ABOUT YEAT: 

Low-fi melodies, clever cutting lyrics, and a distinctly mysterious persona are all highlights that build up the enigma that is Yeat, one of the most interesting rises in music. The prolific rapper broke through in 2021 when his song “Gët Busy” began appearing in TikTok videos. The track became so ubiquitous that it caught the attention of heavyweight rappers, including Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, and many more. As his fame skyrocketed, so did the mania surrounding the artist’s cult-like following which led to the shutdown of a show in Los Angeles at The Roxy. Yeat was born Noah Smith in 2000. He began releasing music around 2015, taking notes from Young Thug’s melodic strangeness and the inventive production styles of rappers who were rising to prominence as he grew up. He started out using the moniker Lil Yeat, but shortened it to Yeat in 2018. That year, he released his first mixtape, Deep Blue Strips. From then on, he was in hyperdrive. As his fame skyrocketed, Yeat released the mixtapes Alivë and 4L, and the Trëndi EP, before signing to Field Trip Recordings / Geffen Records for the release of his first proper studio album. Up 2 Më was issued in September 2021 followed by a second studio LP, 2 Alivë, in early 2022 and AftërLyfe in 2023.

My Armed & Female book series has been called “the bible of gun self-defense for women,” and although the first book has been available for many years, I realized that with all of the changes in laws and the new attitudes about guns, it was time to update the book. Numerous people asked me to revise it without losing its spirit and intent since it has helped many women make the decision to arm themselves safely and confidently. 

Owning a firearm for self-defense is your right as an American, but with that right comes extreme responsibility and accountability. Gun ownership is not a Red State vs. Blue State issue. In a country with 120 guns for every 100 people, plenty of liberals are pro-gun, and many conservatives support some type of gun regulations. Even in a state like California, which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, as well as a strong anti-gun political climate, many residents are buying and learning how to use firearms. All over America, women of all ages, religions, nationalities, and races have come to the realization that to protect themselves and their families against escalating violence – many feel that they cannot trust their local law enforcement – they need to own a firearm. 

Many of these women report that they’ve left or are trying to leave violent relationships. Others just want to have some control over their own personal safety in a rapidly changing world. Many purchased handguns without knowing how to use them. It is for all the women who want to learn about the pros and cons of gun ownership, and about how to protect themselves safely and effectively with a firearm that I decided to write my newest book, Armed & Female II: Never An Easy Target.

LEVC ANNOUNCES UPGRADED BATTERY FOR TX AND VN5

  • LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has announced a battery upgrade for new TX taxis and VN5 vans

LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has announced an enhancement for its TX taxi and VN5  light van, with both vehicles benefitting from a larger and more efficient battery. 

The 34.6 kWh unit upgrades LEVC’s state-of-the-art eCity powertrain, offering increased capacity (up from 31 kWh) and greater efficiency, with even lower COemissions for the TX and VN5, bolstering the contribution of LEVC’s vehicles to improving urban air quality.

Thanks to the new battery, the TX taxi now emits just 14g/km of CO2 (down from 19g/km) while the VN5 emits 17g/km (down from 19g/km). Drivers and owner operators are driving further too, with TX’s electric-only range now 78 miles* (up from 64 miles) and its total range increasing to 333 miles (up from 318 miles).  VN5’s electric-only range improves to 73 miles (up from 64 miles) and 328 miles* in total (up from 318 miles).  

LEVC has manufactured the TX – the world’s most advanced electric taxi – at its groundbreaking facility since 2017, as well as its electric VN5 van from 2019. Since the first TX taxi was delivered in January 2018 in London, more than 8,500 vehicles have now been built for global markets.

LEVC’s Space Oriented Architecture (SOA) is the world’s first EV platform focused on setting new standards for onboard space. The one and only LE SSERAFIM dropped a mesmerizing music video for “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife,” from their first studio album UNFORGIVEN.

The quintet showed unparalleled global success with the lead single “UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)” released earlier this month, hitting a career high with UNFORGIVEN by exceeding 1.03 million pre-orders within the first week, and topping 2 of Oricon’s weekly charts with album rankings and digital album rankings. The act has also set the records once again as the fastest girl group in the history of K-pop to enter top 10 on Billboard 200 at No.6, just a year after their debut.

