Discord - The Emoji Effect via 360 MAGAZINE

Discord – The Emoji Effect

Discord, one of the most popular brands among Gen Z, has just released The Emoji Effect – a study of 16,000 users worldwide to further understand the magic behind emojis and why they’re beloved by so many.

Among all of the interactions taking place on Discord, one of the most popular behaviors is the use of emojis. ✨Increasing “emoji power” is one of the most popular perks of Nitro 🚀, Discord’s paid subscription offering, which allows people to boost their emoji library (or create and upload their own custom emoji!) with every new community they join. Nitro offers users access to over 500 million custom emojis, and fun fact: they share over 455,000 emojis every minute –that’s over 7,600 emojis used every second. 🤯

With emojis being a universal language anyone can understand, Discord wanted to learn more about the larger role they play in finding friendships, boosting confidence, and connecting with communities (particularly among Gen Z).

To further understand the magic behind emojis, Discord surveyed 16,000 people around the world 🌎 to understand why they’re beloved by so many.

📊 Key insights from The Emoji Effect include:

Emojis are the Secret to Building Connection, Trust, and Togetherness Online. No matter who you’re speaking to, or where your conversation is taking place, emojis are the secret sauce to building connection, trust, and togetherness online – 63% of people surveyed say emojis help them connect with interest-based communities, while 73% feel emojis help bring people together.

Emojis also help strengthen connections and relationships with friends, family, significant others, love interests, classmates, and coworkers. Next time you’re talking to your mom 👩🏽, boss 👨🏿‍💻, or favorite Discord community member 🧑‍🤝‍🧑, consider throwing in a few emojis!

Younger Generations are Likely to Feel More Honest, Expressive, and Comfortable Using Emojis. Younger generations are often digital natives and for this reason, may have a better understanding of what emojis bring to a conversation. They can also help explain the proper use of even the most cryptic emojis. 🙃🤠

Globally, Gen Z (61%) and Millennials (68%) believe that texts with emojis allow them to be more honest compared to texts without them, and Gen Z (65%) and Millennials (69%) can communicate their feelings better through emojis than written messages.

Emojis are Taking Over Written Language. Emojis offer greater personal expression, sometimes even more than written or verbal words. While 57% of people say they can better express their personality through emojis than through words, 70% say emojis can help make messages clearer. 😎🤏😳🕶🤏

Emojis are More Powerful Than Likes. Sharing our thoughts, actions, and interests is a common aspect of online culture. However, with sharing often comes the desire for validation. And emojis may be the new, preferred way to co-sign virtually: 57% of people get a bigger confidence boost when receiving emojis than a Like on a photo, and 43% say emojis provide more validation than a text or verbal statement.

A boost in confidence can be a powerful feeling, and providing that feeling to another person may be as easy as sending an emoji. 😍🔥👑

Emojis Serve as Conduits to Communicating with Friends & Partners. With their ever-evolving definitions and fluid meanings, emojis allow people to adapt different tones and meanings in every conversation – 79% of those surveyed say the emojis they use differ depending on who they are talking to. While the majority of people switch up their emoji use, 44% have a set of go-to emojis they like to use. 🫂💬

Emojis are Key to Making Digital Communication More Human. With the rise of virtual communication, the nuances of in-person conversations are often lost, creating confusion and misunderstanding. Emojis are the missing link 🔗 to making digital communication more human. Over 67% of people believe they can let their guard down when they see others using emojis, and 63% believe compliments shared with an emoji feel more genuine.

Including an emoji in your next message can also help mimic in-person mannerisms: 7 out of 10 people feel that emojis help mimic in-person conversations in a virtual setting, a benefit that’s particularly important when building remote connections is increasingly common. 🤝

Emojis Help Show Us Who Our Real Friends Are. The jury’s out: the true test of finding your BFF is with emojis. Over 65% of people are inclined to agree you’ve reached true friendship status when you start using more emojis with someone. In addition to strengthening existing friendships, emojis also help build new friendships – 43% of people are more comfortable talking with people that use emojis. So break the ice with your new friends and send that emoji. 👉👈🧊🔨

Emojis Serve as Powerful Mood-Boosting Tools. Emojis have a positive effect on our emotional state, and 72% of people agree that receiving an emoji when they are feeling sad brings a simile to their faces. It’s no wonder that 40% also agree that emojis can make them feel more cared for than a hug.

