CYM Releases “Karma,” First Single from Long-Awaited Second EP “Love CYM”

Today, rising R&B singer and songwriter CYM announced the release of her new single, “Karma.” The song was officially released on October 9th and will mark CYM’s first single from her upcoming EP, Love CYM set to launch late December 2019. It was produced by Grammy-winning duo Ayo N Keyz (Cardi B, Chris Brown, Jaden Smith).

“I am so excited about my new single ‘Karma’ and wanted to reconnect with my loyal fans while showing a different aspect of my creativity. I had the opportunity to work on this single with Ayo N Keyz to help me bring my vision for this song to life. The song is about pent up anger and frustration from a relationship that felt one-sided with no reciprocity. Writing this song was cathartic because it was coming from personal experience, and I know so many people can relate to moving on from bad relationships on to something better,” says CYM.

CYM first burst on the scene in the summer of 2016. Her infectious hit Bombs Away was released with much fanfare. The accompanying music/video received thousands of streams on YouTube and plays on Soundcloud as well as spins from radio stations around the country. The success of Bombs Away earned CYM an opening spot on Tory Lanez’, “I Told You” tour. Her debut album Shadows developed in collaboration with K Mack, Liana Banks, Yobo, J-Dot and Rocc featured songs inspired by her musical tastes. It possesses references to pop, R&B, Latin and Caribbean music. Critics praised CYM’s previous single, “Gun Play,” featuring Rich Homie Quan for its trap-infused beat with a twist of pop.

Ayo N Keyz asserts, “When we first heard CYM’s vocals on Shadows, we knew she had something different to offer. Few talents today have the ability to fuse musical genres with such ease. When the opportunity presented itself to collaborate on Love CYM, we jumped on it. We were thrilled to be part of the process and can’t wait for people to hear this exciting new sound.” For more information, please follow @iamcym on Instagram.

4 Big Automotive Trends on the Horizon in 2020

Another year is almost over. While that may make you want to look in the mirror a little bit less every day, it also means more progress. Especially in the increasingly high-tech automotive world, drivers are continuing to get more and more toys to play with. And that is something we all can celebrate.

The big evolution for most vehicles in recent years have come from technological advances. While we will see more of the same in 2020, those aren’t the only changes on the horizon. Consumers are also being affected by economic, mindset, and environmental factors and these motivations are only going to accelerate in the year ahead.

With all this in mind, we present four of the hottest auto trends that you will see in 2020.

1. Automation Features

We haven’t quite reached the age of actual self-driving vehicles — at least not yet. But many of the top carmakers are working hard on the problem, and they have already started to roll out driver assist features that put more and more control into the hands of robots and automated systems. From self-parking and lane changing to “adaptive” cruise control and roadway danger alerts, this movement has already come a long way. And you should only expect more smart features in the year to come.

2. Connectivity and Devices

Twenty years ago, the only question most drivers had was “what’s under you hood?” That is still important for spec lovers and bragging rights, but consumers are increasingly starting to ask “what gadgets do you got?” Connectivity and the Internet of Things will continue to bring high-tech to the driver’s seat in 2020. As new models are introduced, we will keep seeing better personal assistants, entertainment features, navigation options, and other devices.

3. Buying for Value

After all the economic uncertainty of recent years, people are now coming around to the fact that newer isn’t always better. When deciding where to spend their hard-earned money, they now realize that the premium for a current-year model often amounts to throwing a way a lot of money. This doesn’t mean buying old junk, but there are so many great options out there from recent years. This is motivating consumers to first look for a lightly used luxury car to reap savings while still enjoying the finer things in life. Then they simply add a car service contract warranty option — with features like roadside assistance, repair discounts, and rental car reimbursement — to add a little bit of peace of mind.

4. Going Electric

While Tesla continues to face delays, pricing changes, and other difficulties in bringing its vision to market, there remains strong momentum for electric and hybrid vehicles. This is being driven as much by environmental concerns across the globe as the convenience of never having to fill up and spend money on gas. And as charging stations only become more widespread, expect to keep seeing more people riding electric.

Gearing Up for 2020 — and Beyond

People love their cars, trucks, and vehicles. This is so ingrained in our mentality that it is almost a core part of the American psyche. That will probably never change — next year or 50 years down the line.

But lots of other trends will continue to impact how drivers choose their automobiles in 2020 and the years to come. Over the next 12 months, expect to see greater development and deployment of automated features, a larger priority placed on in-vehicle devices and connectivity, more consumers opting for value over that new car smell, and the ongoing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) both in the United States and throughout the world.

