by Jake Jelicich (Dua Lipa, Niall Horan), “Chasing Stars” shot to #10 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart, ultimately spending 11 weeks there. The original track was followed by a VIP mix from Alesso (available HERE) and the breathtakingly intimate ”Chasing Stars (Stripped) [feat. James Bay]” (listen HERE).

Aside from “Chasing Stars” Alesso takes part in the Blade Runner: Black Lotus Soundtrack with Danna Paola on “Rescue Me“ and recently partnered with OneOf – the green NFT platform built for the music community – to release his debut NFT collection “Cosmic Genesis.”

ABOUT ALESSO

A global maverick in the dance world, Alesso has repeatedly proven that his influence transcends boundaries and crosses over into countless genres to that end, he’s collaborated with such eclectic artists as OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Liam Payne, Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, Anitta, and more. With his past hits including the platinum-certified “If I Lose Myself“ and gold-certified “Under Control,” the Sweden native has also found major success with “Calling (Lose My Mind),” which topped the Billboard US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. On Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, his massive breakup anthem “Let Me Go” collaboration with Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line reached No. 9, while “Is That Me” peaked at No. 25. In 2020, he released a pair of hit singles: “Midnight,” featuring former One Direction member Liam Payne, and “THE END“ with goth-pop singer/songwriter Charlotte Lawrence. To date, he’s performed at international festivals ranging from Tomorrowland to Ultra Music Festival to Electric Daisy Carnival, with his national TV experience including closing out GMA’s Summer Concert Series, performing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and taking the stage at the AMAs.

How to Wash White Shoes

By: Amanda Sanders

Caring for white shoes requires special attention as dirt and stains are unavoidable and is easily visible on a white surface. Fortunately, there are many ways to bring a dirty pair of white shoes back to life and to its original color. Amanda Sanders, Celebrity Stylist, Fashion Consultant, and Lifestyle Expert at AmandaSanders.com, shares her top tips on how to best remove stains for different types of white shoes and get them to look good as new.

  • Acknowledge that white shoes will eventually turn yellow. You can’t prevent sneakers from turning white to yellow because that naturally happens over time. However, there are ways to prevent debris from sticking which can add to the color change.
  • Be cautious about throwing shoes into the washing machine. I don’t recommend using the washing machine for shoes because it can warp and damage some of the shoes. When it comes to suede and leather white shoes, these materials can be completely damaged from the rinse cycle. Also, the heat from the washer can damage the glue that holds the soles together. It is better to air dry shoes by gathering newspapers, crinkling them, and inserting them into the shoe. Make sure to take out the laces and soles and let them sit overnight.
  • Use cleaning products that’s suited to the material of the shoe. To clean white leather, you can use a Mr. Clean sponge and neutral leather cream. Fun fact, leather sneakers can be air brushed white after a good professional cleaning! If you want to clean canvas and athletic shoes at home, dry brush it with a toothbrush to get rid of as much dirt and debris as you can. Then, mix warm water with a bit of laundry detergent like Arm & Hammer Odor Blasters and submerge the whole shoe in a bucket. Use the brush to scrub the mixture into stains, rinse off all residue, and air dry completely.
  • Opt for a laundry service for convenience. I love using a service like “Cobbler Concierge” as they will pick up and drop off your sneakers, looking new and fresh!

Ten Lifestyle Changes to Reduce Acne

Breakouts are the worst. They steal your self-confidence and often happen when you need to look your best. If you’re struggling with keeping your face clear, you don’t have to worry about paying for an expensive appointment with a specialist. Make a few of these simple lifestyle changes to reduce acne and feel more confident every day.

1. Start Washing Your Face

You’d be surprised by how many people live their lives without washing their faces. Unless you began prioritizing your skincare at a young age, it’s something that might slip your mind as you get older and handle more responsibilities.

If you don’t already wash your face, add it to your daily routine. Enjoy experimenting with different brands and products to see which have the best effects on your skin. You’ll quickly notice any unexpected side effects and adjust your routine from there.

2. Time Your Face Washing

Washing your face in the morning or at night is a standard way to add it to your routine, but it might not be best for your skin. It could be more advantageous to wash your face after a workout or any other time you find yourself sweating. You’ll prevent the sweat from sitting on your face all day and potentially turning into acne.

3. Eat More Healthy Fats

Consider your diet. How often do you get omega-3 fatty acids? You can find them in foods like fish, eggs, beans, and nuts. They’re great for your physical health and can reduce your breakouts.