In addition to chart records, thousands of FEARNOT lined up at pop-up events hosted in three different cities around the world to celebrate the group’s first studio album. Two exclusive album listening parties were held in collaboration with the legendary roller rink Flipper’s at Rockefeller Center in New York and in Exhibition London in the heart of White City, London, while in Seoul, Korea, ‘LE SSERAFIM 2023 S/S POP UP,’ a spacious two-story building pop-up store, launched where fans can enjoy their music, but also featured the group’s own merchandise items from a variety of athleticwear and other accessories to desserts and drinks that members themselves participated in creating. The London Concours, presented by Montres Breguet announced via 360 Magazine.

London Concours

The London Concours, presented by Montres Breguet, is delighted to announce that 2023’s show – now under two weeks away – will feature a breath-taking selection of bespoke automotive creations. The carefully curated selection will encompass almost 100 years of coachbuilding, celebrating the wild and wonderful creations that have emerged from some of the world’s most storied styling houses over the decades. The event, which will run from the 6th-8th June at the Honourable Artillery Company in the heart of the City, offers a rare opportunity to view these exceptionally rare motor cars at the capital’s ultimate automotive garden party.

At the centre of the display will be a majestic 1929 Rolls-Royce 20/25 ‘Boat Tail’. Termed the Boat Tail, because of its sweeping, carefully sculpted rear bodywork – reminiscent of the stern of an elegant wooden power boat – this machine was based on the imperious Rolls-Royce Phantom 20/25 chassis. Powered by a silken 3.7 litre straight-six engine, the Boat Tail body was commissioned by a wealthy American customer, and created by a coachbuilder in Girona, Spain. The car that will be on display has recently been treated to a body-off restoration taking some four years, and now presents in sensational condition – even featuring an electric picnic basket compartment located within the teak boot area!

The category will also feature a very special Austin-Healey 3000 MK2 from 1961 turned into a sleek, aerodynamic coupe by British outfit WSM. The body was commissioned when the 3000 MK2 was 3 years old, to replace the existing open-top body after it had sustained damage when racing at Silverstone. The metalwork was designed by Douglas Winston-Spratt at Delta Garages and produced by Robert Peel Sheet Metal Works in Kingston, west London. While the results were stunning, adding the lightweight, slippery GT body to the Healey came at a significant cost, £1,476 to be precise, an eye watering sum at a time when a new Jaguar E-Type Coupe was priced at just over £2,000. This was the only WSM Healey built, and June’s show will be the first time it’s appeared in public since the 1970s.

The line-up will include a one-of-a-kind beach buggy – the 1970 Matra Buggy by Bertone. Introduced at the 1970 Paris Motor Show, as beach buggy interest was sweeping across the Europe, the Matra was styled by legendary designer Marcello Gandini working at Bertone. Gandini, the man responsible for the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, delivered a predictably futuristic take on the buggy format with the Matra. It was based on the mechanicals of the Simca 1200S Coupe – also Bertone styled – and powered by a 1200cc four-cylinder motor. The vehicle that will be on show in London is the very show car from Paris, a one-off example that may well be the ultimate summer machine.

June’s show will also feature a special, very stylish coachbuilt Peugeot Shooting Break, the Peugeot 504 Break Riviera. This sleek machine, designed by Pininfarina was based on the 504 coupe, made its debut at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show. It was conceived by Peugeot as a stylish, rakish alternative to the existing 504 estate, however it was unfortunately deemed by the top brass at Peugeot to be too expensive for production, and the project was canned. With only one original protype known in existence, this striking vehicle has been carefully restored, and, after years out of the spotlight, it is ready to reclaim the limelight.