When you’re cruising down the road in a car you love, it just feels different. That feeling isn’t going anywhere. It will be as true as ever even as all these new trends come and go.

Album Review: Reggae Ambassadors Third World ‘More Work To Be Done’ Produced by Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley

From the first to last track the body of work is perfection and deserving of any accolades and most definitely a GRAMMY nod!

Within seconds of the first song, the musical layout hooks you and sets your ears and mind for a well deserved Grammy for best reggae album of 2019. YimMasGan by all accounts is a cover of the legendary Abyssinians, but THIRD WORLD has not only done justice to the song, but they somewhat managed to keep the essence and purity of the reggae track yet made it fit their distinctive style, there is no denying that it’s a THIRD WORLD track. Added bonus for music heads, although Cat Coore has many memorable solo’s in his arsenal, these two will forever remain engraved in my music memory.

The various collaborations and features were cleverly chosen as they each bridge various generations while catering to Dancehall, Pop and Reggae aficionado. Added to the top of my personal playlist is “Island Dreams” featuring Third World, Tessanne Chin & Tarrus Riley. The smoothness of the song makes it the perfect track. The music and lyrics melt your soul, the rugged gritty tone of Taurrus perfectly blend with the intoxicatingly smooth vocals of Tessane Chin. “Na Na Na” feat. Chronixx is yet another single that will stand up against the best, Chronixx new reggae resurgence strength and THIRD WORLD’s enduring traditional sound resonates powerfully.  “Feel Good” feat. Busy Signal does exactly what the title boasts, “You’re Not the Only One” feat. Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley), one word CLASSIC, and “People of a Different Color with Pressure Busspipe offers a universal appeal through the lyrics and rhythm. Not only are the lyrics deeply honest, but the delivery evokes such powerful imagery and feeling that it could strictly be poetry.

Varying between driving roots reggae riffs, mellow rhythms and riding constant, captivating bass lines,  “MORE WORK TO COME” well rounded body of work is an important part in music history by continuing to spread what is considered the most revolutionary, yet peaceful and ground-breaking music.

Produced by Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, the maestro managed to keep the essence of THIRD WORLD distinctive “Bunny Rugs” era, while balancing the honorable legacy of AJ Brown, this “MORE WORK TO BE DONE” album does something very few can, it bridges tradition and millennial in harmony, indeed THIRD WORLD Keeps Turning!

NOAH CYRUS TO PERFORM AT SPACE 15TWENTY IN LOS ANGELES IN SUPPORT OF MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

DEBUTS APPAREL COLLECTION IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CRYSTAL CAMPAIGN

100% OF PROCEEDS TO GO TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THE JED FOUNDATION

THE LONELY COLLECTION

In honor of World Mental Health Day, RECORDS/Columbia Records artist Noah Cyrus will be performing an acoustic set at Los Angeles’ Space 15Twenty on Saturday, October 19 in partnership with The Crystal Campaign. “A LONELY ACOUSTIC SESSION” will feature Cyrus performing songs for fans and friends, followed by a Q&A and discussion about mental health.

Today, Noah Cyrus also launched The LONELY Collection, in collaboration with The Crystal Campaign. Cyrus will donate 100% of her proceeds in support of non-profit organization The Jed Foundation, which protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. Mental health issues are the leading cause of disability worldwide, and cases of anxiety, depression, and suicide have risen sharply in the last decade.

The LONELY Collection, which features a soirée of metaphysical icons and cartoon symbols alongside The Crystal Campaign’s hallmark earth-stone definitions, will include premium sweatshirts and sweatpants creatively designed by Cyrus. The capsule weaves delicately into Noah’s long- standing affinity toward mental health issues in her music, and the challenges they pose for young people in today’s increasingly globalized world. An advocate herself, Cyrus spoke candidly about mental health awareness on an expert panel with Lauv and The Jed Foundation last week – the apparel collection is inspired by her latest single, “Lonely.”

The event tomorrow is presented by The Crystal Campaign, mental health advocacy organization on a mission to make mental health as important and common as physical health. The unique event will open with a crystal healing meditation by Unplug guru and author Megan Monahan. Past talent featured in the campaign includes Pharrell Williams, Willow Smith, J Balvin, and Gigi Gorgeous. “We are intentionally leveraging everyday platforms of fashion, entertainment, and technology to create a global conversation to remove the stigma of mental health,” says campaign CEO Andrei Najjar.” Urban Outfitters has also partnered with the Crystal Campaign with 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of the Pendant Necklace going toward mental health advocacy and direct relief efforts in support of the non-profit organization To Write Love On Her Arms.