Research shows that people who increase their intake of fatty acids deal with less inflammation that triggers acne. Adding these foods to your diet could improve your skin’s health overnight.

4. Switch Your Cosmetic Products

You’d never leave home without your makeup on point, but the ingredients in your favorite products could be the source of your skincare worries. There are a few common ingredients that may cause breakouts for people with sensitive skin, like:

  • Almond oil
  • Beeswax
  • Cocoa butter

Looking closely at your preferred products is the best way to narrow down which ingredients might bother your skin. If they contain these comedogenic ingredients, find replacements that don’t rely on them to see how your skin changes with new cosmetics.

5. Drink Lots of Water

When your body senses an excessive amount of drying on your face, it automatically produces more natural oils. Although it helps your skin become more elastic and durable, it can also increase your acne.

Drink plenty of water every day to help your skin stay hydrated. If your dry skin remains a problem even after increasing your water intake, talk with your doctor. Prescribed lotions may help your underlying case of eczema along with your improved hydration.

6. Take a Daily Probiotic

Your skin has its own microbiome. When it becomes off-balance due to oil-stripping products or a change in your diet, you could experience more breakouts. Sometimes taking a daily probiotic can mitigate your acne. When your body’s microbiome finds balance again with the additional healthy bacteria, your skin won’t struggle with as many breakouts because it’s in harmony with the rest of your body.

7. Exercise More Often

Stress hormones are part of everyday life, but you shouldn’t feel constantly overwhelmed by them. When cortisol builds up in your body, the stress hormone can trigger frequent breakouts even if you’re already washing your face or drinking water. It’s your body’s call for help and a change of pace.

Exercising is an excellent way to reduce stress. Start walking a couple of times each week or biking around a local trail. The activity eases stress levels and leaves you feeling content instead. A peaceful mind may result in skin that doesn’t constantly battle acne.

8. Remember Your Sunscreen

Sunscreen protects your skin from UV rays while secretly benefiting your body in other ways. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. The ingredients keep your skin from being sensitive to the sun and reduce the microscopic inflammation that results in acne.

It’s always wise to apply sunscreen whenever you’re going outside in direct sunlight. Protect yourself with daily applications and it might help reduce your breakouts during the spring and summer.

9. Sleep More Every Night

Good nightly rest is a cure-all for many things, including breakouts. As you sleep, your body resets its biological processes and restores your hormonal balance. It releases lingering stress that might otherwise trigger a breakout. Sleep also promotes blood flow for optimal skin health.

How much sleep do you get every night? Everyone’s heard that the average adult should get eight hours of daily rest, but that isn’t always the case. Your body is different from that of an adult who’s older or younger than you. You might feel well-rested after six hours of sleep or only feel refreshed after nine hours.

Play around with your sleep schedule to determine the best amount of sleep for your body’s needs. The extra rest will benefit your physical health and keep you from suffering from additional breakouts.

10. Limit Your Dairy Intake

Some people suggest that anyone with acne problems should limit their dairy intake. It may cause minor digestive inflammation even if you’re not lactose intolerant. The inflammation could continue to affect your skin long after you eat that ice cream cone or mac ‘n’ cheese.

If you do have lactose intolerance, your irritated stomach lining may trigger stress hormones which result in acne. Either way, there’s no way to know until you’ve eliminated dairy and reintroduced it to your diet. You’ll know it’s a cause of your acne if your breakouts stop when dairy isn’t part of your daily routine.

Consider Lifestyle Changes to Reduce Acne

Skincare products can do wonders for breakouts, but they’re not your only option when it comes to battling acne. These are a few lifestyle changes to reduce acne that anyone can try. Whether you want to play around with your diet, get more sleep, or change up the cosmetics currently in your bathroom, you’ll eventually notice an improved difference in your skin by trying new things with your routine.

Nine Tips for Improving Circulation in the Body

Your circulation has much to do with your overall health. Every cell in your body relies on a healthy supply of oxygenated blood to perform its routine tasks and remove waste. It benefits you to get your blood moving. Here are nine tips for improving circulation in the body.

1. Recognize the Signs of Trouble

As Ned Stark said in “Game of Thrones,” winter is coming. Do you find that you’re constantly cold and tired, warming your icy fingers in front of space heaters and fueling office thermostat wars? You might not need to adjust that dial — the issue could be poor circulation.

