The watch features a sleek blue band made of alligator leather, that meets at a striking silver dial. The subdials compliment the band shining in blue: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small-second sub-dial at 9 o’clock.

Each watch purchased comes accompanied by an exclusive certificate signed by Georges Kern, Breitling CEO and Brian Duffy, the Watches of Switzerland Group CEO.

Shania Twain – The Woman in Me: Diamond Edition

International icon Shania Twain, the best-selling female country artist of all-time in the US, announced the 25th anniversary of her GRAMMY-winning breakthrough album with The Woman in Me: Diamond Edition, on Good Morning America August 14 during their “Summer Concert Series.” Watch the performances below.

Available now, via Mercury Nashville/UMG Recordings, Inc., the Diamond Edition contains a newly remastered version of the genre-busting, multi-platinum album.  The Diamond Edition also includes previously unreleased tracks, live recordings, and mixes that trace the evolution of an album that changed the way country music sounded. The three-CD box set contains 16 previously unreleased tracks, including five live performances recorded in December 2019 during Twain’s residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, and an entire “Shania Vocal Mix” containing early takes of 11 songs from nearly a year before the album’s release. In addition to the five Las Vegas performances, the “Live & Remixed” disc, available on both the two- and three-CD editions, features two tracks recorded in September 1998 at Dallas’ Reunion Arena for the Shania: Live DVD that also was carried on DirecTV; and nine remixes that show how Twain and producer, Robert John “Mutt” Lange, continued to adapt her sound as she began to cross into pop and international markets – and even into dance clubs.

Eight of the 12 songs from The Woman in Me appeared on Billboard’s country singles chart, with four – “Any Man of Mine,” “(If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here!,” “You Win My Love” and “No One Needs to Know” – reaching No. 1. “Any Man of Mine” also gave Twain her first Top 40 crossover hit. The Woman in Me spent 29 weeks atop the country albums chart and was 1995’s best-selling country album. It won a GRAMMY for Best Country Album in 1996 and later was ranked No. 8 on CMT’s list of 40 Greatest Country Albums.

The Woman in Me: Diamond Edition is accompanied by a 48-page booklet containing liner notes from Twain, a 3,000-word essay written by renowned pop-culture journalist Eve Barlow, and photographs from John Derek, Albert Sanchez, Mark Tucker, Bo Derek, and Alexander E. Harbaugh.

The Woman in Me, Twain’s second album, debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard country chart in February 1995, entering the Billboard 200 three weeks later at 197. The album continued to climb steadily, finally hitting No. 1 on the country chart in July, the same week “Any Man of Mine”became Twain’s first chart-topping country single. By that point, the album was already gold; by the end of 1995, it had sold 4 million copies, making it the year’s top-selling country album. In 1996, it passed Patsy Cline’s Greatest Hits to become the best-selling album by a female country artist (a title Twain’s 1997 follow-up, Come on Over, would claim in 1999). The Woman in Me reached Diamond status for shipments of 10 million copies in 1997, then 12 million in 2000. It has sold an estimated 20 million copies worldwide.

Twain has sold 48 million albums in the US, making her the sixth best-selling female artist in the country, and 100 million albums worldwide. She is the only female artist to have three consecutive albums certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association for shipments of 10 million units.

Tears For Fears – The Seeds Of Love 2020

Over thirty years on from its original release, Tears For Fears’ third long-player The Seeds Of Love has taken on mythical status for its scope, ambition, timeless musicality, and the fact that it took over four years to record. Now, the band is releasing a 2020 special edition with never-before heard bonus tracks, brand new autobiographical content, and more.

For music fans and audiophiles the world over, the album continues to astound with its depth and sheer audacity. Three decades since its release, The Seeds Of Love has barely aged a day. As Roland Orzabal puts it, “Out of all our albums, I’d probably rank it highest. I think it surprised a lot of people, a lot of our peers as well, people who maybe we were being compared to in the mid-Eighties.” Curt Smith said “The tracks I liked then, I still like now. ‘Woman in Chains,’ ‘Badman’s Song,’ ‘Sowing the Seeds of Love,’ and ‘Advice For The Young At Heart’ have all stuck around. We still play those live.”

The super deluxe box set consists of four CDs and one Blu-Ray, which fully tells the story of how this extraordinary album came to be. The box set includes 22 unreleased tracks from demo sessions, live jams, studio sessions along with a definitive set of b-sides, and rare mixes. Highlights include demos of “Advice For The Young At Heart” with Roland Orzabal singing lead vocal and “Rhythm of Life,” which didn’t make it onto The Seeds of Love and was later given to Oleta Adams for her Circle of One album. The Blu-ray also features a stunning 5.1 mix by Grammy-nominated artist Steven Wilson.