While many of us use them when feeling happy, humorous, and excited, 56% say they’re likely to use emojis when trying to cut the tension in a conversation. So whenever you need to brighten 🌞 your spirit 👻 (or someone else’s), use an emoji!

Custom Emojis Build a More Expressive and Inclusive World Online. Custom emojis are the future and help unlock more personal feelings of connection and community. When asked about custom emojis, people agreed they allow for diversity and inclusivity (84%), the ability to be unique (83%), and self-expression (81%).

While the custom emojis seen on Discord have yet to infiltrate the universal language of standard emojis, the benefits and interest surrounding them indicate a growing desire for their use in the coming future – 76% of people say custom emojis are easier to use than even text! 🧑‍🎨📈🔮

Marine Toys for Tots 75th Anniversary

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program

Celebrates 75 Years of Providing Hope to Children in Need!

Marine Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s premiere Community Action Program, announces its 75th Anniversary of supporting children in need across the Nation and the kick-off of the Program’s 2022 holiday campaign.

U.S. Marines and volunteers will be conducting over 830 local toy collection and distribution campaigns in all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S. Virgin Islands.  This year, Toys for Tots will highlight our extraordinary Reserve Marines, past and present, as well as showcase the incredible effort from communities across the Nation that has enabled Toys for Tots to support over 281 million less fortunate children.

Who: U.S. Marines and 55,000 volunteers, millions of local supporters, hundreds of corporate partners of Toys for Tots.

What: Marines and volunteers engaging with local businesses, media and individuals within their communities collecting new, unwrapped toys and distributing those gifts to less fortunate children allowing them to experience the joy of Christmas or any celebrated holiday.

When:   November 1, 2022 – December 25, 2022

Where: Toys for Tots is conducting more than 830 local campaigns in communities throughout the U.S. Find a local TFT campaign near you by visiting our website at www.toysfortots.org.

Why: Across the Nation, 1 in 6 million children are living in poverty. The mission of Marine Toys for Tots is to bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children with the goal of delivering a message of hope that will inspire youngsters to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Now, in Toys for Tots’ 75th year, we are asking our supporters to make this important milestone another record-breaking year. It is our goal to deliver the magic of the holidays to every family seeking holiday help from Toys for Tots.

The idea of the Marine Toys for Tots Program began in 1947 at the helm of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks. Major Hendricks’ wife, Diane, was the inspiration behind the Program after she asked Major Hendricks to deliver some handcrafted dolls to an agency that supported children in need. When Major Hendricks reported back to his wife that he could not find an agency for the handcrafted dolls, Diane encouraged her husband to “start one”!

The Marine Toys for Tots Program began as just one campaign in 1947 with Major Hendricks and the Marines in his Reserve unit collecting over 5,000 toys and delivering them to children in need in the Los Angeles area. The following year, under the direction of the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Clifton B. Cates, every Marine Corps Reserve unit implemented a Toys for Tots campaign—which transformed Toys for Tots into a National Community Action Program.

In recent years, Marine Toys for Tots has distributed millions of educational toys, books, games, and sporting equipment to children in need during the spring and summer months. These children and their families were facing adversity and exceptional circumstances including pandemic related challenges, natural disaster recovery, and other extenuating events. “Toys for Tots is more than a Christmas charity—that is why we wanted to DoGoodNOW and continue to expand our partnerships with other non-profit partners,” said Lieutenant General Jim Laster, USMC (Retired), President & CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “With the assistance of various non-profit organizations throughout the country, Toys for Tots has the ability to extend our reach and provide support to families who are facing tremendous year-round challenges.”

The Toys for Tots Literacy Program has also expanded since its inception in 2008 by providing books to non-profits to distribute books to Title I funded schools across the Nation. Over 47 million books have been distributed, and with each and every book provided, the Toys for Tots Literacy Program hopes to break the cycle of poverty. Another Program that has allowed Toys for Tots to reach even more children in need is the Toys for Tots Native American Program. Each year, 180,000+ Native American children living on remote Reservations across the United States receive toys and books leaving a positive impact and assisting in the development of these children.

As our Nation has faced the many challenges and national crises over the past 75 year, the American public has never let Toys for Tots down. Our Marines and volunteers have been able to support millions of children in need year after year. Marine Toys for Tots had a record-breaking year in 2021 and distributed an unprecedented 22.4 million toys to 8.7 million underprivileged children.

Since Marine Toys for Tots Program’s inception in 1947 with a single hand-crafted doll, we have distributed 627 million toys to over 281 million children in need over seven decades. We’ve adapted and overcome many challenges, but always accomplished the mission.