In addition to coldness and fatigue, the following symptoms might indicate problems with your blood flow:

  • Tingling and numbness: This symptom indicates that something is restricting blood flow, keeping it from reaching your extremities in sufficient quantities.
  • Muscle cramps: Your muscles require oxygen to flex and contract. Without a sufficient blood supply, your legs, feet, hands, and arms may become stiff.
  • Swelling: Edema is the scientific name for what occurs when fluid accumulates in your extremities due to insufficient circulation. The excess liquid spills into surrounding tissues, often causing pain.

If you frequently notice such symptoms, you should make a call to your doctor. They may refer you to a cardiologist for further evaluation. Medications and lifestyle changes can ease your condition and help you live comfortably.

2. Get Your Body in Motion

Exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve your circulation. Physical activity tones your heart muscle, making it operate more efficiently. You pump more blood with each beat, decreasing your overall pulse rate. Additionally, movement improves your muscles’ ability to pull oxygen from your bloodstream, lowering your blood pressure.

Walking is an excellent form of cardiovascular training that nearly anyone can do for free. All you need is a sturdy pair of tennis shoes. Another freebie that gets your heart pumping is dance. This form of physical activity comes with a bonus — it works your neuroplasticity, helping you stave off Alzheimer’s disease more effectively than other activities.

3. Kick the Butts

Smoking harms your circulation through several mechanisms. The chemicals in tobacco harm your blood cells, increasing their numbers and your risk of clots.

Smoking also damages the structure and function of your heart and blood vessels, increasing your risk of atherosclerosis. This condition involves a sticky substance called plaque that builds up in and narrows your arteries. When this hardening occurs, your heart struggles to pump oxygen-rich blood to the areas of your body that need it.

This plaque can snowball into peripheral artery disease (P.A.D.), a condition that restricts blood flow to your head, organs, and limbs. People with P.A.D. run an increased risk of heart attack and stroke, particularly when combining smoking with other risk factors like obesity.

4. Try a Standing Desk

Do you have a desk job? Sitting may not be the new smoking, but prolonged inactivity harms your circulation.

One solution is to try a standing desk. These models let you segue from sitting to standing throughout the workday, keeping your blood flowing more efficiently. If you don’t have the cash to invest in a commercial model, you can achieve a similar effect with stacks of boxes or books.

5. Thin Your Blood a Bit

You should always consult with your doctor before beginning an aspirin regimen. However, the acetylsalicylic acid found in this over-the-counter medication might offer you some protection against a heart attack, even if you smoke.

An aspirin regimen might also decrease some of the inflammation associated with chronic pain conditions. If you prefer herbal medicine, white willow bark produces a similar effect. However, you shouldn’t combine the two — thinning your blood too much can lead to excessive bruising, dizziness, and fainting.

6. Wear Compression Garments

Do you stand all day at work? If you’re a cashier, stock clerk, or mail carrier, you may wish to invest in compression garments.

These garments may also prevent varicose veins, which occur when your body struggles to pump blood back to your heart from your extremities. Some people swear by these products to improve their sports performance. They’re a good investment if you frequently fly long distances, helping prevent deep vein thrombosis.

7. Keep Your Extremities Toasty

Think back to your high school physics class. When the molecules in a liquid or gas heat up, what happens? They expand. The same principle applies to your body.

Therefore, keeping your extremities toasty may boost your circulation, especially if your low blood flow stems from a heart defect such as a floppy mitral valve. The warmth from a pair of fuzzy socks keeps your blood from pooling in your toes, causing edema and pain.

8. Learn the Art of Massage

Few things feel better than a relaxing foot and leg massage. However, you don’t have to shell out the big bucks to seek professional treatment if you can’t afford it.

You can learn how to do a foot massage, stimulating circulation in your lower extremities. If you have a partner, why not practice with each other to strengthen your bond while boosting blood flow?

9. Maintain a Healthy Weight

The more mass your body takes up, the farther your blood has to travel to reach your extremities and get back to your heart. It’s the physiological equivalent of taking the scenic route. However, you’re rewarded with poor circulation instead of a breathtaking view.

Therefore, do all you can to maintain a healthy body weight. Eat a plant-based diet high in lean proteins and low in empty calories like white flour and sugar. Get regular exercise — the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 150-300 minutes a week of moderate activity or 75-150 minutes of vigorous workouts for adults aged 18 through 64.

Improve Circulation in the Body

Poor blood flow can lead to a host of unpleasant health effects. Improve circulation in the body with the nine above tips.

