Today, Katy Perry shared her first music video for the holidays – “Cozy Little Christmas.” View the clip, which was helmed by directing duo WATTS (Steve Aoki, Noah Cyrus), HERE. The song is now available at all DSPs after being released last year as an Amazon Original. “Cozy Little Christmas” claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart in December 2018.
On “Cozy Little Christmas,” Katy sings about her favorite time of year, reflecting on a holiday season spent with family in Denmark. She co-wrote and co-produced the track with Greg Wells, who produced “Waking Up In Vegas,” and Ferras Alqaisi, who co-wrote several songs on WITNESS.
People said, “Bust out the mistletoe and pour a cup of eggnog – now that Katy Perry has released a Christmas ditty, the holiday season has officially begun.” MTV noted, “this festive little tune will be a crowd-pleaser all around.” Idolator observed, “the perky bop is as irreverent and fun as you would expect…It also boasts the kind of sing-along chorus that gets stuck in your head from the first listen.”
Over the past six months, Katy has released a trio of new songs – “Harleys in Hawaii,” “Small Talk,” and the Gold-certified hit “Never Really Over.” Billboard declared, “the Katy Perry Renaissance…is here, undeniably and spectacularly…Perry is making her most exciting music in years, and within the span of a few months, she has completely shifted expectations for her next project among pop junkies.”
From its dramatic coastline cliffs to its picturesque mountain ranges, Japan’s lesser-known Miyagi Prefecture boasts some of the country’s best terrain and natural environments for adventure travel and fitness aficionados.
As the cherry blossoms begin to bloom across Japan this spring, Miyagi will get ready to host two of the biggest marathons in the country. The Tohoku Food Marathon in Tome City is one of the biggest events in the region with hundreds of participants, including many from overseas. Inspired by France’s whimsical Marathon du Medoc, the multifaceted event features participants in costumes from their favorite shows and video games. The marathon events begin on April 25, 2020 with a relay marathon, followed by a full marathon, half marathon and several smaller races for teenagers and children on the April 26, 2020. Multiple food festivals are held in conjunction with the races, allowing runners and spectators to sample regional delicacies including over a hundred varieties of sake. For those looking for more of a challenge, the Sendai International Half Marathon will be held in Miyagi’s capital on May 10, 2020. The annual marathon hosts over 10,000 runners from around the world. The route begins in Kohshin Rubber Athlete Park, traversing the city’s parks, lush avenues and stadiums. The race has several divisions, including 5K and 2K races, and is accessible to those in wheelchairs.
From the big cities to the picturesque landscapes of mountains and forests, Miyagi’s title as the “Land of Contrasts” comes from the prefecture’s incredibly varied environments. One of the best way to experience its diversity is by hiking the Michinoku Coast Trail, one of Japan’s longest hiking trails. This 560-plus-mile trek runs from Fukushima to the Aomori Prefecture, passing through four of Miyagi’s inner regions. The most sought-after hiking location is the Northern Kesennuma Section on the Sanriku Coast, which features a scenic rocky coastline and the Ogama Hanzo Monolith and Dairiseki Coast, a shore composed of natural marble.
Along the trail, hikers can take a break at Matsushima Bay, one of the great views of Japan, and paraglide along the bay’s iconic islands. At Shobutahama Beach, Takeshige Yamaya, a three-time paragliding national champion, offers tandem paragliding experiences. These experiences last around twenty minutes and offer incredible bird’s eye views of Matsushima Bay and, at higher heights, the city of Sendai and Mount Zao.
While the Michinoku Coast Trail and Matsushima Bay provide the best views along the coast, the Zao Hill Climb Eco event on May 24, 2020 is one of the best ways to see Mount Zao. Every spring, Miyagi Prefecture hosts this mountain biking tournament on two of Mount Zao’s roads: the Zao Echo Line and the Zao High Line. The challenging courses reach an altitude of 43,000 feet and a total length of 11.6 miles, starting from green terrain and ending at the snowy mountaintop. While many participants race, others go at their own pace to admire the incredible landscapes of Miyagi, including a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and the Asahi Mountain Range (only accessible from the peak).
North of Mount Zao, the Onikobe Ski Resortoffers the best ski runs with a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced slopes and boasts the longest ungroomed powder run in Miyagi. Skiers can also hit the slopes after dark, as night skiing is offered on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Many of the lodges feature on-site onsens – a cozy way to unwind after an eventful day of skiing.
Pittsburgh-born abstract painter, David Stephen Johnsons love for the arts stretches back to the 1970s, when he shared a studio space in Chicago with a sculptor from the Chicago Art Institute. Since then, Johnson has been building his own body of work, inspired by the post-war abstract expressionists, and will be unveiling his latest series at the highly anticipated Spectrum Miami art fair to mark his inaugural appearance during Miami Art Week.
