Billboard: “Shanghai-based Pop and Dance Music Prodigy”

COMPLEX: “Rapidly Rising”

After four years of polishing, the all-around producer Chace’s first personal album the thought-provoking and psychedelic “Belated Suffocation” is out now via Astralwerks / Fabled Records. Listen HERE.

“Belated Suffocation” chronicles his creation and thoughts under this present time. It contains diversified electronic music styles with a complete conceptual framework and shows the multi-dimensional color of Chace. Filled with hypnotic production, bouncy beats, and magnetic vocals, Chace proves he’s in it for the long-haul. It contains recent singles “Mariya” and “In My Head.” From the lyrics, music creation, vocals, to the production behind the scenes, Chace does it all.

“46 Step” is the first prelude of the album. It lays the keynote for the whole album with mystery, announces the return of Chace, and opens the album with his unique personality.

“Cinematic” is one of the main tracks of the album. In his creation, Chace constantly surpasses himself, breaks through his original strength, plays the role of MV director for the first time, and participates in the production behind the scenes. The track explores the transition between virtuality and reality. The narrative texture of the film creates his own chace-house style.

“Mariya” is the centerpiece and heart and soul of his debut album. In the process of creation, Chace continues to surpass and challenge himself. “Mariya” continues the mysterious tone of the album’s previous singles and focuses on the track’s mood and psychedelic atmosphere. Chace still arranges the music, writes the lyrics, sings and produces everything himself.

Chace, Zhu Yihan, China’s hottest talented music producer, received global attention early on and became the first Chinese DJ to take the stage at iconic Belgian electronic music festival Tomorrowland. He is currently the guest music director of the new music program at the world’s leading hotel brand, W Hotel. Since releasing his debut EP Destination, Chace’s music – a delirious mix of evocative house, UK garage, and pop – has earned him praise from tastemakers across the world. Billboard dubbed him a “pop and dance music prodigy,” COMPLEX called him a “Rapidly rising producer,” and VICE stated that he’s “The face of China’s rising EDM scene.”

Following years of industry experience as a producer, DJ and band member, Chase established the HOWSHOOD label in 2019, and the MontiArk label last year, both of which are at the center of domestic electronic music. In the summer of 2020, Chace formed the Mandarin rock band with two friends, and with the band’s original album and members opened their first national tour with the theme of “Echo.” In 2021, Chase was named DJ MAG CHINA AWARDS Producer of the Year.

Today Chinese electronic producer/singer-songwriter, Chace releases the brooding track “Mariya” off his forthcoming debut album. “Mariya” comes with an accompanying eerie visual
“Mariya” continues to tease the overall mysterious tone of the album following the previous single
In My Head.” It contains a mood rendering and psychedelic inducing tonality. On “Mariya” Chace does it all. He arranged the music, wrote the lyrics, and sings and producers on it.

The whole song shows the charm of “Mariya” from the central perspective of the suitor seen in the video. The deep and magnetic voice creates an empty and blurred atmosphere with the bouncing light.

With each track, Chace continues to pave his way as one of the forerunners of a forward-thinking generation of artists in Asia melding Western influences with their own sounds. A self-taught producer and songwriter, he has collaborated with TchamiYellow Claw, and Moksi. When he was 17 years old, he became the first Chinese DJ to play Belgium’s iconic Tomorrowland festival in 2017. thuy – i hope u see this (deluxe)

Vietnamese singer-songwriter thuy (pronounced twee) released the deluxe edition of her critically-acclaimed debut EP, i hope u see this. The fourteen-track project is a reflection of thuy‘s truth, unraveling the complexities of love through a utopia of harmonies that spotlight heartbreak, love, empowerment, and self-confidence. i hope u see this (deluxe) introduces five more reasons as to how thuy is paving the future for modern R&B in her own right.