Brianna Colette Q×A

Soulmate Coach, Brianna Colette Launches “Relationship Rehab”

“When people come to me, their love life has become stagnant, and they don’t know why. It usually means they are living in a belief system of fears and old trauma. I work to upgrade their belief system about what is available to them and what they think they deserve. When you don’t know how to love yourself you will end up settling for someone who doesn’t know how to love you either.”

Brianna Colette is an intuitive relationship healer and soulmate medium who helps guide her clients to connect with their inner self to focus more on a higher sense of self love to grow stronger connections and relationships, ultimately leading them to finding and experiencing the most preeminent of bonds: soulmate love.

We got the opportunity to speak with Brianna last week about what she does, providing insight and a chance to learn about the background to this profession.

What led you to this calling?

In 2017, I witnessed a violent murder of a family by their adult son. I was able to save the lives of two people, but I suffered mentally and emotionally as result. At the same time, the relationship that I thought would be my anchor abruptly ended and only further triggered my abandonment issues. I struggled with PTSD, depression, panic attacks, and anxiety. I had sunk so low I started having suicidal thoughts. It was then I knew I needed more than talk therapy. This near-death experience was the catalyst for my spiritual awakening and learning about different healing modalities. I started addressing relationship patterns and healing the relationship I had with myself.

Do you think your past relationships have helped you curate how you help others?

100%. Everything that I guide my clients through, I have personally healed and integrated for myself. From trust issues, attachment dynamics to abandonment trauma. Everything I share comes from real-life experience (negative, positive, etc.).

Do you recommend people who believe they are in solid and grounded relationships to come to see you?

If your relationship has a good foundation of trust, communication, love, and respect with no major issues, congrats! But even the relationship that looks good on the outside can have its issues. If you feel like you’re not getting your needs met, aren’t feeling heard like you’re constantly having the same fight over and over, lines are being crossed and you’re not sure how to shift it, come talk to me.

Do you think relationship issues lie mostly in their past?

Absolutely. Each of us comes to the relationship with a “template” so to speak. It is compiled of all our conditioning, trauma, belief systems, and ideas about love and relationships. And whatever we’re carrying around, whatever it is that’s unhealed ends up being dumped into the relationship.

What about the present?

New variables might come into the mix that is out of our control (loss of a job, family stressors, children, etc.), but how we deal with them is usually based on the tools that we have in our ‘emotional toolbox.’

How in-depth are your sessions?

They can go pretty deep, actually. But it all depends on how in-depth a client is willing to go. I always respect a person’s boundaries but will be as transparent as possible in a kind way if I see something. A lot of our issues are hiding in our subconscious mind- behaviors, patterns etc. And sometimes all that’s needed is the awareness around it to heal it and change the behavior.

Did your journey in helping other people find self-love begins first with finding your own?

For the longest time, I wanted so badly to love and accept myself. I was so critical of myself and had a lot of negative self-talk. I used to feel so unlovable. It’s sad but true. People were always talking about self-love, but I didn’t know how to ‘get’ there. Through my own process of healing my self-worth, I learned what self-love and acceptance really mean. I was able to really lock in a logical and tangible way to heal and create a ‘formula’ so to speak.

Do you think you found self-love by helping others?

No, the self-love came from digging deep and addressing why I had such a low opinion of myself. Why I was willing to accept less. I had to heal myself first before I could help others. In the healing world, we always say you must heal from the scar, not the wound. Meaning you must heal first before you go helping others.

Did you always believe this would be something you saw yourself doing in the future, or did it just kind of come to you?

Absolutely not! If you would’ve told me 5 years ago that I would be teaching and healing others something I had been painfully and quietly suffering with for years, I never would’ve believed you. This kind of work is a force you can’t ignore. It’s a purpose that keeps nagging in your ear until you do something about it.

Did this career always correspond with what you thought you were going to be growing up?

Looking back, yes it makes sense. I was a hairstylist for 15 years and always had a gift for helping people see how beautiful they really are. So many of my clients said sitting in my chair was like a therapy session that you left feeling good about yourself afterward. I’ve always been able to see someone’s inner beauty and potential and bring that to the surface. Help them discover the unique beauty and highlight that for the world to see. And to be honest I think there’s nothing more powerful than a woman who feels beautiful in her own skin.

