Art of Hope: Robin Thicke, Fine Art and VIP Miami Crowd Rally for Rhonda’s Kiss Cancer Benefit During Art Basel
On December 3rd, a VIP Miami crowd came out to support Cancer Nonprofit Rhonda’s Kiss annual Fall event held at a gorgeous private waterside estate in Miami Beach, hosted by film director Danny A. Abeckaser and Rhonda’s Kiss executive director/film producer Kyle Stefanski, along with chairman Marc Stefanski. The evening in partnership with Haykoff Gallery, Haute Jets and Haute Living, took place to benefit Cleveland Clinic of Florida, specifically its Cancer Patient Care program. Grammy-nominated music artist Robin Thicke wowed the crowd with a surprise performance of his hit song Magic in theme with the night’s purpose, and DJ music was curated poolside by Yissel.
Other notable attendees included actor Harry Goodwins from Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen on Netflix.
The Art of Hope Event to Benefit Rhonda’s Kiss Cancer Nonprofit, Art Basel edition, also featured the incredible art works of Simon Ourian, led by renowned art dealer Bella Haykoff of Haykoff Gallery. The impressive estate welcomed 100 curated VIP guests with a night featuring cuisine stations by renowned sushi chef, aka The Sushi Legend, Sushi Yasu Takana, Italian cuisine spread by Eataly, and Dear Caviar, plus La Vela espresso cart. Featured liquor partners of the night included El Cristiano Tequila, Stateside Vodka and Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer, along with wine and champagne selections.
The evening included presentations, a surprise performance by Robin Thicke, silent and live auction, featuring artwork by actor Emile Hirsch and Blake Barrios of Rebellium Wines, and more. This annual Fall charity fundraiser for Rhonda’s Kiss Cancer Nonprofit, a registered 501c3, supports cancer patients with all non-medical expenses such as childcare, transportation, wigs, rent, mortgage payments, groceries, utilities, holistic therapy, family therapy, ambulance costs, and much more, all part of the Cancer Patient Care Program. Partners in other cities includeCity of Hope, Cedar Sinai, Brooklyn Maimonides, and Cleveland Clinic (Florida and Ohio).
Haute Living and Haute Jets also partnered with the event for the evening, and highlighted their new alignment with Slate Private Jets, a new shuttle service from South Florida to New York, and auctioned off two flights during the evening.

It’s no secret that the New York Times Games has many famous fans, from professional basketball players creating their own gameplay tournaments to actors creating their own Crosswords.
Now, for the first time, New York Times Games is joining forces with some of its most dedicated celebrity puzzlers, including actor Chris Perfetti, actress Lola Tung and her puzzle pal, Jazz singer Laufey, and reality television friends Luann de Lesepps and SonjaMorgan, to launch a multi-game leaderboard.
Providing an even easier way to connect over the delight of puzzling, the brand-new leaderboard allows solvers to showcase daily triumphs and fuel friendly rivalries across Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee, and The Mini Crossword.

Legendary artist YOSHIKI headlined the “Hegra Candlelit Classics” concert on November 20 at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hegra in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, marking both his first full performance since cervical spine surgery and a historic milestone as the first Japanese artist to perform among the ancient ruins.
The performance served as a powerful symbol of cultural exchange as Japan and Saudi Arabia commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations. Members of the Saudi royal family, the Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, international dignitaries, and fans from around the world witnessed the momentous event, with many describing themselves as “overwhelmed” and “moved to tears.”

Hegra, an ancient necropolis built approximately 2,000 years ago and Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, has hosted only world-class artists, including Andrea Bocelli and Ludovico Einaudi. Under the glow of thousands of candles, YOSHIKI’s piano resonated through the historic silence, creating a magical atmosphere that captivated all in attendance.
During “Kurenai,” the ruins bathed in crimson light produced a breathtaking fusion of history and music. “This place gave me a strong inspiration,” YOSHIKI reflected, before debuting his new composition “Larmes” (French for “tears”). The 12-song set also featured “The Seine”, completed in August, alongside iconic works including “Endless Rain” and “Art of Life.
Unprecedented Musical Dialogue
A highlight came when YOSHIKI performed with world-renowned trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, delivering a surprise rendition of their new song “AlUla,” arranged just hours before the show. The piano-trumpet dialogue against the backdrop of ancient ruins mesmerised the audience.
“I am truly honored to be here,” said YOSHIKI, noting that the performance fell on his birthday, a detail that added personal significance to the historic occasion.
Cultural Bridge Between Nations
The day before the concert, YOSHIKI participated in “Yoshiki at AlUla Music Hub,” a talk session officially recognized by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the 70th anniversary commemoration. Discussions focused on strengthening ties between Japan and Saudi Arabia through music, art, and culture.
“I am here today because of everyone,” YOSHIKI expressed after the concert, reaffirming music’s power to transcend borders. The evening marked both a watershed moment and the beginning of a new chapter in YOSHIKI’s legacy as a bridge between cultures.

At the heart of the neighborhood, an interactive carousel will serve as the immersive centerpiece, while hundreds of colorful orbs embedded with flora- and fauna-inspired figures are suspended throughout MDD’s trees, creating a magical atmosphere.