Johnson was invited to exhibit his work by Michael Joseph, founder of ARTBLEND, the acclaimed South Florida based organization and one of the longest running gallery exhibitors at Spectrum Miami. Johnson will be presenting his most recent large scale canvas works from his Blue Series and Sono Series as part of this years ARTBLEND collective at booth 720 within the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, from Dec. 4 to Dec. 8. This will mark Johnsons debut and inaugural solo exhibit during Miami Art Week.
Im very excited to be making my debut during Miami Art Week at Spectrum Miami in collaboration with ARTBLEND one of South Floridas most established galleries, said David. Painting is like breathing to me. I am pulled in, to the work, every day. The process is a physical act. I connect to my body and to myself in a sort of visceral dance. The act of painting is unmediated by thought. It starts with a simple stroke or mark that leads to the next one in a continuous flow. Possibility and uncertainty are inherent to my practice. Always a play between anxiety, apprehension and, sometimes, when I get lucky, exhilaration. My language is color. I work with acrylic, house paint, oil, pastels, and graphite, which I apply directly on to the surface and rework with a scraper, paper, and rarely, a brush.
David Stephen Johnson was awarded a scholarship to college as a star quarterback, playing for South Dakota State, and later earned his BA in Business Administration at the University of Minnesota, Carlton School of Business. He fostered his love for art while developing a series of paintings for his first show at Riverside Gallery in Chicago.
While raising his family, David continued a successful career in advertising in both Miami and New York for the prestigious agency Lord, Geller, Federico, Einstein. He embraced his self-taught path in painting, building a deliberately unpublished body of work studying color and shape, partly influenced by post-war abstract expressionists. His natural athleticism and grace led him toward the great action painters, which informs his style and markmaking. In 2017 he retired from the business to pursue his passion for painting. He joined The Silvermine Art Center in Connecticut, a prestigious institute for the arts created in 1908 by the sculptor Solon Borglum. Since then, David has participated in several juried shows, expanding his work to large-scale canvases. He regularly collaborates with interior design firm Wowhaus, and other Greenwich area designers, for commission-based residential and commercial projects. In 2019, David had his first solo show at Southport Galleries in Connecticut.

Oh Wonder drops a surprise Christmas song “This Christmas”—listen HERE! The duo recently confirmed details of their third album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, which will be released on February 7th, 2020 and includes recent tracks “Hallelujah,” “Better Now” and “I Wish I Never Met You.” The duo has also confirmed international dates for the “Wear Your Crown Tour,” which is on sale now at www.ohwondermusic.com. See a full list of dates below.
“This Christmas” is an affecting Christmas gift (with a twist) from Oh Wonder, setting cinematic strings and seasonal sleigh-bells to those moments when the “festive” period feels anything but. Oh Wonder says, “We understand that the holidays can be a tough time for some people because they don’t necessarily have the ones they love around them. We wrote ‘This Christmas’ to acknowledge that it can be difficult and lonely, and hope it provides some comfort to anyone who is missing someone.”
Tackling dark topics with a lightness of touch – whether at Christmas, or all-year-round – is intrinsic to the appeal of Oh Wonder. The duo has amassed a huge global following along the way, with a top 10 album, a billion streams and global sold-out tours with over 300,000 tickets sold. It’s a personal and creative journey that scales new heights on Oh Wonder’s third album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, which was written and self-produced in the band’s home studio before being co-mixed with Cenzo Townshend (Bat For Lashes, Christine & The Queens, Jungle).
Oh Wonder has proved themselves a band able to capture those extreme highs and lows of everyday life. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown tackles everything from cheating exes (“I Wish I Never Met You”), self-doubt (“Hallelujah”) and the hospital waiting room (“Better Now”) to the realities of modern-day relationships (the band’s own included). It’s difficult not to leave feeling uplifted and entirely convinced of the quiet power of Oh Wonder. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown is a candid, restorative set that offers a welcome antidote to our turbulent times, from a band firmly writing their own bright future. For now though – Merry Christmas from Oh Wonder.

One of the things you can do in order to be romantic is to cook your partner a home-cooked meal with all the trimmings as a surprise. And, don’t sit down in front of the TV with your food! Make sure you create a wonderful, romantic setting with fine wine in an ice bucket, candles, soft music, the works. This will create a fabulous intimate restaurant feel but you won’t have to worry about other people cramping your style.
For those who can afford to take a little time out and splash a little cash, booking a romantic trip away as a surprise for your partner is a great idea. If the weather is good, you can always arrange a romantic afternoon picnic with your partner, which is a great way to enjoy some quality time together but won’t cost the earth. If you have a pleasant park or beach near to where you live, you can head there for your relaxing afternoon. If not, you could even set up the picnic blanket in your own garden and enjoy total privacy. You will be able to sit back and chat, enjoy spending time as a couple, nibble on delicious snacks, and enjoy a drink or two.