No matter what form of love complications her clients may have, Brianna first establishes where their inability to achieve happiness stems from so that they may begin with most importantly repairing self-worth. Whether that be past traumas, personal frustrations, or unsuccessful work/life experiences, Brianna highlights the way her clients show up in non-romantic relationships because they can often reflect their limitations within their relationships in general. Examining her clients’ old belief systems allows Brianna to focus on any client’s possible wounds from childhood, inherited family dynamics, or fear surrounding vulnerability.

Once Brianna examines their past, she helps her clients make peace with old wounds and break free from any self-sabotaging toxic patterns, guiding them on how to release fear and create the right conditions for a higher frequency of love. Brianna’s passion stems from her own personal experiences and growth, continuously evolving her ability to intuitively heal and help clients enter a fulfilling relationship and their most aligned love life ever. By fusing modern therapies and energetic healing modalities, her clients can discover their authentic self and rewrite their futures to achieve and experience the kind of relationships & love that we all desire.

Top Cat Breeds

Cats are an ideal low maintenance pet. On top of other benefits, their most alluring quality may be that they are lower maintenance and cost less than dogs, who need walking, training, grooming, and more toys and attention. Cats are also perfect for apartments and city living as they don’t make too much noise. If you’re ready to add a new furry feline to your family, then check out the 10 most popular cats to own now.

Ragdoll

With deep, penetrating eyes that are captivating and cause many people to fall in love, it is no surprise that Ragdoll cats are the most popular breed of feline in America. While most cats are known for being prissy, Ragdolls are very gentle pets that aren’t excitable, preferring to remain calm and affectionate, and are commonly compared to dogs for their loving devotion to their owners. They’ll even follow you around the house. One cool thing about these cats is that they start life pure white but will develop unique patterns and colors after a week or two.

Maine Coon

The largest of all house cats, the Maine Coon can grow to be 40 inches. They are often called “gentle giants” because they’re friendly and affectionate. For this reason, they are highly sought after and are more expensive compared to other breeds. An interesting fact about this breed is the first cloned cat was a Maine Coon named Little Nicky.

Bengal

Bengals have unique markings that make them look very similar to a tiny leopard which causes them to be one of the most famous and expensive cat breeds. Because of this, they look like fierce jungle felines, but are incredibly sweet family pets. Bengal cats are trainable, smart, athletic, fun to watch and play with, loyal, and love the water—all great traits for a family pet. They’re also vocal, communicative, and social with people. If they’re introduced early on to dogs or other cats in the home, they can bond well and socialize.

Siamese

Siamese cats make excellent pets, particularly if they fit in with your lifestyle preferences. They are active, playful, friendly, highly inquisitive, and intelligent. Siamese cats can even be taught to play fetch, give high fives, and even walk on a leash. If you have plenty of time to spend at home, then Siamese cats are an ideal choice.

British Shorthair

A playful, affectionate cat, the British Shorthair is fiercely loyal and a good companion for single people. Besides being treasured for their easygoing attitude, British shorthairs are beloved for their thick, dense coats that come in almost any color or pattern. Daily brushing of the British Shorthair is important, especially during seasonal changes when their coat is thickening or thinning.

Balinese

Slender and elegant, the Balinese cat is long and lean; they are muscular, yet not stocky. Balinese are known for their intelligence, their friendly and playful nature, and their striking beauty. They’re very amusing animals that are always outgoing. Balinese cats are known for being very talkative and demanding; expect yours to communicate with you about everything. These cats rarely stop being vocal and they’re very sensitive to your speaking as well. A harsh tone can instantly hurt their feelings. An interesting fact is the breed arose because of a spontaneous genetic mutation in pure bred Siamese cats that caused the cats to develop a longer coat type.

American Shorthair

A medium-sized cat with heavy bones, the American Shorthair is a breed that’s completely devoted to its owner. They are known to be gentle, sweet, and very tolerant. Additionally, they are incredibly adaptable animals that do great with other pets, making them one of the best felines for households that already have other pets. These cats have been around since settlers first femigrated to America from Europe.

Persian

With their trademark flat noses and woolly coats, Persian cats are undeniably distinctive. The Persian is a perfect companion pet as they are not super active but are very smart and even-tempered. Great with families and children, they love to lounge around the house and love to be fussed over, making for ideal lap cats. They also adapt well to new surroundings and are OK with busy or even boisterous households. They are perfect for a full house with active kids.

Tabby

Tabby cats make excellent pets for young owners because of their well-known friendly, cuddly, and social personalities. All domestic pet cats can make good family pets. However, the tabby cat is renowned as an especially great ‘first cat’ pet for kids. If you’re looking for a cat that’ll constantly be on your lap and wants to follow your every move, this could be the breed for you.