Guests will also have the chance to examine an ultra-rare Japanese-Italian creation: the Zagato-built Autech Gavia. The Gavia was a joint venture between Nissan’s in-house tuning company Autech, and Italian design house Zagato – known for its eye-catchingly avant-garde designs. The car that will be on show this June was built in 1995, and features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 motor, sourced from the Nissan 300ZX, sending 276bhp – or perhaps a touch more – to the wheels via a 4-speed automatic ‘box. Nissan’s trusted mechanicals were cloaked in a purposeful looking aluminium Zagato body, with striking, single piece, spokeless wheel covers contributing further to the futuristic look.

Another Zagato designed coach built rarity, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato, will also join the line-up. Unveiled to great acclaim at Villa d’Este in May 2016, the all-carbon bodied, 6.0-litre V12 Vanquish Zagato was the then latest creation from the long-standing partnership with the Italian design-house, Zagato. Just 99 cars built were built at Aston Martin’s production facility in Gaydon, and only 32 for the UK RHD market. With its V12 tuned to produce 595bhp, the Vanquish Zagato was capable of hitting 0-60mph time of 3.5sec. One of the most elegant modern Astons, the Vanquish Zagato incorporates many of the design houses signature styling cues such as the ‘double bubble’ roof. A certain future classic, and another bespoke machine not to be missed.

These Bespoke automotive rarities and many more will star alongside the Concours’ other hotly anticipated, carefully curated classes, including Golden Age Coupes, Built To Race For The Road, Evolution of Aero and Grand Tourisme. Further class announcements set to follow in the next couple of weeks, as we build towards the 7th edition of this unmissable event.

R&B rookie Ebony Riley (Riley Montana, Inc./Interscope Records) returns with her new heartfelt video, “I Could Feel It.” Directed by Jamar Harding, the black-and-white visual is poignant for the Detroit star as she succinctly details her relationship trauma. “You was fucking all them bitches on me / I got so stressed out that I lost the baby,” she sings. The minute-long clip is powerful as it shows Ebony’s strength and resiliency to push forward despite the pain in her life.

“I Could Feel It” is the first string of videos Ebony will release as part of Mental Health Awareness month. In an interview with Essence, she spoke on the importance of mental health saying: “Everybody needs to work on mental health. You can have the best or worst life, and it’s still something we all need to work on. The more we talk about it, the more people will be okay with it because so many people suffer in silence, and they don’t feel like they have anybody they can talk to or identify with because nobody is being honest.”

The Interscope star hasn’t only amassed wins on the music side with the release of her celebrated EP ebony, but in fashion, as well. For Pride Month, Reebok has officially introduced Unity by Reebok. This is the brand’s first footwear and apparel collection consisting of genderless products in honor of the LGBTQ+ community. Introduced and designed in partnership with Reebok’s LGBTQ+ ERG (Employee Resource Group), Colorful Soles, Unity by Reebok is the first collection within a long-term commitment to offering genderless product.

The entire range is designed with the intention that anyone can wear the items, regardless of gender. Offered in colorways meant to inspire movement, pride, and self-expression.

In conjunction with the release, Reebok is also donating $15K to Boston-based Whittier Street Health Center’s LGBTQ Youth Wellness Program, a program aimed to increase mental and physical health services to the underserved Black and Brown LGBTQ youth in the Greater Boston community.

The famous artist, performer, and multi-award-winning Olga Tañón returns home to Puerto Rico with her Simetría Tour. As she herself has described it, “It won’t just be a show, it will be an event” that will take place at the world-renowned “Choli” (Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot). For the first time in her career, the Puerto Rican star will perform her show at this iconic venue on September 2nd. This will be a historic and emotional “event” for attendees. Olga Tañón has taken the Star of our flag around the world, has been applauded and loved in so many places, and has proven to be a source of pride for Puerto Rico with all her international achievements and recognitions. The Tañón, considered one of the greatest “showwomen” in the industry of all time, has released over 300 songs that have motivated and thrilled millions of followers. Olga returns home with a commitment; “that each of the attendees experiences an unforgettable event.”

The event will be produced by Encore & Opción 1 Entertainment, with the collaboration of the Carlos Beltrán Foundation, and with the support of the SBS radio conglomerate. Her performance in Puerto Rico will be a reunion with the audience that saw her rise in the music industry.