The release of the collection falls in tandem with the global online rollout of The Crystal Campaign’s Pendant Necklace with Urban Outfitters. To support the releases, The Crystal Campaign will be holding “A LONELY ACOUSTIC SESSION” at venue Space 15Twenty in Los Angeles starring Noah Cyrus. The Pendant Necklace launched at Urban Outfitters in honor of World Mental Health Day on Thursday, October 10th, and Noah Cyrus’ apparel collection is available from today HERE.

“The Jed Foundation is thrilled to partner with The Crystal Campaign and Noah Cyrus to raise awareness about mental health and to encourage more dialogue about these important issues,“ shared Katie Cunningham, JED’s Chief Programs and Operations Officer.

The Crystal Campaign aims to connect 1 million people with mental health resources within its first year. According to CEO Andrei Najjar, “We are intentionally leveraging everyday platforms of fashion, entertainment, and technology to create a global conversation and remove the stigma of mental health, while funding resources that directly help people.” TCC will continue a global rollout of fashion and entertainment partnerships and expand its digital magazine to erase the stigma surrounding mental health.

Noah Cyrus’ latest release ‘Lonely’ was accompanied by the stunning video co-directed by Symone Ridgell and Noah herself. The video features choir members sourced by The Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Music Program, and perfectly encapsulates the heart wrenching isolation and need for human connection that the song – penned by Noah – so beautifully conveys.

“It’s about vulnerability, trauma and dropping your facade, but also about human connection and finding strength among others (one of the many reasons it felt particularly powerful to work with the Los Angeles LGBT Center).”  Co-director Symone Ridgell reveals. “Lyrically, Noah’s music is always strikingly raw, and for this song, a video that reflects that is the only kind that could be justified to accompany it.” Noah elaborates: “Sometimes there can be dozens of people around you but you still feel lonely. I wanted the video to show what it could really feel like.”

Watch the video for ‘Lonely’ HERE.

This summer, 19-year-old Noah Cyrus returned with her timeless single ‘July,’ which continues to gain momentum globally, approaching 40-million combined global streams to date, the track is currently the cover of Spotify’s esteemed Pop Rising Playlist and has climbed to an average of 2 million streams per week on Spotify alone. Watch the music video for ‘July’ HERE.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN × NE-YO

AIM FOR THE SOUL WITH NEW ‘BALANCE’ COLLAB: ‘UNLOVE YOU

Just one week before the release of Armin van Buuren’s seventh artist album, a huge collab emerges as the most recent single to come off of ‘Balance’. A monumental link-up with none other than R&B/pop superstar NE-YO, ‘Unlove You’ sees the seminal artists explore the subject of a recognizable post-breakup dilemma in their own unique way.

A collaboration as eye-popping as it is ear-catching, ‘Unlove You’ delivers its lyrical message with pinpoint accuracy whilst sporting a club-tinged groove that can do no wrong. With killers vocals, pounding beats and recognizable lyrics that aim straight for the soul, this track shows that being open-minded unlocks a whole new world of possibilities. The track was also produced by award-winning producers Jesse ‘Corporal’ Wilson and Tearce Kizzo.

Armin van Buuren: “Part of the beauty of having no limitations at all in the studio is that I get to work with the most talented people no matter what ‘genre’ they’re in, and NE-YO is no exception. It’s an honor to have worked together. We both built a legacy in our own respective scenes, and I’m grateful we were able to bridge the gap between them through ‘Unlove You’.”

NE-YO: “I already loved this song because of its subject matter, as it’s familiar territory. But Armin’s musical interpretation takes it to a whole other level. The energy is contagious!”

Throughout his more than a decade long career, NE-YO has proven himself to be as powerful with his pen as he is in the recording studio and on stage. The Las Vegas native, born Shaffer Smith, quickly became known as a go-to hitmaker, penning bangers like Rihanna’s ‘Unfaithful’, ‘Russian Roulette’ and ‘Take a Bow’, Beyonce’s 2006 breakup anthem ‘Irreplaceable’, and Mario’s sugary breakout single ‘Let Me Love You’. His first single, 2005’s ‘So Sick’, soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and was certified quadruple platinum. Since then, the triple Grammy winner has racked up a collection of hits, including stream bombs such as ‘Sexy Love’, ‘Closer’, ‘Because of You’ and ‘Miss Independent’.

Prior to the release of the full ‘Balance’ album on October 25, Armin van Buuren already released a handful of new tracks from the album. Previously, fans got a taste of the album through ‘Waking Up With You’ (feat. David Hodges), ‘Mr. Navigator’ (with Tempo Giusto), ‘It Could Be’ (with Inner City), ‘High On Your Love’ (feat. James Newman), ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ (feat. Matluck) and ‘All Comes Down’ (feat. Cimo Fränkel). And now, with the release of ‘Unlove You’ and the fact that there are only seven days to come until the album launch, the wait is almost over.