Today’s children are tomorrow’s future, and Marine Toys for Tots is dedicated to ensuring it’s as bright as possible for children living in challenging circumstances. Because of the support we have received over the last seven decades from the American public, our wonderful Corporate Sponsors, and our dedicated local Coordinators and volunteers – we are 75 years strong! Now, in our 75th year, the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program also provides support year-round to families experiencing challenges and exceptional circumstances, thus fulfilling the hopes and dreams of millions of children in need Nationwide at Christmastime – and beyond. Help Marine Toys for Tots fulfill the Christmas Holiday dreams of millions of impoverished children who otherwise may be forgotten, after all – every child deserves a little Christmas.

About Marine Toys for Tots

Marine Toys for Tots, a 75-year National charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness, and hope to children in need. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by the Marines offer these children recognition, confidence, and a positive memory for a lifetime. It is such experiences that help children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community. Last year, the Marine Toys for Tots Program fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of 8.7 million less fortunate children in over 830 communities Nationwide. Since 1947, over 281 million children have been assisted. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not-for-profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense to provide fundraising and other necessary support for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Girl Vow, Inc. Presents the Second NYC Annual Candle Light Vigil for Missing and Murdered Women and Girls

Girl Vow & The National Taskforce for Missing & Murdered Women & Girls of Color is hosting the Second NYC Annual Candle Light Vigil for Missing and Murdered Women and Girls on November 4, 2022, from 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM to be held at the City Hall Park located at Broadway near Chambers Street.

In light of so many recent missing girls of color in New York and around the nation, Girl Vow is launching a task force, consisting of a well-cultivated team, to tackle the issues head-on: why are our girls going missing, how can we take these important issues more seriously, and also address preventative measures? Our bill S6924 and A8347 is written to examine the perplexing gender-based issues that have been overlooked for far too long.

As reported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2019, there were 421,394 missing children in the database. Almost 75% of those missing children were females, 205,802 were black females. Latinx are statistically invisible and considered white.

The National Taskforce for Missing and Murdered Women and Girls of Color is a response to solving the pervasive silence when girls/women of color are missing, murdered, and unnoticed. Our mission is to organize to advance beyond the issues of colorism, racial, economic, and structural oppression with communities at the helm of change.

It’s sad that we even live in a time when this topic is even being discussed but what’s even sadder is the look in these girls’ eyes when they truly believe that they are not as important to the community or even to society in a whole because of the color of there skin. Why do our girls have to feel as if they are not important? Why do our girls have to strive more fight stronger and work harder just to survive in life? Why do families of girls in our community feel alone?

It is our responsibility as a community to take care of each other. The silence that is present when women and girls of color go missing, is not acceptable. We must amplify our voice together to effectively raise awareness, in addition to exercising all necessary resources to combat this issue.

Six new markers on “TENNESSEE MUSIC PATHWAYS”

FOLLOW THE MUSIC: TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TOURIST DEVELOPMENT UNVEILS SIX NEW MARKERS ON “TENNESSEE MUSIC PATHWAYS”

Howard Armstrong, G.B. Grayson, Jo Walker-Meador, Craig Morgan and Little David Wilkins Honored for Their Significant Contributions That Shaped Music History

Tennessee Department of Tourist Development (TDTD) honored music icons Howard Armstrong, G.B. Grayson, Jo Walker-Meador, Craig Morgan and Little David Wilkins with the unveiling of six new markers on the “Tennessee Music Pathways” at locations across the state. Local and state leaders, family and friends and music industry executives gathered to celebrate their significant contributions to music history in Tennessee.

A keeper of African American string tradition, Howard Armstrong was a multi-instrumentalist with an extensive repertoire. He was also a multilinguist, painter and a teller of folk tales and anecdotes drawn from his long life and career. Armstrong was honored on Oct. 18 with a marker in downtown LaFollette. His son, Ralphe Armstrong, and Mayor Jack Lunch were in attendance.

TDTD and Johnson County Center of the Arts honored G.B. Grayson with a marker on Oct. 18 in downtown Mountain City with special performances by Kody Norris and Kenny Price. The new marker is the latest addition to the “Musical Heritage Mural Mile” walking tour through downtown Mountain City. The self-guided mural tour connects Johnson County residents and visitors alike to a storied history of authentic Appalachian music, including Clarence “Tom” Ashley, Blind Fiddler, G.B. Grayson, who first recorded the Ballad of Tom Dooley, plus Fred Price and Clint Howard, who introduced the young Doc Watson to the world.

