Andy Mineo × Lecrae

In the midst of his “The Return To Never Land” Tour Andy Mineo got the call he’d been waiting for. The world will finally get to see his new music video for “Been About It,” ft Lecrae! With his Never Land II album critically acclaimed with over 7 million streams in 1 week, Andy Mineo, is poised for crossover success.

After 80 million streams from their viral hit, “Coming In Hot,” fans were looking forward to a follow-up project with Andy Mineo and Lecrae. With the momentum built, Mineo hit producer, Sak Pase, producer of “Coming In Hot,” for another banger.

The “Been About It” video features recreation of the album artwork of the most famous hip-hop albums ever released.

“Been About It is a homage to the music that raised me. An homage to the culture and the creators who paved a way for hip hop to be a global phenomenon that I get to be a part of,” shares Andy. “We’ve lost so many iconic hip-hop artists in the past few years and sadly, we wait until people die to give them their props! Lecrae and I recorded this song and a dope video to pay tribute to the artists who have impacted hip-hop and inspired us!”

His partner-in-rhyme, Lecrae adds, “Andy and I are products of Hip Hop. These are some of the albums that shaped our childhood. I especially loved remaking the Tupac album cover. He was iconic.”

The first time the public saw the “Been About It” video was at the Atlanta private VIP listening session. The day before the album release, Lecrae and Andy traversed the Atlanta Beltline, playing the Never Land II album for random people while capturing reactions to the original “Been About It” video. At a VIP meet-and-greet during “The Return To Never Land II” tour, Andy privately showed snippets from the video.

The reactions from everyday people on the belt-line and the texts he received from influencers and media friends were so energizing.

Today Andy Mineo & Lecrae are proud to share their love letter to hip-hop, the artists and the creatives who are keeping the culture alive! You can find some of these memorable album covers recreated in the “Been About It” video:

Willow Kayne shares high-energy single – I Don’t Wanna Know

Please meet UK pop provocateur Willow Kayne, who has shared her new single “I Don’t Wanna Know” today. Listen here at all DSPs.

After releasing a slew of independent singles, Willow signed with Sony this year and released her major label debut single “2 Seater” just a few months back to buzz and acclaim, even receiving early love from BBC Radio 1. Now, the 19 year old is throwing her hat in the ring as one of the most vivid, genre-blurring pop provocateurs in music today. A keen visual artist with influences as far-reaching as fashion design giant Nigo and production mastermind Pharrell, she pools together the most lucid touchpoints of all her inspirations to build a sound as diverse as her creative palette. Willow can trace this eclecticism directly back to her childhood, being raised by a hip-hop and house-obsessed father and a mother who produced videos for the likes of Erasure and the Prodigy. James Brown, Nas, and MF DOOM were all significant early influences, and soon she was making her own musical discoveries, falling hard for artists as diverse as Tyler The Creator, the Sex Pistols, Gorillaz, and Portishead.

Teaming up with UK hitmaker Oscar Scheller, “I Don’t Wanna Know” takes all of the attitude Willow has started to become synonymous with and ramps it up to 11 – taking cues from the old school rave culture that she is obsessed with by sticking a middle finger up to trolls over a drum & bass indebted production. It’s a high energy example of just how unpredictable a talent Willow is, and how easy she makes it look; the track is packed with hilarious one-liners that cut those who have bullied her online to size. An empowering anthem that deals with real life issues with a sense of confidence that feels refreshing in the landscape of pop today. The official video, along with a debut project and a HUGE announcement are all coming soon…

“A sizzling rallying-call from the Bristol-based artist all about living your own life and doing your own thing, ‘Two Seater’ blends rap verses with 90s-tinged pop influences, resulting in an instantly catchy debut.” – DIY Magazine

The early 2022 North American tour announcement follows a string of recent Australian shows for the duo. The Sydney Morning Herald praised the fantastical show, declaring “The Avalanches deliver a sample of heaven they united The Bowl by focusing on the enduring power of voices in a hive-mind two-man DJ set on an almighty sound system.” Double J agreed noting, “Armed with an array of synths and samplers, Robbie Chater and Tony DiBlasi piece together a glorious, cohesive set that serves as an emotional journey any Avalanches fan should be pleased to take.” In 2017, The Avalanches played their first-ever live shows in America, which included two mesmerizing sets at Coachella that landed in The Los Angeles Times Best Coachella Performances and Rolling Stone’s 15 Best Things We Saw At Coachella.

The Avalanches recently commemorated the 20 anniversary of their ground-breaking debut album, Since I Left You, with the release of a deluxe edition featuring numerous bonus tracks including fresh mixes from such artists as MF Doom, Black Dice, Leon Vynehall, Sinkane and Carl Craig. The anniversary edition, which just hit No. 1 on the NACC Electronic college radio chart, is available now in vinyl, CD and digital formats HERE. The release and subsequent touring in support of Since I Left You was followed by a 16-year radio silence, which was broken with the release of The Avalanches sophomore album, Wildflower (Astralwerks), which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart and atop the Australian Albums chart in 2016. Their third album, We Will Always Love You (Astralwerks), was awarded four stars byRolling Stone and won the prestigious 2020 Australian Music Prize. Following the release of We Will Always Love You, The Avalanches performed a very special live streamed DJ set on the rooftop of iconic Melbourne institution Curtin House. Swedish born, London raised artist Oliver Malcolm delivers his debut solo effort — new single “Switched Up” (released on Darkroom/Interscope Records). The efficacious single blurs the lines of hip hop, alternative and R&B showcasing the twenty-year old’s pension for genre blending production and songwriting. “Switched Up” was offered with an equally dynamic visual directed by Jess Kohl in collaboration with Oliver himself — watch now!

Oliver Malcolm began his musical endeavor early, teaching himself how to spin records at 12 years old. Shortly after, he downloaded a cracked version of Logic and taught himself how to produce, which would turn into working with IDK, MF Doom, Joey Bada$$, Jay Rock, Masego, Tinashe and more. Now 20, Oliver has developed his own voice and songwriting ability. Touching everything from the production, vocals, songwriting, engineering, mixing and mastering, Oliver’s sound is unique and does not fit the mold of one genre. A multidisciplinary at heart, this is just the beginning of what music lovers can look forward to from the new artist.