“The deluxe project is a continuation of the theme that I’m closing the door on the past in order to enter a new chapter in my life,” thuy said with excitement about the deluxe EP.

i hope u see this (deluxe) is a cohesive body of work that celebrates thuy‘s innate musicality. It’s a consistent approach, meant to be played in any setting that honors emotion. Songs like “distance between us” prove that thuy’s regaining control over those overwhelming thoughts and unwanted feelings that have sapped her energy over the years. Her smooth vocals permeate the work, flirting over bouncy percussion that grinds into a catchy hook with “inhibitions” featuring P-Lo

When trying to make sense of thuy, you’re introduced to a fiery songstress that’s capable of making the best out of a bad situation. “in my bag” featuring Destiny Rogers channels those elements of misfortune into a deeper meaning that encourages listeners to remain focused in the face of adversity.  Diving deeper into the remix, thuy explains, “the ‘in my bag’ remix with Destiny Rogers is a major women empowerment anthem and that’s why I knew I wanted to get another female artist on it. Destiny Rogers was the perfect feature for this remix; she just exudes confidence and drive. I wanted to really embody the idea that women can be bosses and to never count us out of anything because we always come out on top!”

About Thuy

thuy is a recording artist and songwriter who marked her debut in 2015 with her first radio record, “Hands on Me”. Having amassed over 150 million streams and garnered support from premier publications including Billboard, Rolling Stones, Paper, VIBE, Harper’s Bazaar, Lyrical Lemonade, MTV, NBC, Flaunt, and more thuy is setting herself apart in the pop R&B scene.

As a Vietnamese-American recording artist, thuy was featured in Paper’s first feature on Southeast Asian-American artists, highlighting how the rising artist has “carved out a space for herself both within and beyond the community of self-made Asian-American musical artists that have emerged in the streaming era.”2021 marked a turning point for thuy, who released her debut EP: i hope u see this. The project shares a beautiful and introspective collection of records touching on heartbreak, love, empowerment, and self-confidence. Through the project, thuy hopes that her music continues to inspire confidence in others and to be a voice for those who want to feel seen.

Peter Manos makes a brief appearance in 360 MAGAZINE

Peter Manos Performance

Peter Manos releases incredible live performance video, Do You Turn Red? (Short Film). Peter’s debut EP, Do You Turn Red?, was just released earlier this month to critical acclaim including The New York Times, Wonderland, FLAUNT Magazine and more. His debut single “In My Head” has 300+ million streams and was named a ‘Song You Need To Know’ by Rolling Stone.

The six songs were shot in different outdoor settings around Lancaster, CA – a town located 70 miles north of downtown Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley region of the western Mojave Desert. While bisected by a freeway, the area still abounds with rugged, open spaces. Over the decades, it has drawn a long succession of fearless dreamers – from Southern Pacific railroad workers to gold and borax miners to flight test pilots like Chuck Yaeger, Space Shuttle crews and solar energy pioneers.

Peter Manos Do You Turn Red? Visual

Peter Manos – Do You Turn Red?

Peter Manos’ debut EP – Do You Turn Red? – was released today by Capitol Records. Manos will perform the EP’s songs live tomorrow, July 16, on Instagram. Do You Turn Red? contains six tracks recorded in his L.A. home studio – including his new single, “Tennessee,” which has already amassed over one million streams plus Manos’ 2017 debut single, “In My Head.”

View the trailer for Do You Turn Red? here and download / stream the EP here. Do You Turn Red? is also available for pre-order in cassette and opaque blue vinyl editions. For further details, visit Manos’ website at petermanos.com.

“Peter Manos is your new favorite indie R&B singer,” said Flaunt in this feature. “His lyrics encapsulate everything from loss and loneliness to hope and happiness, recalling beautiful memories and meaningful conversations.”

Manos made “In My Head” in his dorm room at Nashville’s Belmont University. A buddy who helped him record warned him, “Remember, people’s first songs don’t usually do anything,” yet “In My Head” found its way onto numerous playlists, from Spotify’s Pop Rising all the way to Today’s Top Hits. Combined global streams of the track now top 300 million.

Do You Turn Red? is both a guidepost pointing toward what may come and a snapshot of this moment. Here is Manos at the front of his career, full of ideas, and all of them tangibly intimate. He has a knack for carving out his own space within something familiar, as these songs make clear. His taste dovetails perfectly with his skills as a one-stop shop singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and producer. There’s the slyly sexy groove topped by his delicate falsetto on “You Don’t Know Me.” There’s the hypnotic cascade of guitar and odd samples that underpin “Zach’s Ballad.” And the way that “At Night” starts as a solitary psych-soul excursion but ends in a hail of live drums and ghostly oohs. “Do You Turn Red?” arrives after five songs of blue mood like a sudden rush of blood. It plays like a confession and feels as raw. Taken with his lyrics – equal parts diaristic share and poetic scrawl – it all feels deeply personal.