Alongside the City of Orlinda and Robertson County, Tennessee Tourism honored country music industry pioneer Jo Walker-Meador on Oct. 21 with a new marker on the Tennessee Music Pathways. As executive director of the Country Music Association (CMA) from 1962 until 1991, Jo Walker-Meador’s career mirrored the growth of the industry she led. She became a tireless proselytizer for country music. Under her leadership, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the CMA Awards, and Fan Fair (later CMA Music Festival, now known as CMA Fest) were established, in addition to many industry initiatives.

On Oct. 18, TDTD and Dickson County honored country music star Craig Morgan with the unveiling of a “Tennessee Music Pathways” marker next door to the Clement Museum Hotel. Craig Morgan, a longtime resident of Dickson, attended the unveiling and held a book signing for his new memoir, “God, Family, Country.” A multi-faceted entertainer, Morgan has made a name for himself as a country music icon, TV personality, celebrated outdoorsman and patriotic Army veteran. With over 25 charted Billboard songs, Morgan is widely known for massive hits “This Ole Boy,” ”Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “Little Bit of Life,” “Wake Up Lovin’ You,” “International Harvester” and “Bonfire.” A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008, he has made over 250 appearances on the hallowed stage.

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Little David Wilkins was honored in Parsons with a new marker. As a country singer, songwriter and entertainer, Wilkins scored 17 country hits. His composition, “Coming On Strong,” was a No. 11 pop hit for Brenda Lee in 1966, and he wrote songs for artists as diverse as soul singer Percy Sledge; country star Conway Twitty; and folk-pop group, the Serendipity Singers. Wilkins was also a nightclub performer and worked as a supporting artist to several major country stars.

Nearly every town in Tennessee has a story when it comes to music. Tennessee Music Pathways is a guide that connects visitors to the rich musical heritage of our state. From the largest cities to the smallest communities, the Pathways stretches across all 95 counties and features hundreds of landmarks and attractions from the seven genres of music that call Tennessee home: blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, soul, rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll. Everyone knows about Elvis Presley in Memphis, the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and Dolly Parton’s East-Tennessee roots; but there is a deeper story to be told. From rockabilly to sacred music – our musical history is statewide, diverse and deserves to be heard. This is what makes Tennessee the “Soundtrack of America.”

Malka Nedivi - Transcending Matter via 360 MAGAZINE

Malka Nedivi – Transcending Matter

“Nedivi’s most singular gift is for transforming the literal and metaphorical artifacts of ruin into objects and experiences of folkloric, fantastical, and hypnotically eccentric beauty.” – Shayna Nys Dambrot, Huff Post, Dec 2017

Malka Nedivi’s current solo exhibition Transcending Matter is on view from Sunday November 13 to Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Matter Studio Gallery, 5080 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles. An opening reception will be held on Nov. 13 from 4-8 pm.  The gallery will host an artist talk on Dec 4, 2-5pm where the artist will present a performance excerpt from her upcoming one-woman show “A Story About Shoes” at 3pm. A closing reception is scheduled for Sunday, December 11 from 2-5 pm.

Malka Nedivi’s Transcending Matter is the visually articulated story of reclaiming lost family history and healing for herself and her ancestors. It is an artist’s response to immense life challenges of generational trauma, coupled with immigration’s loss of grounding, and complicated familial relationships.

Nedivi began creating large sculptures and collage paintings following the death of her mother in 2002. These works explore the emotional connection she had with her parents – both survivors of the Holocaust.  Born in the newly established State of Israel after her parents immigrated from Poland, Nedivi was raised in a family without ancestral mooring-where none of their history was discussed and remains largely unknown. Artmaking became her method for filling the gaps created by their lack of familial past.

“Everything that I use is old. I am giving the materials new life.” is how she describes the mixed media ingredients of her work.   In repurposing discarded materials, she reclaims and restores diminished significance.  Her resulting collaged figures combine Figurative Expressionism with the directness and accessibility of folk art.  Nedivi’s process consists of layering and molding fabric, paper, and other mixed media in a way that is reminiscent of how her mother collected materials, perpetually patching and mending holes in worn garments.   She sees her art as her way of mending the holes in her own life.

Malka Nedivi is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Los Angeles. She was born in Rehovot, Israel, in 1952, an only child to parents who survived the Holocaust and emigrated from Poland. Studying Theater and Literature at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, she directed plays and taught theater. In 1980, she moved to Los Angeles, CA, with her husband and son to study film at UCLA. She worked as an Assistant Film Editor from 1987-1992.