Maryland bred singer-songwriter Landon Cube releases his new video and track “Pretty” feat. 24KGoldn today.

Listen to “Pretty” feat. 24KGoldn: HERE

The Nicholas-Jandora directed video is a nostalgic visual that plays on the “pretty” title of the song, as Landon Cube and 24KGoldn spend a day getting pampered, creating a new look for themselves.

The track follows the release of Landon’s EP Orange, which has garnered over 9 million streams since its release. The EP features previously released tracks “20,” “17,” “Nuisance” and “Makeup,” which received over 1 million streams in the first month of its release. Both tracks came after his previously released tracks “Round n Round” feat. Sprite Lee (15+ million streams), “Drive My Car” (14+ million streams) and “19” (9+ million streams). He also appeared on Lil Skies’ “Nowadays” and “Red Roses,” which both garnered over 250 million streams individually.

There’s a poignant yet feel-good vibe that makes 21-year-old recording artist Landon Cube’s sound infectious. The Southern Maryland native has a diverse history within music, punctuated by his versatile catalog. With Landon’s new single “Makeup,” the young star on the rise is geared to level up to the next chapter in his career. At 16, he made the firm decision that music was his chosen trajectory and once he graduated high school, he dropped his introductory cut “Euphoria.” His participation with local viral video crew Cufboys added fuel to the fire, as Landon began galvanizing a fan base through his laid-back authenticity and knack for melding sounds. Through Cufboys he met burgeoning star Lil Skies, as the two joined forces on cuts like “Red Roses” and “Nowadays,” the former impressively hitting one million streams in less than a month. It wasn’t long before Landon was Los Angeles bound and continued his upward mobility as an artist, ultimately joining the Republic Records roster. Landon Cube, who already has over 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, has already secured a solid following based upon his honest and heartfelt music, and the next phase in his career will bring more of that to the forefront.

WENGIE’S NEW VID

POP STAR WENGIE SLAYS IN NEW TRACK AND MUSIC VIDEO “EMPIRE”

YouTube’s sensation teams up with K-pop superstar MINNIE of (G)I-DLE and they’re not playing around

One of YouTube’s most-subscribed stars, WENGIE, has collaborated with K-pop recording artist MINNIE of (G)I-DLEon her latest single ‘Empire.’ The dynamic duo’s powerhouse vocals make for a sweet serenade that bites back as the bass kicks in. It’s a girl-power anthem backed by sickening trap-style beats. The song will have listeners inspired to build their own empires, brick by brick. Four official versions of the song: English, Hybrid (English and Korean), Korean, and instrumental are all released today worldwide on digital streaming platforms.

The music video embodies a smooth synergy between sweetness and slay, a perfect combination of girlboss swag and those iconic K-pop visuals. WENGIE emerges from the dark into the light, wearing a crown on her head. MINNIE joins her on screen as they serve looks that can only be described as being fit for a queen. The video closes out with an image of WENGIE, sitting on her throne, ready to rule her empire. The video was shot in Seoul, Korea and comes to life from Korean production company GRAVITAS, choreographers are Bailey Sok and Seoyoung Jang, and creative direction by Amber Park.

WENGIE’s production team consists of top global hit-makers and songwriting duo — Melanie Fontana and Lindgren. The track is written by the award-winning songwriters (Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, BTS, and more) who co-wrote “Boy With Luv” for BTS featuring Halsey and “Crown” for TXT, which broke the record for the most YouTube views in 24 hours for a K-pop debut.

Listen to Empire by WENGIE featuring MINNIE of (G)I-DLE

Watch Empire by WENGIE featuring MINNIE of (G)I-DLE

WENGIE: “This song was all about empowerment for me. Sometimes, women forget just how capable they really are, including me. The song is a reminder to myself and girls everywhere that we run the show. I wanted to make a statement and who better to do that with than MINNIE?”

MINNIE: “I fell in love with EMPIRE as soon as I listened to it. It is fresh and new for me since (G)I-DLE has never tried this kind of music before. I especially love the lyrics that talk about achieving success ‘from the dirt to sky for the world to see’”.

Superstar MINNIE is the main vocalist for (G)I-DLE, a South-Korean multinational girl group formed by powerhouse CUBE Entertainment. The group’s breakout hit “LATATA” which has recently surpassed 133 million views, has become an instant hit and landing a music show win on South Korea MTV’s The Show within a month of debuting.