Coming off the back of the ten million-selling Songs From The Big Chair, the first writing sessions for The Seeds Of Love started when the band was touring in 1985, making use of soundchecks to sketch the outlines of new songs. Over the next four years, Roland and Curt would work with several producers, engineers, and many musicians before finally deciding to produce the album themselves with assistance from their Songs From The Big Chair engineer Dave Bascombe.

A key person in the making of the album was pianist and singer Oleta Adams, who Roland and Curt had seen play in the bar of their hotel while touring in 1985. She joined the recording sessions in early 1988 along with world-class session players such as drummer Manu Katché and bass player Pino Palladino and would play a massive part in songs such as “Woman In Chains” and “Badman’s Song.” These sessions in 1988 are perhaps the most fascinating tapes unearthed for the boxset. These jams took place at London’s Townhouse studio, and disc four contains around 30 minutes edited down from over 24 hours of unadulterated in-the-studio live performance, exactly as it was performed at the time, complete with chatter, some laughter, and no overdubs. These jams include very different versions of “Woman in Chains,” “Badman’s Song,” “Standing On The Corner Of The Third World,” and “Rhythm of Life.”

While the band was pleased with these sessions, there was still at least another year of further recording, overdubbing, editing, mixing, tweaking and discussion, before the final mix was finished in New York in the summer of 1989.

All of the efforts that went into the making of The Seeds Of Love certainly paid off as it is now hailed as a classic of the time, alongside albums such as Talk Talk’s Spirit Of EdenThe Seeds Of Love was released in the ‘80’s, but it remains anything but an “80’s album.”

MICHAEL KORS ANNOUNCES HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017 WATCH HUNGER STOP CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT GLOBAL HUNGER

World Food Day is on October 16 and Michael Kors is dedicating the month to new products and activities designed to support Watch Hunger Stop, the brand’s campaign to fight global hunger. Now in its 5th year, Watch Hunger Stop raises funds and awareness to help achieve a world with Zero Hunger. The brand’s partner in the effort is the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and funds go to support WFP’s school meals program, which reaches over 16 million children in almost 70 countries each year with vital nutrition that helps them fulfil their potential. Thus far, Watch Hunger Stop has enabled WFP to deliver more than 15 million meals to children in need.

“Our multi-year partnership with Michael Kors has resulted in a significant contribution toward progress in the fight against global hunger,” says Rick Leach, President and CEO of World Food Program USA. “Over the past five years, the school meals program, a focus of the Michael Kors effort, has played an enormous role in empowering hungry children with the nutrition they need to succeed in the classroom and lift themselves out of poverty.”
KATE HUDSON

Actress, author, entrepreneur and humanitarian Kate Hudson is again lending her talents to support Watch Hunger Stop, the brand’s annual campaign to fight global hunger. This past June, Hudson traveled with WFP to Siem Reap province in Cambodia to see how the funds raised through Watch Hunger Stop help WFP feed and support children in need. During the field visit, Hudson visited schools, farms and family homes, asking questions and sharing her irresistible warmth and energy. She spoke with local WFP staff members, helped cook school meals and played with children, thoroughly immersing herself in the details of the school meals program and the lives of those it affects.

“This is the third year I’ve had the honor of collaborating with Michael on this important cause,” says Hudson. “In June, I visited schools in Cambodia, where the funds raised by Watch Hunger Stop enable the United Nations World Food Programme to feed children so they receive the nutrition they need to grow and to finish their education. It was an amazing experience­—I can’t wait to share everything that I saw and learned there.”

THE ARTIST’S HAND

This year’s Watch Hunger Stop campaign features illustrations by award-winning artist Clym Evernden. Known for his distinctive ink-based style, Evernden graduated from Central Saint Martins, where he studied fashion design. He has contributed to several campaigns for Michael Kors, including for the opening of the Regent Street flagship store. Watch Hunger Stop is the artist’s first philanthropic campaign, and his bold, inviting designs add a vibrant dimension to the Watch Hunger Stop message. Speaking about his artwork, Evernden explains that he “aimed to create strong images that have an immediate global appeal. The use of my spontaneous and instinctive ink line encapsulates the message of the campaign to generate rapid help for those in need, promoting a feeling of proactive involvement.”

Special-edition watches have been a part of the Watch Hunger Stop effort since its inception, with 100 meals donated to WFP for each watch sold.* This year’s highlight is a special edition of the just-launched Michael Kors Access Sofie touchscreen smartwatch.