Malka has an extensive exhibition history including solo shows at BOA Art Gallery and the National Council of Jewish Women in Los Angeles. Malka’s work has been reviewed in publications such as the Huff Post, Beverly Press, Diversions LA, Filling the Negative Space, and Trebuchet Magazine

The First Advance Single From Juanes’ Highly Anticipated 2023 New Album, “AMORES PROHIBIDOS”  Represents The Start Of A New Creative Cycle For The 27 Time GRAMMY & LATIN GRAMMY Winner – Resulting From An Ardent Songwriter Turning Inward During The Pandemic To Reexamine Life, Love, Family and More of His Own Emotional Intricacies

Colombian Rock Superstar JUANES is set to release his new single“AMORES PROHIBIDOS” on November 10th – marking the first listen fans will have into the new musical growth begun by the globally renowned artist following his recent GRAMMY & LATIN GRAMMY winning ORIGEN  album and world tour. Whereas ORIGEN brought Juanes back to re-embrace his earliest and strongest rock music roots through reinterpretations of some of the most influential songs from others that shaped his musical vision, this natural new creative cycle meshes that continued return to electric guitar rock with a deep dive back into his own long-praised songwriting skill that turned inward in focus during the recent pandemic period.

This resulting two years of writing and recording has left both the artist and his close collaborating producer (and fellow multiple Grammy winner) Sebastian Krys filled with excitement about soon sharing this new level creativity as a full album release in early 2023, (marking Juanes’ first all-original album  since 2019’s “Más Futuro Que Pasado”).

“I believe Juanes has reconnected with his fearless innovative songwriting that defined him early on in his career. This song sounds 100% Juanes and is simultaneously unlike anything he has done before.  Juanes has always been an innovator. Writing during the pandemic made him connect with his day to day life. His Children, his wife, his music, his fears, and passions. It is apparent to me that he has tapped into another level of musical exploration and curiosity which only a handful of artists ever achieve” – Sebastian Krys.

Leading up to the November 10th release of “AMORES PROHIBIDOS”(PRE-SAVE NOW)  Juanes has already begun taking fans inside his recent creative process for the new song through a series of brief TikTok videos (idea/lyrics/melody/ riff/beat/keyboards) that have already generated over nine million views and can be seen here.   Watch Juanes’ social accounts in the upcoming days for more sneak peeks into the song and new video.

THE BALVENIE SIXTY by THE BALVENIE via 360 MAGAZINE

THE BALVENIE SIXTY

THE BALVENIE RELEASES ITS OLDEST AND RAREST WHISKY EVER; THE BALVENIE SIXTY

The release marks the 60th anniversary of Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE

  • The Balvenie launches The Balvenie Sixty. A single cask from 1962 marking the distillery’s oldest and rarest Whisky released for sale to date
  • Only 71 bottles being released globally
  • The bottles celebrates Malt Master, David C. Stewart MBE’s six decade career at the distillery

The Balvenie, today announces The Balvenie Sixty, a single cask bottling from 1962, marking the distillery’s oldest and rarest whisky released for sale to date.  The extremely rare bottling marks the anniversary of industry icon and renowned Malt Master, David C. Stewart MBE, who is celebrating six decades at the distillery – making him the longest serving Malt Master in industry history.

Throughout his time at The Balvenie, David C. Stewart MBE has developed unrivaled knowledge and pioneered techniques that have had a profound impact on the whisky making processes used today; most notably his developments around ‘cask finishes’,  which led to a new way of creating flavor in whisky and a technique adopted in whisky making the world over.

A fitting tribute to David’s esteemed career, this single cask was selected by The Balvenie’s Kelsey McKechnie, who has been mentored by Stewart for the past four years.  “I have learned so much from David at work. His mentorship has made a profound impact on me and finding a cask to fit such an incredible character in the Distillery’s history is a great honor.”

The cask selected is complex, vibrant and lively.  Described by Kelsey “on the nose the whisky has a mesmerizing array of autumnal aromas; lavender, heather and bracken. Whilst rich toffee, roasted coffee and beautifully layered oak dominate the palate. The flavor evolves with time revealing bursts of cloves, nutmeg, charred oak and candied orange in an exceptional long lasting finish”

Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE commented: “I started at the distillery in 1962, as a whisky stocks clerk, this liquid; a new make spirit was filled into a collection of traditional European Oak Hogshead casks. For six decades it has rested and matured, now marking quite a poignant moment for me on my journey.’’

