Stowe × Okemo

A combination of world-class snowmaking and favorable temperatures have allowed both Stowe and Okemo to start making snow at higher elevations during the first weekend of November. Sister resort, Mount Sunapee, in New Hampshire, will begin snowmaking soon as well.
 
Opening day for the 2019/2020 season at all three resorts is approaching quickly. Stowe and Okemo are targeting November 22 as the start of winter operations, while Mount Sunapee is aiming for November 27. All three resorts will commemorate their opening days with “First Chair” celebrations.
 
Last year, Stowe and Okemo opened for the season in mid-November with top-to-bottom terrain. Efforts are being made to accomplish that again this year.

Important Uphill Information
At this time, with extensive snowmaking operations taking place, all uphill traffic is prohibited on Mount Mansfield.  The use of heavy equipment and active high-pressure air and water systems around the mountain create a hazardous environment for anyone other than our snowmaking professionals. Uphill access on Mansfield will begin when the designated uphill routes become available. In the interim, uphill travel is only permitted on the Sterling trail at Spruce Peak. With over 35 million printed copies sold, the book Alcoholics Anonymous is now available in an updated abridged translation into American Sign Language. Commonly referred to as “The Big Book” this basic text of the worldwide Fellowship that bears its name is now available on DVD to the Deaf community, the Hard-of-Hearing community and the hearing community as well.

SELENA GOMEZ FIRST NO. 1

Selena Gomez’s first single, “Lose You To Love Me,” from her highly anticipated third solo album, marks a historic moment for the singer as she lands her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Gomez co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Mattias Larsson with additional production from FINNEAS. “Lose You To Love Me,” available via Interscope Records, immediately dominated and shot to No.1 at Global Spotify, Apple Music and US iTunes.  In the US the song, with 38.8 million streams this week, has over 58.5 million cumulative streams. Later this month, Selena will return to the stage at the “American Music Awards.”  This will mark her first live televised performance in two years.  The “2019 American Music Awards” will broadcast live on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.

Earlier this year, Gomez was featured on “I Can’t Get Enough” with Benny Blanco, J Balvin and Tainy. What to Do in the Cold Winter Months

The winter months bring with them many other things, such as the Christmas season, hot chocolate, cozy sweaters, and warm fires. They also bring with them the winter holidays, giving everyone some time to unwind and relax.