All of these provide you with romantic and simple solutions to surprising your partner and adding some romance into your relationship. These are steps that will help to show how much you care by the effort and thought you have put into it.

The Principality of Monaco, steeped in motorsports history, once again proved the perfect location for the FIM Awards, with tonight’s glittering ceremony declared a huge success for the almost six hundred guests who packed into the beautiful Sporting Monte-Carlo venue. In front of an audience, including representatives from the one hundred and eleven national federations, motorcycling legends, various members of the FIM, championship promoters, manufacturer and team representatives, sponsors and other invited international guests, the 2019 FIM World Champions were duly rewarded for their respective sporting achievements.
During the glamorous ceremony riders from all disciplines were invited to the stage to collect their FIM gold medals, with many having their own individual stories of a season-long battle that required both dedication and determination to eventually reach their ultimate goal. With his brother Marc absent due to recent surgery, Alex Marquez was on hand to collect his FIM Moto2 Grand Prix prize, as was five-time FIM Superbike World Champion Jonathan Rea.
Illustrating the diversity amongst the 2019 FIM World Champions the aforementioned two Circuit Racing heroes tonight stood shoulder to shoulder with two motorcycling heroines in the form of six-time FIM Women’s TrialGP World Champion Emma Bristow and newly crowned FIM Women’s Motocross World Champion Courtney Duncan from New Zealand.

Whilst Bradley Freeman – FIM EnduroGP and E1 World Champion – and Toni Bou – FIM TrialGP and FIM X-Trial World Champion – both collected two gold medals each tonight.
In addition to celebrating the bravery and exploits of the many FIM World Champions, it was also a moment to recognise the work done by others – individuals and organisations – who continue to work tirelessly for the benefit of motorcycling overall, with the presentation of the following four very important FIM Awards.
The FIM Environmental Award was won by Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, whilst it was Motorcycle Clothing Assessment Program – Australasia who collected the FIM Road Safety Award on this occasion. The highly competitive FIM Women in Motorcycling Award, which received eight nominations this year, eventually went to MissBiker – Italy after much deliberation. Finally, the FIM Award for the Future was won by Hobby Sport – Primi Passi FMI – Italy.
Throughout the ceremony, the long list of prizes and awards were presented by a highly decorated group of true motorcycling legends. These included Max Biaggi – FIM Circuit Tacing Legend; Joël Robert – FIM Motocross Legend; Juha Salminen – FIM Enduro Legend; Carmelo Ezpeleta – FIM Promoter Legend; Rob Rasor – FIM Family Legend; and Guy Maitre – FIM Family Legend, who were all recognised for their own contributions.
Both proud and delighted to have hosted this memorable evening, FIM President Jorge Viegas remarked: “ It has been a wonderful night. Having the chance to have all the World Champions together with Promoters and the FIM Family is very special. The riders made huge efforts during the whole season; they are here tonight and we are very happy.“
Youth Against AIDS and AXA announce a collaboration to build a prevention platform for the young generation
On occasion of World AIDS Day 2019 Youth Against AIDS (YAA) and AXA announced a collaboration to support YAA´s efforts to create a comprehensive sexual health and prevention platform for the young generation.
Digital tools and technical innovations are creating new opportunities in the fight against sexually transmitted diseases. This is especially true for prevention amongst young people. YAA and AXA use the advantages of the omnipresence of smartphones and growing demand of digital services to reach young people regardless of location or time. The platform, called FAQ YOU, includes a chatbot to answer the most common and pressing questions about sexual health and sexually transmitted diseases (FAQs) 24/7. The beta version of the chatbot will be launched in the US. Further tools will be integrated into the platform which will give young users guidance to services like conducting HIV tests, finding an STI clinic or condom dispensers or getting in touch with medical services via tele medicine. The platform aims to complement personal counseling services, which are often unavailable for young people, at at later stage.
“Today, we see many silos in the sexual health sector. It remains a challenge for our generation to access credible content, get the right answers on demand and to access youth-friendly services. We want to change this by creating a digital one-stop-shop solution for all needs on sexual health and education that meet the needs of our young target group. We believe that we need more innovation in prevention and FAQ YOU will be our answer to push these topics and to make a difference in the life of young people. We are grateful for the commitment of AXA that enables us to use modern technologies to help our generation to live healthier lives.”
– Daniel Nagel, CEO Youth against AIDS
“The partnership with Youth Against AIDS is very exciting for AXA – with this initiative we support YAA to evolve from a communication and awareness channel for youth to a digital source of health related content and services on sexual health and other taboo topics. We bring our expertise in emerging technologies and data while remaining true to our commitment to health and disease prevention.”