While the whisky itself makes an impression, the packaging resembles a work of art; made from glass, gold and brass.

The tube casing was designed to reflect layers of memories from David’ career.  With five layers each etched with personal anecdotes from influential individuals along David’s journey.  The sixth decade is the elegant bottle itself, made from hand-blown crystal and containing a quote from Kelsey McKechnie to represent this current decade, and the future generations of The Balvenie.

It is a perfectly layered, ethereal take on a lifetime of memories justly representing the significance of David’s career to The Balvenie and the whisky industry at large.

The Balvenie Sixty ABV is 42.4%, with a suggested retail price of $145,000. The Balvenie Sixty will be available in the U.S. in 2023 (final timing to be confirmed), in extremely limited quantities.

In a statement, Opus Chief Executive Karl Fowler said they’re excited to share a sense of ownership of these cars and photography artworks with fans who have followed Grand Prix history.

“We are extremely proud to be partnering with Glorious for what is a momentous event for Opus with our natural progression into the digital Web3 space and our inaugural NFT release with the Ecclestone Grand Prix & Grand Prix Trilogy Collections.

“The Ecclestone Grand Prix Collection has a truly special story, the romance of the large format camera, the first time this unique F1 Grand Prix car collection being captured in this way with so many incredible and historically important cars, we felt strongly that everyone should have the opportunity to appreciate and indeed own a part of the collection for themselves.

“What better way to reach a global fan base and community whilst retaining the beauty of the Grand Prix cars than through the digital medium of an NFT release.

“To be able to partner with the best in this field was the deciding factor for us and with Glorious leading the way in the NFT art arena we are super excited about this partnership release of this historically important NFT collection.”

Glorious Digital Chief Executive, Tim Harper, says it’s an honour to be working on a project that further immortalises motorsport history.

“Like the millions of fans around the world, we’ve become drawn to Formula 1 not only because we are fascinated by the current superstars and teams that we watch now, but also the intriguing individuals, teams and cars that came before them, which are woven into the fabric of the sport’s origins has become a joy. And now, thanks to Opus and Bernie, we are proud to be releasing artworks that have been inspired by that history,” says Harper.

Both the 2600 digital artwork NFTs that make up the Grand Prix Trilogy Collection and the Ecclestone Grand Prix Collection will be available to view at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from 17 November.

SUMMER WALKER : “LAST DAY OF SUMMER” SPED-UP

SUMMER WALKER RELEASES LAST DAY OF SUMMER (SPED-UP) VERSION

‘Last Day Of Summer’ Becomes First Sped-Up Album Ever Released By An Artist

Today, Summer Walker revamps her 2018 opus Last Day Of Summer project and releases Last Day Of Summer (Sped Up). The newer version comes after the TikTok success of “Karma,” which saw spikes in streams after fans sped up the older rendition at the start of 2022. TikTok influencer @whereisreese created the viral dance and helped propel the song into new success. The original song, which garnered 250-300k weekly global streams at the beginning of the year, reached a whopping 2 million after LVRN/Interscope Records re-released the sped-up song. “Karma” peaked at 4.1 million global weekly streams and reached gold status in August.

Other Summer songs which have found similar success after being sped up on TikTok and YouTube include “Shame,” “Deep,” and her Billboard smash hit “Girls Need Love (Remix)” featuring Drake. The latter began catching traction when Kehlani expressed her joy in the sped-up version, dubbing it her “new favorite sound.” Last Day of Summer is officially the first sped-up album to be released and is a result of the singer listening to her devoted fanbase, who found pleasure in revisiting her classic but in a newer way.

Last August, Summer released her Amazon Music Live EP Summer Series. The five-track offering includes live performances of fan-favorite Summer records, including “Over It,” “Playing Games,” “Session 32,” “Throw It Away,” and “Unloyal.”

Summer has enjoyed a string of stellar performances over the last few months, beginning with her sold-out concert, A Hot Summer Night, last June. She continued her fiery onslaught at London’s Wireless Festival, where her rousing effort amazed the crowd and left her stunned by their courteous reception. She continued her scorching summer by taking her talents to New York’s Hulu Theatre at the prestigious Madison Square Garden before performing at Detroit’s Fox Theatre. In recent months, Walker also landed prominent feature appearances alongside music heavyweights Kendrick Lamar (“Purple Hearts”) and The Weeknd (“Best Friend (Remix).”