Russian Blue

If you are a first-time pet owner, or must work a lot, or have children who would like to have a pet, a Russian Blue kitten or cat might be a great choice. They are playful, entertaining, and beautiful. Russian Blue cats are curious but calm, affectionate but not clingy, and very smart. They can be shy at first, but they are playful and loving once they feel comfortable. While they are happy living with families and even other pets, Russian Blue cats tend to form a deep connection with only one person.

There are so many cat breeds out there and so many wonderful cats looking for homes. Consider adopting a feline friend to complete your family, whether you’re single or in a multi-children household. A furry companion can become a central heart to any home!

Willow Smith and Harry Hudson – X8 Eyewear

Gen Z Icons Willow Smith and Harry Hudson Unveil an Eyewear Collection – the First Project of X8

X8 is a new venture company building a creative hub for artists and avatars who will meet In Real Life (IRL) and The Metaverse.

Gen Z stars Willow Smith and Harry Hudson are the faces of X8 Eyewear, the brainchild of X8, a paradigm shifting, creative projects platform, and seed-stage venture fund based in New York, Seoul, and Singapore.

X8 Eyewear draws its inspiration from psychoanalyst Carl Jung‘s Animus and Anima, a theory in analytical psychology that describes the feminine and masculine duality of our unconscious minds.

X8 created a 23-piece collection that transcends gender labels with fluid cool oversize shapes and architectural flourishes.

“I was honored to join the X8 Anima/Animus campaign because I loved the messaging of gender fluidity and the duality of masculine and feminine energies that I believe exists inside every one of us. I had so much fun shooting this concept with my dear friend, Harry,” said Smith, who is an actress, singer-songwriter, and talk show host known for her progressive personal style.

“I was inspired by X8’s creative vision of two forces working together in harmony with one another. A lot of my music has been about balancing the light, dark and the masculine, feminine energy of life, so that idea of true duality really spoke to me and made me want to be a part of this campaign. Also, shooting with my friend and genius Willow was too much fun,” said Hudson, 21, a singer-songwriter famous for documenting his battle with cancer on social media.

While this is Smith and Hudson’s first foray into working with eyewear, it isn’t for X8, which was recently co-founded by Won Lee, the former CEO and CCO of Gentle Monster USA—the South Korean eyewear company—overseeing its rapid rise as one of the biggest eyewear brands in the world.

X8 is actively developing the X8 Neo-Circus (X8NC), a members-only creative hub/platform for artists, celebrities and influencers in Jeju, and Decentraland: the first decentralized metaverse. This will go hand in hand with a secret character-based NFT project driving the platform. All X8 products will be showcased and sold in X8NC—in both physical and digital forms.

X8 has collaborated with Xelpmoc Design & Technology, a BSE/NSE listed company (XELP:IN). They will join X8 to build X8M (X8 Metaverse) in India to develop and invest in technologies to scale the X8 proposition globally. The core team of X8M are Sandipan Chattopadhyay, Suman Bose and Monce C. Abraham. Sandipan is the founder and MD of Xelpmoc; the co-founder of MoneyControl; and the ex-CTO of Just Dial. Suman Bose—Director and Chief Evangelist at Xelpmoc—was the former Managing Director of Siemens Industry Software. Sandipan and Suman will spearhead the tech and investment strategies for X8M. Monce C. Abraham—Director at THEV—will be focusing on operations and growth strategies for X8M. Abraham, at 24 years of age, was the youngest individual ever to head Marketing and Research at IVCA (Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association).

X8’s mission is to empower those who dare to dismantle the past, unsettle the present, and create a new and more exciting world for all. “We do not think in boxes,” say Lee and Ra. The founders see a world which will be driven by cross-industry innovation where an electric car can be built from the ground-up. Such a universe brings together fashion/textiles design, digital art, sustainable materials science, AI tech, rocket science and automotive engineering and Metaverse gaming. “We are driven by a passion to discover the unknown and see the world through the eyes of the new generation and beyond. Today, we may be considered a special projects and venture capital company. Yet our vision is set on tomorrow. The future will define us.

X8’s venture fund is led by Lee-Woong Yeol, Honorable Chairman of Kolon Group, South Korea. A visionary, Lee has invested in a wide array of businesses and ideas with an intent to create a think-tank. He coalesces solutions, services and products of the future.
